Haven't dined in but when picking up takeout, it's a bit dated inside; large seating area for big parties though. Takeout has always been fresh, portioned well, and dang tasty. For a small town restaurant their food is comparable with popular spots in larger cities. A little cosmetic work would go a long way.

BEST bubble tea!!! A great selection of flavours and the tapioca pearls/flavoured jellies are SO good! The people who work here are very kind! My favourite is the coffee bubble tea with pearls! 10/10 would recommend.

Although this restaurant looked a bit tired, the waiter was very pleasant and attentive. I had the bento box A, the smallest in the menu, and was surprised at the huge serving size. We joked that the owners must be Americans for serving such huge dishes. Was a good meal but the atmosphere is not very appealing.

Pretty sure this is under new ownership now- and I frequented this place at least weekly while I was living in Hope. Super friendly staff, and they put effort into the details to make it authentic. I recommend. Prices are average.

There were no reviews so we were a little apprehensive; however, we were pleasantly surprised! The food was very good, fresh and well made. Service was good, and fast. The only area for improvement is the atmosphere. While the restaurant is clean, and all benches and chairs are well cared for, it is a bit eclectic.

First time and last sadly we were excited to try this place out as we have a usual place we go to but thought hey let giver a try 1: staff were amazing very polite and curious 2: food 2.1 California roll had a off fishy taste 2.2 beef teriyaki roll was loose and just fell apart and beef had very off putting taste we could not finish 2.3 (could be wrong but) Gyoza and prawn tempura tasted like Costco frozen food and tempura sauce was very salty and had and odd flavour 2.3 chicken teriyaki was delish (but no cuts in container breading was mush by time I got home) but veggies and rice WOW very good and rice was fluffy 2.4 their chicken now I’ll be back for the chicken. That was tasty for around town little bland but moist and crunchy as fried chicken should be.

There was a strange smell like a never cleaned greasy fan. Tables were sticky. Taste was ok, but the rice didn't hold its shape well when it was picked up with chopsticks. Overpriced. I wouldn't recommend this place to those who know the taste of sushi.

We're were really happy to find this place. We were in the middle of about 3 weeks of camping and wanted someone else to cook for us. To be honest, the fried chicken sign on the side of building is what really made me interested. We ordered a fried chicken meal with fries and gravy. It was fantastic. Well seasoned, but not crazy salty or overpowering, and they got a good sear on the chicken. Crisp and juicy. Pre-order as they make it fresh. Crisp fries and gravy that tasted like chicken, not just brown flavored. We also ordered some sushi. All of which was nice and fresh, nothing like the complaints of fishy odors of some reviews. We had a mix of sushi rolls, all of which had nice fresh veggies and Crisp seaweed. This place was a nice surprise. Friendly staff and good food. I wouldn't hesitate to go there again.

After frequenting this restaurant for 3 years and enjoying our visits there, I will never eat there again. a little while back they changed ownership or management and the portion sizes went down while the prices went up. Worst of all though, the salmon nigiri I had in our last take out had bones in it.... And not just pin bones bigger ones. No self-respecting sushi chef would ever let food like that get served. this is something that I will not give them a second chance on. I was unable to finish my meal because I could trust the quality of the food. And for the record this is the first negative review I've ever written and the first time I've gone back and changed a positive review. Long story short, I recommend going to one of the other two sushi restaurants in town. Hope sushi's quality control is very bad now a days.

For reference, there are other menus such as bibimbap, but it gives me a return from a trip to Goan! I'll try the miso soup once. (Original) 로키산맥 여행중 방운한곳입니다.근데 패키지에 끼워있지 않으면 절대 안갈 것 같은곳이네요. 된장찌개? 전골? 이랑 4가지 반찬이 나오는데 맛은 나쁘지 않습니다. 다만, 젓가락은 잘 안가는!ㅋ 이름은 스시라 적혀있는데 한식이 나오네요. 그래도 별 2개를 준것은 잔반 재활용 안하고 화장실을 건물안 밖에 여러곳 설치하여 편의 제공한것?! 참고로 다른메뉴는 비빔밥도있는데 고건 여행에서 돌아오는날 준다네요! 일단 된장찌개 올려봅니다.

Note: this is a review in comparison to Japanese restaurants in Vancouver and Kelowna. Sushi rolls: super pricey (with respect to portion) and have a little bit of fishy taste in them. Clearly not fresh. The ginger wasn't strong to the taste either. Bulgogi (which my friend ordered): was surprisingly good! The bulgogi itself gives a reason for me to not give this resto a 1 star. On top of all pricey items: the food was served in a slow manner even though no one else was here and they demand a 15% tax, which is clearly unheard of in BC.

The sushami was the worst iv ever had. The meat was cut sloppy and I have never had sushami with noodles under the sushi it has always been rice for me.The reason why I gave it 2 stars is because my mom and sister had the Bento box Wich included a wide variety of sushi and good deal Wich I tried. I wasn't impressed with the service. They did not come to our table to refill our water or check to see if we needed anything.

I only visit Hope, so when I went to a place that is 3 hours away from the Ocean... I didn't expect good sushi. Pleased to say that I am pleasantly surprised! The miso soup is the best miso soup I have ever had in my entire life! Really flavourful broth, and the chunks of tofu and seaweed are divine! The rolls are delicious as well, and I would definitely make this the only place I'll go for sushi in hope!

I believe this place is now going as "Hope Sushi". Service was a TAD slow but the woman was very nice. Portions are very good (I had the dynamite combo). Lots of sushi and the thing only cost about 9 bucks. Friend had a bento box which was also cheap and it was so much she could barely finish. Great, cheap little stop if you're driving through hope.

Very small portion of Korean fried chicken. $28 for half+half order with two flavours…. But easily same amount as only a $14 single half order at Kim’s or Rib and Chicken in Chilliwack. Chicken was also sliced so thinly that it dried up after being fried. I will not order boneless chicken from here again.

Stopped here while driving to vancouver from penticton. Service was slow and we had to wait to order. They forgot to give us miso soup we ordered. And they gave us the wrong beer that we ordered. Will avoid this restaurant next time I'm in the area

The food is a mixture of very good and not good. For example the Tempura is excellent whereas the large vegetable sushi was virtually tasteless. Service was good. They did give us a discount of 10% because two of the dishes were a bit late.

When I lived near Hope my boyfriend and I would usually go for Sushi about once a week. We love it there. The servers were also very nice and the sushi is actually really good. The ingredients always taste fresh and the rolls are nicely put together. I recommend to people all the time, we were never disappointed in all the times we have been there.

Now called Hope Sushi. Restaurant was clean, had decent lighting, reasonably fast service, and adequate parking. Raw fish was sub par, sushi rice was a bit mushy but in decent portions, and the cooked items were satisfactory but lackluster. Would return again, but will avoid any raw fish items.

Who the F would put fried chicken chunks in a chicken udon?! Others have said it right, small portion, overpriced, below average taste. Bottom line fried chicken and sushi don’t mix together well.

Love stopping by here to buy a few sushi rolls on a road trip back home. Prices are decent and portions are worth the price. It's your typical local big city Japanese restaurant in a small town. It's simple and its great. I'll definitely keep coming back

Ordered take out on the way through Hope. The beef terriyaki roll was so dry I poked the beef out and just ate the rice. The yam tempura roll was still crunchy and we had also ordered an avocado and cucumber roll. They forgot the cucumber and the avo was still hard. The only thing that "wasn't bad" was my husband's chicken terriyaki roll, but he said he wouldn't get it again. Too bad, we were excited to try somewhere different on our pass through town.

If you are here as group tour, it might be ok. They are really nice to them. But while the group customers are here, servers and kitchen staffs IGNORE you, and never clean up other tables. My family were waiting more than half hour only for miso soup and another half hour for ordered dishes. Next time I will go Mcdonalds rather than here.
