Our favourite restaurant by far for the drinks, cuisine and atmosphere. Kevin the bartender is a cocktail magician! Cocktail ingredients are made with freshly squeezed fruit (no pre cut dried out limes here!) syrups are made from real often local ingredients. Not sugary nor watered down, these are flavourful and thoughtful works of art! Treat yourself and take a seat at the bar to watch Kevin work his magic!

Shared a bottle of wine and several starters with some friends. Our server was lovely, the food was good. I especially loved the specialty coffee lol. Wasnt a bad bill when you split it a few ways. Overall great experience. Recommend for anyone wandering locke street :)

Food was excellent - had pretzels (which were awesome), pickle plate (cabbage was spicy and amazing!). Schnitzel was crunchy and delicious! However... Service was unbearably slow. Waiting to order drinks and food was painful. Server didn’t seem to know how to manage multiple tables and restaurant was understaffed in general. Have to say that even though the food was great, I’m not sure I would return.

I've eaten here on multiple occasions. Service is always amazing. The food is exquisite and the beer, well it's the highlight! The servers are very knowledgable and friendly. The bartender Kevin is super personable, approachable and a cocktail extraordinaire. I recommend the pretzel sticks, the roasted butternut squash and the schnitzel. Fantastic craft beer kitchen!

This is a nice neighborhood craft beer establishment. For my money it's the best beer in town. The gentleman with the english accent is a true beer guy. Not only schooled taste, but is very aware of things happening in craft beer else where. Top notch.

I recommended the Brux House Craft Beer & Kitchen to my friends visiting from Washington DC for our fundraising event. We've also prepared a surprise birthday party for one of our friends. I loved the food at the Brux during my last 2 visits, but the service had never been fantastic. This time around the service was not only slow and inefficient, but the manager had informed me at the door that they charge 2.50$ per person for cutting the birthday cake. She'd done this very close to the person who we were surprising with the cake and almmost ruined our surprise & definitely ruined my mood for the night. Then we got appetizers to share without plates, birthday cake with forks and plates came much later. My seond glass of wine took a long time. We were the only party upstairs together with one more birthday crowd, but there was only 1 server upstaris while there were more downstairs. Disappointed and my friends were not thrilled. The quality of food was good though, as always!

Always love my experiences here! The dining rooms are warm and inviting, and I always get to try brand new beers that I've never heard of before! Their rotating menu means that there are always classic options (like a good burger) but also some interesting ones (seafood shepherd's pie). It always tastes good!

The staff here have been awesome everytime I've been in for dinner or just some drinks. The menu isn't large, but so far everything I've eaten has been excellent and there is a good variety of dishes that should satisfy anyone. They also have an awesome list of local and imported craft beers!

I went there with my wife to extend my Hamilton food experience Highlight: Spacious restaurant with two floors Good service Nice decor What did we have? Appetizer: the fish bread with a slaw 4/5 - it was delicious not wow but very good The salad with the goat cheese (sorry I can’t remember the name) 5/5 I think this was deliciously fresh, and the goat cheese was not overpowering the other flavors. Main course: we both had the same thing, which is the short rib with the risotto. 4/5 With my food standards, I would almost give a 3.5 because the risotto was undercooked and not that flavourful. The short rib was well cooked and tasty Desert: I had the “best gingerbread,” which was not the best gingerbread for me. It was a tiny bit too dry, but it was good. I give it a 3/5 My wife had the crème caramel. It was good, I would maybe add more caramel, but it was a 4/5 (4.5 to me) I hope this helps. Would I go back? YES definitely! I do not drink alcohol, so I cannot review the beer, sorry!

I had really high expectations after reading the reviews. I ordered the chicken schnitzel which lacked flavour in my opinion. I've definitely had better and would not go back there for the schnitzel. The inside of the restaurant is really cosy and conformable! They have a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, as a huge foodie, the food was not as good as I was expecting. The place was cool and our server was great though!

Great food and craft beers. Staff are attentive and service is good. Perhaps the only recommendation is to improve legibility of the blackboard with the beer selection. Dinner lighting is a bit dark, which makes reading the menu and blackboard challenging. Otherwise, wonderful restaurant!

A lovely spot for lunch. Eclectic atmosphere and an excellent selection of beer and cider on tap. The menu had multiple entry points with several gluten free and vegan options. I had the beet and apple salad and it was lovely. There was also a patio but it was a bit of a cool sunny afternoon for me. Worth checking out for sure

My Husband and I went here for our birthday dinner together. A friend recommended it and we LOVED it! They food was amazing and we also had a couple beer flights. Good food, good service. Parking a huge issue. Metered parking on street which was full. Had to cruise a lot of one way streets until something became available. Meters were $1.50 an hour. Expensive for the area, I thought.

Came here on a whim during a work trip to Hamilton and my experience was amazing. From the beautiful decor to the delicious food and the great selection of craft beer on tap (not to mention the cacti and succulents scattered throughout), I was in love! I highly recommend getting the Brussel Sprouts which were by the far the best I've ever had!! Food was served quickly and service was super friendly!

My friend and I have been a half dozen times since we moved to the area and every time we have had great food and drinks.They have a great craft beer selection .We mainly eat from the snack side of the menu and we especially like the turkey wings.They also have duck wings which were awesome. A great place to relax after work or in the evening on locke st.

Tried the new lunch items on the menu. Salt Beef and Fish both on pretzel buns. Great sandwiches and a great value as they come with a pickle spear and a coffee or fountain drink. You can add salads, soups, or fries for a small price upgrade.

The food was all so good, would definitely come back and try more items. Calamari was crispy; Rueben egg roll goes very well with the housemade sauerkraut; Foie Gras was light and complimented with not-too-sweet jam. Service was fast and friendly. If I could give this place 6 stars I would. The vibe is relaxed, the quality of food is always incredible and the beer selection is amazing. At the bar, Kevin is always attentive without being overbearing. He is a magical wizard with the old fashioneds and always is up for discussions on the right kind of beer for anyone's unique palette. Portions are adequate; they won't bust-a-gut, but if my experiences are indicative of how Brux House does business, you will never leave unsatisfied. For the main, I went with a duck confit and OMG the explosion of flavour.. just wow. I would expect this elevated dining experience from a very upscale restaurant. The tender duck had a sweet glaze that paired beautifully with the smooth spinach risotto. My friends ordered the beet stained fish on pumpernickel bread or something like that. The bread was super stiff and difficult to cut through. I was definitely more happy with my dish.

This is a wonderful little diner on Ottawa Street. I had the standard egg/bacon breakfast. I think they have some of the best home-fries in Windsor. The service was good. If possible, we should all support local small business. There are just too many Tim Hortons and McDonalds around. For couple dollars more, you can have a great breakfast in a locally owned diner.

To be honest I expected a bit more based on other reviews. Brux House is a quaint spot with an appealing menu. However, the food was a bit lacklustre for me. I had the walnut burger and my partner, the cod. My burger lacked seasoning and the cod was quite fishy-tasting. Service was good and the ambiance was nice. Good craft beer list. Maybe it was just an off night, food-wise.

But most importantly, we were incredibly impressed at how well they were able to accommodate food allergies, despite a menu that seemed full of those allergens (seafood and nuts). They way they handled it in at the restaurant was professional, courteous and made us feel welcome and not bothersome. We will definitely be back.

My friend and I tried the Brux burger and french fries, for $19 a plate (pretty reasonable). Both the burger and the fries were delicious, well above the typical restaurant experience of such fare. The portions were perfect, generous but not ridiculously large. The burgers tasted barbecued and the meat was very high quality, but the bun and all the toppings were high quality as well. The french fries at Brux are just ridiculously good. I had a delicious riesling and my friend had a delicious IPA beer to go along with our food. The alcohol was pricey but that seems to be typical of most restaurants these days. The hostess and wait staff are courteous and attentive. The interior of the restaurant is attractive and inviting, but we availed ourselves of a table on the patio since it was a nice evening to be outside.

The servers are very helpful and friendly, high grades. The menu needs better descriptions, main ingredients listed but no description of preparation or how servers. Portions on smaller side with exception of fries. Great place if looking to sample many craft brews. Not quite our palette.

This was our first night dining in at a restaurant since covid started. We were extremely pleased with the food and service. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We ordered the arancini, pork belly, chicken sandwich, and duck confit. All were excellent and memorable. The cocktails were great too! Cozy spot on a cold night with ample free parking. Food, service and atmosphere was great! Made to feel very welcome and staff were most accommodating. I had the pretzels and the soup of the day. Both had wonderful flavour. My vegan friend enjoyed one of the salads and my other friend had the veggie burger. Would definitely go back again.

Hands down one of the best taprooms I have been in, and my list includes the great taprooms in San Diego, ground zero for craft beer in the USA right now. The glasses were perfectly cleaned and shaped, the young lady knew how to pour! But the star was their burger which has now vaulted into first place, putting second place so far behind I cant remember what is was. Great service, food, properly chilled and filled beer glasses Keep up the great work!

Some would call place cozy but I would say it’s very small, noisy and a little pretentious. Menu was interesting but limited. Beer and wine is overpriced for this type of ambience. Chairs were uncomfortable and tables were crammed together or you sat by a wall on a stool. Surprised their liquor licence even allowed that much seating to be honest. It’s Ok for a local bar but I wouldn’t drive and make a special trip to go there again.

We ordered off a fixe prix menu which had three choices for the mains. I ordered the General Tso Chicken Burger which was delicious. I also ordered the soup which was a lovely butternut squash. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is very relaxed, casual. It's known for beer and others I was with ordered the mini beer flights which they seemed to enjoy.The food and drinks menu will take time to go through as there are so many interesting and different things listed. Servers were fabulous in explaining those questions to help clarify choices, and also with suggestions for options available. Thoroughly enjoyable!

Brux house is a nice quaint, and well decorated restaurant. The style seems very mod, and in a way it's very appealing, and they play the music to match. Around 7pm the ambient lighting turns down and they set candelight for everyone. The server "Julian" I was extreamly impressed with. He is professional, very polite, knows the beer provided, gave great suggestions, helpful, and patient. For drinks we were not sure what to order, but we described our pallets to the server and he had a few samples for us to try. My date landed on the Bible Belt by eviltwin brewing, very dark ale with very strong notes of dark chocolate and coffee bean. Not my cup of tea, but she was a fan of it. For myself I liked the Town & Country blond ale by Dominion City, light but with hoppy wheat notes. I would have preferred stronger but I'm picky, still a good ale. Upon drinking the alcoholic beverages we paid a visit to the restrooms. The restrooms here are very pleasant, unisex one patron at a time style, and very clean. On to the food! To start we had; -Crispy fried brie , the almonds on top give a nice texture, bluebery with cheese flavour was delish, lettiuce because everyone needs roughage, but a nice light starter. -Shrimp saganaki, a light and very flavourful tomatoe sauce with shrimp, the bread that this plate is served with gives the shrimp a nice smokey flavour. For the main; -Mussels & frites, good portion, muscles are delicious ... Can't say much just damn delicious (should not bring a date to share with, I wanted them for myself). -Brux burger, now when I order a burger, I expect it to taste like this. Had mine done medium well and I have to say in all honesty of all burgers I've had, this one is perfect. Fries the mains were served with were just fries 8/10. There was a choice of side salad as well. I would have liked to see some different sides from a place like this, and maybe even using some of their ale selection to cook with. Overall it was great, everyting came to us in a timely fashion. I'm very impressed and so was my date, I will be coming back and telling my friends to do the same.

The details in this place are exquisite. From the wood trays that hold your bill to the full board of craft beers, there was literally nothing to complain about here besides how busy it was. And that wasn’t even annoying because you could tell they deserved it. I had a starter of crispy Brie with blueberries and an incredible Reuben style burger (the novemburger). The food was amazing, atmosphere was perfect, service was exceptional.

If you haven't gone - GO!!! Everything we've had there is over the top delicious, fresh and served beautifully!!! The fish pie is something you must experience at least once in your life! The only drawbacks for us is that the washrooms are up a very long/steep flight of stairs making it impossible for someone with mobility issues like myself. Also, for those of us who are not craft beer lovers it would be nice to have one or two choices other than wine or highballs. Service is always good!

We had a wonderful dinner. Although the starting calamari was a bit too fishy. Both the fisherman's pie and the flat iron steak were excellently cooked and generously portioned. The fisherman's pie was probably the better of the two, very creamy and well seasoned. The drinks were good, but not outstanding. However both the decor and service stood above the normal standard.

The location was great and the food was also great. Service was extremely prompt and friendly upon entering. There is a good selection of craft beer and wine to consider with you food too. The burger was the choice for my stay along with a very cold sampling of beer which took two glasses to make sure I liked it. There's lots of room inside but if it's summer venture out on the patio. Parking is found in and around the area and close by there's a Starbucks with metre parking behind too so bring some loose change just in case. Hope you enjoy. Thumbs up if you found this useful. First impression was that it’s a pretty cute place; very hipster but for a mature crowd. Things seemed good but my partner found a piece of metal in his schnitzel & mashed potatoes dish, which is inexcusable. He was giving our baby some of the food and thank goodness she didn’t get that piece of metal. Also for the price of it, you would expect better. They comped his meal and drink, but he left hungry and our appetite for this place was ruined.

Took a seat at the bar mid-afternoon. I was unsure about what to try from the menu but Tim directed me to a great choice within my dietary needs and price point. Had the short rib and red pepper risotto and was amazed at the flavours, kudos to the talented chefs. Perfectly filling without being too much on the plate. Sarah and Sierra helped me find a great wine pairing for the short rib, a delicious Malbec. Had a thoroughly pleasant experience and will be back to the Brux House ASAP.

One of my favourite date night spots! Love the patio for a more casual night, the indoor dining is beautiful too. Great service, very professional staff - they always give recommendations and are very thorough with their menu. I went during covid a few times and bought a few wine shop bottles - they had a pretty decent selection some cool bottles that I’ve actually wanted to try! The wines aren’t wines you can get at LCBO. Had the best chocolate cake of my life there - I know they change their menu every once in a while but if you see that on there it’s a must order ????

My partner and I went yesterday evening for dinner, and unfortunately I have to say I was disappointed. The service, ambiance, and drinks were amazing! However, I can’t say the same for the food. We ordered the spicy lamb ragu and the fried chicken sandwich. The lamb and chicken were, in our opinion, under seasoned and uninteresting. The sides they came with (pasta and fries) were fine though. Our appetizer was good—we were adventurous and tried their chicken liver parfait. Might come back for a drink or snack but not for dinner.

Everything was great, but they overbooked and we had to wait an hour even though we had a reservation. The manager (that night; I know the other one) didn't even stop to ask why we still had our coats on and looked uncomfortable sitting on stools. He did look pretty hip though. Our server was super friendly and offered us happy hour on our first drink since we had never been there and happy hour just finished right before we got in. I got a flight of beer and enjoyed every one. We weren't looking for a full meal, so we got the hummus appetizer and we both loved it. It tasted great, different than what we usually get and they provided a good amount of pita bread with it too!

This was not clear when we booked the reso. We drove from Guelph our friends from Niagara.. who were late due to traffic. Not a good location for future meetings. Awkward to have to be kicked out. My husband was particularly offended when the waiter came to the table tapping his watch.. and said you have 15 minutes left...and you guys were late.. AWKWARD ...

The Brux Burger is the world's best burger. There, I said it. This was my second time eating at the Brux House, and my second time eating the Brux Burger. After my first visit, the Brux Burger became the standard by which I measure all other burgers. So far, none have come close. Medium cooked patty, crunchy and sweet pickles, sour sauerkraut, nutty cheese and salty corned beef in the pretzel bun all complement each other for a well rounded, delicious burger. Maybe I would rather bacon over corned beef? But that's a minor critique, because I think both are great. For $19 it is a steal. 11/10 5 and a Half Stars 110% The real MVB.
