The cutlets here are good. We got the curry cutlet and the sauce was nice. Unfortunately the ramyum tastes just like instant noodle, and if you get the one without a cutlet, it has no meat...so it’s literally like a packet of instant noodle. They soak the cutlets into the noodle soup so the beautiful crunch is lost within minutes. The service here was really slow. Despite the restaurant only being half full, we didn’t get our food for 30ish min. Not to mention the amount of time it took to have our order taken....We got our drinks slow, order taken slow, got utensils slow, it was like the waiters were avoiding coming to our table. Pros are the decor is nice, prices are cheap, cutlets are good, and the open kitchen format leads to a mouth water in aroma throughout the dining room. This place has a lot of potential! They just need to make some improvements to the service and noodles.

Was looking forward to visit this place , one it is highly rated on yelp and second people recommended it ! Landed up @ 630 pm for dinner , place was jam packed but may be due to less tables, 6/7 tables in total . After 2 minutes was given a small table for 2 . Menus were presented and the server was nice to explain the specials . I was also watching what most tables were served , so after scrutinizing the menu n server suggestion I zeroed on Pork cutlet combo which is served with a noodles soup , a big crispy pork cutlet , salad and cheese don roll with 2 house dipping sauces . The cutlet tasted excellent so did the vegie odon noodle soup. The only irritant in the good was stainless steel chop sticks , slippery in fingers and had difficulty grabbing stuff , I am used to the wooden one and I believe they are more hygienic .Steel Chop sticks is a NO NO. With a lively feast I still lacked the feeling of Soul Food so would rate it 4 until I try again n elaborate more .

Loved how hot everything was.. sizzling platters of chicken teriyaki and Bibimbap, freshly friend tofu and goyza and hot chicken cutlet and udon soup. Everyone in our family left stuffed. I highly recommend coming here, and if you're looking for a meal to warm you up I highly recommend the Bibimbap it warms your belly up! I also appreciated the relaxing music and the welcoming atmosphere a wonderful place grab a good meal and sit.

One of my go to places in Kamloops! The aesthetic of the place itself is cool, with a bar and an open, well-lit area. Staff are so friendly and efficient, and the food is always fresh and delicious. As someone who doesn't eat meat I never feel like I'm without options when I come here (I eat seafood). This place is a gem in Kamloops and you won't find somewhere else like it nearby.

Wonderful restaurant with home made sauces. Try the king sized cutlet if you have the room. There are also other traditional Korean dishes to choose from on the menu. The restaurant does get busy so book ahead or arrive early.

So far, this is one of my favorite restaurant's in Kamloops. It has good food, good workers, good atmosphere, and above all it is located inside one of the coolest buildings in Kamloops's downtown. You can tell this building has seen a lot of years, and was built properly to do so. The art is in the architecture.

Haven't been to Kamloops for quite some time but happy to find this little, clean and warm place. Cutlet is exceptionally good, not oily at all. Meat is juicy and cooked just right. The 3 different sauces with self-grinded sesame add a pleasant aroma and flavor. Bento box was lunch special, great price yet filling and satisfying. Highly recommend this place.

This place is AMAZING. Have gone a few times now, always trying something new every time and all have been excellent. The Chicken Cutlet Ramyun a must have. The noodles are always done to perfection and the the cutlets have a beautiful crunchy exterior while the meat on the inside is tender and juicy. Croquettes are top on my list as well. Would highly recommend this place! Also the staff are extremely friendly and polite!

Really yummy chicken cutlet don for $12.50. It was a great portion size. They seem really busy with Skip the Dishes orders so if you are in a hurry at dinner time be aware. They accept credit cards and have a dine in option as of the end of June 2020.

Really cute place. Great service. Loved the building. I got the cutlet and noodle Combo and it was good. I loved the fact that I got to crush the toasted sesame seeds before putting it on the sauces for my cutlet. Only thing I didn't like so much was that the broth to the veggie udon noodles was quite flavourless. Cute place, average food prices to Vancouver, would definitely go back again and try more menu items. :)

Their cutlets are to die for. I had their korean dishes (Bibimbap, and spicy pork), it just seemed too bland and lacked seasoning. The spicy pork just tasted spicy and nothing else.

I loved it so much!!! I was on road trip and just stopped here for dinner. But they were super kind and food were all so good. I rarely give five stars but they deserve it and more. The portion was very satisfying unlike most of Japanese restaurant portion size. Rolls weren't like those half cucumber filled with too much rice situation. It was like "did you really put this much goodness in the roll just for me???" Situation. And the cutlet was on point. Honestly I missed Korean style cutlet place sooooo much and they just hit the right spot up and down. Three different dipping sauses like....man..i am in tears. I wish I live in their town so I can go there everyday. If you are a traveler or just passing by, this place is well worth of your time.

Food was nice, but the experience was a little weird. The new trainee made a mistake with the price (I don't her actual fault) and was reprimanded in the dining area loudly where we could all hear. Then when the manager came to explain and tell us, she Condecended the poor girl while she was standing with her at our Table. We felt quite bad for her and think this could have been dealt with in private, and not in a way that shamed the waitress. We felt a little uncomfortable eating there after this.

Today was my first time trying Jacob's Noodle. The girls at the Kamloops Chamber introduced me to it. They wanted the perfect setting for Deb's retirement lunch. What a lively little restaurant. Seafood Yakisoba was $15... very bland, barely any seafood & what was in it was like rubber (4 shrimp and 3 teeny scallops, one small piece of fake crab). 2 bites of broccoli and some cabbage, onion and sprouts. Totally not worth the money, if I wasn't so hungry, I probably wouldn't have eaten it.

One of my favourite restaurants ever! We are so lucky to have such a good asian cutlet/noodle shop in our town. The sauces they serve with the cutket are to die for. I like the largest order of the classic cutlet (King cutlet), with double sauce because the sauce is amazing (carrot, ginger, sesame, apple?, etc). The cheese lovers cutlet is another I do often as it is like pork culet meets mozza sticks, absolutely amazing and of course very indulgent. Jacob's is a superb restaraunts and I highly suggest visiting them. Get a cutlet, it sounds plain and boring but trust me, it is wonderful.

Finally decided to try Jacob’s. Delicious teriyaki! We tried the chicken and the pork cutlet - both were great. Super friendly service and great prices too! Cozy and relaxed but modern atmosphere. My favourite dish so far is the medium spicy chicken cutlet ramyun. Wonderful flavour (not spicy wasn't as tasty) although I'll ask for it to be milder next time. The cutlet is so tasty! My kid lovvvvvved his cutlet. It was so fun grinding up the sesame seeds for it (although I do wish that was included in the cutlet ramyun too!). My partner's absolute fave Korean dish has always been spicy pork on rice, and theirs is a favourite so far. It's too bad it's downtown so we have to pay for parking, but really, this was a fantastic find and we'll be returning whenever we make the drive out to Kamloops.

We are visiting from San Francisco Bay Area, where we are spoiled for authentic and delicious Korean and Japanese food. This place is a total gem! We stumbled across this place on our way to Banff. We ordered a LOT but ate all of it because it was so tasty but still light/ healthier like home style. Croquettes and takoyaki were crispy with perfect texture inside and out. My husband and daughter ordered ramyum, gyoza, and udon, which they both enjoyed. There were many vegetarian options for me which I really appreciated! I got vegetable teriyaki and the sauce was very light and had complex flavors (not heavy and salty and one-note)— the veggies were chopped small and evenly (attention to detail makes a difference) and even the rice was fragrant and delicious ???? The servers were very nice and hardworking! The restaurant is a cool casual space. I liked everything about our experience here ☺️

My partner and I had heard a few good things about this place and decided to give it a try. When we arrived, workers did not acknowledge us or come over to seat us. We ended up flagging a worker over and asked if we could sit at the bar after about a 15 minute wait. I ordered the seafood nabe udon and my girlfriend ordered the pork cutlet ramen. The food took about 45 minutes to arrive after we ordered. Although my partner's choice was very delicious, my udon was a problem. Strangely, hers arrived 10 minutes before my order did. We could see from the discussion between the server and the kitchen that there had been an issue with my udon. Once it arrived, it was not as warm as expected. Within a couple hours of leaving the establishment, I came down with the worst instance of food poisoning and longest nights I've ever experienced. Being that the kitchen was so busy, you can see how poor food handling and preparation could be an issue. Especially with seafood. I would not recommend anybody order seafood from Jacob's Noodle & Cutlet.

I have lived in Richmond B.C for most of my life and have eaten lots of Japanese and Korean food. I moved to Edmonton just under a year ago and had’t had asian food in a while as it’s expensive there. I was driving home and stopped in Kamloops and just drove by the restaurant, didn’t honestly know what to expect. I ordered the dynamite roll and pork cutlet. This was outlandishly good, instantly reminded me of home. The dynamite roll was extremely fresh and the cutlet was very tender and had the right amount of crisp. The sesame seeds that needed to be crush with the addition of the house made sauce just put this at 6 stars for me. This place is the Jedi of of cutlet with a few fresh Japanese and Korean options. Will recommend to anyone living or passing through Kamloops

Perhaps my favourite restaurant in Kamloops! House-made sauces and DIY crushed sesame with a pestle and mortar. Normal cutlet meals come with two cutlets and the jumbo one comes with THREE!! just a warning haha I was not ready to down 3 cutlets. The pork cutlet was amazing though, the deep fry is perfect and the breading and meat are not greasy and covered in oil. Bibimbap is also up to standard!

Fantastic dinner! I had the fried pork Udon and I asked them to make it hot. They did just that. I was sweating but it was so good. My buddy had a pork ramen and he said it was very good as well. Sure wish we had something this good back in Michigan. This is now a must have when we are back in Kamloops. Friendly staff, good service and great good and very reasonable prices.

I'll be honest, I didn't think you could make a breaded piece of pork that tasty, but they did. I had the pork cutlet udon, it was flavorful with lots of veg and a huge cutlet. My partner had the spicy cheese ramyun, and like it well enough, but she absolutely loved the gyoza that was an add-on side dish. I'd certainly go back.
