We have visited the majority of Lebanese restaurants in Ottawa and the meal that we had here was the best Lebanese we have ever had. The owner of the restaurant treated us like royalty. He brought us enough food to feed 6 people despite the fact that we were two people sharing one plate. The hummus was out of this world. The amount of chicken on our plate was incredible. The food was delicious. The service was amazing. We will be going back to this restaurant again!

Chicken shawarma wrap was amazing! So fresh and flavorful!! I’m not usually a fan or shawarma, but I’m glad I tried this one. The service was excellent as well. Definitely highly recommend this restaurant while in Ottawa.

THE BEST SHAWARMA, period. It’s a next level food. The falafel is made from real chickpeas, not powder mix. You can taste and see the difference. The food is very flavourful but not oily or too heavy: I ate a whole bunch but still feel great. Will come back!

I had to put my chicken shawarma sandwich down to write about how AMAZING it tastes. I usually get the shish taouk plate here which is equally delicious but I tried the shawarma today and it is the best I’ve ever had. When you are here, you will also receive the best service. If you're a Shawarma fan, that's is the right place to have it. Best Shawarma in Ottawa / Gatineau area. It reminds me of the quality of shawarma in the Middle East. The whole menu is great and delicious. Food is always fresh. Welcoming staff and a good customer service. They serve a good Shisha too. Parking spots are available next to the restaurant.

I discovered this hidden gem by my work place and decided to give it a try, and boy was I just blown away. I ordered the donair platter and the rice was well-seasoned and the potatoes just had the right amount of crisp. Usually shawarma joints add that sweet sauce for donair meat but this one added balsamic vinegar to it which I found intriguing. Overall, was very pleased with my lunch time experience and would definitely go back! Oh yeah, and before I forget, they have a secret menu that you need to ask for! What's on it I won't disclose so you have to find out yourself.

I came for lunch during my lunch break and I had a Giant meal served by the owner himself and the manager was very kind as well, she served me a free desert. It's funny how a girl was yelling at him, she wasn't giving him the chance to talk and she refused talking to the manager, so impolite. It was so rude of her, people like that should learn how to respect themselves. This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars. such a kind staff and big portions. Coming back for sure

Excellent service and good quality food. Ottawa is a great place to get shawarma, so I do not say this lightly. We had the special shawarma with extra chicken, and it was worth it. A similar cost to large sizes from other shops with better value.

Great start to my Ottawa/Gatineau trip! I was surprised by the sheer amount of food for the price. Also the taste gets an "APPROVED" mark from me. Would have gone with Tabouleh instead of balsamic Salad, but didn't undermine the quality. Couldn't finish the plate, took leftovers to go. Would recommend

This Ghadeer Salem and I just used my husband account to write the review. My first time there, the owner was so rude, very poor service, lack of customer service skills. Food was so dry and old. The owner was alone serving my entire group. We were a group of ladies, going out for a birthday party, some of us wanted argeeleh and the rest wanted food, he refused to take the orders at once, he was imposing on us to take argeeleh first and then food. We were not allowed to order two sides even though I offered to pay the extra charge, we were not allowed to order drinks with food. It's too much for him to handle. I felt I am in kindergarten. Very low level class place. On top of all that, he was making fun of my friend because she asked to have a tea while we have our meals, very inappropriate. Never again

Honestly this restaurant has the most wonderful food ever! When I eat there I feel like I'm home considering their service is not only friendly, but they treat you like family. The ambiance is incredibly comfortable and they are just the greatest people with the greatest food ever. It's truly a special place for any kind of person. The fact that they also make catering for such a good price makes this place too good to be true. My final comment is simply about how the restaurant is not only a family-friendly place, but can also be a place to have some great fun and party. I definitely recommend this resto people!!!

Great find! Visiting from Chicago and I was out sightseeing. Looking for a lunch spot, I came across this place. Great value: large portions and a reasonable price. I am not sure about everyone else commenting about the friendly staff at this place. It is extremely unfortunate to experience the rudeness of the owner himself. This man has issues. Instead of welcoming his guests , he was pretty rude. Not sure what was on his mind. Food was below normal . Not impressed at all with this restaurant. It’s funny how you manage to turn the table around when u have bad reviews. You seem to have an answer for all. You know what , you seem to be full of your self .. appreciate your clients no matter what to keep a good image .. Little more class would be beneficial.

We were staying at the Four Seasons just down the street and read the great reviews so had to try it. We went back twice later that week! The shawarma was excellent (ask to get it on the authentic pita, not the regular pita), the shawarma salad was MASSIVE and the service, wow. I just hope they are able to keep afloat during this pandemic! If we return to Gatineau in the future, we will make sure to drop in!

Disappointed customer: first and last time. Good and fair priced food, however hidden fees beware, we were charged an extra 15$ per person for DJ (and water) which owner claimed was a 'service charge' for what we thought was included in our 30$ inclusive dinner. My favorite place to eat in the Ottawa/Gatineau area. The food is beyond amazing and the staff is even more amazing especially the owner and the manager. Every time I come and eat here, I feel like I am at home with family. The staff's attention to their customers is the best I have ever experienced. This is not your typical shawarma joint, they have a variety of items on their menu that will make you feel like you are eating authentic middle eastern food. I highly recommend you check it out and I am sure you will become a repeat customer.

Just about perfect. Their meat cuts are sumptuous and grilled to perfection. The Shawarma and the fresh salads are second to none. Generous foods portions. Great wine (and beer) is available in a casual relaxed atmosphere, From the appetizers to the desserts, it was truly a premium experience. Very pleasant service, very moderate price and totally worth it.

I have ordered a platter of grilled chicken, beef pieces and kofta for 4 persons , I did not like the grill at all. The meat should be marinated and easy to chew. Unfortunately, the meat was grilled to much and it is almost burnt. It was not a nice experience. Just to add that the chef was friendly. But I do not recommend the restaurant.

They yelled at me I ended up calling cops!!!! Worst of all restaurants in town!!! first of all they double charged me and took me 2 months to get my money back ( thanks to the cops) let me start off by they don't even have a customer parking. the owner came out saying you can't park in front of the restaurant this is for employees.... that was interesting to me because I put my clients needs before me and my employees! I had called to tell them I am on my way to solve this issue and the man replied saying "don't come I'm too busy it's rush hour. When I got there there was not one soul other than employees in the store. Second I went to resolve an issue of them transferring money and it being cancelled. I walked in and was right away getting an attitude from the owner who was disgustingly rude! They were claiming that they refunded me through my number but I was unaware of this way of transfer. So the owner started demanding me and yelling "SIT! SIt and I will talk to you!" First of all I don't need to sit, I came here to solve this issue that they were careless about, and I just want my money back and goodbye. He refused to speak to me until I sit and kept yelling at me to sit and banging the table even the employees started to come out from the kitchen to look at him. So I immediately called the police on him because he was very loud and obnoxious plus refusing to give my money back and telling me he will do another transfer through his "accountant" so asked him to bring his accountant and he told me he couldn't. That changed very quickly when he saw the police park in front of his store. Right away he called the accountant and she came within minutes. Police demanded the money back and I asked them to send it to my email. Very interesting way to refund customers. Overall I would never trust this place again and the fact that they are ridiculously rude was a cherry on top for me.

Shadi is an experienced chef and makes delicious food! I've had the falafel (my fave in Ottawa), chicken shawarma, fattoush, and hummous. All were awesome!! He also makes a lot of things in house versus buying and putting it together. The resto is large and spacious, good for private functions too. Great ventilation considering that one doesn't notice the smell of shisha. Parking is a challenge in that area.

The owner is incredibly friendly and goes above and beyond. I was in the Ottawa area for work for a week and I stopped by because I had work in Gatineau for the day. After my first experience I went out of my way to come here for dinner. I would definitely be a regular if I resided in the area.

Super friendly staff. They let us in to order after close during a private party because they didn't want my wife to leave dissapointed and shawarmaless. They went above and beyond to accomodate us even going as far as sharing an amazing homemade cocktail while we waited. "Hands down the best shawarma i had here" my picky Turkish wife after eating her first non-dissapointing shawarma in Canada. I would highly recommend people to go and visit this unique Syrian restaurant if you're evel lost in old hull with an empty stomach.

I was just at the restaurant this week and it was an absolute disaster of a service. Firstly we asked for the menu, which was replied with “we don’t have a menu, it’s either online on our website or you can take a look at the menu outside of the restaurant”. What restaurant in 2019 or a so called restaurant can’t print a couple of pieces of paper as the menu to provide to its customers? Secondly, when I asked for tea, I was replied with “ coffee and tea is after the food is done because they’re complimentary”. Since when does a restaurant get to decide when to bring an item when it’s ordered? After this experience I will never be returning to the restaurant again. It felt like I was visiting someone’s house and they were trying to dictate how my night went rather than a restaurant where I was paying for a service.

I cannot trust any other shawarma place after this one! they have such a different taste and a special sauce with a special kind of bread. Something Canadians have never seen before! I would drive on weekends from the west end just to eat here. It is very worth it!

I cannot explain how amazing the food is at this restaurant. I come all the way from Kanata just to eat here their shawarma is insane and their service is excellent. The owner is injured yet he manages to keep a smile on his face and jokes around. Great place

These guys know food! I like how they rub the pita on the chicken and grill it before serving it to you. They also have these home made cured meats that are really nice. Always fresh and always very accomodating and generous with the portions. :)
