Basically the best pasta around. Such a perfect place to take a group of no more than six. I have no recommendation because it's never wrong but when I pick it's usually the roquefort with tricolour fusilli.

After reading countless rave reviews, my husband and I were really looking forward to having dinner here. Unfortunately, we left very underwhelmed. We made a reservation on a Wednesday night but still had to wait 20 min or so for a table. The wine list is very limited. The warmed bread was delicious, as was our Bruschetta appetizer. We didn’t finish it and asked for the rest to be packed up, but we never got it. We both ordered Spaghettini, yet both received Spaghetti. I ordered the Lemon Vodka with chicken and my husband ordered the Shrimp Aglio. Both dishes were okay, but not anything special. We had several bites each, but stopped there and had the rest packed up. We went elsewhere for dessert and drinks. Overall, La Spagett was fine, but we won’t go back. My husband summed it up best when we walked out with, “Meh”.

I love this place! The only thing is, the last time I was there I saw someone messing around in the corner, and I thought it was the owner's kid or something because he'd been there for 10 minutes or so, messing around. Then he jumped out and I realized it wasn't a kid, it was actually a full grown man. It was a little surprising.

Best pasta dish I have EVER HAD. I got the Basil Pesto Pasta on linguini and it was phenomenal! Yummy fresh baked bread with house garlic butter is unlimited for each table as well. Slightly pricey, but totally worth it as everything is made authentic and from scratch. Will be visiting again for sure!

Overall a very enjoyable experience. My wife got the pasta dish which she was incredibly happy with. I tried some of it but it was not my personal favorite, mostly as I'm not a fan of shrimp. The pizza was good, the toppings are large and plentiful. The wait staff were friendly and quick, and did their jobs well. Do be prepared for a small restaurant, there are only enough seats for about 15 people. Wish I had gone for the gnocchi but I guess I'll just have to go back. Very nice restaurant for a date night.

A hidden gem! Fantastic pasta, reasonable prices and friendly staff. Great spot for a romantic dinner. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy (we're talking low lighting and candles) but still casual. It's a tiny place with only a handful of tables, so you definitely want to make a reservation well ahead of time.

This gem is truly stellar. Fresh pasta with delicious fresh sauces. I haven't tried a combination that isn't absolutely scrumptious. The atmosphere is very cozy and would be very, very nice for a date night. The wait staff are attentive and charming. We always enjoy our time there. My only complaint is that I can't always get a seat when I want! :)

La Spaghett came at the recommendation of one of our colleagues, a born and raised Hamiltonian, who refers to it as her favourite restaurant in all of Hamilton (bold claim considering the emergent restaurant scene). Five of us eagerly sat down for a lunch reservation, including one chef.

A friend from out of province was in town just for the evening. She and my wife had planned to go out for dinner, but had made no decision about where to go. At 5:45, my wife suggested I call La Spaghett. Given that she knows how difficult it is to get reservations even two weeks ahead, I wondered why bother. But I called, and sure enough a table for three was just becoming available! We got there just after 6:00. Needless to say, the three of us enjoyed a superb yet moderately priced dinner, including wine, a shared appetizer, and a shared dessert. Our friend is a Calgary foodie with high standards. She could not stop thanking us for arranging such a fabulous meal!

This is the second time we have ordered from La Spaghett and picked it up. Everyone must be so tired of cooking during this COVID Pandemic. Treat yourself to an absolutely delicious meal from La Spaghett. The staff is very friendly, everything is thoroughly disinfected and the food is so tasty. One of us had a birthday today, La Spaghett included a delicious. By ordering food and picking it up, it is a way to help this restaurant stay in business until the isolation period is over. We will definitely be ordering again.

Wonderful service, great food at reasonable prices and the presentation of the dishes is proper and clean. The tables are small though and seating is limited, so I would highly recommend a reservation when attending on a popular night like Friday. Also, the ambient lighting is quite low, so for anyone with vision problems, remember your glasses. Just walk by the door and the smell alone will be enough for you to go inside.

Definately a higher tier of quality and presentation. I was beyond surprised at the price to portion for their lunch specials.Their sashimi was about 50% larger than what is considered normal in America and the fish on the sushi totally covered the rice were large enough to touch the plate on both ends as you may witness at better establishments.

Highly recommended if you are craving for an Italian food. Pastas are tasty and delicious. I tried lemon vodka with chicken with linguini pasta. ???????? The hours of operation is limited and it is about 4pm to 8:30pm. I suggest make a reservation Before heading up there or go for take out.

Small place very tight lights were very dark for me I like to see my girl. Meal was ok. Service was good. Apps were the best part the bread was hard. We had a reservation for 7pm the tables weren't ready which is fine but there is no waiting area so we and others had to stand in the door way which is very tight in a dbl door area.

Forget all the overpriced chains on the other side of the Linc, save yourself the extra 10-15$ for an overpriced burger and have a nice real Italian meal here. Small business, only one waitress, but she knew what she was doing and service was great. Your food is made to order. Atmosphere is dated, but it's not pretending to be trendy either. Comfortable. Very reasonable prices for food, and very good food. Finding out that Dufflet supplied desserts makes me wonder why I had never been here before today. Will be back next time I want Pasta and I'm in the area. Did I mention Dufflet desserts?!? If you want craft beer and a huge bar... this isn't the place; actually surprised they didn't serve Pellegrino (they do have Perrier though).

Server attention is good, atmosphere is intimate and cosy, bathroom facilities are clean and functional, table and utensils are clean and well presented. Warm bread is served with garlic & chive butter, this is delicious. The bruschetta has a balsamic reduction drizzled on the top and the sour strong smell detracted from the taste for me. I switched to fork and knife to eat the appetizer which helped minimize the strong sour smell. The chicken parmigiana is crispy and well cooked, the pasta and sauce are not hot enough for maximal enjoyment. My dining partner, who is also a Chef, has sausage pizza and she found it inconsistently cooked. Her suggestion is to break apart the big sausage pieces, bake the pizza for a more crispy crust and cool it on a wire rack before plating.

This place always lives up to the great reputation. I have never had a bad meal here. The food has always been great, and the service wonderful. Went on Friday night with friends. Hot bread brought to the table. The best caesar salad around. Amazing pasta. And for reasons unknown to us, the lovely Rebecca sent over a decadent dessert for us after our meal! She has always treated us with the same unwavering top-notch customer service. Thank you for a great night out!!

We had to travel to Hamilton for weekend and needed a dinner reservation before my nephews Stag and Doe. After unsuccessfully trying to get reservations at local chains I made a reservation for La Spaghetti. Upon finding the restaurant I was somewhat underwhelmed by the front of the building. We ventured in and we were pleasantly surprised. The service was very good and the food was delicious! Fresh pasta and a wide variety of sauces to choose from! Prices were great and all together a great find!! We will be back again!

A beautiful intimate atmosphere, perfect for a special occasion with your partner. If you like garlic, their garlic soup is worth the visit. But let’s not stop there—their pasta dishes are among the finest. You select the pasta then have over a dozen sauces to choose from. Even their pizza is excellent. I love everything about this place. It is one of Hamilton’s hidden gems.

My favourite out of the 3 was the Quattro fromaggio linguine. Also the garlic butter that they give you for the bread is sooo silky and delicious!! Lady that was working was very friendly as well, will definitely be a returning customer!

Great food and delightful service, plus they will tailor your meal to your taste and needs - you probably have no idea how BIG a deal that is with my wife's gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free, legume-free dietary restrictions. Our server (I am so sorry I don't remember your name) was attentive, informative and fun. Thank you, La Spahett, for a delightfully tasty, and worry-free meal. Next time we are back, I would love to try the Cream Vongole sauce again, but this time with something other than gnocchi. Both were great, but they did not compliment each other.

I'm giving three stars only because in the past as a person who dined in only, I never had any issues. I have been a loyal patron of La Spaghett Pasta House for many years. I've always loved the food and service ... until today! I have never ordered take out but wanted to take fettucine alfredo home for my mother. I called about 1:40 pm and was told they were closing at 2:00 so I would need to get there soon. Which I did. I picked up the package and paid just over $21.00 and took it to my mom's. I opened the container to find the smallest portion of fettucine I have ever seen. I was amazed at how little there was. I was so unimpressed (shocked, actually) that I called at about 2:15 pm and the call was answered. I told the fellow that I was really disappointed with the scrawny portion. He said that it was weighed and 8 oz. is what you get. He said it was probably because of the large container that it didn't look like a lot. Say what you like, it was a very small portion. If that was a regular portion it makes me think how badly I've been getting ripped off all of these years. The serving bowls in the restaurant must be really small because anytime I've eaten there, it always looked like a generous portion and I could ever finish it and had to take some home. Too bad because La Spaghett was on the top of my dine out list. Now it's rock bottom. I will be telling my Facebook friends about this lousy experience.

Call in for walkin to see if they can get you when it is late because they are packed normally but it is better to make a reservation. There is a reason this place has been around so long, the owners know their craft and they do it very, very well. My trip here took me on a roller coaster of expectations. Starting from looking at all these outstanding reviews to my arrival at this unassuming strip mall nestled in a corner of Hamilton. Once you go inside this tiny, quaint eatery, you're sealed in by dark blinds that isolate you from your surroundings so your senses only focus on your company and food. Needless to say, we had some of the best food of our life, partnered by a helpful, friendly and thoughtful staff. If you've ever questioned coming here, do yourself a favour and make a reservation!

We are trying to support local restaurants and have been ordering out for the long weekend. Wow, La Spaghett was amazing! The Roquefort Rustico with penne cream sauce was to die for, linguini fresco with chicken was divine and a chicken Parmesan with spicy tomato sauce was a true staple. It came with garlic butter and bread, and grated Parmesan cheese. They even threw in some free dessert because it is Easter. We will definitely order there again!

The owner often is serving and is one of the friendliest and happy people I’ve ever met, without being the least bit phony. Worst customer service. My colleague and I reached the restaurant at 7:45 PM last night. Upon arrival we patiently waited for 5 minutes before we were greeted by the server. His attitude was obnoxious and he seemed irritated to see us. When we asked if there was availability, he told us that the two empty tables that we saw were reserved and that we could wait to see if the reservations showed up. After waiting 15 min outside, a table of 6 people had finished their meal and left. We decided to ask again if we could be seated now as patrons had left and now there were 3 open tables including the people that didn’t show for their reservations. It was now 8:05pm. The response I got next was abrupt and rude - the server said that they were no longer seating anyone and the kitchen was now closed. This was an interesting response as there were patrons who were just ordering their food. Also, the restaurant doesn’t close until 9pm. This to me is extremely poor customer service. What is more unfortunate is that my colleague and I can’t help but wonder if there were other factors at play that were specifically directed at just us. To respect the evening of those patrons in the restaurant, we left and ate else where. However, I felt the need to raise my concern with the manager and/or owner. In speaking with the owner, I was told that she couldn’t explain why we were turned away and that she would call me back with an explanation after speaking to the staff. I’m still waiting. This is an unfortunate turn of events as these local restaurants need as much support as possible - with service and behavior like this, it’s hard to do so.

Having talked about experiencing La Spaghett for some time we finally did so for lunch and were not disappointed. The service was excellent from beginning to end. The menu selection will satisfy even the most discerning pallets. The value for money based upon portion size and quality of food was outstanding. A great Italian restaurant where everything is fresh and homemade... the inside is romantic cozy and beautiful the food is beyond belief good and fresh and the prices are affordable and fair. The location of the restaurant is extremely unusual, you would expect a fine dining place like that to be in a upper scale neighborhood and not in a mini strip mall between nailsaloon and chopstick house... everything on the menu is good it's all homemade the portions are large and plentiful this is a highly recommended place

Wow! I am a fussy eater with many food allergies. I cannot rave enough about how accommodating the chef is. I didn't need to change much (no parsley garnish and had peppers left out). There are wonderful olive oil sauce choices ( Creme and red sauces as well). It was amazing!!! Worth every single calorie. The bread basket served with garlic butter give the meal a delicious start. There is an appetizer made with the same delicious bread with olives and cheese that is irresistible.

Food quality was poor. Gnocchi was not home made. Grocery store gnocchi is unacceptable for this type of restaurant. The accompanying hot sausage was precooked and reheated. That reheared taste is quite noticable. That dish must be done properly or just remove it from your menu. One individual in our party asked for spaghetti and got linguini. Previous comments praising attention to detail I must question. as I had the more expensive dish on the menu, I expected more. Fresh is key to success and it just wasn't there.

I don't give 5 ???? lightly, most places get 4 no matter how good they are because there is always something that can be improved. Now, it's almost always something. We got there 15 minutes after opening, and explained we didn't have reservations. Not a problem, they said. I would still suggest them though. After a great and funny chat with our server, my partner ordered the garlic soup, and I asked for the garlic bread -- both were exquisite. Everything was cleared in a good timeframe, and our mains of quattro fromaggio with gluten free pasta and chicken parmigiana were less than five minutes away. Both were amazing. Coffee after was very nicely presented. I've been in more expensive places that didn't treat their customers in food or service nearly as well as these women did. I actually don't want to post this, because they will get busier, and I won't be able to pop in spontaneously anymore. But get reservations. You'll thank me for it.

A group of 4 of us went for dinner for the first time to La Spaghett on May 11, after our friends heard and read good things about this place. We had reservations but the count was misunderstood so we had to wait a few minutes while the table for 4 was assembled. We waited outside as the restaurant is tiny. Our server called us in when ready. Once seated we got the vibe of this very cozy, trendy Italian supper club. There was a good selection of wines, appetizers and sauces and pasta. Our server, Rebecca, who was AWESOME by the way, was very knowledgeable about what sauces worked well with which pasta and suggested we could customize our sauces. We started with a large crostini; delicious! They also provide a warm basket of bread and whipped garlic butter, which could be a meal in itself. We all had different pasta and sauce combinations and we all loved them. See the yummy pictures for details. We wanted some coffee but surprisingly they didn't serve espresso. We ordered regular coffee instead and it was good. I guess that Rebecca heard it was my belated birthday dinner or she felt bad about the espresso incident so she sent us a plate of some chocolate dessert to share. It was a great treat and unexpected surprise. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had a great time! Thank you!

This place is absolutely amazing. My wife and I go here once or twice a year and are always blown away by the service and quality. They have a strong selection of local wines, and thoughtful ingredients in all their dishes. My slight piece of criticism might be that they do not offer non-alcoholic beer choices, and that the music is slightly cliche (Sinatra's "Amore", for instance). The decor is cosy, and the portions are filling but not gargantuan. My favourite Italian restaurant in Hamilton, and a must-try at least once.

Very small place so reservations are a must. The food is awesome but I would skip the appetizer - we ordered the crostini but didn't come close to finishing our main course. They specialize in pasta so our mains were awesome. You pick the pasta and sauce separately.

Having talked about experiencing La Spaghett for some time we finally did so for lunch and were not disappointed. The service was excellent from beginning to end. The menu selection will satisfy even the most discerning pallets. The value for money based upon portion size and quality of food was outstanding. Beverage selection is what one would expect on an Italian restaurant and again with very reasonable prices. Will definitely place this restaurant on our to do list again.

This place is a hidden gem in Hamilton. Close to the highway if you come from out of town. Very private about 8 tables so small. Great atmosphere dim lightning and a nice selection of pastas salads and wines etc. Pricing is very affordable and large portions. Highly recommended.

La Spaghett hit a grand slam. Rebecca stepped in and took our order and delivered amazing dinners for our birthday celebration . Not only was every dinner an explosion of flavours...but will take another dinner to finish. The only disappointment....and not the fault of La Spaghett ... is the fact you miss out on the usual plate presentation that enhances the meal. Thank you Becca????????

Did not have a good experience with the waiter we asked for a separate receipt as we were 4 couples. As there were some that didn't have a drinking or appetizers like that it was easier for the couples to pay for there own meals. I still don't understand why? The place is extremely small...we heard all of the conversations next group that was seated behind us. I will not return.

The pasta dishes served here are, bar none, delicious! Equally great is the caesar salad, as well as the warm, crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside, bread that is accompanied by the herb garlic butter. Just wonderful! What I don't like about this spot is the extremely dark ambiance and lack of lighting. It is so pitch black in there that you truly have difficulties reading the menu. A wee bit more light wouldn't hurt and still keep the cozy setting. It is a tiny restaurant anyway. Service is pretty good, friendly. I would definitely go back for a third time.

I had never been to or heard of this restaurant before and decided to try it out for my birthday because of all of the amazing reviews. All I can say is it 100% lived up to its reputation and consisted of an amazing, intimate atmosphere, DELICIOUS food, reasonable prices and extremely friendly service. They even brought a fantastic and unexpected birthday dessert on the house. Reservations are definitely needed, since it is so quaint but very popular, however I also don't want these amazing reviews to push them to upsize. The tiny, romantic atmosphere is part of what I loved most and I can't wait to go back and try some of their other tempting menu options. Bon appetit!

Small place, a little hole in the wall and looks closed when you get to the door because they keep it dark/candlelight inside. But the food is amazing, served quickly and by friendly staff. Always love coming for dinner here. And they take reservations so if you have a group of 4 or more I would definitely call ahead. But a great Italian restaurant in Hamilton!

Always wanted to come here and finally did. We were not disappointed. Food was delicious. It's small, intimate, and not for those interested in getting in and out quick without a reservation as there may not be room. Service is not rushed but timed just right. I went with 2 friends and we enjoyed every bit of our meals. The Crostini app was so flavourful. The antipasto salad was amazing and a generous portion for a small. I'm vegan and they were very accommodating. Would we go back? Hell ya! ????????...PS. It's very dark in there.

Is it possible to give this place 10 stars?? Unbelievable how awesome this experience was. The venue is small, maybe 8 tables, great music, dim lit, aroma of only what I can compare to heaven. The food was out of this world. The garlic butter that is given with the fresh bread upon seated is to die for. The soup and salad were dynamite. The pasta....oh the pasta. Cooked perfectly. The sauces are unique and seasoned just right. The staff are amazingly sweet and take great measures to make sure you are happy. And to top this whole tasty experience off, the beer is cold and served with a frosted glass. Kudos to the owners and even more so to the cook. If you love pasta, garlic and fresh ingredients, you MUST visit this place.

We waited 10 minutes to find out that this restaurant didn’t do take out and we were told to leave. Totally not coming here again. Sure it may seem like a great place for pasta, but there’s a definite lack in communication to their consumers. La spaghett? More like I’ll Forget. Bye.

Amazing. Worth every penny. The free bread with garlic butter is amazing on it's own. Then all the pasta's are simply delicious. What was said the most at our table was "oh my god" every time we tasted something. Cosy little place dedicated to serve freshness and the best tastes! The staff is also wonderful and knowledgable of the menu.

La Spagett is an authentic Italian restaurant that has become a beloved favourite in Hamilton. Their dining room is tiny - just a few tables - so make sure to call ahead and make a reservation. The chef creates each dish from scratch, which allows the kitchen to accommodate people with allergies, but also takes time, so don't come if you're in a hurry. Believe me - the wait is worth it! I treated a friend to dinner last night, and from starters to dessert every bite was delicious. Their wine list is well balanced and the Malbec we shared was a perfect pairing for our dinners. A wonderful experience, and one I hope to repeat very soon.
