OMG...the best greek food I've had ever! Prices are on the higher end but the portions are HUGE (had enough take home for lunch the next day for both of us) The restaurant itself is cozy with 2 levels and a big front window. The serving staff are the perfect attentiveness. Definitely visiting again...and again...and again ????

I recently went to Dorians for dinner, and I have to be honest a lot has changed. I tried the Calamari. I have to be honest, it wasn't like it used to be. The Calamari tasted like it was breaded from frozen and didn't have the crispness it usually did. I also ordered the slow roasted lamb. I am not going to lie, I had my heart set on the lamb chops, but change is good. Sadly, this time I am still uncertain about the slow roasted lamb. The lamb was cooked fine, but it was way over seasoned, so I was slightly unprepared for the difference in taste. The rice tasted like it was microwaved rather then prepared fresh. The service was decent, My issue was the food. I used to eat there more often but the raise of prices and lower standard of food prep is one reason I won't go as often as I used to. :(

Affordable fine dining at its best and the waitress who served us was not only kind, quick on her feet, patient, but after my mother spilled her take home Greek salad, not only did this waitress make my mom feel great by replacing the salad with a fresh new whole Greek salad she did so at no cost to my mom ???????????? this place gets a 10 out of 10 from me

We went on a Wednesday during Covid restrictions. Staff gave us a warm welcome and sat us far from the other guests. The food was incredible. Greek salad and kabobs, as well as mushroom chicken with roasted lemon potatoes.

Like most Greek restaurant the plate prices are higher than average dinner. The portions are large/oversized so you could share or take some home. We have eaten Dorian food at least 5+ times and it is consistently good. I think the restaurant decoration is good but not amazing and I would rather see lower plate price and not have left overs- improving those 2 things would make it a 5 for me.

My wife and I have never had a bad meal here. The plates may seem a little pricey, but it's because the serving sizes are enormous! We normally pick out a plate to share, but on the occasions we don't, we have plenty of leftovers to take home. Great Greek food.

I'm from Alberta and I was driving to Vancouver I was hungry but I did not want fast food I searched up restaurants saw a Greek restaurant decided to check it out The service was wonderful the dishes were large the prices were good and the food was really really nice every every portion was large and the food tasted like it was homemade

The plates at Dorian's are large and very filling. The roast lamb was tender and succulent, with hearty sides of pita, tzatziki sauce, flavoured rice, lemon potatoes, and Greek salad with ample feta cheese. The chicken souvlaki skewers also definitely recommendable. Pleasant staff and Saturday late afternoon it's pretty quiet with quick service.

I went in to have lunch. I stood at the toll area for about 4-5 minutes without any ackknowledgement. A customer should be greeted within 15-30 seconds upon arrival. Don't take my word for it that is the standard and can be searched on google. Anyway there was a woman that was in the kitchen area that was ringing something in, and I can't say for sure but it appeared that she saw me and nothing. I am not a fussy person and quite easily pleased, I also tip 25. - 30 % as I was a bartender for many years, however not being acknowledged is rude. I don't care how good you think your food is, no food is worth standing and waiting for someone to say something for 4-5 minutes. 4-5 minutes when your in it seems like an eternity. To me that is arrogance and I will never go back. This is my opinion only but it irked me greatly!

We ordered at 7:30 on a Saturday night. Staff was very friendly on the phone and said the food would be ready by 8p. We decided to drive down for pick up and show our friend from Calgary a bit of Kamloops. We got there and the staff were super friendly. We got our food and went home. So much food. I think we have food for 4 people for 3 days. Incredible value. The food is delicious and the portions are almost too big. I needed two helpings just to try everything. We have so much left over. We ordered the Family Pack & a Chicken Souvlaki. Super tasty, authentic Greek food and the best value in town in my opinion. It can easily feed 8 people for less than $15ea. Show me a place that can do that.

The food was amazing!! Big helpings, authentic greek. The service was good. We were seated in the front part of the restaurant. The environment seemed a bit disconnected and cold, the waitress was in main part of the restaurant helping take out clients. Overall a great place from what i seen.

The drinks kept coming ( never once was I without my water being filled) we had ONE waiter who didn't miss a beat he was accurate on point did not seem overwhelmed. *Spoiler alert.... Still eating my BBQ ribs and spaghetti as I am writing this. Our first time here. Very impressed. Ribs were better than Ribfest which we attended a couple weeks ago. Portions are huge. Highly recommend anyone wanting to take the family out for a great dinner. Comfortable atmosphere, and the service from our waiter, Brad, was amazing. Way to go! We will be coming back for sure!!! Would rate 6 stars if I could!

It’s such a huge restaurant inside the tiny door in the heart of downtown. The place has 2 level seating area next to some amazing plants. The food was authentic and quantity was great. A bit pricey, but perfect for date night!

Went for a wedding reception dinner. Food was very good and the staff was accommodating to my wife's dietary restriction (gluten intolerance). The portions were generous and food was very good. The only criticism I could have was that the service was slow but I can not cast any blame since they were dealing with such a large party of folks. I would strongly recommend for a nice dinner out for a date or with friends.

It seems like food is still similar to old ownership but service and wait times have took a major hit unfortunately. What used to be 20 minute waits when packed are now 40 minute waits when restaurant is slow. Aswell lamb dinner is off special now and is almost $30. My favorite dish but not worth a $7 hike

Upon entering the restaurant (group of 8) we were not acknowledged until about 5 minutes of standing at the door. We then were told that we would be seen shortly, and continued to wait about 10-12 minutes, with nowhere to stand and thus blocking the entrance/exit. When finally seated, one of us attempted to order lamb and they were told by the waiter that he wasn't sure and that he would check the kitchen. Some others at the table also mentioned that they were looking at lamb immediately after and the waiter said "oh I think we're sold out". Thus leaving the first person confused as to whether or not they had lamb. Don't bother lying about if you don't have the dish. But alas, they changed their orders and eventually our food arrived. The food was pretty good, large portions and full of flavour. The garlic toast was burnt, and when we asked for a replacement, another basket of burnt toast came back and the waiter stated "I guess our toaster is just toasting things like that right now" and offered us more pita bread instead. This review heavily reflects the service and not the food (other than the toast).

My wife and I visited here from Edmonton on a recent trip and were VERY pleased with the portion sizes of the meal. We ordered the Greek Platter for $59 which honestly serves 4-6 people. Whilst we couldn't finish the meal it was all well prepared and delicious! A must try!

This is my absolute favourite greek restaurant, the food is incredibly delicious. The building is super cute, and can hold actually quite a few people. The staff and very friendly and patient, also quite attentive and informative. Now don't get me started on the food quantity, the amount of food they give is just generous. For the amount of money you pay, the amount of food is worth every single penny. This is where I go in Kamloops, for special occasions or just for kicks. I 100% recommend to anyone and everyone. In the picture below this dishes include, calamari(the two dishes on the far side of the table), the Greek Treat(bottom right plate which is what I had and it was immaculate I will get it again !!!) , and ribs and prawns.

I don't usually review, but I had to after an amazing dinner here last night. After a really awful travelling experience, we randomly popped into this restaurant, and had such amazing service from the moment we stepped in the door. The food was fresh and delicious, well prepped, and well cooked. The more we ate, we kept mentioning how we all feel like our portions were staying the same; you get a ton of food. We took quite a bit home, and can't wait to dive in! Any time we are passing Kamloops we will be stopping by!

I've ordered take out and delivery from Dorian's Greek House and I've been extremely satisfied with every meal. I've had excellent greek ribs, sirloin steak (10 oz) and lasagna. There is so much food on each plate that I sometimes have 3 meals from one entree. The entrees come with a delicious greek salad and bread. I really love this restaurant and will continue to order from them. The prices are also very reasonable and the quality of the food is amazing.

Great food as usual with big potions. The waitress did a good job as well and despite being very busy, the food was timely. My only complaints were that the tables had not been adjusted so they rocked bath and forth wildly spilling drinks everywhere and the seating area where we were at seemed more like a stop gap solution to not them enough room. You feel like your sitting in a hallway with zero view of anything but a wall and the people using the hallway to get to the bathroom. I'd recommend this place but if you ask for reservations, which I highly suggest, ask for mid or upper tier seating.

Food is always consistently good. The chicken and rice are amazing. The Greek salad has really good flavour and is full of fresh vegetables and lots of feta, but I wish they cut them a bit smaller since it gets a bit messy and there’s no green peppers (just tomato and cucumber). Their takeout dinner and lunch menu have some good options. The lamb is quite nice but not the best I’ve had.

Sooo so good. All the fixings were excellent (tzatziki, pita, rice, potatoes and Greek salad) as were the entrees. My companions had the mousaka which they said was some of the best they’d ever had (and we have had it in Crete, Greece) and I had the kalamari which was tender and I was given a TON. Atmosphere was also very lovely with a veranda and lots of plants. Will definitely not miss this restaurant the next time we are in town.

The food is great and the portion sizes are giant. I took some stars off because of poor service when we arrived. Apparently there’s a train that comes in shortly after five and a big crowd at this place when the train comes in. We came in at 7:15 and they were still dealing with it.

Nothing like it used to be, smaller portions, items being taken off menu that used to be included with the meal etc. Used to be my favorite restaurant but after the last cpl times I've gone I'll be making that my last visit, Faros offers same stuff larger portions, only thing dorians did better then faros was the prawns were bigger and tastier

Not only are the portions enormous, but so are the individual chunks of chicken, tomato, and cucumber, as if the kitchen is staffed by giants. The food won't disappoint if you're hungry, but it's remarkably plain for $20-30 entrees-- this is "Greek" food you would expect from a tent at a festival.

I've usually had a decent experience and good food here. Haven't gone in a while and thought I would do a pick up of some food during social distancing. Ordered in advance, but when I went to pick it up, they said it would just be a couple more minutes. 30 minutes later I got my order (a single meal-not a huge order). I got home and either they have lessened how much meat they are putting in the souvlaki or they sorry changed me. Wish I hadn't pre-tipped...

I paid online with tip and when it arrived I was asked to pay for delivery???? i had to run around looking for $$$ to pay the driver (embarrassing) eaten in store before and it was good but what I got for delivery was subpar at best so between the paying twice subpar food and embarrassment I won't me ordering from there again

Make reservation for downstairs as I stairs are an issue. They put us upstairs. Just plain drinks took 30 minutes to come and the food took 60 minutes to come. Even to get menus too a long time. The restaurant was not busy at all. The food was just OK, bit overpriced, but lots of leftovers. Overall not impressed at all

A beautiful restaurant that has lots of good greek food. I ordered one plate and it had enough food for two people, the Calamari Chicken. I spent $24 for two people eating one dish. If you are not into sharing the cost will be about $20 per person for dinner. Parking is free in front of the restaurant after 6pm.

Second time ordering and have to say it’s the best Greek in Kamloops. They are friendly and deliver further than most take outs. My husband is a big fan of the soulvalki and the ribs and calamari are super delicious. Huge portions to boot !

Ove the past 6 months, we haven't had much good to say about Dorians service. We've even had to walk out without being served. Tonite they were on their last strike. But we are happy to say, our server Megan, knocked it out of the park. The service was fantastic and the food was fabulous. Megan explained they've had some service difficulty, but with their new team, they are back on top. And we can certainly bare witness to this fact. Way to go Dorians! The food was terrible, as it came out cold. Wanted to take my grandfather here for his 75th birthday and have been deeply disappointed. Booked a reservation in an attempt to ensure all would be well. Management tried to makes things right but the food was either undercooked or cold, and the service took a nose dive. Server dumped food on my grandmother's back, whether intended or not she should have said something.

I've been here a few times, and it's been exceptionally delicious each time. Staff has always been friendly. The other day, I made a reservation for 15 at 7PM on a Saturday night. They were extremely accommodating and took us in. The server was very friendly, and did not seem overwhelmed at all with the size of the group. I had the moussaka and calamari combo dish. It wasn't on the menu, but they made it happen (see photo). The entire dish was fantastic. The only bit that I didn't eat were the olives (sorry!). We were all so tired from dragonboat racing all day that most of us packed the majority of our plates home. My teammates were raving about their food afterwards, especially about the fried cheese dish. Thank you, Dorian Greek House! I think my team has put this place on the to-go list the next time they're in town.

Absolutely love this place. I come to Kamloops often for work and keep going back. The portions are extremely generous (an entree could happily feed a couple on a date - 2 could be enough for a family of 4), and the food is very good on top of that. I have been getting the Chicken Souvlaki and Kalamari combo and it doesn't disappoint. Wait staff is very kind and knows the menu well. Highly recommended to anyone whether you're from Kamloops or just visiting.

I ordered moussaka and got a huge dish full of rice and two large baked potatos and some Greek salad with a small portion of moussaka. Moussaka, supposedly the star of the dish, was a little candle hidden. I described the situation to the last in charge and she brought a portion of moussaka, this time right size. I would be happy to see that with safe amount of Greek salad and that would be it. Anyway, thanks for taking the issue in consideration and I suggest to change the dish to little bit larger moussaka with some Greek salad. For food itself, I probably go 4 but for the customer service, I add the extra star.

Must be under new ownership or something because we usually have good service, but tonight was just unacceptable service (Aug. 5, 2019). When asked how many was in our party, the host looked frantic because of the amount of “reservations” they had and wasn’t sure where we could sit. Keep in mind, it was a party of 3. Once seated, he mentioned that our server will be right with us. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy, but it took a decent amount of time to just get water. As we waited for “our server”, 2 different parties were seated after us. These 2 parties, both had servers attended to them much faster than us, both parties got drinks, and ordered their dinner meals. Where this whole time, no one had come and asked us for drinks, or our dinner order. We had been waiting for at least 20-25 minutes. Needless to say, extremely disappointed with the restaurant service. Will not be coming back for a while.

My first time here was nothing short of amazing! Amazing service and huge portions! Got the Greek platter to share between 2 and we went home with quite a lot of leftovers. I would recommend booking a reservation to ensure you get a seat. When we went, we had no idea about that but we still got a seat. For sure will be coming back again and again!

This is my first time here, but definitely not the last! We were put upstairs and not only was it very clean, but very well decorated. It felt like we were transported to Greece! We ordered the calamari and the escargot for appies. The calamari was perfectly cooked, not stringy or chewy like some other restaurants and the tzatziki had an absolutely beautiful punch of garlic. When they say they love garlic they mean it! The escargot was nicely cooked and my friend (who hates escargot) kept stealing forkfulls when they thought we weren't looking. We got the moussaka, spanakapita, and the greek treat. Oy vey! There was so much food!! The salads tasted fresh out of the garden and the dressing on them was simply amazing, the moussaka was so creamy it was criminal, the greek treat chicken was charred to perfection and the mushroom sauce! Omg the mushroom sauce. I just cant describe the sauce. Sooooo good. The spanakapita was simultaneously crispy, smooth and flaky! Dorian Greek House, I will never forget you, and I will dream of you until I return

I got chicken souvlaki to go ($25). Very disappointed. While the staff were extremely nice the food was found lacking and a new low-bar for greek food for me. The chicken was so dry it could be considered jerky. But the portion size was good. The ceasar salad was soggy and the pita was dry. The rice was ok and the potato was the best item of the dinner. If not for the prompt friendly service I would have given 1 star. I will only give this establishment one more try.

My partner and I went for a date night here, and it was probably the best restaurant date we have ever been on. The music is fun, decor is pleasing and environment is inviting. We had Avery as a waitress, she was an absolute delight, very freindly and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. She hit the balance of attentive but not intrusive perfectly. At first we were a bit put off by the prices, but when the food came out we were blown away by portion size. There was enough for supper as well as leftovers for a very filling lunch on the road home the next day! With drinks it was around $80, can't complain about that! We had the Mythos beer and Apollo drinks which were both very good and complemented the platter nicely. The food was amazing, the potatoes are a borderline spiritual experience, you have to go just to try them. The rice is stickyish but fluffy with a mild tomatoe flavour which really complements everything well. The bread was so fluffy and the tzatziki is the best I've ever had. We had the kalamari, prawn, chicken, and ribs, all of which were amazing, I was very impressed with the portions with that, and I can't do it justice with a review. We've never had Greek food before this, but Dorians was an amazing introduction, we will be returning anytime we are in Kamloops as well as recommending it to anyone who will be headed in that direction!

My wife and I ordered the family pack for takeout and we barely made a dent. Portion was EXTREMELY generous, chicken was moist and juicy, shrimp were large and plush, rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned, calamari was fresh and perfectly fried, (seemed like a full appy portion),ribs were ok (just a little dry but everything else made up for this) and the potatoes were roasted perfectly. Quality ingredients and enormous portions..I really wonder how they turn a profit off of this dish? Would definately order again, the family pack is enough food for 4 hungry adults.

Disappointed... Very salty Ribs and Kalamri. Not enough tzatziki comes with the $100 I spent on meals and if you want more you need to pay extra for it. They just said you get what you get. Old cucumber and tomatoes in the Greek salad. Tried to order for mothers day and they would not take the order over the phone they said online only with the so called user friendly menu. There are many people who can't do this and don't have internet. Long story short 5 transactions and 3 phone calls later my order finally went threw. Going elsewhere next time..

I just phoned to place a place a order at 5:15 on Nov 3/18. I was told I could not order for delivery or pick up due to being very busy. I have been dealing with Dorians for years and have never run into this problem. I am so very disappointed with them.

Your prawns, ribs, and calamari can't be beat!! And your rice was one of my biggest cravings when I was pregnant! Seriously can't say enough great things about this place.

We all had the chicken souvflaki and it was absolutely delicious. I made the mistake of not ordering the smaller portion version and I had to ask for a take home container there was so much food. The restaurant is busy most nights so a reservation may be a good idea. Parking downtown in the evenings is free after 6 pm but most spaces are taken on Victoria Ave so you may have to walk a bit from where you park. Not a bad thing as you get to walk off a bit of the fine meal.

It takes forever to get my order and serve food. I had to wait an hour to be seated and served. If you can spend at least over an hour or two hours for your meal, this is a right place. Food is ok but I really don't like their slow service.

Food was good. Delivery fee was ridiculous $10 fee plus I already gave a tip online and then the delivery wanted $10 at the door without it being stated in my checkout online. Pretty shady move considering spending $65 already. Live like 1.5 km from the restaurant. $60 order after tax comes to $75. Ouch probably won’t be ordering delivery again for sure. Otherwise dorians food is good but greasy, overall good food maybe for dine in or pick up.

We could not believe how large this establishment was to begin with, when we were walking by countless times we thought that it was basically just a hole in the wall. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff were absolutely fantastic, the service was impeccable, the prices were a little bit expensive, but the amount of food that they bring you is well worth the dollar amount. We were very very pleased with every aspect of our dining experience here. And now that we know how great it is we will definitely be coming here again and again and again

To be fair the server was a very bright and helpful young man so props to him. That aside there was a bathroom cleanser smell in the whole restaurant. The food was your typical Greek fare but the taste and quality was below average. Rice and potatoes were ok, prawns were nice, ribs were not great and the salad tasted old. Surprised based on how many stars this place had... "Hello Toast" nextdoor looked much better; wish I'd gone there :(

Food is always decent here. Ordered take out for Mother's Day, first they tell us the time slot is full. Then we arrive for the new time slot. Then they tell us it's a 30 minute delay. 30 minutes later they tell us they are out of potatoes, what we we like extra of? Finally, after another 20 minutes we get the order. Hope it's everything. The best part is the COVID excuse...well last year on this day we did $13k. That's what the lady told us as we waited. People just need to understand we are trying to get everything out.

Dorian’s never disappoints. It has always been my go to place for Greek food. Recently visited another Greek Place and realized Dorian’s does it best. The potatoes so flavourable, pita is amazing and the many selections just full of great food. Always have amazing service when we visit and the entire place has beautiful decor.

The food was good, no complaints there. The waitress was very nice. After we were seated some kid came out and practically threw our cutlery onto the table and walked away. We ordered the platter which we had no idea was so big. We had been seated at a table for 2 and there literally was not enough room for the food. The result was that after the first course we were given take out containers and ended up storing them on the floor under our chairs! There were no serving spoons of any kind so we had to scrape the food onto our plates. I guess the good news is that we have enough leftovers for another whole meal! At the end of the day it kinda ended up feeling like eating at a fast food restaurant. I know with this whole COVID thing things have gotten difficult but come on guys..... We’ll probably give it another try.
