Authentic Italian food at extremely reasonable prices. Atmosphere is lovely - quiet and intimate. My husband took me here for Valentine's day dinner and our appetizers, main courses, wine and dessert put us under $70!! There isn't anywhere else I can think where we could have had the same experience for that price. Definitely a hidden treasure, check it out for sure!!

Dined here for the first time on Sunday. We have been meaning to go for sometime based on the reviews here. So glad that we did. Food and service was wonderful. Fresh homemade pasta and sauces. I could have dined on the pizza bread. Homemade tiramasu shared by the four if us topped the meal off beautifully. Will definitely return.

The place was empty, literally two tables being served, walked in and waited several minutes, nobody came. Pretty much had to walk in the kitchen to get somebody's attention. The guy was very rude and said he wasn't doing any more tables all night and it was not even 8 pm. Did not offer takeout or anything. Waste of time.

I've driven by this place probably hundreds of times without realizing there was a restaurant hidden in this vintage Hamilton home on King Street. Now I'll definitely stop by again. If you read some of the reviews circulating about this place you will notice a popular theme: slow to bring the food. It's because they make it fresh from scratch to order. So if you want whipped cream for your Spanish coffee, it didn't come out of the can. We were a foursome, so we had talking to do, times to tell, so it didn't matter to us that they were having trouble catching the chicken and defeathering it. The food is fresh and tasty. Worth the wait. But for an Italian restaurant I think they should really spruce up their wine list... And beer selections... Inexpensive Home style Italian cooking served in an environment reminiscent of an old Mediterranean house with soft contemporary music played in the background... Great service, very attentive.

Ordered antipasto for two, tagliatelle with seafood and veal parmigiana. For the antipasto they did not put cheeses, the tagliatelle had no taste of the sea and they added a piece of salmon (in Italy we do not put salmon among the seafood) the veal was not tasty, in general nothing was tasty. we will not be back.

We went to Giuseppe's for my birthday dinner last night and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It's the first time I've been to a restaurant since March and we were quite comfortable. The tables were well spaced and the server masked. Now, the food. The food was great. We had the Chicken Parm, Lasagna, Canalloni, and pizza with salads to start, and apple turnover for dessert. All were delicious. As was the complimentary bread. I could, frankly, just have eaten the bread for my meal. Will we back? Yes. And, it wont be long before we come back. Looks like the have takeout, too.

This is the best dinner I have had in my life! I do not usually write reviews but this needs to be said. If you are ever in Hamilton this place is a must! From the amazing service to the clean and rustic feel. This place this truly AMAZING! The food was so incredibly tasteful and fresh! We started with a bruchetta pizza (Best crust in the world!!!). Then came our main courses. I was in awe at the presentation! At first bite, it was like no other. Flavour explosions from every mouthful. Then came dessert.... made from scratch tiramisu!!! Accompanied by a couple of cappuccinos! The foam on the cappuccino was full and fluffy all the way to the bottom of the cup! I could not even give this place the praise it truly deserves. Please do yourself a favour and go to Giuseppe’s, and I can promise you will not be let down.

Dined in, the service was just terrible.. waited over an hour for pizza with a main topping missing, our entrees were bland and the portions were small. My food greatly upset my stomach minutes after eating here. The waitress was the least bit friendly. I don't think we will be returning.

This place is a secret that shouldn't be kept to ourselves! We felt like we were in NYC, dining at an authentic neighbourhood Italian eatery straight out of "Moonstruck." The bread they brought for the table was so delicious, we were sure it was the bruschetta pizza someone had ordered. Caesar salads so fresh, they ruin you for any other. The gnocci was to die for - so fluffy and delicious. We will definitely be back!

Their pizza is the closest thing to authentic Italian homemade pizza I've ever had outside of an Italian home. Incredible. One strange thing: when paying, rather than bringing out the card machine, Guillermo takes your card and comes back after a minute with it in a machine. Gets me paranoid every time, but no fraud yet.

The location isn't terribly great....but the restaurant is lovely, bright, clean and in many ways resembles many of the restaurants in Italy that I have been to. The food was outstanding. It's a bit slow - but that's because they are in there cooking from scratch. Well worth the relaxed wait The service was fine, the wine recommendation was excellent and the prices were very fair. I will absolutely return. It's a hidden gem in Hamilton.

Great place for Italian food! Service is spectacular and the quality of the food is amazing! Call before going as they don't have many people for dinner and it could be a wait if you don't call before. Most pasta is made in house and I highly recommend the gnocchi or ravioli!

My boyfriend and I went to Giuseppe's for dinner here and it was a great experience! We were greeted with fresh home made bread and a friendly waiter. We ordered a bottle of wine, pizza and a seafood pasta dish-- all very good. We finished off with cappuccinos and two pieces cheesecake on the house! (which we barely had room for. We fit it in though, it was delicious!) The atmosphere was very nice, we were seated at a lovely window table lit by candle light. The service was very good, we never felt rushed. Great overall dining experience-- we will surely be back!

The chef is the the best in town. Can't understand why they are not more busy. He will prepare what ever you want if you don,t see it on menu. Changing my review from a 5 to a 2 I have been ordering from this restaurant and have been going to it for the last 7 months yes the food does take a little time to come and its alright. Unfortunately the service is very poor, the waitress had no clue what she was doing couldn't even open up a bottle of wine properly very unprofessional. I would suggest take out as an alternative. I'm sad to say there was candle wax on my daughter's knife. I couldn't get a decent glass of wine. Way over priced for the service. Left and went to another restaurant

Atmosphere second to none. Gentle music playing. Lasagna was everything you could ask for from authentic italian cuisine. They have different rooms, including a patio, so you are bound to find the perfect spot for any occasion. I highly recommend this spot. *romantic rating =12 out of ten*

First, I am a PizzaExpert on YT and did a video review on this pizza. Second, the interior of this home (turned into a business) is creepy, dated and awkward. From the large screen tv to the bar area, it’s interesting to say the least. The pizza kinda tastes like lasagna lol It’s got a little kick to it and was nicely cooked. It seemed as if the dough was old. When asked, the owner was evasive about where he gets his mozzarella from. The cheese was ok. SEE MORE IN MY VIDEO REVIEW ON YT.

Great food. With the closing of some Italian restaurants in Hamilton, and decline of some others, let me recommend this place. These folks know how to cook and serve food. My veal parmigiana was carefully fried golden, and served with wonderful pasta. Later I came back for some takeout lasagna. Try, you will like!

Great local place to get decent Italian food at great prices. The steak was one of the best we have ever tried anywhere. Had the shrimp and pasta as well. Large portion and many shrimp. Yes service is slow but that’s because it’s made to order. Take your time and enjoy the social aspect of dining.

Right: so, what if I told you there's a small, family-run Italian restaurant making dishes from scratch, where two can eat really well ( wine and espresso included) for under 50 bucks? That would be this establishment. Ate last night there and was very impressed with the food - flavourful sauces, fresh ingredients, and all prepared when you order, not waiting in the freezer or counter. Sure it takes a bit longer - but have a (cheap) glass or carafe of wine, slow down, converse, and then tuck into one of the best home cooked meals on king st, possibly in Hamilton. Cannelloni with rich sauces, lasagnas done right, fresh baked focaccia breads. Definitely recommended.

One of the best places for authentic Italian pizza in Hamilton. Not too snobby, but high level quality ingredients. Pepperoni is uniquely delicious - somehow always tastes better than a typical pizza joint. Must try! Worth every penny. We plan to try out their pastas next. :)

Wow wow wow. Ordered for takeout and food was so delicious. Gnocchi was so light and melt-in-your-mouth, pizza was perfect, their tomato sauce for both is incredible. Also priced so reasonably, I was shocked. Very kind staff, gave me a free loaf on the house. So authentic, you can tell they really care about quality. 10/10 will visit again for dine in.

The outside of the place isnt the most appealing. When inside you feel like your in a little restaurant in Italy. The food is amazing, the customer service is fantastic. A diamond in the rough! Jerry was very accommodating, the food was made fresh! The Caesar salad had homemade dressing and warm crumbled bacon. My friends both had pasta dishes Gnocchi and cacciatore - both delicious I had primavera chicken with roasted veggies and gnocchi. The dishes were fresh, well balanced and filling. We sat on the small patio out front and really enjoyed ourselves with some Italian beers ???? The place looks a little rough around the edges but it’s the food is great ????

(It has moved above Bronzies in my rating of Italian restaurants in Hamilton.) *EDITED* Tried dine in tonight. Their veal parm is to die for. Service is very personable. Their house soup had delicious soft pillowy gnocchi added in. Excellent flavours and great prices. My husband & I were the only dine in visitors so we enjoyed the quiet & ambience.

Had a very disappointing dinner here this evening. The service was very slow even though it was not busy at all. The only server working was well-meaning enough, but very inexperienced and accidentally pushy. Worst of all, they were out of 60% of thier wine list. We tried to order three different reds, all out. All they had was either light fruity house wine or overpriced $68+ bottles. I really wanted to enjoy this place. And the food wasn't all that bad. But next time I think I'll stick with Bronzies.

Fine dining Italian restaurant setting. Located in a house on King st E. Quiet atmosphere with lots of seating, alcohol options, specials of the day, homeade pastas and pizzas. Vegetarian options. Nice desserts. Priced from $6 appetizers to $16-20 dinner options. Very fresh & tasty. Four stars only because the service was a bit slow considering there was just the four of us in the whole restaurant.

This place is a hidden gem. I drive by it all the time and wonder about it. I saw a friend post about it after she discovered this restaurant when in Hamilton for a concert. Then I knew I had to try it. Finally we had an opportunity to go with some friends who had been wanting to go as well. I'm so glad we did. I made a reservation because we weren't sure if it was a busy place on a Friday night. It wasn't busy and at the time we were there it was just us 4, but that actually made it more fun for us. I will say this, the only reason its not a 5 star review is because of the heat. The portable AC unit was just not helping and it was the hottest day of the year so we boiled. We didn't really get into the bar menu because we aren't big drinkers but my white wine spritzer was refreshing and just what I needed. The orange slices in the water were a nice change from lemon. I really enjoyed that. We started out with Caesar salads that were perfectly portioned and nicely dressed. The soft warm bread pieces were so much nicer than traditional hard as rock croutons. Great salad! The also brought out a plate of beautiful warm Focaccia bread with a thin layer of tomato sauce and cheese. That didn't last long :) We ordered 2 Tagliatelle Con Frutti de Mare ( seafood ) dishes, one Cannelloni and one stuffed Chicken Marsalla. All of us were very happy with our meals. The menu online right now is different than whats in the restaurant so I can't give you the ingredients or the exact names on the Cannelloni or the Chicken dish. Very generous portions and the pasta is all fresh. So yummy! We were quite full and extremely warm so we didn't stay for dessert but if we had been there in the fall or winter, I'm sure we would have tried whatever they were offering. We had a fun time joking around with the man who was our waiter. I assume one of the owners. I'm sure they were just as warm as we were but the service was great, the food was special and the company was fantastic. Our compliments to the chef as well. We will definitely be going back when the weather is cooler. I would highly recomment this restaurant, and will, but I almost want to keep this place to myself. If you want some really good Italian food, fresh pasta and excellent service, do yourself a favour and go. You will have to wait a bit for your food, but thats because its being made right then. It comes out piping hot. Thanks guys! We'll be back to see you at Giovanni's! Ooops I mean Giuseppe's HAHAHAHA - a little joke we had with them while we were there!

Being from San Francisco I was not expecting great Italian food from this restaurant. I was very pleasantly surprised. The good was excellent. I had spaghetti and meatballs that has amazing flavor and the chicken parmesan that was so tender it almost melted in your mouth. If you want a great Italin meal give Giuseppe's a try.

Traditional Italian restaurant owned by two brothers. The food was excellent and the service was great. It's in an older building in the east end of Hamilton. There's a staircase leading into the plan but the washrooms are accessible.

Where to start, I have personally never ate in, have had take out three times and every time the food was hot and ready within a couple minutes of arriving. Food was delicious and myself and friends/ family that I have ate with have all been impressed. We have ordered a variety of food and never had a complaint, food is delicious, lots of flavour and plentyful! Staff are friendly and helpful. Everyone that I have recommended this restaurant to has been more than happy as well. Looking for a great Italian restaurant you have to check it out!

what a gem in Hamilton. The exterior doesn't offer much, but the food really makes up for it. We had the lasagna , gnocchi, and a pepperoinr pizza. The pizza was the weak point - much better than any local pick up spot, but not quite as good as industria , or Chicago style pizza. The pasta dishes were great - good portion sizes and wonderfully seasoned meat sauses. The food looks like it was prepared for you by a family member, but it tastes fantastic.

Despite arriving really late to our reservation and near closing time, our wonderful waiter Jerry (who also happened to be co-owner of the restaurant) still gave us the very best service and didn't rush our meal in any way. Jerry made us feel welcomed, offered great suggestions and was an overall delight. The night got even better when our delicious food arrived, the seafood was fresh and the rose sauce was simply exquisite, with just the right amount of spice. I highly recommend this gem of a place, you will not be disappointed.

Hands down an Italian gem in Hamilton - As a Sicilian I stand behind Giuseppe's. I've always been skeptical - and i'll be honest, I don't like the location. Its along King St in a run down area - but please, don't let this deter you. It has that vintage feel, a lot like Capri USED to have. Very slow paced and you can tell each dish is made with care and authenticity. If you're in a rush this is not the place for you - its PERFECT for a date or anywhere you'd just like to have a conversation and get to know someone. Dress for sweat tho - Its does get very hot in there with a lack of decent air conditioning which is probably my only complaint - its the Summer tho, i get it. We had two starter salads to begin, just incredible - the dressing brought back memories from eating with my family as a young child around the table yelling over one another as we all laughed - something I have never experienced anywhere else in Hamilton. A simple dressing yet done so perfectly. The two pasta dishes we had to follow were done with precision - I'm almost positive the Gnocchi I myself had was home made and rolled. The real cherry on the cake was the Tiramisu desert. I don't know where they found this piece of heaven but make sure you're in a seated stable position when you try your first taste. Unreal. I'd like to see better advertising for Giuseppe's. Just the location was enough to make me wary especially being right next to a main street in a sketchy area. Look into some advertising - I'd really like this place to succeed and stick around. A++ It was roughly 65$ for two starter salads, 2 pasta dishes and desert cake that was shared.

Great food, fantastic price and the service is wonderful. I mentioned I was interested in th gnocchi and they hit me up with some. I hmmed and hawed on espresso and he spiced up my tiramisu with espresso bean. Unbeatable service from unbeatable people. Give them a try, you won't regret it.

Some of the best lasagna I have ever had! We came here last winter before the lock downs for a family dinner. I have been dreaming of that lasagna ever since! I would recommend if you are going with a group of people to go with their set menu. We were a group of ten and without the set menu was a little slower the kids were getting restless…. The food was totally worth the wait! Another great feature is it is in an old house and very quiet inside. We have a few family members hard of hearing and they really liked the ambiance that they could hear much better than most small restaurants. I highly highly recommend this place and I cannot wait to get back!

Seriously, this restaurant is a gold mine. The food is delicious, and the service is excellent. If I absolutely have to be picky about one thing, it would be the noise from the cars and trucks passing by infant of the restaurant. Unfortunately, not much they can do about it other than relocating the restaurant and you can't do that because it is simply a part of the charm of it all. So, that said, if you can get pass the noise, you're in for a treat.

Real Italian home cooked food Order a bottle of wine, wait for the fresh baked ciabatta bread to arrive. Lasagna, Chicken parmesan and pizza are all tasty choices. I just enjoyed an amazing evening at this truly hidden gem in Hamilton. Never have I so enjoyed every aspect of my dining experience. The atmosphere was very quiet, intimate and visually pleasing, the service was polite, very friendly and came about at just the right intervals, the food was beyond fabulous, and the price was perfect. If you want to take out that special someone for a great meal in an intimate setting, perfect for conversation, I highly recommend Giuseppe's.

Only two suggestions, a slightly larger menu would be more accommodating and more maintained parking in the back would be nice. Overall it is great: my new date place!

This is a great place we should strive not to lose in Hamilton. The homemade quality food, excellent service, and reasonable prices have made this a go-to. I love the patio and the general atmosphere of white tablecloths but no stuffiness or excessive formality. Have I mentioned the food is excellent!
