Food we received was awesome, very personal and friendly young server seemed very eager to help us pick our meal. We came before 3 so had brunch, cant say no to eggs benny. My hubby said his house burger was to die for! Homemade patty with an interesting sauce that worked really well, and he got a salad as his side for no charge. Only putting 4 stars because they were out of most of their desserts.. could be a good sign? Coming back on our next pass through Hope to try that Mango meringue, hope we’re as impressed as we are today!

I already been there about three times, and everything still amazed me. I love there "Hanky's House Burgers", beef patty taste so good and just couldn't forget. Their "Pulled Pork Sandwich" is also taste awesome. And I tried their "Sweet potato cake" today, it's way better than lots of bakery in downtown. Even they located in Hope, still strongly recommend to come there. They are my best choice.

Drove through Hope on a day trip and were looking for a place to have lunch. We saw the great reviews for Hanky's, decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint! Great customer service, super clean and pleasant atmosphere, delicious food, and even though we didn't get a chance to try them the desserts look DELICIOUS! Highly recommend the house burger and the rice bowl. Thank you for the fantastic meal!

If you want to judge the food by the food and not the ambience then this place is for you. The server is super nice and friendly and the food was delicious. The sandwich was craved the next day. Lots of flavour and the fries are good and crispy. My wife and I will definitely eat here again the next time we go through hope.

This place was really good. We got the spaghetti with meatballs, seafood pasta, and chicken strips. They were all delicious. The Oreo cheesecake for was amazing! Not too sweet and decadent. Wish we could’ve tried more desserts but we were so full. All very yummy. Too busy eating to take pictures but got one of the dessert.

I have to unfortunately change my rating from five stars to one. Went back there to have dinner with family. There was a waitress that was so incredibly rude that we didn't bother ordering, and the table with a large group left too due to her poor attitude. A shame as the food was good and we wanted to support a local small business. Old review: New owners with great service. Benny was awesome! Great spot!

Wow!!!! I’m so excited we found this place. We had the stir fried beef with rice, it came with a beautiful salad. Also got the wonton soup which was just awesome and so nourishing. And to top it off tiramisu!!!

This local restaurant gets mixed reviews on Facebook. And we concur. Our orders were fish and chips (a dish others reported to be good) and the house cheeseburger. The decor is bright and welcoming. Nice music at appropriate levels playing. Service was prompt but less than attentive. My fish and chips consisted of previously frozen triangles served with overcooked fries. The fish smelled "fishy" as frozen often does. The fries would have been great with about 30 seconds less cooking. The coleslaw was fresh and excellent! My wife's cheeseburger was nicely presented with the same overcooked fries. Toppings were plentiful and tasty. However, she reports that the meat patty was barely warm. That was our finding on these dishes today. We will return soon and try something else. That's when we decide on future visits.

If you are in the area, driving through the area or live anywhere in B.C. You better come hit up this place for the wings. They are amazing. Best wings I've had in Canada. I will be back and will definitely make the drive out from Langley just to come here for the wings. Keep rocking the food at this little kitchen. You guys rock!

We were stuck in Hope from the mudslides and were looking for a hot meal. I had the ham & bacon bennys and my husband had the Hanky's breakfast. The food was SO yummy and the portions were big. Everything tasted fresh and the whole meal was presented with care. There was just 1 server taking care of the whole place (including a bus tour of people) and he did such an incredible job, never missed a beat and was friendly, too. I'm sorry I didn't get your name, sir, but you know who you are - thank you for the terrific service under such hectic circumstances!

We stopped in for lunch on our way for a hike. My wife had the eggs benny and I had the pulled pork sandwich. We were supposed to share but she wouldn't give up much of the benny as it was so good. The sandwich was great too but the fries had such a nice crunch it made it the whole plate excellent. Tony our server was supper friendly and even gave us some pointers about the area. It's too bad we were so full as the cakes looked amazing. No doubt this will be a regular stop for us every time we pass Hope.

My husband and I stopped in because our usual restaurant had a huge lineup - Hanky's is now our go-to pit stop in Hope! My husband ordered the eggs benedict (he said it's the best eggs benny he's ever had) and I ordered the turkey sandwich, which was delicious. Their fries are top-notch too. This is a family restaurant and you can tell that they take pride in their business and service. Would definitely recommend!

Hands down the best restaurant in Hope BC. Family owned and operated, tasty food, perfect everytime and clean friendly atmosphere. My favorites are: Rice Bowl with Sweet and Spicy Sauce Creamy Chicken Pasta Chicken and Waffles And I heard the Spicy Chicken Burger and all the Beni's are fabulous too! This is hands down the best restaurant in Hope. Great people and food. Highly recommend: Rice Bowl Creamy Chicken Pasta Sweet Potato Cake They make a ton of stuff in house and it shows. Wow! Wasn't too sure about coming here but I am SO glad we did. All 4 of us ordered something different and each dish was incredible. Great flavor and cooked to perfection. Even the picky eater loved it! Their desserts are made in house and cannot describe how yummy they are. They're light, and sweet (but not too sweet). And to top it all off, the service was great as well. Very friendly. Definitely will be coming back here again.

One week food is really great fish n chips then go 2 weeks later and order same menu item it overcooked and the batter is dark brown and fish is dry same waitress different service o 1st visit no complaints good service second visit she doesnt do anything about bringing our problem to chef . so it a down grade to 3 stars

I've been twice now. The food is good the service is friendly. I find it overpriced and I really didn't like how they control my ketchup and tarter sauce. Awful food. Ordered 3 eggs benedicts all came with raw eggs and a strange grey fatty filled ham, along with hollandaise that tastes like awful margarine. Chef doesn't the know the difference between soft poached eggs and raw. They only discounted my bill even though no one ate so we still paid $30 for a meal for ice tea and a cup of water. Tried to talk to the waitress and she continuesly told me there was nothing she could do. Definitely will never eat there again.

For 7 dollars I got a half stack of the smallest pancakes I've ever seen. 3 tiny little cakes about 5 inches round and 1/4 inch thick. Came with whipped cream, jam, and a tiny little portion of syrup. There was no butter served with them, and you must ask for syrup on the side or they will pour it on from the kitchen. No butter, really? I mean who eats butter with a pancake right? Will not be going back.

Stopped in after a visit to Othello Tunnels. The food was top notch, with good portions at fair prices. The staff were very friendly, but didn't tell us the secret ingredient in the salad dressing. Oh well, will just have to go back.

My wife, two small children and I stopped here on a busy weekend after all the fast food joints were lined to the road. The restaurant was clean and staff were very friendly. However, I was disappointed as this “family restaurant” had no kids menu or options leaving me with minimum $12 options for my toddler that wouldn’t eat a quarter of any adult portion given to him. Nonetheless, the food was very good but wish there were more options for the littles.

We were on our way from Vancouver to the interior for the weekend and stopped in Hope for an early family dinner. There wasn't much open so we were just driving around when we found this place, and OMG - what a find! Simple basic menu of comfort foods, clean, welcoming decor that manages to bridge 80s chintz with clean simplicity. And on the counter a mouth watering selection of cakes that'd do any cake shop in Vancouver proud. Service was quick and friendly and we went with a plain waffle and syrup for our son (one tough customer, food wise) chicken tenders with fries for our daughter, seafood linguine for my husband and a beef stir fry on rice for me. We got our food and I think we took one bite each before we started exclaiming over how good it was. Even the simple romaine side salad was delicious, and I am NOT a salad person, but I ate all the side salads! My kids, who between them have the collective appetite of a 3 year old, not only devoured their food bit asked us to get extra chicken tenders to go. They later tore into them on the car like a pair of cavemen! Our boy is a bit of a waffle connoisseur and he wolfed his down, proclaiming them the best he has ever had. If you're passing through Hope, stop at Hanky's. You won't regret it. My only gripe? They're on Hope, not Vancouver, otherwise we'd be regulars.

Just passing through Hope and felt like some breakfast. Came across Hankys Family Restaurant. We arrived tight at opening time, quickly shown to our table and served some good coffee, that's only the start! I ordered a ham and bacon benny with a large wonton soup. The benny was stacked with actual ham, mushrooms and bacon. The hollandaise was delicious, not to strong or thick and was served an extra bit alongside. For $8 or so you cant go wrong with the wonton soup, also packed with veggies and a wonderful broth. Chicken wontons were packed with flavor as well! And it got better with some noodles at the bottom. Highly recommend this Spot in Hope, great staff. Top notch.

We had such a good lunch at Hanky’s Family Restaurant today. We had the Rice Bowl and the Ham and Shrimp Fried Rice. So tasty. Portions were perfect. Presentation looked good. It was so yummy that we decided to try thedesserts as well. Tiramisu and Sweet Potato cake. We weren’t disappointed. Light, almost airy. Not too sweet. Service was friendly and fast. We wished we could try the whole menu. We highly recommend this place.

Do not eat here. Service is horrible. Waited 15 minutes for them to even take a drink order never mind bring is a menu. Then our order took another 30 minutes. Brought our supper to us but I had to 5 minutes later go to the pass bar to get our garlic bread that we specifically asked if it included. Sitting there going cold. We ordered the pasta, hot wings and a side if fries. Chicken linguini with bechamel sauce and supposedly pesto. No pesto to be found, half a bottle of salt and a quarter cup of parmesan, still no flavour. Chicken was charred, and not the good way. Seafood linguini. Same thing. The hot wings, well I'm not sure what they were but certainly not hot. Not once were we asked if we would like another drink or how everything was. And when they took our plates it wasnt would you like anything else. One bill or 2. Hmmmmmm....... was really looking forward to dinner

My son ate it in a flash. I will visit again. :) On my way back from Kelowna, I accidentally stopped by the children and ate it so deliciously. The restaurant has a good atmosphere and is a restaurant that you often want to go to if you are close to home. I ate burgers and bibimbap chicken, but I ate hamburgers because my son was so delicious. (Original) I happened to drop with my twin by on my way to burnaby from Kelowna. The atmosphere of the restaurant was really cozy and the food was nice. Especially, the hamburger was the best. My son ate it in a flash. This is a gem in this part of town. We had an early dinner going home after a long drive from our Okanagan adventure. We missed our rice and Hanky's have ham and shrimp fried rice & beef fried rice similar to bulgogi. Our the food we ordered did not disappoint us. The ambience and the music is inviting. You feel at home dining with them. I highly recommended this restaurant.

I visited this restaurant with my roommates since it seemed like a very new place around this area. We ordered cream chicken pasta, spinach omelette, and chicken waffles each and were very satisfied with all dishes (plus mango cake as well)! With that being said, they were out of half of the menu and the soda was not specified as non-refillable (resulting in a $6 charge for only 2 sodas). The food was incredible. My girlfriend and I drove over from Vancouver, and I was pretty exhausted. Our waitress however was very friendly and kind, and she really made my day. Would highly recommend coming here!

Delicious pub style food. I had the spicy chicken burger which was huge and very tasty. The kids had beef fried rice and we extremely happy! All for about $32! Love the old school decor too!

Wow this is definitely worth coming into town for, all the food was exceptional and the service excellent. The desserts look like they come from a patisserie. We had a huge salad, tofu bowl, pasta and pulled pork and all of it was great. If you like fries, they are the best we have ever had.

Definitely recommend the egg Benedict ! Not too heavy, great taste, just perfect. And they can make it vegetarian if you ask your server! They swapped the ham for some spinach, it was really good! Great family restaurant

Great sandwiches at a great price point. Excellent plating and presentation as well. I didn't try the fried rice but I saw a couple orders come out the kitchen that looked fantastic.

we are here right now, and the food was perfect! i had the fish and chips, and i cant honestly say when i have had better, my girl had the tofu rice bowl and it was also just perfect, we finished up dinner with their oreo cheesecake and it was soooo good, just like home restaurants if not better, i think it was better tbh. very friendly staff. cant wait to come back. we sure hope this place gets heard of, so it stays around, it was just a perfect night out. wine is fair priced as well.
