This occurred on Mar.17, 2020. Your business hours say you are opening at 11:30AM. One may presume that being there at the opening time would mean the doors open at 11:30AM. We stood outside for a few minutes waiting for someone to open the door to us, but we were ignored. We could clearly see 3 people inside the restaurant. We even knocked on the door as well as the dining area window, and were ignored. We decided to leave, and once across the street, we saw someone on the phone walking towards the window and entrance where we just were. If you are not ready to open on time it least have the courtesy to tell us. Very unprofessional and will not be wasting our money there in the future.

Wasn’t sure which place to eat when in Kamloops as passing through, but very happy that I came across this restaurant. The calamari was done a lot differently then I was expecting but I did really enjoy. Had the margarita pizza for my main course which was very good as well. I love a good thin crust which they delivered. The staff was friendly and helpful with options on the menu. Very neat that the kitchen is open so you can see how they are handling your food. The bar was lite up and looked awesome which I did really enjoy. Thanks for a great lunch and if I do come into Kamloops again I will be sure to come back and I will tell my friends about this place as well.

I have yet to dine inside, but from what I could see when I picked up my food, the vibe and decor are both dialed in. We hosted a small retirement party in our home and had the Underbelly cater the food. Zero room for improvement; our dishes were ready on time, the presentation was amazing and taste was even better. Crowd please and the perfect touch to our special evening. Thanks again!

A great new addition to the Kamloops food scene. We certainly needed an upscale, casual place with emphasis on excellent food. The menu is varied, and interesting, with a Mediterranean flare. The impressive Forno is capable of producing any number of great baked dishes, and Chef J has imagination to spare. Likewise the drinks menu impressed us with the thought and creativity that went into its making. The service was pleasant and non-intrusive, and there was a delightful vibe of excitement on the side of both patrons and staff. I expect this will be the new ‘to go’ place in town, and it will only get better.

Short rib is great. I like the sauce, the meat, the onion rings. This restaurant is a sister of The Noble Pig. The price is in a normal range. Salad was interesting. Chicken was good, we shared. Bottle of wine. $46. Our bill came to $120. before tip. Our server's were very nice. Our friends enjoyed their food.

It was difficult to come to an appropriate rating, The food was great and the servers were attentive and friendly. The acoustics however, were not so good. The concrete floors and brick walls make easy conversation a real challenge when it is busy. I don't think I will go back for that reason.

We were excited to try this new restaurant, especially since it's owned by one of our other favorite restaurants in Kamloops, #thenoblepig, and we were definitely not disappointed. My husband had the linguine and I had the tuna. Both were outstanding. I really enjoyed the flavor of the harissa sauce and the texture of the Israeli couscous which both paired beautiful with the perfectly seared tuna steak. It was one of the best meals I've ever had. The service was also excellent. We will definitely be back!

Went back in on an invite from manager. Pasta, potatoes and pizza all excellent. Excellent service will be back for more. Thanks Ordered charcuterie plate and sausage pizza. Pizza dough was “doughy” undercooked toppings tasted good. Don’t think oven was up to heat from other wood fired pies I have had. The charcuterie plate was okay pickles were soft and lacked flavour, cream cheese had no flavour. Bread was good and other cheese, meat and spreads were good. Overall was disappointed in pizza and underwhelmed by charcuterie.

Loved the fig and prosciutto pizza — the crust was perfectly thin, and the fig, prosciutto and gorgonzola on top came together so well! The short rib croquettes (off the menu) are also worth your time!! The lemony lager made in house(?) paired great with our food choices.

Stopped in Kamloops on our way to Vancouver from the Rockies. Had very low expectations about the restaurants scene there but ended up at Forno. What a surprise! Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and fantastic food. From the simple pizza margherita to the more elaborated lamb meat balls, we enjoyed all dishes they served. 5 stars easy

Went here for brunch with family and friends. This is a great modern family restaurant. Went above and beyond to make dining out with a little one pleasant. The frittata was delicious and the potatoes were mouth watering. Never thought I'd be so impressed by brunch potatoes. A definite gem for brunch in Kamloops.

Amazing food and incredible staff. I went in with an allergy that is notoriously difficult to accommodate and the expectation that I’d be eating iceberg lettuce and some form of mediocre protein, as per protocol at most restaurants (which I’m used to and have no problem with!) BUT, our server took it upon herself to see that I did not eat a “sad little salad” as she so eloquently put it. Between her and the kitchen, they came up with a mouthwatering meal and experience that I won’t soon forget! Highly recommend to anyone and everyone :) PS, for you foodies without allergies, my boyfriend had the carbonara and was thoroughly impressed ????

Well done. Was a bit worried with the table we were seated at that it would be high traffic and too noisy to have a conversation but it was perfect. Noise level was enough that your conversation was private yet also could speak at a normal level and be heard. Enjoyed the ambience - had that Mediterranean vibe - could maybe use a little more art work on the walls, service was EXCEPTIONAL - and this is very notable as it is often lacking in small towns such as Kamloops. The food was very good, the menu had a variety of offerings. Keep it up Forno on 5th. Highly recommend.

Friday night was packed with people. We waited with drinks at the bar. After 15 min was offered a menu to order appetizer. After another 30 min we were seated at table. The bar was shoulder to shoulder. The menu had gluten free options. The pan fried trout was perfect. The skin was crispy and the veggies and garnish was flavourful. The steak my boyfriend ate was chewy due to the cut so we would not recommend it. The appetizer of eggplant caponata was very nice. The lighting above the wall seating was too bright for evening dining. I would recommend they dim it down. The bathrooms were tiny and clean. The toilet paper was tricky as the roll was near empty and hard to turn. Service. When at the bar my boyfriend was offered a second drink after he waited for at least 5 min after I received my first. I was not offered a second drink until our appetizer came. My first coffee was not hot. When seated at the table we did not receive water or have it offered. We had friendly pleasant servers.

My wife and i heard about forno and desided to try it last night . Walking in on a monday they left a lasting impression with there high end feel of there layout and decore. If you are a tall person you will want to grab a seat in a chair or a stool as benches are slightly higer than normal. The servers realy knew there menue and where very friendly . It only got better from there . The food was amazing . The food had full flavour showed up hot , well prepared in presentation and tasted amazing .

I'll start out by saying that the food is excellent and I am a long time customer of both the Noble Pig and Underbelly when it was called Forno on Fifth. I also praise both these restaurants for their good quality local food and freshly made food. Since the Underbelly has opened I have visited twice, and was overall happy with the new menu, but found myself missing some plates from Forno, like the Meza platter and the cast iron focaccia which filled the entire cast iron pan it was served in; as opposed to the small pieces served in the same dish as a part of the Satay Hummus dish. The portion sizes are also just a little light and if your hungry you should order an appetizer with your meal. I am also happy to see a few more vegetarian dishes, especially since the Noble Pig has had fewer and fewer vegetarian options on their menu. Overall the service is excellent and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food is great quality and flavours are excellent. The Underbelly is definitely worth the price!

We have been meaning to try Underbelly by the Pig since it reopened. Our Sunday date was great! We started with an appetizer of Marinated Feta -YUM! I had oven baked chicken and the hubs had open faced cheesesteak with potato salad. The fresh ingredients and creative recipe are apparent. Our server Steph was amazing - organized, genuine, prompt. She made our visit very enjoyable. Our bartender came over to make sure my husband was enjoying his scotch, and to discuss their other scotch options and personal favorites. Cheers to the chef and kitchen staff for an excellent meal. We will be back!

Just had lunch there for the first time. The restraunt is very nice to look at....nice pipework on the walls, bar looked very cool as well....i ordered the Lamb Burger and my Girlfriend ordered the Margherita Pizza....both were very good, 9/10....i ordered a beer that some hipster gomer would probably drink 10 of and then go protest an oil pipeline somewhere....i won't order that beer again....but that's more on me liking beer that wasn't made with pepper....go figure. The server was great, very friendly and answered the questions we had with ease. I will revisit this place and highly recommend it. It's hard to believe it's the same owners as the Noble Pig because you get better service at a drive thru Timmies than that place, it's that bad....

Sorry, no photos! Tried it for the first time tonight with a group of 8. Excellent service, beautiful restaurant, food was wonderful. I personally tried the pork belly and shrimp appetizer, steak dinner, couscous salad with tuna, and apple cake dessert. Also had some wine and the gin sour cocktail. Some notes: pork belly in appetizer was slightly overcooked so had a tough/dry texture; the shrimp, however, was done to perfection - plump and juicy and JUST pink. Tuna and couscous had wonderful Mediterranean flavours, but severely under-seasoned. Cocktails were too sweet, entire table had to order "half sweet" for our second rounds. Overall, would highly recommend this place in Kamloops and we intend to return to try more menu items!

Great spot to eat in Kamloops. I had the seared tuna plate, which was delicious. The bartender was cool and very professional. All the servers gave that place a cool vibe. I'll definitely be back. Made two stops here during my business trip to Kamloops. First visit I had the antipasti board for my meal which was quite nice. A good variety of cheeses and veg however there could have been an extra slice of each meat. Second visit I ordered the salami pizza. Good flavour, loved the roasted garlic but again meat ratio was very low. I counted 7 rounds on the pizza which didn’t even equate to one round per slice. Being the only meat on the pizza and quite thinly sliced I expected a few more slices. Also I found the pizza menu to be quite small. For having a beautiful expensive oven I think you are not capitalizing on that opportunity. Service was excellent friendly and attentive.

well after a very long wait and not getting everything I ordered I got to say I was very disappointed. I had the chicken and i didnt end up eating it all but took it home to eat the rest the next day for lunch when i cut more into it it was still pink very uncooked. They need more staff too as our table was only a table of 3 and yes it was a busier day so could forgive the long wait for food but we only got 1 drink as the server didnt even come back to ask us if we wanted more. I also am not a fan of the high tables with the super uncomfy chairs. If your food is going to take an hour to serve than it is important to have comfy chairs! I wont be going back
