Raw sea food lover? Never miss this place especially their happy hour offers. You're gonna have a great experience dancing with the oysters while being served respectfully. Don't forget to get the cognac though! Nothing compares to the freshness of the seafood which is the main reason I love Lot Six.

Beautiful venue and amazing cocktais. Patio, bar inside and atrium all get very busy and just a great overall vibe with awesome service. We enjoyed dinner one night however have heard mixed reviews as there tends to be a fair amount of transition in kitchen. Food was on point for us, great oysters and the cocktails are truly impeccable. Atrium inside is a must see.

I’ve been working away from my family for several weeks so I decided to book a few vacation days and surprise my wife for our anniversary. We’re usually so busy with work and kids that we don’t usually celebrate our anniversary. I decided that it was time to change that. I booked a hotel, did some research on restaurants in Halifax and decided on Lot Six as the place my wife and I could catch up and enjoy our anniversary. After all, Google describes it as “cozy” and the photos seemed to back it up. First off, I will say that the food was great. No issues. The issue I had was that we felt like we were at a night club. The music was loud and the other patrons in the restaurant were BEYOND loud! Everyone was yelling, laughing extremely loud, “wooing”, etc.. It was unbearable. My wife and I couldn’t even talk and we couldn’t hear what our waitress was saying. After we ordered, we wanted to leave and go somewhere else but we felt too bad that we already placed our order. At one point, I went to the washroom and just stayed in there a while just to escape the noise. Unfortunately, we had to sit there for 1 hour until our food arrived (thank god we ordered an appetizer). Instead of having a nice relaxing evening of food and drink, we ate as fast as we could and got out of there. Sadly we had to go to another establishment to get a few drinks and talk. I don’t know if this is the regular atmosphere; but it was one of the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. It was also a little disappointing to spend so much money for that kind of experience. In conclusion, if you’re looking for a romantic, relaxed, quiet atmosphere... you may want to reconsider this location.

We attended lot six last night for the 1920’s in Paris New Year’s Eve dinner and party.the dinner was tasty and quality ingredients were used but left a little to be desired portion wise as me and my friends are big eaters however for the price I would say it was fair.the staff were very attentive and accommodating and the venue was georgeous.good vibes all around.Thank you for the great time! We will be returning????

Super super sloooow... Food is OK but it is just too slow to get the food served. Maybe they are short staffed at night? We came at around 8pm, very hungry. We ordered mussels as starter, and two entrees. The mussels were served 35 minutes after the order, and the entrees did not arrive until 1 hour later. If you have plenty of time and not hungry, maybe this is the place for you. But to me, it is not a pleasant experience. I will not come here again! Toooooo sloooooow.

I was there recently for their burger week special. The burger patty is cooked perfectly, it kept the original flavour of the protein and great combination of the bacon jam, smoked Gouda and sriracha aioli. Service was awesome too! Reservation is recommended on busy nights, such as Friday.

For weeks, I had been trying to contact somebody to speak with about hosting my wedding at this restaurant. I emailed 3 times, called twice, and actually went in to see the venue and taste the food on my own. The manager was unable to see me due to an event happening, but our lovely waitress said she'd pass my name along and tell him to answer my emails. I never heard from him. My sister then emailed him and he got back to her right away, and that's the only reason I was able to receive any info about what an event at Lot 6 would entail. I loved the food and the service from our waitress was great, but as a venue for your event, maybe look elsewhere. Edit: just for the record, I checked my spam mail religiously while waiting for a reply and there is no email. I also called twice and left my phone number with the staff. I even went in person to speak to somebody to leave all my info in the hopes that would work. This is a strange and unsympathetic reply from Lot 6. I don't normally leave reviews, let alone bad ones, but this experience was so frustrating. I like the restaurant and the dining experience was great, but setting up an event has been nothing but difficult.

Waitress was friendly but new I think, tried to be helpful but not knowledgeable about food or cocktails. Food was ok but didn't wow. Mussels , salmon and sticky ribs were all enjoyed. Brisket and beans were salty and lacked any other flavors. Quinoa salad was slightly bitter and served cold with warm salmon on top - I didn't feel it was a good pairing. The potatoes cooked with duck fat would have been nice if not covered with salsa that tasted like spaghetti sauce. First round of cocktails were not up to my standards, however second round were top notch. I wouldn't deter anyone from going but recommend you judge your own experience.

The Atrium is stunning. The bar is well stocked and the wait staff are friendly and accommodating. I ordered the steak. It wasn’t the highest quality cut, but was cooked and served well. Lot Six is a place you should visit when you come to Halifax.

This is known for its cocktail bar and the beautiful atrium. Unfortunately the day we went, the atrium was closed for the night. We opt to give it a try anyways and was seated in the study room which was nice. We tried the dark and stormy and Moscow Mule. Both drinks were very tasty. We also ordered a dozen oysters and the smoked seafood platter. Unfortunately the oysters and smoked seafood plate was just okay. The oysters were not as fresh as the ones we had at Press Gang the night before and the seafood platter didn't have anything that stood out. We would come here for drinks again but just skip on the food next time.

I went here with a group of friends, the drinks were great, the waitress was very kind. BUT. We had ordered kimchi on our sandwich... the kimchi was just cabbage, carrots and bell peppers (???) that tasted as though they had been bathed soley in vinegar and ginger. Normally based on that alone I would give a restaurant another chance, but as we left two male servers proceeded to talk poorly about my friends and I loudly enough for us to hear from the street.

I always have the best time when I am here!! I’ve been here for brunch, dinner and late night drinks and every time I go I get an even better experience. The food is A+! I had the creamy pasta and well, I could have eaten two bowls to TBH!! The flavour and freshness of the vegetables was delicious. In the summer their brunch included bottomless mimosas so obviously this is the best and screams Toronto vibes, which I very much appreciate since many resto’s in Halifax are lacking innovation and excitement!! Although, I would suggest a daytime DJ so that it becomes a cooler experience!! The night vibes are awesome with bartenders slinging creative cocktails and the music is for the most part, on point! Highly recommend this spot for intimate dates, group gatherings and making new friends!

To be honest the views were a lot better than the food. The views were amazing but the food was a bit overrated. The sticky ribs were too sweet for my liking (but if you are into that, then more power to you), the apple something flatbread was also sweet (but expected). Overall it was ok just not amazing. Also, they don't have change tables for babies.

While this unique restaurant have one of the most amazing space ive seen in Canada, and a great selection of spirits and drinks. The food is quite terrible. Greasy, Blend, uninspired and certain plates (bacon battie) actually mediocre, stick to Mussels as a sure bet and nothing else. Love the Jazz, Love the Space. Get a new excited chef that will bring flavours and new ideas to this fantastic space

I've only been here for drinks, but will be returning for a full dining experience. The different areas are all pleasant (the upper street-level bar, the dining room, the atrium) with their own positive qualities. The bar staff is knowledgeable and helpful, which complements their impressive cocktail list perfectly. They may not have an exhaustive list written out, but given the amount of different alcohols available, they can make you pretty much anything.

Fantasic ambience beautiful interior,. Had the burger, it was 10/10. Surf and turf was so delicious, loved the scalloped potatoes pairing. Extensive drink selection, tried about 6 different drinks, handshake with a spy was my favorite. Service was impecible, one of the bar staff even noticed us wiping up some condensation on the table from the drinks, and immediatly brought another. Thoroughly enjoyed our experince, we will very likely be back for another meal on our week holiday in Halifax.

I've been told that Lot Six makes the best cocktails in Halifax and I believe it. Last time we were able to chat with the bartender and he's extremely knowledgeable. Charcuterie and appetizers are amazing. Had a full meal here just once and it was good but their strong suit is their drinks and small dishes. Fantastic atmosphere and great service too.

We were given what is undoubtedly the worst table in the restaurant! We were a table for 2, and they put us directly beside the toilets, this restroom area had no door separating it from the dining tables - we had a direct view of a toilet, and the constant blaring noise of the hand dryer was so loud. I lost my appetite. We asked for a different table and they sat us outside under a “heater” that didn’t provide any warmth. Food was fair but nothing great, wouldn’t recommend this place and we will not return.

Go for a drink and/or dinner in their atrium. Don't sit in the front, ask for the atrium. It is beautiful in there, a lush hidden space, the perfect spot to have a cocktail. Also had their oysters - they were good! Service is great.

We were the first to arrive for Saturday brunch, and I felt like we got star treatment. The restaurant itself is very unique and we sat under the glass ceiling. There were fresh flowers scattered about the room that made it feel like we were at a celebration. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. I had the lobster Benedict and bottomless mimosas, and she was quick with the refills. She was also helpful and pointing out some things to see around town. I wish we had another day in Halifax to eat here!

We didn't make a reservation so it did take a while to get in, we went for a walk on the beautiful waterfront and got a text when it was ready (quicker than expected wait time considering it was a Saturday night, we were happy). I love margaritas - with reservation, I decided to take to leap and ordered the Thai Chili Lemongrass Margarita (the server offered to make something else if i was unhappy with it). It was simply delicious - my only beef is that it was quite small for the price $15 so I only had one). We rdered the Wonton Nachos - so yummy!! In tradition of burger week, we had the Swimming Pig burger with pineapple relish and mac & cheese; great combination but a little messy to eat tho very delightfully flavorful. The server was amazing, pleasant, friendly and helpful. The host bringing us to our table was not so personable. Nice atmosphere, there was a birthday dinner at the next table so it was a little loud but I feel on a regular night, this could be a new favorite spot; cozy, fresh flowers and candles. We will definitely return. I can't wait to have another margarita!

My wife and I celebrated our 7th anniversary at Lot Six Restaurant. We enjoyed the great service, incredible food and nice ambience. We ordered the Crab Cakes with the Lobster a la cart, and the Eggs Benedict with Lobster. I also recommend the oysters as a starter. You won't be disappointed at Lot Six.

Very disappointed with the treatment of customers. We arrived at 5pm on a Thursday. Were told no seats available, we asked if we could make a reservation for when the dining are opened at 6:00, we’re told again they had no availability. Went to dinner at Chives, ate and had a couple of drinks. Came back to Lot Six at 6:45 to maybe have a drink at the bar and the place was still almost empty? What? Why would you send us away for no reason? We are regular diners and you have now lost a future customer forever. Why charge $16 for drinks but not accomdate dinner guests? We would have enjoyed drinks at the bar until a table became available. Wish I could attach a photo of this empty establishment Utterly disgraceful

We LOVED this place! My partner and I drove out from Sydney. We had been recommended we try various spots and Lot Six was the one we picked! It was a rainy evening but we wanted to sit outside. Originally we were told nobody was able to serve us outside but the young lady at door asked and they were able to accommodate our request! The patio is well covered so we didn't get wet. We had AMAZING cocktails that were custom made! Shout to Dan and Janice for making us absolutely delicious gin cocktails and for being awesome servers! Cocktails were perfectly balanced and creative. We had told Dan and Janice what we didn't like and they created the perfect drinks for us! We also ordered some oysters and fried foods. The oysters were so fresh! We'll definitely be returning, if Dan and Janice ever leave we'll follow them wherever!

The pork tacos are fantastic, Ilya the bartender is one of the friendliest faces and the city, and the location couldn't be better. We had the drink and appetizer pairings and there was legitimately a lot of thought that went into them, rather than a drink randomly thrown with a food item. This is always a fun place to come to. The atmosphere is great, especially if you get to eat downstairs where they have lights set up. We try to come for the happy hour where you can get a good selection of oysters and drinks. Their cocktails are funny and quite yummy though high in price. As for their mains, I have had some great meals here and some not so great. I find the meals are hit or miss but if you get a good meal it is great and worth the money. Their duck breast is great when they have it but the duck thighs are not. I would definitely suggest trying it out for their cocktails and oysters if you want a fun place to go with friends.

We had dinner in the atrium of Lot Six. The interior design was beautifull and is, itself, definitely a reason to visit this place. The service was well taken-cared for aswell. However, my girlfriend disliked the home-made buger. My spare-ribs with maple syrup were finger-licking good, though.

Just came for dessert. They had a really nice milk chocolate ice cream with chocolate fondue and pound cake and sage white chocolate truffle. The fondue was nice but not spectacular. The truffles were definitely interesting but perhaps a little too sweet - but that's white chocolate for you. The milk chocolate ice cream was surprisingly good. I found it odd that the word milk was in the description since it is ice cream after all but it definitely tasted like quality milk chocolate. Would love to come back for a meal. I loved the glass roof at the back.

I went here once, and had a great experience. But since then I have tried to make reservations 4 times, the first three dates I called they said they were closed for a private event... fair enough. The 4th time I called for about a week straight to book a reservation in advance for a special occasion. Every time I called they wouldn't even answer the phone. I'm starting to think my experience here was a figment of my imagination... I really hope they see this so they hire a staff that is capable of answering a phone so I can book reservations.. or that they take off the part on their website that says you can book reservations, because as of now it's totally false....

Lot Six is famous for cocktails and its beautiful ceiling. But the owners don't bother to keep the online hours up to date -- I was rudely told last call was over despite arriving hours before the posted closing time. It's also full of mice. If you hit it on a good day, the drinks are exceptional (if overpriced) and you may get some delightful live music if you're lucky. But I cannot give a good review, the bad greatly outweigh the good. Halifax has better places to offer within spitting distance of Lot Six.

They went out and poached some Men's Health models to bartend here. Warm and dark atmosphere, good selection of oysters, and interesting/unique cocktails. I haven't enjoyed food this much in a long time. The meals are mid range in price (18-25$), and the cocktails are pricey (12-ish dollars). The atmosphere is on the classier side. Their webpage says causal, and I was there in leggings and felt underdressed. It is more business casual. The food was fantastic and with the price and reservation. If you are looking to impress or for a special night, this is definitely the place.

I love oysters and they offer happy hour. I got 12 oysters for $20, it’s fresh and great quality. Nice high balls for $5. I loved mussels with bacons, creamy sauce. I’d definitely go there again :)

Did not have a good experience here. We had called 2 days prior to our reservation date to change the group from 6 to 10 people which they said was perfectly fine over the phone. When we arrived they told us the reservation was still only for 6 and they could not fit any more of us. We explained to the waitress that we had called 2 days before to have it changed and she very rudely told us it hadn’t been changed. This was clearly a mistake on their behalf and not ours, given the fact they had agreed to it over the phone. We then got moved outside to fit the whole group and the waitress again rudely brought up the fact that they didn’t receive the change which was still their problem and not ours. While putting tables together, she was very aggressively moving chairs and pinched my friends hand between 2 chair handles and didn’t offer any sort of apology. The food and drinks were good but service was very unpleasant.

Tasty but tiny. It's great that they have gone to such lengths to reopen with appropriate measures in place, and the staff are great, but the portions are exceptionally small, especially when you consider the price you're paying.

We heard so many good things about this restaurant so we decided to stop in. We ordered two burgers and were given the totally wrong burgers. We tried to flag down the waitress but she didn’t come over to check to make sure everything was ok until we were finished. We did eat them because we were hungry and didn’t have a choice. They said it was the kitchens mistake so they did take care of two drinks on our bill, which was a plus. Their drinks were also really great, that’s why we are giving two stars. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back anytime soon. Also, a tip for customers: don’t order the charcuterie board…. It’s full of pickled vegetables and is absolutely horrific lol

I went there last year (in 2015) and it was amazing! I went back this year and it was ok. We had a private room for a business event - which is not easy for service - and it was good. The appetizer (corn chowder) was rich and delicious. My steak was ok but overcooked and a little boring. No fish on our event menu; disappointing. Cocktail was good, but it was hard to have a drink and food. Service was OK. Place has a lot of charactere. Will give it another chance wheb I go back as! :-)

Came in later in the night for a couple of drinks and would definitely recommend Lot 6! Inside has a cool decor and all the staff was super welcoming. Had some wine and cocktails at the bar and the quality was definitely worth the price. Also saw that they have oyster happy hour from 4-6pm

Visiting from NL and was told to leave our number to wait for a table so went elsewhere for a drink. When we received a text, we replied 19 minutes later that we would be there and was told that was great “see you soon” was the reply. When we got to the location we were told we could not be seated because they have a 15 minute window. No where were we told There was a 15 minute window. We left our drinks at another place to go here and then we were told we could not have a table. When we politely talked to the manager trying to get a table, he told us to “leave a bad review and have a good night”. So here I am. As a business owner, if one of my staff told a customer to leave a bad reverie, they would not have a job the following day. So disappointed.

Waited 45 minutes for brunch for two, ordered eggs benny. It was good but i only got 14 pieces of potatoe, and then a bunch of salad that had 3 blueberries and 4 small slices of strawbery. Excellent service that you don't see too often. The server is very knowledgeable and attentive, friendly but not awkward. I had the sous vide pork chop and the doneness was perfect and flavorful although the steak knife was a little dull to cut... Drink was not too bad. Lovely atmosphere and service was great. Lobster and oyster dishes were delicious but my pork belly was overcooked and dry. Also potato was undercooked and beef cheek wasn't cleaned right. Overall good experience and nice place to grab few drinks and bite.

As our friends’ bachelorette approached, we had reserved a table of 8 at Lot 6, as we had heard it was the “place to visit” when visiting Halifax! The day of the bachelorette, we arrived at Lot 6 for our reservation and were eagerly seated at a comfortable table. One of our friends has a medical condition which was perceived by staff as being “intoxication” and we were told that we were not able to order alcohol because of the perceived condition she presented. We were not given the opportunity to explain, and lead to extreme embarrassment and sadness of this group member and eventually the group as a whole. We cannot believe she was discriminated on based on a medical condition. The server was cold, unfriendly and lacked empathy. We would NEVER recommend this establishment to any group, whether it be a bachelorette, family meal, date of friendly gathering. What a HORRIBLE experience!! Lot 6 is not a place you’d want to go when visiting Halifax!!!!!
