Friendly fast service. I got kids smoothies and a mocha frapp. It was delicious. I saw lots of people ordering food and I wished I hadn't eaten before going there. It all looked really good. I liked the feel there very hip and relaxed. There are tables or cozy chairs around a stove. There are also a few seats outside to sit at as well.

As always, a good place to stop for a break on the drive into/out of Vancouver. Something, of a staple in Hope, I suspect they have been a major reason for Hope's downtown area evolution over the last couple of decades. Good food, quick service. The drawback is their current lack of washrooms.

A hidden gem in hope. Went in with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised by selection of breakfast foods and beverages. They had gluten free options too! I had a gluten free BELT that was delicious and my partner had an excellent breakfast burrito. Would highly recommend!

This was amazing. The service was among the best I have ever seen /experienced in a breakfast cafe. Great vibe and decore. Excellent coffee and choices for breakfast. Not a full kitchen so adjust your expectations that way. Mostly baking and wraps, but excellent. I would stop here any time I came through Hope!

It is so much more then a coffee shop. Food was delicious. Beats out Tim's and Starbucks hands down. Dont waste your time with those other two. Just a couple blocks into the center of Hope and you will be very happily rewarding your palette.

I really hope you see this and take this feedback seriously from a loyal customer. Every time I pass through Hope I make a point to stop at the blue moose! Today I ordered a latte with coconut milk - when I asked how many shots were in a medium she didn't answer my question. My partner ordered a mocha. My latte came out and right away I could tell it was very burnt - I could hardly pick up the cup even with a sleeve on! And I can't taste any coffee, even after it cooled down enough to drink it in the first place. My partners mocha accidentally got put in somebody's personal cup and instead of transferring it to a paper cup the barista dumped the whole drink down the sink and started again. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed by this whole experience - I paid 5 dollars for an undrinkable coffee and watched a perfectly good drink go to waste for no reason. I work as a barista and know how difficult it can be during the morning rush. That being said as a cafe you have a job to do and today, at least for us, you failed to do that job.

We usually stop in here on the way to the Okanagan. Great coffee and food although a little pricey. Usually a lineup but it goes fairly quickly. Bathrooms were quite disgusting though. Probably one of the better places to eat in Hope.

If you're passing through Hope, or even staying overnight, this is the place to go for coffee and snacks. Well staffed, great coffee. Grab to go and sit in the square enjoying the views of the 360 mountains. John Rambo would not shoot this place up.

Great coffee stop in Hope. Popped in yesterday to pick up a goodie and a pound of coffee. The shop appeared closed but a head popped out the door to let us know they were trying to navigate the first day of opening in the new world of COVID-19. I said I was hoping to pick up a pound of ☕️ coffee. A pound of coffee was handed to me while being wiped down with hand sanitizer. When I attempted to pass the owner my credit card he said “thank you for coming here today the coffee is a gift”.

The falafel wrap was tasty, but it wasn't the best Falafel wrap I have had. The falafels were not warm and there were tiny bit of veggies and my tortilla chips were 1/3 as much as my friend got with her chicken sandwich. The chips were just tortilla chips from bags. I felt they were too dry without sauce. Service was fast considering how busy the cafe was. The washroom I used had some water leaks from the ceiling and it wasn't pleasant to have some clean or unclean water dripping on my head when I was using the toilet. We were often suggested to visit this cafe if in Hope by our hiker friends. But, I don't see what makes this place so special after all. I would pick another cafe or a diner for breakfast and choose a restaurant for lunch, instead.

Great place. I would recommend ordering a quinoa salad. Taste like any ordinary cafe you would go to, although its on tripadvisor's top 1 resturant. Hope doesnt have good resturants, go to here!

Moderately sized cafe with a more modern leaning atmosphere for most cafes but still with a cozy cafe feel. If you don't come at peak hours it's not that busy but lines can get quiet long. The staff are amiable and the food is good, I recommend the triple berry scone.

Blue Moose is a coffee shop first that likewise sells a smaller selection of baked goods made by them along with sandwiches and other 'lunch stuff'. Sweets didn't look as enticing as I had hoped; more specifically, I went with the date square, because the other baked goods, like their cinnamon buns, looked a bit dry. A date square is always a good choice in cases like this, and I do like date squares. -- "Mimi's Cake Tour"

Disappointing, not a very good environment and way too overpriced. I honestly have no idea why this is so highly rated. We stopped here for lunch and although my boyfriend liked the milkshake the sandwiches were really disappointing. There was 1 slice of turkey on my sandwich and about quarter chicken breast on his chicken club, to top it off those 3 things were $30… If you just need coffee it’s probably a good place but I wouldn’t recommend eating here.

The food and coffee were ok in taste. Why I am only giving two stars, is that the service has not been good on a few occasions now. This time when we visited, I went up to the counter and smiled at the employee and said "Hi! How are you?" she just stared back at me with a blank expressionless look and didn't reply at all. She Also didn't greet us, and did not say please, or thanks, or have a nice day.....zero effort or customer service...very disappointing....although the barista was very pleasant and friendly. Also, the price of the food (for what you get) is astronomical and ridiculous. Especially for a small town like Hope. In fact, the food prices here are way more expensive than Starbucks, and you get less portion. Now that's pretty bad. I paid almost ten dollars for a veggie flat bread sandwich, which didn't have much filling and about 30% of it was bread on bread with no filling.

It is shameful that a business that sells drinks and food is allowed to close their washroom to the public and make it someone else's problem to provide washroom services. We are supposed to be washing our hands during a pandemic. Otherwise a great restaurant.

Excellent food. We usually stop on or way through Hope for a special coffee and sometimes a bite. They have a great selection! For a large space the have managed to maintain the coziness. I have no idea how!

Great café, wouldn't be out of place downtown Vancouver. Serving great ethical bean coffee. Staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Lots of seating - coming even during busy time a there are plenty of seats available. Very happy we stopped by.

Disappointing experience. We read that there were lots of GF options but they were limited to just a few choices. They got my husband's GF order wrong but did fix it pretty fast. I had the breakfast burrito (not GF) and it was so bad I took one bite and couldn't eat anymore - the eggs tasted so powdery and the tomato sauce was super sweet. The coffee was pretty good though and the manager was very helpful when they got the order wrong. Nice spot to break the journey but disappointing food.

Stopped by at this coffee shop on route to the interior. I was disappointed on a few fronts. Coffee some mediocre at best. I purchased a mult-berry scone. $3.50. It literally had 1 berry in it unlike the scone in the display case that was loaded with berries and quite enticing. Finally, there restrooms are closed. Not sure why. Most venues I've been to (ie: starbucks) have not chosen to close their restrooms because of covid. I think it's well established that covid is not being transmitted widely by contact but is spread respiratorily . I think they would provide a much safer experience if they opened their washrooms and made masks mandatory.

We stop here every time we pass through Hope. Haven't tried anything that wasn't delicious yet! Huge selection of breakfast and lunch items, and yummy coffee and treats. Usually busy, long line for the bathroom, and a bit of a wait for food, but worthwhile. Extra points for their obvious attention to cleanliness and social distancing during these crazy times!

Covid update- Amazing food selection for a "coffee House " friendly staff and lots of indoor seating(when permitted again). Everything taste so good. Take out only plenty of safety barriers. Small patio for outdoor eating.

The maple caramel macchiato was to die for. It comes with two coffee shots but I asked if I could have it without the coffee. They were more than happy to leave it out! Massive plus there! The chicken sub was good and the chocolate fudge brownie was yummy!

I've been going here for years. A funky little place. Quality coffee. Service is just ok. Their gluten free wrap is not good. They have good soup though. It's overpriced in my opinion. Still, if you're passing through and looking for a place to stop, grab a coffee, and walk around town this is the place to go.

Really good coffee, really good food, really busy. Tour bus stop. Popular with tourists. Coffee is fair trade. Sandwiches, bakery. I had a bean quesadilla. Comes with salsa, sour cream and chips. With coffee, it was twelve something. Chatty staff, which is amazing considering the volume of customers.

Very cool and casual cafe in Hope. Chill vibes, lots of lounging space and interesting art/decor. We brought our own games to play after grabbing a bite to eat. The staff was friendly and didn't rush us out the door even though we took a bit past closing to finish our game. French onion soup made my whole week! The broth was fantastic and the bread hearty. The cheese on top was ooey gooey and fantastic! One of the best french onion soups I've ever had. The chicken pot pie was okay, not my favourite though. Good crust but not enough filling! I'd swap out the chicken breast for thigh meat...to make it more tasty and juicy! I'd go back for the French onion soup alone!!

Certainly the most popular cafe in Hope! They serve real coffee here, which is refreshing! Located right in front of the park, accompanied by quite a few wood carvings along the street, and the ex gun shop (now a wood carver and beads shop) where the movie Rambo was shot, this is certainly a good meeting spot to get conversations going! I enjoy their soup for cold days. They also has a good range of cakes and quick lunch offers

Was a bad experience, kinda sit down and get ignored. The whole place had to share one menu on a stand at the end of a lineup just before you order while 4 people stood behind the counter counting sheep. Management has to do better if you want returning customers. The whole vibe sucked.

Being Celiac, I was not expecting much, sandwiches being the main item on the menu. However, I was pleasantly surprised when offered a selection of gluten-free breads. I settled on a gluten-free toasted bagel with turkey and all the fillings and it was delicious. A wonderful treat!

The best coffee in Hope. However the food can be hit or miss. Gluten free options are limited, and specialty made boxes tend to miss ingredients that you've paid for. The coffee can be very good to overly sweetened depending on the barista. It's worth the stop, especially if you're a wrap and sandwich person who likes a decent cup of coffee.

This was a wonderful little coffee house. Great place for food and good coffee when you are in Hope BC. If you have kids, the park is access the street. If you read my previous review it was a mistake and meant for the Holiday Inn in Vancouver. My apologies to the Blue Moose.

Love that they offer online order- ahead service! So, when you're on the highway, you can order your coffee ahead, and just pull in and go in and grab it! Saves time especially when you need to wait for a cappuccino. And, they ARE worth waiting for!

Overall food was good, drinks were a little overpriced and the girlfriends cappacinno was too dry, so basically all foam. The staff said that's how it was supposed to be but still offered to make a different beverage eventually. It's really busy there and service was mediocre. You are basically ignored and pushed aside. Have to pick up your food when a buzzer goes off and then put your own plates away. Be prepared to spend some $$$

A modern coffee shop that's worth a stop by if you are in or passing through Hope. They have light and dark roast coffee that is good quality as well as one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had, the sausage biscuit. Other than a selection of baked goods, the food menu is surprisingly extensive for a cafe. They serve draught beer and wine making this a great place for small groups to enjoy an evening of food and drink.

Very good coffee. Yummy falafel wraps, almond croissants, and danishes. Kid friendly and good for larger groups. We had two families with 6 kids, we found the space to be large enough and felt quite comfortable.

I stopped in as I was charging my Nissan Leaf at the DCFC electric car charger on the corner. Amazing coffee shop with a massive selection of snacks and meals. It was tough to decide but I went with a feta cheese pastry that was super good. Topped it off with a vanilla latte for the road. Loads of room in here and looks like a great place to bring a laptop with free wifi

The coffee here is horrendous. I often stop here when I am driving through Hope but their coffee, while never great, has become undrinkable. Food and service are good. Prices are a little high for what it is.

I used to love the Blue Moose but I couldn’t get in because of the line ups. Today there was no line up so now I know why. The hummus was dry and cucumbers slices were REALLYthin The soup tasted like water. Even salt couldn’t fix it. Sorry butt I won’t come back there again.

Whenever I have the opportunity to go through Hope I always make a point of stopping off at the Blue Moose for the best cup of coffee I typical have throughout my road trips. The Staff are very welcoming and always greet you with a warm smile. They make incredible sandwiches. The other best thing is sitting down with all the very friendly locals actually the last time we were there it was totally packed but some of the local guys sitting outside gave up a couple of their seats for us then invited us to sit and have our lunch and coffee with them it was wonderful. I would highly recommend taking the time when you pass through Hope to experience The Blue Moose and the Friendly Folks of Hope.

I think there is something wrong with restaurant permits in Hope that allows a place this large to have this few bathrooms. The wait for a bathroom is as long as the line for your food, which is cafeteria style and numbered table service. So if you want 2 waters and an apple, like i did, look at being there for an hour if you following up with a bathroom break. And there was only 5 people in front of me in both lines. A lot of people like the food, but my less flavourful experience and high expectations leave this review with only 3 stars.

What an amazing selection of delicious baked goods! The cinnamon bun was really yummy with my espresso, and my daughter enjoyed her sausage roll and soy latte. I saw several gluten free options available as well. There are t-shirts and hoodies for sale so I bought one as a Canadian souvenir for my hubby! The vibe is busy and bustling with plenty of tables and comfy sofas to sit on. I'd definitely return to the Blue Moose!

They forgot one item we ordered and we had to go up and ask for it after they took the number from our table and we waited for a few minutes. Had a Cinnamon Honey latte and all you could taste was the dry cinnamon power even after I stirred it. Asked for both coffees in to go cups, got the latte in a to go and the regular in a cup. Had to ask for a to go cup. Staff seemed more interested in talking to each other than helping customers and very slow. Super expensive for what you get. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich for $10. What I got. Cheese whiz on two pieces of bread that had no butter on it and was barely grilled. For another $3 I got a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup that had almost no broccoli in it. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you have too much money to spend and enjoy crappy food where you have to stand in line to order and pick up your food yourself. Oh and they have a tip option...how about make better food and don't charge a arm and a leg for it!

When in Hope, we go to the Moose. If you're lucky, they'll have a day-old cinnamon bun left for an excellent price. If you're less lucky, you'll have to pay full price, but you'll be glad you did. THE PERFECT OTHELLO TUNNELS DETOUR This place was a stellar find. The food and drinks there were excellent and the staff took care of us very well. Unfortunately, I didn't take photos of my food (I thought I had) but it was great. The outside view is not from the restaurant but is about a five minute walk away. It's a great place to get your drinks, food and stretch your legs for a bit.

Came here for lunch based on reviews. Disappointed. The potato soup was just OK. The greek chicken pita had the worst pita I ever had in my life. Croissants were good but very small. Update July 2019: Service has got much worse. They now expect customers to pick up their own food via flashing electronic buzzers. See attached pic. Very annoying. Minus one star. Food was barely warm. New food was heated better but I received no buzzer and it was left to get cold on the counter and not brought to me. Minus one star. Coffee was in a paper cup, not in a mug. Minus one star. Ironically the buzzer is only for the food which arrived very slowly but long before the coffees. Meaning that you cannot enjoy your good due to continuing to wait for the drinks. Minus one star. Queue for wash rooms was crazy long. Wife queued for a very long time. It's like a coach load will enter the place and all queue at the same time. Need more wash rooms! My wife said the toilets were in a disgusting condition. Minus one star. Summary: Service has gone down hill with so many things going wrong on one visit.

I'm never disappointed with my experience at the Blue Moose Coffee House. Never had a dusappointing experience other than maybe my favorite berry muffin being sold out! They have lots of room inside, also its always full when we come. Last time we went there was stuff standing at the door to make sure people honor the social distancing, hand sanitizing and mask and face mask advise to keep us all save! Thank you for doing this.

Meh, not as good as we were hoping and based on reviews. The place was busy and there was a line up but it moved pretty quickly. I ordered their special which was pork lettuce wraps. They give you 3 sprigs of romaine and a small cup of the ground pork mixture. Definitely wasn't worth $10. My fiance had their beef barley soup which was average and my girlfriend had the grilled cheese that wasn't grilled enough and had half a brick of cheese on it.

Ordered a GF vegetable wrap. The GF wrap was cardboard even for GF standards. When I ordered the wrap the cashier told me it would be "loaded" with veggies. When I got it, it had mustard, cucumbers, tomatoes and a piece of iceberg lettuce THATS IT !! It looked like a preschooler made it. I notified the staff and they added more vegetables but it was still very subpar for a $10 wrap, it didn't even have cheese. 10/10 would not go back.

Picked up some sandwiches to go and they were so average. Grilled cheese was flavorless and sloppily made. Had more cheese on the outside than in. Chicken sub was so bland. A real bummer considering I've had okay stuff from here before. It's never been amazing but it was alright. After this visit, I doubt we'll go back.

Was going to suggest this place for a bunch of coworkers for a work lunch while driving through Hope and don't see any prices listed anywhere. Menu looks great, but what do you have to hide with not posting prices? Please update your website. Thanks

Nice little coffee House with black/dark furniture. Artisan and brewed coffee served. They also have pre-made cold sandwitches for quick bite. Staff seem efficient and quick. The town HOPE is little cute town with small restaurants and caffees surrounded by mountains. We had a 15 minutes stop on our way to Vancouver.

Great coffee and food offerings, if a little on the pricy side for the food. Staff are helpful and constantly moving, this place is BUSY! Orders can be a little slow at certain times did to backlog (they could use a second espresso machine). My usual stop riding or driving through Hope :)

Great coffee however line was out the door almost by the time we left. Not efficient at keeping people organized for pickup of coffee as not much space and making handcrafted espresso beverages can only be done so fast. Only lost the star due to the unorganized delivery of coffee and food.

Nice café with relatively fast service. The toilets wet a little worn out and not entirely clean, but still acceptable. Luckily compensated by the delicious (and large) meals they serve.

I always make sure to stop here on the way through! It has amazing organic coffee and friendly staff. There is a great selection of food and baked goods as well. If you we'd a pick me up for a long drive this is the spot for you. The park across the street is beautiful as well and worth taking a look around. I'll definitely be back, next time I pass through Hope!

Felt more corporate (i.e. "Starbuck-y") than I was expecting, but still seemed like an okay place to hang out. The latte I had was pretty weak in flavour, though. I'd probably go if I needed a place to work for a while since they have a great selection of baked goods as well as a full menu, but I wouldn't go back for another latte.

The best place to grab a coffee before heading on the highway up in to the mountains. Looks like it turns into a nice bar later in the day if you are in town for the night.

The staff was friendly but the prices and portions were unbelievable. We ate breakfast here as we ended up staying the night in Hope due to poor road conditions. 2 small burritos (about 1/2 the size you'd find everywhere else) and 2 hot beverages came to $23.70 and we were left still hungry. We grabbed some muffins for the road which were pretty normal price wise but they were poorly made. The cranberry orange muffin had 1, only 1 cranberry in it and the chocolate banana only had chocolate sprinkled lightly on the top. Overall we were very disappointed and won't be stopping there again.

Love the Moose, you can always count on it when stopping through Hope. They have frappe! Their food is as delicious as it looks staring at you from inside the case. Staff are always friendly. This is not a quick stop, this is where you slow down and realize you're on vacation and don't have to rush. They're always busy but get everything out as quickly as possible- well staffed. Leave Starbucks behind, you don't need it when you have Blue Moose.

Good food. Had the chicken pesto panini. It was delicious! Very fresh and the bread wasn’t hard but nice and soft. Came with tortilla chips but no salsa. There’s only 2 bathrooms to use so there can be a lineup. Otherwise, very pleased with our visit!

Stopped here briefly on our way home from the Okanagan. Cute funky coffee shop with friendly staff. I had a chai latte that was terrific and my husband had a chocolate chip cookie which he said was the best. Next time I will stay longer and try more from the menu.

Great place! Surprising there is a place in Hope so accommodating of vegetarian and pescatarian options! We had the beyond sausage bratwurst and the smoked salmon croissant and they were so good! Not the cheapest place but you get what you pay for. The lattes were great as well! Coconut and almond milk options are nice to have. Will come back for sure!

Cozy atmosphere and I like the lighting. Great choices in delicious coffee. Lots of choices in treats and sandwiches. The staff is super friendly and chatty and fast. I have been in Hope for one week and came in everyday, sometimes twice and it is always a buzz of activity. And lots of parking! I will miss the Blue Moose when I leave town!

Love the Blue Moose! Always stop for a tea and a snack on my way through town. They've got a great variety of drinks (hot and cold), and some food options. Staff are friendly and covid procedures are being followed.

Place is pretty good. Only place in Hope you get a coffee house experience and all the travelers to the interior stop here. .. So .. it is Stupid busy even though they have enlarged their premises. Tip to would be entrepreneurs ? Hope needs competition.
