This is my fiance's and my favorite breakfast joint in town! Their bennies are insanely yummy, the hashbrowns are always hot and on point, and the servers are super nice. This morning I had the bruschetta benny on special with spinach added and pesto hollandaise - it was DIVINE. Such a great balance of rich and fresh flavors. Just wanted to give you guys kudos because you're doing a killer job!

I have only heard good things about this place so I was excited to try it out! The whole experience however was kind of odd. Initially we just wanted baked goods but somehow got seated for food so we were like ok might as well, I got the traditional breakfast and my husband got the pulled pork Benny. I asked for hard eggs as runny yolks are gross but that’s what I got. The ham claims to be thick sliced but it’s as thin as deli meat. Decided to give a dessert a whirl and it was dry as ol hell.Long story short it was pretty disappointing.

When I looked on the chair I was about to sit I already lost my appetite. Should of left right there.The food...-my stomach did not take it well, yet I paid $12 for this! Their food is amazing! Cooked right there in the restaurant by the family of the same name, they have a cozy downtown atmosphere. Great for lunch and now even serving dinner from a variety of cultures. The staff is friendly and familiar to anyone who works downtown. It's a place I keep going and everytime the food just gets better! It's a bit hidden to find but that's part of the cozy atmosphere!

House smoker, classic German brunch food, freshly made excellence. I recommend the beef dip and the German split pea and ham soup, but those bennys really draw in a crowd too. I drink the au jus when the sandwich is done, just to keep the party in my mouth going. Thanks Passek's for making my day!

Nice people, friendly service but the food was not good at all . I ordered the smoked turkey panini and it came on a stale Costco bun that was cold. Paninis are supposed to be grilled and hot. My salad had rotten lettuce in it. ????

Just moved to Kamloops from Winnipeg where I had a nice restaurant that felt very homie with great prices and great food. Was disappointed to leave. But then I came to Kamloops and on one of the days I was looking for some lunch I stumbled upon Passeks. Looks like I found my restaurant again. Great food - love the pulled pork recipes. Great Prices Even better triple X home made hot sauce. put that on everything. I just also found out they do take out..... best day ever.

While on a business trip to Kamloops My wife and I had lunch here at the sidewalk tables on September 16, 2021. I had the Reuben sandwich, she had soup and focaccia bread. The service was excellent, and the food very good. We went to Passeks because I was looking for food that was a bit of a step up from the usual lunch fare. I relied on google and tripadvisor reviews. Passeks did not disappoint. It is a step above the usual lunch fare for sure. My reuben came as per my order on a dark rye bread, the meat was hand sliced, and the potato salad (german style) was really great. I would absolutely eat there again on my next trip.

Basically perfection! We have walked by this resteraunt numerous times. Today we tried it because another local resteraunt was too busy . Very glad we did. Excellent food, quality ingredients and great customer service. Lovely atmosphère cute and laid back . Food was hot and fast. Cooked perfectly . I would reccomend this spot to anyone anytime :) If you havent been here, try it!!! Ill come back . New fav breakfast spot.

I'm from out of town, so I don't know how this place is supposed to be quality wise when the chef is not mad. I ordered the eggs Benny brisket, and a small breakfast with hash browns, the hash where old and stale I fear for people's teeth, some of the hash was burnt, the eggs I asked for medium some where poached easy medium and over hard. While waiting for my food, the chef starting swearing at a waitress and talking down to her about a mistake concerning two eggs, really over two eggs, get your act together and start caring about your food quality and if you have perfect quality then you can be Ramsay, until then shut up and make those dam eggs have a happy customer and create loyal customers. More to add, the eggs for the Benny where poached under soft, I asked for medium, the hash browns that came with the Benny where huge no consistency in the cut from paper thin to gigantic, the brisket if you can call it that was somehow spicy , the taste was thrown off with it being spicey, I don't think I'd let someone else but me food there. In the end save your money and if you want to be disappointed just go to McDonald's and ask for an eggs Benny there, when they say sorry we don't do that just be glad you wasted your time there instead of passeks.

Great place for patio lunch or a breakfast inside! The potato wedges that came with the Benedict was perfect. Don't overlook the soup option, the curry cauliflower was a pleasant surprise!

Would give less stars if I could! Have been there twice a few months ago. The server was very rude could hear her mumbling under her breath about an old couple. She was basically yelling at him because he had a hearing aid in and became very impatient with him. It was near closing time as well and can hear the kids in the back using vulgar language and playing loud music with swearing and racist words in it. My second visit I could hear the owner the cook swearing about something in the kitchen when asked to stop by a server he replied by saying he doesnt care it is his restaurant. They don’t accommodate what the customer wants because “it is their restaurant” and servers are very rude and short tempered with customers. The food isn’t even that good and the cook has a skin condition all over his arms that should be covered!

They have the most fabulous breakfasts! I was there yesterday morning with my husband and he convinced me to try the apple cinnamon pancakes. I'm known for not being willing to try out new things, but when these came out and had real apples slices in them, just OMG. Imagine buttermilk pancakes with a bit of cinnamon mixed in and real apple slices. It was heaven! And the prices are also amazing! You HAVE TO go here!!

I just visited Passes Classics and was very pleased with the offerings on the menu. The in house made pulled pork sounded amazing. Unfortunately we waited for 20 minutes to have our order taken after being served coffee. 3 other tables which arrived after us were served. We finally got fed up (but not really) and decided to leave. When we offered to just pay for the coffee the server just ignored us and took another tables order. Too bad. We really wanted to try some place new. Oh well, I'm writing this review from a booth at Denny's. Try the Lumberjack slam, it's average!

Don’t let the exterior fool you, don’t pass this place up!! Huge servings, the friendliest and quick service, delicious food with 3 different types of hollandaise sauce?! They have Caesars with breakfast! Good coffee. You can also pre-order a variety of gorgeous breads, cinnamon rolls, and soft pretzels (the day before). We will be back again and again!! Food was so delicious looking I forgot to stop and snap a picture!

Great food and service. The atmosphere would be top notch too, except for one thing. Sadly, your acoustics are absolutely terrible. Even at half-capacity it becomes difficult to carry on a conversation. Add some carpet to the floor and some acoustic tile to the ceiling and I would gladly give you a five star rating.

The meal here was very delicious. The location was easy to get to and it is open quite early to allow for breakfast before work. The only waiter there was a bit rude, They did seem courteous at first but was very short in all conversation. When we ordered food and then wanted to change something we were denied because the order was already made. The waiter did not ever come to the table to check up on us and we were left with empty glasses. But the good food and relatively cheap prices leads to the 3 stars.

I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for years. I have recommended it to people in the community many times. Unfortunately after my experience yesterday I will not be back. We ordered our food within 10 mins of arriving. We then sat and waited for 52 mins with no food.. all with empty coffee and water, we watched people who came in after us arrive and be served there food and leave, finally we had to get up and ask what was going on, we were told our server had incorrectly input our food order and it was delayed. Then when our food finally was ready the entire order was dropped on the floor. I understand that sometimes things happen and are beyond the servers control. In these situations communication is key, at no point we’re we told about any of these delays. The server could have easily come over and admitted her mistake and maybe filled our drinks? I have worked in customer service for many years and sadly the level of customer service here is not good. It’s one thing to leave a table waiting for an hour.. but to leave them sitting with empty coffee too? We ended up having to leave without receiving our food because after being there for over an hour we were all beyond frustrated. When we went to pay for our coffees there was really no remorse from the serving staff. No solution was offered. Sadly a long time customer of this restaurant will not return. This has not a thing to do with the food because when you do get the food it is delicious, but the lack of experience throughout the serving staff is a shame.

If you're craving a schnitzel, this is the spot. The mushroom sauce us amazing. Really good service and the German desserts were really authentic. I used to live in Bavaria and I can say that the food was authentic style and tasty delicious.

We called in to preorder our food five minutes before we arrived and we had a table ready on arrival with our food already present. The prices were reasonable, (~10$) and the food simple but scrumptious. The service was excellent, we did not have to wait in line, and the atmosphere was cozy. This restaurant can accommodate groups but also has nice booths for a date. A great place to stop in the next time one visits kamloops!

The atmosphere is not what I was expecting in the new location (reminds me of a cafeteria), the old location had such vibrant colors. Tried the German Cheesecake for the first time...it is gooooood.

My wife and I were here this morning. After showing vax card (which is a new experience) we enjoyed a great breakfast. First time at new location. Coffee/Espresso was good. Everything from the toast, potatoes and eggs were perfect! Staff was friendly. Just miss the Huevos ranchero due to shortened menu (thx COVID-19) no longer available. So I had the veggie Benny instead. Mmm pesto hollandaise. We’ll be back for sure!!! Love the new location thanks

Will never go back to this place again. We ordered Split Pea & Ham soup and Chorizo skillet. We could not find any ham in the soup and skillet was just potato, 4 (!) beans, 2 little balls of sausage, a few pieces of bell pepper, and lots of oil. When we asked our server if we can get a bit more meat in our skillet, she went to talk to the other servers and a chef, pointed at us with her finger (which was very rude), and came back to us. She said, that it is supposed to be this way and she is not gonna do anything with that. So, basically, we paid $15 for oily potato. Very rude and disappointed.

We adore this restaurant and eat here frequently. Today we waited over 15 minutes after being seated and were not served or even acknowledged by a server. We weren't even offered water or coffee. We actually walked out after waiting and no one acknowledged us as we left either Extremely disappointed and I don't know that I will return. Came here with my family after we waited in line at hello toast for a few minutes. My daughter is celiac and one of the chef's in the back is celiac so he was able to make her a gluten free french toast with celiac precautions (separate cooking area/utensils). The alpine sourdough was amazing. I will be back! (Actually coming back Sunday to pick up 2 loaves of the gluten free bread) and I don't think I will go back to hello toast again!!!! . Thanks!

A home cooked meal type of restaurant. Been there for lunch and breakfast on two separate occasions. The portions are big. The food is tasty and service is friendly. However if you go during the lunch hour, service can be a bit slow. This should not deter you from going there. A nice change from chain restaurants.

Totally unwilling to accommodate children, on a Sunday morning the restaurant was one third occupied with three waitresses, So, well staffed, no kids menu, okay, fair, suggestion was a side order of one pancake? So I looked at the menu, a two of everything option, perfect! Two kids, two eggs, two pancakes, two bacon... totally unwilling to separate, I just wanted it on 2 plates, but No, I can have an extra bare plate and separate it myself... I understand if you're busy, I'm reasonable, but the can't do attitude of the waitress was horrible. Fine dinning establishments with uncompromising quality have been more accommodating... 3 stars because to be fair, I cannot speak to the quality of the Good, I paid for my coffee and went elsewhere.

My boyfriend and I had brunch at Passeks today and although the food was good and our server was prompt and friendly, our visit had a sour ending due to the owner coming up to us quite rudely and aggressively telling us that we needed to put on our masks when we come up to pay. He may have felt the need to address us due to my boyfriend going to the washroom mid meal without a mask. We were the closest table to the bathroom and there was no body to be passed or interacted with in-between the bathroom and our table. Although we understand this action goes against regulations, we feel it would have been appropriate to address that situation with us at the time. We had only just stood up and were standing at our table when he came up quite close behind me and spoke to me with an attitude that made both of us feel quite confronted and uncomfortable. I was currently in the process of putting on my mask and felt it was quite an unnecessary level of aggression that could have been communicated in a much more polite and patient way. I understand that he and the rest of the restaurant staff are trying to comply with laws and regulations but as a customer I do expect to be treated respectfully during a visit to an establishment which we frequent regularly.

Mon Apr 19, 2021, I came in very close to closing time and FOH staff were all welcoming and pleasant. Ordered breakfast and lunch to go and had a very short wait. Upon arriving home and opening up my take out boxes I was very pleased with the portion sizes, as well the appearance. Despite the cardboard box, the Kitchen staff nailed it. In summary: the food tasted good, cooked with care, looked great, and the service is wonderful. A refreshing experience.

Our family loves to visit Passeks! We are ensured a yummy home cooked meal every time! Some of our menu favourites are the Pancakes, Eggs Benny and my husband really likes the Brotchen. If you like iced coffee get it with the vanilla cream. We took our whole family when they came up for a visit and everyone raved about the food.

Bad bad service, food might be ok but be prepared to get some attitude from the cook. Maybe we caught him on a bad day, but that was totally not cool. Don't need to go to a place where the business owners feel that they don't need your business and feels like they have a right to talk down to a paying customer. Such a shame

I use reviews a lot to determine where to go. Been to Passaks twice this week and the people complaining were either in on a really off day or just just a bunch of negative nancys. This place is delightful! The split pea and ham soup is amazing and the $9 lunch menu can't be beat. Lovely polite servers and I can barely hear the kitchen staff even in a quiet time. Keep doing what you're doing Passaks, you're killing it!

I had high hopes for this restaurant but unfortunately they were not met. It claims to be german, the decor hints at that. But there is not a single german item on the menu. The food was okay, I had the breakfast sandwich which was a huge soggy bun with regular sized sausage and egg on it, the accompanying potatoes were greasy and inconsistent but okay in flavour. My husband had the brisket eggs Benny, egg was good, brisket was tough and chewy. The latte I had was not very good either. It was not hand made and had way too much milk in it, even for a latte. My husband's cappuccino had the exact same colour as my latte, not very good. The service was decent. I had no chance to check out their bakery section, but the cakes looked good from a distance.

Passeks Classics German only Dinner menu is great! I had the Schnitzel Reuben and loved it! I also highly recommend the Seafood Schnitzel, as well. Definitely check out their Wednesday to Friday dinner menu when you have a chance. Good stuff.

I had an omelette with the chorizo, the sausage was so good. I also had spinach and brie. I liked that there wasn't too much. The fried potatoes were awesome. I like them on the crispy side and they were. So good. It was a great breakfast.

UPDATE July 2021: Harry and gang have a new location on Victoria between Casa Azul & Pizza Pi, near the old downtown BP's that no longer exists. They've got an even bigger space, outside patio, and a new "grab and go" counter if you're in a hurry. They've got alot of menu choices, and whether I'm in on the weekend for breakfast or it's weekday lunches, staff is always pleasant and food arrives in a timely manner. ===== Old 2019/2020 Review ===== I love the food here. I don't know if it classifies as "family-run", but staff all seem to be enjoying themselves here. Prices are good, service is great, dishes are clean, and they have daily specials that actually change. Only negative I could possibly say is parking (not their fault), and it sure doesn't seem to stop them from being busy.

An unassuming place in downtown Kamloops and well worth a stop. Firstly the service is friendly and attentive with free flowing coffee. Secondly, the breakfasts are large in portion size and delicious!! We enjoyed the 111 (1 egg, 1 bacon or sausage, 1 toast) and there is a 222 available (fab idea). We also enjoyed the Passek's pulled pork and the Passek's ranchero with chorizo. We haven't tried the dinner menu yet and it sounds delicious. We love the fact that they smoke their own meats and cheese and bake the brown and white breads daily.

We came here for breakfast looking for something a little nicer than an average diner. I was looking for something healthy since I had been eating pretty badly for a while on our long road trip. I found their menu very lacking in healthy food, I ended up going for the vegetarian breakfast skillet, which disappointingly barely came with vegetables and was mostly potatoes. I would recommend offering a couple healthier options as the menu is quite extensive.

IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN HERE, YOU NEED TO GO THERE! BEST EGGS BENNY IN TOWN! I go to this place all the time, there are many breakfast restaurants in Kamloops that are great - Namely Amsterdam, Harold's, Hello Toast, etc. I can earnestly say that Passek's Classics is the BEST in town of all of them. High quality service, and delicious food to dine in and eat, plus they are a bakery so you can take out! The owners are local to Kamloops, and are extremely polite and service/experience oriented. It really shows and they have earned my business wholeheartedly every step of the way. Pretty much anything on the menu is amazing. If you have a sweet tooth, DEFINITELY check out their desserts! Tried for the first time last week. Food was great and prices are very reasonable! The food is quite simple but very delicious. The hollandaise sauce is amazing and they poach their eggs perfectly. The service was quite poor, we had to ask serveral times for a glass of water before I got up and asked one of the other servers.

Great tasting food but chef cannot get poached eggs right. My medium soft eggs last Sunday were so soft they were barely cooked. This Sunday they were so hard I just took them off and ate without. Service is awful. Even when trying to flag down a waitress in a tiny restaurant she just ignores you and moves menus or something to look busy. Can't get a refill on my coffee to save my life. Waitresses are rude and stand around talking. Why is the only person actually waiting on tables in the older dark hair lady?! Most awful service I have ever received. Have to stomach down my food because waitress wont help me. Should have gotten up and walked out. What a shame when the food could be so good when they cook it right?! Will be back if management makes some serious changes. Have heard similar stuff from others who have gone. HIRE BETTER WAITRESSES!! The older lady with blonde hair is rude as can be and ignores everyone!
