When all the other large restaurants are closed or crazy busy in Hope this restaurant is a secret haven. Generous portions of simple tasty food. Good prices and nice family staff. Interestingly they have a small portion set aside as a tea shop with over a hundred varietys of loose tea and tea accessories.

4.5 stars really. First time eating here since the old owners came back after a few years to serve up their Hope-famous Chinese food. Rice, vege chow mein prawns, chop suey, and egg rolls lived up to the legend I had heard about. Glad they are back and haved fixed up the dining room after the last owners made a mess of things.

Get the "More Wanton"! It's delicious!!! BBQ Beef, Shrimp, Celery, Carrot, Green Onion, a delicious broth, cauliflower, broccoli, and delectable wantons! A big portion, too, for a very fair price! Served to me nice and hot, fully cooked in only ten minutes! I'm glad I decided to check out Kan Yon today!!! 5 stars!!!

Sweet and sour sauce was orange ish yellow? Tasted fine though, the spring roll was like curry or something? Not my favorite, but the chow mein was pretty good. They even let me use the dine in menu so it was cheaper than the dinner menu they showed me first. Very friendly

Kind owner gave me a full 5 minutes of his time explaining where I could visit in hope and handing me magazines. I wasn't expecting Hope to have good bbq duck - but it was decent! Enjoyed my meal and will come back.

Ordered dinner for 3, was plenty of food for the 5 of us. The ginger beef had such good ginger flavor. The chop suey reminded me of the good chop suey I had when I was younger. Tasty!!!!!!!!!

The food is alright, and the prices are fair for the large portions you get. Service was good and fast. We got the dinner for 2 and could barely eat half of it so we had lots of leftovers to take home. My only complaint was the dinner for 1 options, im not a big fan of sweet and sour pork at any chinese resturaunt and litterally every option had some kind of variant of it or you can pay 2 bucks to swap something out. But other than that it was a decent place and i would go back again.
