Amazing food, fantastic service, lunch prices are very good for the amount of food u can get and you can go up as many times as you want all u can eat for under $15.00! you can create your own meal and flavour, plus the staff is absolutely amazing, good hospitality 5 stars. One thing to keep in mind your charged to take left overs home and if you throw it out, but being able to go up as many times as u want. Very good for not over filling your plate.

Loved the service and the chefs cooking ability . Good thing is that if you waste food here u need to pay a fine of $5 , so folks are cautious while taking second n third helping from the buffet .

Awesome food. Veggies were fairly fresh. My only complaint is that we wanted to use a coupon from "TheGreatLittleCouponBook" and the buy one get one didn't apply despite the details of the coupon....but they did give 25% off so it wasn't a total upset.

Always tasty and delicious. All you can eat buffet with lots of options. My only recommendation would be that it would be great to be able to add omelette or egg to the stir fry as another option for Ovo-Vegetarians.

Been here a few times and it never disappoints. You make your noodles however you like them buffet style and then they fry it all up on a huge griddle. Make sure you use lots of the sauces at the end because if it's too dry when they fry it up they just add water which has no flavour so make sure to add lots of the flavours you like. They do have a board up that gives you ideas for combining some of the different sauces. You can always go back for seconds or thirds or however many times it takes to fill up! Try out different sauce combinations or mixes of veggies and meats till you find the ones you love!

They have all you can eat buffet with a bunch of different veggies ???? , meats ???? , seafood ????, sauces and variety of noodles and rice. You can mix and match the combinations in a bowl ???? and hand it to the chef for preparation. Pretty interesting and playful when u go with a bunch of friends! Taste depends on the combinations that you choose. So, all the best! ????

This place is great. You grab all your favourite Fresh vegetables, meat, and other stir-fry ingredients and place into a bowl. You then make your own sauce using a different variety of condiments (fish oil, hot oil, vinegar, ginger, garlic, salt, sugar, mongolian sauce, oyster sauce, etc) by poring a ladel full into your bowl. They have save combo suggestions but I suggest going buck wild. Take your bowl up to the chef who has a large round flat grill. The chef em up with some cool bowl tricks as you stand there. Then voila a delicious stir-fry us serves where you can too it in teriyaki sauce (I suggest the hot one) and/or sesame seeds or peanuts. Bomb diggity!!!

You get to have exactly what you want to eat in a stir-fry by choosing your food from a raw smorgaboard. Then it's cooked up in front of your eyes! So it's exactly how you like it! All you can eat as well. And the atmosphere is wonderful. ????

I just ordered take out which consisted of c.y.o hoja (stir-fry) crispy pork shoulder and pot stickers... the stir fry wasn’t terrible but the chicken and veggies are in extremely small portions and it was %90 chow mien... pork shoulder bites are covered in oil, soggy and consisted of two pieces of edible meat the rest is gristle and fat...for $10 that’s quite the let down pot stickers were meh...

The wide selection of choice at this build your own stir fry location makes it one of my favourite places to bring out of town guests. Since there's often no wait for a table and you can go up for food as soon as you arrive, it's great for those who are hungry and want food right away. As promised: a review. Going for a bit of a redemption story here. I'll begin with yesterday. My fiancee and I decided to order takeout for lunch. Now, to begin, my fiancee is autistic and hard of hearing. The stress of being outside along with the changes in the restaurant left them very overwhelmed by the situation. When we were ordering our meals, they were using sign language, I was trying to translate and pay attention to my order and theirs all at once. All in all we felt rushed and the situation became very stressful for my fiancee. In all of this, I failed to notice my takeout order was only half full. After some back and forth on social media, the restaurant took accountability for their part of the miscommunication and offered me a free takeout order in recompense. I returned tonight and found the staff to be much more receptive and apologetic for the experience we had. They took their time and we were able to proceed in a very orderly fashion. As a whole, the restaurant has regained my respect and appreciation. A big thank you goes out to the Hoja team for being accountable and as always providing excellent food at a good price. (As an added bonus they also have a good range of gluten free options!)

This place is nice. It's basically all you can eat, with you selecting your choice of the ingredients that are there (meat, sauce, vegetables, etc) and then giving it to the chef, who'll stir fry it and give it to you. Another good thing is that in order to reduce wastage, they'll charge you $5 if you've wasted significant amount of food.

I love this place! I eat here as often as I can, unfortunately I live out of the province, so it's not as often as I'd like. The food is amazing here, and I make sure that I come here every time I come visit. I have never had an issue with the food, and had it made by several different chef's over the years, and all of them have done an amazing job. The last time I went I did have to wait a short minute or two to be seated but this only happened once. Usually they are very good. I tell everyone I know around here to try it, and have already gotten a few people hooked for good now. The price really isn't that expensive especially considering how great the food is, and compared to the ones that you pay by weight, it's a LOT cheaper. I highly recommend this place anyone thinking about going.

We have ordered from Hoja countless times. But yesterday we ordered chorizo stir fry and trust me it was extremely sour that we can’t even eat it. Totally disappointed. This place used to be so good for stir fry. I believe it’s one time mistake and they will improve that in coming days.

Found the sauces were quite diluted which was disappointing, but additional sauces are available to add post-cooking so you could still get some flavour. Clearly noted allergen info. This is one of my favorite Mongolian restaurants! The staff are extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and polite. I've never had to wait in line to get in, and I get a table right away. They have a great selection of food to choose from, but they need to step it up on their sauce selection. And maybe show a sauce recipe chart so people get their portions right. Overall I will be an ongoing customer of this establishment. They also have a points card which will earn you great rewards.

I'll start with the good. Staff were friendly, selection of meat and veggies were good as well. The selection of sauces were terrible, salt, sugar should not be a sauce flavor. Canned pineapple not a great choice. Basically I was disappointed after I saw the selection of sauces and felt obligated to eat there after I have already packed my bowl. Honestly I just didn't really get the way things worked... Having to go to a buffet line filled with ingredients noodles, veggies, and some meat then at the end handing it to a cook... I attempted to build 2 dishes & neither worked out very well which is probably more a ME thing than the restaurant though. If I were to make a suggestion it would be to have a sign at beginning of line with ideas of what to add into dish to create a good meal, for people like me who know they like different chow mien dishes but haven't the slightest idea what's in them to make them taste good.

All you can eat buffet Lunch is a great price. It can often be busy at lunch time. Lots of fresh veggies and noodle options. The meat is frozen and sliced quite thin but cooks up quick. Many different sauce flavours so it can be a different taste everytime you go up. Really enjoyed it.

I've had Mongolian grill at many places over the years and this one for sure is THE worst! Typically part of the fun with Mongolian grill joints is to figure out how to fill your bowl as efficiently as possible. Unbeknownst me I assumed this place is legit so I did the same and was able to fill about an extra half a bowl in! The only thing that the waiter said at first was that you fill two bowls and that's it. When I brought the bowls to the front, well, bait and switch! They insisted on charging me for FOUR bowls because anything extra is a new order. I would have simply walked out but I was in a rush. Long story short, terrible place and terrible customer service!!! I do not even want to get into how the waiter punched in 20% tip for himself on my friend's order.

went here for the first time with my family and absolutely loved it . getting to pick what you want BBQ from noddles to meat and veggies add your own seasonings before and after its cooked i would recommend it to anyone who loves to explore new food's

It is not what it used to be before quarantine. Doesn't have a taste and texture of freshly cooked food. Feels and tastes like precooked and warmed up food. Vegetables are mushy, chow mein soft as if it was boiled, meat doesn't tastes as fried. Overall, very disappointing.

My family and I have been coming to Hoja Mongolian grill since they opened in Kamloops. This has always been one of our favorite places to go. The serving staff is always polite and the guys at the grill are amazingly funny. They are friendly and will chat with customers while they wait if they have a chance to. What's really fun is watching them make your food. It's an experience for first time people, but it doesn't get less enjoyable as time goes by. The best part of the whole thing is that it's all you can eat and there is something for every diet type. You want high protein, do it. You want vegetarian, go for it. You want gluten free, they got you. Hell even the keto nuts can have a heyday. It's great for families too!! Our 2 year old loves it and eats because she gets to pick her food. Which is awesome for her and for us especially if she's being fussy she can just have one thing. The prices are pretty good given that it's an all you can eat buffet. And they have take out as well. Which is awesome if you don't finish your plate you can take it home for a fee. Which most all you can eat places don't do. All in all my favourite place to go eat. Maybe it can be yours too.

Delicious food with simple, nutritious ingredients that you put together yourself! You get to watch them make it right in front of you. They even have a sign indicating which things are allergy-friendly! I have IBS and many food sensitivities and this is one of the only places in town I can go out to eat comfortably. I would highly recommend it for those with food sensitivities or specific diets, especially since they have a wide variety of options.

The restaurant is very clean and staff very attentive. And the best of all you choose what you want on your plate for food - just cant go wrong. However I found not to follow the chart for the spicing at least double to triple the amount of spicing as it will be very bland if you dont. Also you have a choice of rice or soup to go along with the meal and I love the option of being able to do take out.

Might be the worst food I've ever had from a restaurant. Unfortunately being a weekend the cook was slammed and way over worked. Which showed on his face as he was clearly frustrated and looked on the verge of snapping. I don't blame him, lines where long and you spent far more time waiting than eating. When you did get your food it was terribly overcooked, dry and freezer burnt. You where required to literally chip off any chicken or beef you wanted from the solid block of clearly freezer burnt meat. 'Crab' was offered but was clearly simulated crab. I've ate in several restaurants of this style. None of them where fantastic, but this was so far below acceptable. 2 stars because I feel so bad for the cook.

Disappointed. Did not live up to expectations and other reviews. For $16+ I got a bowl of mostly noodles with very little chicken and veggies and even sauce. A single mcnugget has more chicken! Maybe they had an off night but I'm not sure I will give them another chance for take out.

Excellent place suitable for any appetite or food preferences - you make your own dish but selecting ingredients you personally like. You are also not limited with the amount of fish or any ingredient you choose. Place is just perfect for group of people or bringing your family. On weekends it tends to get really busy in evenings and you might have to wait before you can come in. But it's worth waiting!

Great buisiness model. Raw ingredients in a buffet and you make your dish, take it to the cook and he does his thing. They have no leftover waste cause nothings cooked ahead of time and friendly staff. It could use a coat of paint and some brightening up but the taste and price are there and thats all that really matters. 21 bucks per person.

It is quite pricey compared to all you can eat Mongolian grills in Vancouver. But the food isn't very fresh. Most of the starches and vegetables are pre cooked and the grill essentially heats it up again. The meat is frozen which is standard. And there isn't a great selection of sauces. They don't have any of the tradition Mongolian sauces.

The atmosphere was pleasant, it looks like it could handle a lot of people at once, but when I went through it was fairly empty. Despite that the way the seating was arranged I don't think you would ever be too close to other diners.

Food was exceptional. My girlfriend and I were able to try this out for the first time today, and the chef did an excellent job. Food was magnificent and it only took 2 minutes to prepare. There were a number of types of sauces to garnish the dish with, and peanuts as well as crispy onions were options too. Great establishment.

o stars. not checking covid vaccination passport, used to have staff fill bowls and now customers are allowed to touch tongs/spoons themselves...gross. also 2 men were at buffet without mask..when asked server was aware of customers not wearing masks....in addition all people huddled around together waiting for their food

I was pleasantly surprised that we found a Mongolian restaurant downtown Kamloops. The food is pretty good, but compared to other Mongolian food I've eaten I would give it a 7/10. The ambiance is lacking, but maybe because of Covid protocols.

Nice Mongolian place in downtown. They don't charge by weight which is good but they do charge $5 if you leave a decent amount of food on your plate after. It's buffet had a good selection of veggies. The beef was a bit dry though even after adding lots of sauce. Staff were nice and attentive. Food didn't take long to cook and you can see them cook it right in front of you. Will go back next time I'm in town

Mongolian has been a favourite and my visit to Kamloops brought me to this place for a buffet lunch . 14.99 for weekdays buffet and the concepts plays the same way as most Mongolian do , starting from picking an empty bowl and filling ur bowls with noddles veggies proteins and sauces for the thrill to grill by the grill Chef of Hoja. Good thing is that if you waste food here u need to pay a fine of $5 , so folks are cautious while taking second n third helping from the buffet . We asked the grill chef to add spicy teriyaki sauce to the mix while grilling , a minute grill makes the food quite appetizing ! The only disappointment I had was choice of protein is limited to beef/pork/chicken , no option for seafood ,one point lost by the place due to not much variety in proteins !! May be they will work on this in future !! Also tag ur food images on Facebook and get 5% discount . Visit was delightful!!!

This is such a great place if you are vegetarian, eating low carb, meat and noodles or simple gluten free. Not for serious gluten issues as there would be some mix. Smorgasbord and all you can eat so if you take mushrooms and spinach and it cooks down to nothing, go get more.
