Prompt, excellent service. Knowledgeable server who gave good suggestions. She was friendly and nice. Hot, fresh, delicious food! Our table had liver with bacon and onions, Fettuccine Alfredo (which was creamy not watery) and as for moi, I had lasagne with Ceasar salad as my starter. My salad had lots of real bacon on it and had the perfect amount of dressing (usually at other restaurants I have to ask for more dressing it is too dry). Great establishment, great portion size, great menu options! I'm impressed... Lindsay has some good restaurants...watch out Oshawa you got some competition!

Honestly like this old style restaurant. Simple menu with most hot plate items expected on it. Tues. And Sat. They have roast turkey. Consistant quality for the most part but have had a few issues that were handled with no problem.

Garlic bread was burnt spaghetti was soupy. I was there before Christmas with my father and brother ( I'm sorry for them , they are always like that, I don't live with either of them) spaghetti was still good, great flavor, and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. I will be back, minus my father and brother, but I don't think I'll order the garlic bread again

This place was a joke. Waitress was an old crusty lady that coughed all over our table and couldn't handle the most basic tasks. For example: what is the soup today? Not a trick question.. I had the ALL DAY breakfast around 3pm, I'm pretty sure that sausage and bacon literally sat there ALL DAY. Good thing I didn't order it after 4pm lol. They charge an extra $1.50 for that complicated request :). Don't get me started on the 80's decor, dirty floors, disgusting bathrooms. Guess I should have expect that when our laminated menu became our placemat lol fml.

After years of avoiding the place do to a bad experience I thought I would try again. The service was bad and it was way to dark for brunch and if you were thinking of relaxing, don't. Your food will be cold before you put down your phone. And who charges extra for cold rye toast? Plus it seems that if you are a regular over seventy you get served first. Watching two other tables have there order taken upon entry while you and your gross coffee grow cold is a good indication things will not improve.

I took my family who are visiting from Sweden to this restaurant for lunch .We waited approximately 15 minutes and during that time was told by the waitress that she would be with us in a minute she then preceded to chat with the other customers who had the finished there meal. When we finally attracted her attention to place are order she told us she would be with us when she could as she was very busy. Her tone of voice was very aggressive and we told her we were leaving and she obviously didn't care. I then complaint to the manager regarding the waitresses attitude and she also didn't seem to care. I have been a long time customer at this restaurant. However based on my last 2 experiences with the same waitress I will never go back.

I remember going here with my grandma everytime I got to stay with her growing up. It was her favourite and only breakfast she’d take me to. I lost her to cancer 5 years ago and haven’t gone since...I was missing her tonight and thought of our memories here and hoped it was still open. I’m so glad it still is. We always loved it here and it’s now a part of very special memories to me. I live hours away but if I can find the courage to come back I know it will be worth the drive. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for keeping the same cosy environment I remember ( judging by photos posted here ).

Their "famous" prime rib was a piece of raw beef that was fried. It was undercooked and still had fat on it that had never been cooked. The baked potato was hard from sitting in a steamer for so long. And the pie was in an individual shell that looked like the filling had been half eaten and then refilled by scooping filling into it.

This is the third time we went there for supper. We both had the special. Roast pork with apple stuffing, gravy, French fries, mixed veggies and a side of apple sauce. The service was excellent, food was hot and delicious. We did not like the mixed veggies, as they were way over cooked. Tasted like canned, not fresh. The only problem is the kitchen. It seems to take forever to cook the food, but it is Usually very hot and delicious and large servings. The meal, drinks and tip for 2 came to under $60. I noticed they have a seniors menu on the reverse side. Same menu, smaller servings, lower prices. Maybe try it next time.

This Hidden Lil Gem is hidden in the heart of Lindsay behind the Square Mall. If you haven't tried this place, then you are missing out! The Restaurant is a bit dated with its appearance, however the service was excellent and friendly. The food where do I start, Salisbury Steak was great, the different types of flavors on the plate was worth the wait. Mashed potatoes were really not chunky or liquidity just perfect. Alfredo (sorry son wouldn't let me take a photo) Was homemade sauce thick noodles comfort food at its finest. Lasagna I have high standards for this & this met with them even went slightly over them. Best in Ontario! The sauce to noodles were on key, the cheese Omg the taste mixed with the perfect amount of spices were pairing hypothesis. The temperature was hot like steam with each mouth full. Every bite was delightful & brought you to wanting more. The taste was luscious ... Great cooking is about being inspired by the simple things around you — fresh markets, various spices, people and taste Hats off to the Chefs that made tonight's food. Dessert was successful the moment you close your eyes and really taste the flavors. Great Baker ... I would give the restaurant 5 stars, but the bathroom was your only downside do the ceilings and give me an invite back it will be worth 10 stars . Large Quantity, Excellent Quality Fair time, Great prices, Great location Great. Thanks for the scare & Laughs tonight!

We had dinner here a few months ago and it was really terrible, but thought we would give this place another chance for breakfast. Food was good, hot and delivered quite quickly. Portion was huge, waitress was polite and price not too bad. Do not like the décor at all, too dark and dated but all in all it was acceptable. Would probably go back, but for breakfast only.

I have been going to Neabors Restaurant since I was just a kid . I had my first wedding anniversary there as well as my Christmas turkey dinner with my wife. The staff are very pleasant to deal with and the food is incredible. If you are looking for a nice home cooked meal at a great price, this is your spot . Turkey Tuesday paired up with a delicious pie dessert is an absolute 10/10 HIGHLEY RECOMMEND

My mom & I have been here quite often; we had used to come here shortly before I started dating my boyfriend a couple years ago (I haven’t been with Him yet though, Next week, we shall. Around my Birthday then perhaps.) They have a regular menu, and Also, a Gluten Free menu! And “All-Day Breakfast”! Yum. Here’s a couple pictures I’ve got from a bit far-back in my camera-roll on my phone (actually turned out to be within the last couple years). A downfall of this place: Their lighting. It’s fairly dark in the restaurant, with..floors lights? I think...anyways, it’s dark, and not particularly complimentary unfortunately. It’s in a good, local spot. Right near the town of Lindsay “Mall”. There’s a driver’s testing nearby, so it could be a good Gluten Free spot for people coming from areas like Toronto. Except for the lighting. My guess is it’s because they get a lot of Seniors as their customers, by what I’ve noticed.

We stopped here to enjoy the all-day breakfast, fish and chips and a roast beef dinner. Our family really enjoyed the meal, the quiet setting and the service. We considered getting desert but the server didn't come back to take our order so we didn't. We would love to eat here again if we're in the area.

Hubby and I like to stop here for a good breakfast when we come to Lindsay to do some shopping, they have a full breakfast,lunch and dinner menu. Many items can be made gluten free at your request. We've also had lunch items and they have daily specials plus a full array of fresh pies. I haven't tried the pies but based on the yummy meals we've had I'm sure they'd be tasty too. The restaurant is located at the back of the mall, you can enter through the mall or through the side door. Check it out next time your in Lindsay!

Been thinking on posting this for a while. My father used to work there and we were treated great! Been in a few more times with family and no issues treated great, my mom knows the owners very well. However, last time I went in with my significant other, they seated us in the very back by the washrooms (every other patron was seated on that "top level" section), didn't ask us what we wanted to drink only gave us water, took over fifteen minutes to even get our order placed and we knew exactly what we wanted, other customers that came in after were served first, and food was a bit dry. Absolutely disgusted with how we were treated, thank you Bill and Joanne Konkle the fantastic memories as a child. However seeing as how much this business has declined I will never come back to your restaurant. Have a great day.

I gave this place a 3 star based on my most recent visit only because I know this place can be better. My GF and I ordered the Turkey Club toasted. The toast was burnt for both of ours. The lettuce on hers looked questionable for quality. My GF had fries with her meal and it was way over cooked. The waitress never once asked how our meal was. Yes we could have waived her down and brought this to her attention but it seemed she wasn’t concerned. The overall experience was not a good one. Will try this place again in hopes to have the good experience I know they can provide.

Disapointed ! this was a family favorite but we ran into a lot of changes last sat night. They refused to serve breakfast even though the menu offered it. Not the children friendly place we have come to know and they seemed really put out that we didnt have a reservation. There was 5 of us and they only had 6 tables occupied when we got there with 3 servers.

Worst restaurant ever! 3 different visits, 3 horrible experiences. First experience: Went in casual clothing, for dinner. The server looked up head to toe multiple times, before even turning to seat us. She treated us horribly for the entire meal. Second experience: Went in for an early dinner with a family member. The restaurant was basically empty. It still took 5 minutes before a server took our order. Right after she put it in, someone she recognized came in, and she chatted with them while taking their order. They happened to order the same thing we did. When our food was ready, it was served to their table, despite them arriving well after us. If it had been a different meal, with a shorter cook time, I could understand, but it was the exact same meal! The final straw: I decided to try breakfast, because clearly dinner service was a failure. I asked to substitute cheesy home fries for regular home fries on one of the menu items. All that was required was to add cheese. I said that I understood if it cost extra, and was more than happy to pay. I was told that that was in no way possible. If I wanted the cheesy home fries, I would need to order the breakfast that included them. The problem was that one of the items in that breakfast was baked beans, something I am allergic to. I agreed to the listed breakfast, but said it was imperative that the baked beans not be added, due to an allergy. She said that would be no problem. When I got my breakfast, baked beans were poured over EVERYTHING! My toast, my homefries, my eggs. When I mentioned it to the server, she rolled her eyes, and got a side plate, slammed it down next to me, and told me to scrape it off. One bad experience could be someone having a bad day. The second could be someone pandering to a friend. The third one had no excuse. I will never go to this restaurant again, and I will proactively tell EVERYONE I know how horrible it is. The day it closes will be the best day in Lindsay.

The service and wait time was not very good. But the one thing that really upset me was the high chair they provided for my daughter was HORRIBLE! It was like one you would have at home with the cloth seat. It looked like it had never been cleaned, EVER! It was brown and stained and I was absolutely disgusted by it. Asking for a different one, they provided another one in the same state as the first and the table part to attach was broken or something. I can't believe they had the audacity to look at that and say "yeah, that's okay for a baby to sit in". I ended up putting a blanket on it and just dealing with it. But I just can't believe everyone that works there has seen these and never thought they were a problem. Not one person would come into a restaurant and sit in such filth, I don't know why they think my baby should. I think this is a serious health code violation.

I keep coming back to this place because it makes me feel comfortable. When I called today to check for availability, the lady on the line was so warm and welcoming. "You betcha, see ya soon!" We arrived and they had us reserved for upstairs, but my Mom has a walker so they quickly cleaned a nearby table and got us seated. Great first few minutes! Now for the food. Homemade everything! The mashed potatoes were like my Mom just made them right there! The turkey gravy was downright drinkable! The chicken parmesan was viking sized! My sister is enjoying her second helping as I type this. Our server was so attentive, and used phrases like "you're most certainly welcome" and "my pleasure". I will update my review after I get her name because she deserves credit! It's just a really great place to go and eat. My Mom lives in Lindsay and we try to go here each time we visit. The owner's are clearly doing it right, and it shows in the staff and the food. Well done! Edit; Thanks so much for replying! Please extend my thanks to Jean and her wonderful service! When I got the mini peach blueberry pie home I popped it in the oven for a short time to warm it up. Let me just say I couldn't even speak the entire time I was eating it. The peaches were so fresh, the blueberries popped and there was a creamy, tart filling surrounding the fruit. Out of this world!

I often visit this restaurant with my Mom, and we have never had a bad experience yet! Last weekend we had a Birthday Lunch for her with 34 of her family and friends attending. Everyone at the restaurant was very accommodating and pleasant as usual. The food was great, and everyone was served in good timing! I was very impressed with how they handled everything from the moment we called to see if they can handle a large group to the very end of our little get together! As we are new to town (and the area) we have been trying some of the restaurants , and so far the service and staff have been exceptional. Until last Friday (March 3 2017). We thought we would try Neabors, What a Mistake. I don't know if they were short staffed or not , but for god's sake acknowledge people when the come into your establishment. We walked in, stood there a moment, not realizing it was seat yourself. When I made eye contact with one of the staff, she kind of nodded to the empty table right at the door (terrible draft coming in) anyway we waited, and waited. Hmmm. A couple , with children came in and sat at the messy table behind us . The waitress came over , "let me clear that and got them drinks. A couple of elderly gentlemen came in , took a look around (I'm assuming for a table), the girl said , there is an empty table over in the corner , will be right over to clean it off. Once again SERIOUSLY !!!!!! After , somewhere between 12 and 15 minutes , and nobody even acknowledging we were there, my husband and I looked at each other and went "NOPE....WE'RE OUT OF HERE..........don't know what the food is like and probably will never know, I'm just glad we didn't have any guests with us .............

Solid service for breakfast or brunch. Couple slices of bacon, eggs sunnyside up and a nice little portion of perfect cooked hash browns - all with a lovely rye toast; served quick and pleasantly. Been in quite a few times, service and food have been consistent.
