Everything was delicious. The fried frog legs were nice and crispy and the dip was delicious and flavourful. The brussel sprouts were perfectly cook without bitterness. For entree the duck breast was fantastic, perfectly cook medium rare, and it’s purée has a great depth of flavour. The apple gelée was an excellent idea and blended well with everything else. The charred scallions were perfect. For dessert, the crème brûlée had a very well balanced flavour, not too sweet as it sometimes the case, and a nice crust. Will be back!!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved loved loved the ambiance- lighting and music. The food was great. Had Oysters, short rib with risotto, and creme Brule. The sugar had the right amount of bitterness. Went solo and didn't feel weird or unsafe!

Had a fantastic night here!! We stumbled across this place and decided to try it out. It's such a cozy little spot. The food was amazing, I even ordered a second portion of the squash and apple dish and got the recipe to try at home! The staff are super nice and brilliant at what they do and the owners are very down to earth aswell. Couldn't recommend enough!! Thanks so much guys!!!

This place is so nice and quaint. We enjoyed everything on the menu. The scallops and oysters were amazing. The trout was spectacular and dessert was the perfect finish. Everything was made to perfection. The waitresses were extremely attentive. We will definitely come here again and we are bringing friends and family! Highly recommended!

From the moment my wife and i walked in we were immediately greeted and welcomed into the restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and the staff worked so seamlessly together. We got to enjoy watching the kitchen in action from a cozy booth, it was like front row tickets to a show. The food was absolutely incredible, we were so happy to he able to get the 'Bon Temps' experience and I HIGHLY reccomend this to everyone looking for a perfect restaurant experience.

A surprise find and decided to try it out. It didn’t disappoint at all! The staff is very friendly and pays attention to the needs of diners. The atmosphere is great! Intimate, quiet and yet posh and classy. The best way would be shared plates between friends and try as many dishes there as possible. Each plate is unique, sophisticated, juicy, and flavorful. This place has been opened just 2.5months, not a large venue. Definitely recommended - contemporary French.

Thank you so much for an amazing dinner! I have been raving about Bon Temps to my parents for ages - finally had the opportunity to bring them out for dinner and as usual the meal was incredible and the service is amazing. The owner/kitchen staff always go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience and quickly adjust if there is something you are not happy with (which almost never happens). I would highly recommend ordering many dishes and sharing as literally everything on this menu is amazing and worth trying. Thanks again & cannot wait to come back!

I've been here a couple times with a friend and we love it! We went a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. That parmesan gnocchi was out of this world and actually has ruined gnocchi for me. Arguably it is better than the gnocchi that The French does - which if you're familiar you'll know it's also fantastic. Frog legs were delightful. Duck was on point. Half priced oysters between 4 and 6. I have nothing bad to say. ????

Bontemp makes lovely shareable plates that have an air of french elegance amid a warm and cozy atmosphere. It was a perfect place to celebrate a friend's birthday. Seated at the bar, with the open kitchen right next to us, (which we hardly noticed), the tables and bar seats filled up quickly as the beautiful plates arrived one by one with perfect timing. Clearly I am late to the party on this hidden gem!! A nice selection of wines, great cocktails (we would expect no less with owner Dave at the helm!) and the menu was presented in an envelope, tied with twine as if a gift for us. Merci! The menu has something to please every palate and our shared plates did not disappoint. We started with a terrine of braised rabbit, duck confit and foie gras, surrounded by pickled grapes, apricots and cranberries, with a handful of sorrel tossed in a vinaigrette. We discovered sliced nuts throughout the terrine which added a perfect contrast to the meats. It was served with slices of baguette and it was delicious. Mussels were next, classically done in wine, herbs, garlic and butter. Flower petals were sprinkled over the dark shells to brighten the plate. Very pretty. I wanted a loaf of bread to soak up the delicious broth left behind and thought it would be rude to lift the bowl and drink it...and I did consider it, momentarily. It was really hard to choose from the Turf menu, everything sounded amazing. We settled on the beef tenderloin and I am quite certain I ruined the presentation that would normally have torched bleu over the beef, but I am not fond of bleu and they happily put it on the side. The medium rare beef was incredibly tender and flavourful, lying on bacon mashed potatoes (oh my god) with heirloom carrots that made us feel a bit better about devouring the plate, as we slid our potatoes and beef through the shallot and garlic demi glaze. Despite the food glow, we had to have dessert, afterall, it was a birthday celebration!! We shared the chocolate patē, with fresh whipped cream and berries. The atmosphere is perfect for friends, family celebrations and date night evenings. I liked how some of the tables were tucked in nooks that created a private area with glowing candles amid the hustle and bustle of the kitchen line. Congrats Dave, on creating a lovely Hamilton gem!! I can't wait to return.

The service and food were fantastic. The wine was really nice and dry table wine so not overpowering or so dry that you want to have a drink of water. I started with the oysters and the homemade horseradish was delicious. We had a sharing 20 ounce steak. It was too much to eat all in one seating.

Friendly and attentive service - casual atmosphere but fine dining in terms of the service and the food quality. This evening we had the venison with mushroom lasagna dish (amazing!) and the pillowy gnocchi with butternut squash (very good). Good cocktail selection too, and always some local craft beer on tap, though not super creative ones.

Out of everywhere in Hamilton, this has easily become my number one spot for the greatest food in the city. I can’t compliment one dish because they continue to change up their menu and each new menu item is better then the last. You are crazy if you don’t try this restaurant.

Excellent. !! We went Monday night for $2. Oysters. So fresh and tasty. Very pleased. Then ordered frogs legs and Brussels sprouts. Absolutely delicious. A taste bud pleaser. Our friends had the cheese platter. They mentioned the tuxedo cheese was amazing. Dave was extremely generous with his drinks and was a pleasure to meet and be served by. We will definitely return and recommend to family and friends. Tres Bonne!

First time trying here tonight and it was awesome. I’m not usually crazy for burgers but it was maybe the tastiest burger I’ve ever tasted. Oysters were provided by Maisys Pearl so they were obviously fantastic. Will 100% recommend and 100% be back. Can’t wait to see what the rest of the menu has to offer ????

Honestly, we have been so disappointed with this restaurant. Given the reviews, we expected much better. We ordered 2 burgers. This was pricy ($25) for the quality of it. It's like a fast food burger that comes with fries. And the cheese on it is purely industrial. Maybe the other dishes were better. But don't make clients pay 25 bucks (tax and tips excluded) for that please. I like to enjoy good food but this was not. I prefer to go to small local restaurants and appreciate their homemade food. This time, I would rather order a burger and fries from McDonald

You know, this might be the hidden gem of the Hamilton food scene. Hidden on a corner of John and Augusta, this cozy little French restaurant serves exquisite french cuisine and an offering of french wines to sip along with... We had the shareable 20oz steak with garlic mash and vegetables. Cooked to perfection. A cheese sampler and oysters to begin with were superb! Open kitchen to the dining room. Small but stocked bar. A must visit!!!

My absolute favourite date night spot!! My fiancé and I had a few chances to come before covid and loved the indoor atmosphere! We’ve been back twice post covid closures to check out their patio and so impressed. First of all both the lunch and dinner menus are unreal! Very unique and fresh dishes. The patio out front is super cozy && they also have a cool intimate patio in the back that seats 1 party I believe Up to 6 people. It’s built in with hanging plants and string lights - very cool vibe - I’ll share a few photos of the dishes we got to try the photos will speak for themselves !! The “sea-cuterie” is a must try .. thank me later ????????

If you're a foodie and enjoy cocktails or wine, this is your restaurant. My friends and I recently came here for my friend's birthday and it was the first time in a long time that I went to a restaurant because of COVID. I almost forgot what the restaurant experience was like. Well, Bon Temps was the perfect place to get reacquainted with that experience. The service, the ambiance, the food and the drinks were all perfection. Absolutely no complaints at all and we will definitely come back. I think it is our new favorite place to eat. Side note: I should comment on the COVID measures that were taken. Everyone working wore masks the entire time. There was plenty of hand sanitizer and we were the only four top table plus two top tables (so 8 people total in the restaurant). Everything was clean and we felt very safe.!
