Very seldom do I rate a 5 star and Baton Rouge is a well earned exception. We dined here while on vacation after spending the previous week having the great local seafood everywhere else we went. Baton Rouge is not a cajun restaurant as it's name implies, rather it is a high end steak house without the high end prices. The meals that my wife and I had were cooked to perfection and came with generous helpings of fresh (and green) vegetables, something that we found to be uncommon everywhere else in the Maritimes. The building itself has a rich history with much of the original building that survived the explosion generating the historic character. The service was both personable and highly professional - on par with 5 star restaurants in NYC. We highly recommend dinner at Baton Rouge in Halifax.

My wife and I went to baton rouge for supper this evening and what a fabulous meal we had!!!... the calamari starter was amazing....very fresh and cooked to perfection....the main course I had was yellow fin tuna with thai sesame salad....my wife had the chipotle jack chicken with mashed potatoes....both were magnificent....so fresh...again cooked to perfection then we shared an absolutely delicious peanut butter fudge brownie cheese cake gluten free...then the service was the best we have had in s very long time....the entire experience this evening at baton rouge was nothing short of memorable. It will take something very special to top our experience tonight.

My husband and I visited for the first time last night. The wait staff was pretty good, friendly. Kept forgetting some things, but rushing on others. I had the ribs and he had the ribs and chicken. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone good, and the garlic mashed potatoes were great, but there was not enough, maybe an ice cream scoop full? Also it was a little weird being served a meal with no vegetables. The only unacceptable aspect of our visit was the scotch I had with dinner. I ordered the Glenfiddich 15yr old, 1.5 oz, neat. There was not 1.5 oz in that glass, which was very disappointing because of the price charged for it! I may visit again, but I will definitely not be ordering from the drink menu.

It’s been a couple of weeks since restaurants opened up post-Covid. When we entered the restaurant, none of the staff were wearing masks. When my dining companion inquired, the server said she would wear a mask if we wanted her to. Other than that, the service was decent if somewhat intrusive. My friend had a steak special which was a really good value at $25 including a large salad, a side and dessert. I had the seafood pasta which had a generous portion of scallops and shrimp but the pasta and sauce was rather bland.

I've been to 2 different Baton Rouge Locations and they never seem to let me down. This place has amazing food, Some might say the price is on the high side. However I think it's right on par with the quality of food and service you receive. I would totally recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food, service and a wonderful night out.

Nice restaurant. The food is good; however, it is over-priced for what it is. The high price is likely due to it's prime location near all the good local pubs. Be forwarned parking is extremely difficult to come by in that area during the day! At night (after 6pm) their are a few local streets with some free parking.

The food and service were amazing! My family and I came here after the Tattoo to eat and everything was perfect. We had a small hiccup with cold coffee but our waitress removed the three cups from our bill (which was not necessary and we were not expecting it). Incredible food and wonderful service! Do not recommend. The hostess was rude and automatically assumed I was picking up an order instead of greeting me. I felt discriminated. I ordered a BR trio, the ribs and the chicken was fairly good. The shrimp was amazing but the fries were horrible. It literally tasted like McDonalds fries. I was also supposed to get coleslaw but that was missing from my order.

I gave it one star because no stars was not an option. The food was little more than average and over-priced. The music was loud, then the live music started and it was even louder. The live music was so loud that it was difficult to have a conversation with the person sitting next to me. I asked our server if it would be possible to get the music turned down some. He checked on it and said they were working on getting it turned down. Several times he came back and said they are trying to get the music turned down still. No manager came over to address the issue and the volume was never turned down. Overall very disappointed. It was my first and potentially last visit.

I have to voice my disgust at this "restaurant" that keeps trying to sell Basa fillets as though this was some sought after fish on their menu as though people would never know better . Basa is a filter feeding fish , usually pulled out of the Mekong river in Vietnam ~One of the most polluted rivers in the world , and this restaurant is trying to market this plate as something special . food here was below mediocre , but .. but with a premium charge . They should change their name to Kamir Rouge, as they push sub- standard fish for human consumption as though it was some kind of delecacy

Always have a great meal here no matter what I choose but I do have a hard time not getting the ribs. Service is always excellent. Always enjoy stopping in here.... especially after a long work week, it is so relaxing. My partner and I come here at least once a month for dinner, and are never disappointed. The food and staff are amazing. This place makes you feel welcomed and appreciates your business. Their owners/managers are very hands on too, they care. We actually have a gift card for $100 for The Keg that we received as a gift four years ago that we have yet to use because we continually return to Bâton Rouge. My partner actually perfers the steak here in comparison to The Keg, he is in no hurry to use the gift card.

Place is just ok. Service is friendly but very slow, we had to wait for more than 5 minutes for someone to receive us and give us a seat. Food took a loooot to arrive and the flavor was not the best just plain ok. So if you ever come to Halifax please try this place just as last resource there are plenty of much better options here.

During my staff Christmas party I asked our waitress if the fries were gluten free....she said she didn't know...stared at me and told me to order something else...and actually said because I don't want you to die here and refused to ask the kitchen. Worse service I have experienced!!! Will never go back and will always tell people of my experience.

I got the steak asked for medium rare and they gave it to me well done not to mention my steak when it came was dry cold and bland. All my vegetables were cold the salad dressing was fishy. Food and service are always great. Prices a bit high, but the quality is super. Kids meal is a huge portion with desert. Easy to get a table and free parking on weekends not too far from there. Manager was also really friendly and accommodating. Would go there again for a celebration, but not somewhere affordable to eat very often. The waiter was fast and attentive, as was the rest of the staff there. Really nice decor inside, just a very good experience overall

For the price the food was definitely not worth it. Ending up spending $80 for 2 people and had to send the salmon Cesar salad back as the salmon was dry, bland and burnt. Steak salad was alright but not worth the money. Did not expect a high end restaurant to have that low quality food. Would definitely not come back.

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience last night at Baton Rouge (first bad experience there). First, we were told of an 18% service charge for 8+ party the day of although we made a reservation 5 days before and the hostess 'forgot' to mention that until dinner time came. Second, the tables that were set for us were meant for 4 people each, and they were planning to fit double the people on each table although we called and made a reservation days before for that reason. And yet, there was still an 18% service fee AND we were not told of this until the day of the party came (I cannot get over that). Third, food was HORRIBLE. Soup was cold, fried food was soggy and cold, steak was salty and flavourful, and the list goes on. Fourth, we brought a cake with us for a birthday and the waitress literally brought the cake without informing us at all. We were so caught off guard as we had no warning at all, we couldn't take a video or photos or even celebrate. Worst thing is .. we were literally rushed to pay and leave without even finishing our dinner/dessert/drinks. We were very disappointed.

We were there for about an hr and a half before we got our orders. They do validate parking because you have to use Purdys wharf parking. Not Worth it! Twice I’ve eaten here since it has opened and twice I’ve been disappointed! About the only two things this place has going for it is the nice staff and the location! The food is not good at all! First time I eat here I had the Ribs (signature dish, right!) taste like they’ve spent too much time in The freezer and and you can taste the old pork fat even after cooking. Second time I eat there, I had the Grill master sandwich. The rib meat was cold like it had just come out of the fridge and the chicken (while it was deep fried) it was cold as well. Not worth it at all!

Pricing is horribly expensive for what you get. My husband paid 29.00 for a piece of steak, fries that look like the ones they serve at Mac Donalds and a little cold slaw. That was my second time there. Only went because we has gift card. The first time was same thing also. Won't see me back there.

We used to eat there quite regularly from November 2018 to June 2019. They have a really nice staff, 3 of them speak French, and atmosphere is great. Ribs, chicken tenders, prime rib, soups, and their nachos are amazing. One of the best place to eat in Halifax.

The food was excellent, by far one of the best steaks I have ever eaten, I ordered the 10oz Filet Mignon and it came to $44.85 (tax included). My steak perfectly cooked (Well Done & Chicago), was not even dry and really tender. The staff is Excellent, our server Cora-Lynn was really friendly and smart, loved that she actually took the time to ask where we are from as she noticed our French accent and also gave us a few pointers on where to continue the night around town. Overall best food and best server I had in a while.

Upon arrival, we were well greeted and even complimented on how we looked. We were well seated and all was fine. The waitresses were decent and polite but just kept forgetting thing like ketchup (after asking for it), straw fir my drink and I had no utensils for my food. I ordered a New York strip loin steak...i wasn't impressed with it. Way too rich and burned. My wife was also not overly happy with her meal. It was our first date in a while and the food wasn't satisfactory. We expected better. Hence the 2 stars.

The food is very tastey. I ordered spinach chicken penne and it was so great. It is healthy, the portion is good, even the appetizers were very large. The atmosphere is suitable for dates or nice outings with friends. The prices may be more expensive than average but the quality is worth it. There are some vegiterian options and seafood.

It was our first time here, and the overall experience was ok. When we got there, it was super empty, but because we didn’t make the reservation so they let us wait for 10 mins. Not sure cuz they wanna make the restaurant more fancy so they set up a timer for us lol? The food was ok, the ribs and shrimp were super good, but the fries were like cheap frozen fries… I mean the dish is pricey, but they are very stingy about the quality and quantity of fries… There’s 2 tables next to us (but there were still pretty empty in the restaurant) were also complaining about this restaurant lol They even served the wrong dishes to the next table… And we also got the beer that wasn’t our order… (how do I know? Cuz it’s the 2nd round, we already got our beer for the first round) It was not a good experience… they wanna be a fancy restaurant but all the quality of food and service were not quite there.

Had ribs and seafood special. Sides came out cold, both of them. No catch of the day, which is ok if you didn't actually catch fish but it's just the small details. Interior is very nice, good service. They replaced the sides with no issue. Great place but just not firing on all cylinders.

We arrived on time for our 7:30pm reservation. When we walked in, we were told it would be a 20 minute wait despite the fact that we had a reservation. The food was excellent. I would highly recommend the ribs. The service on the other hand was okay but certainly not great, especially given the fact that the bill was north of $100 for only my wife and I. I would have expected better to say the least. Having said all of that, it was my first experience there and I will likely try it again before I write it off entirely. (If it wasn’t for the food, I’ve have rated it significantly lower, and wouldn’t consider returning.)

I give them a 3 star rating because the staff were nice and the food was alright, however the prices for some of their sandwiches and side dishes cannot be justified. More specifically, the issue I had was that the "cheesy dip" and the gnocchi Mac and cheese, which were essentially the same thing. They are using a basic cheese sauce and adding a bit of garlic to the gnocchi as the only difference. Furthermore, the cheese sauce was not terribly... cheesy. It was more like a soup that was reminiscent of cheese. The seasonal pork sandwich was very good and the beef au jus was addequite.

Recently went here with a group of friends on our final night visiting Nova Scotia. Had a server that was absolutely dreadful. He was rude, unattentive, and the worst server we collectively have ever encountered anywhere in the world. One of us at the table asked if they had potato skins he could order as an appetizer and this waiter's response was "No, but Boston Pizza might" and he walked away. This was only one of the several rude remarks that he made. If this review could make the difference of getting this employee retrained or fired, then I will feel happy for the company.

I was out to eat for a family dinner on Saturday September 18th. Our waitress was named Ellen, I remember she mentioned that she was part time I think. Anyways this would be my second time being at Baton Rouge & my experience was terrible. We had a reservation & everything was okay. We had a reservation & last minute a few couldn’t make because of work. We end up downsizing to a table so the restaurant could use the table for another party. Ellen was fine with that & another party end up coming. With COVID-19 happening right now I would thought they would have clean the table when we all moved to the same table but unfortunately they did not. Even though we didn’t drink the water on the table, they weren’t replaced & used for the next party that came in. I know it was busy evening because it’s a Saturday so we were that worried about our waitress not checking up on us a lot but I will say it was very little. When this other party showed up she was at their table very often & was barely check on the table next to them (which was my table.) it got very annoying especially when we wanted to order, it like she forgot all about us. Eventually we order our appetizers & then our mains and a few drinks. I cannot speak for rest of my family who go their food but when I got my food, it was on the break of being cold, very lukewarm I guess you could say. I’m not the type to complain & neither is my family. I know they were very upset about not getting waited on more then the table next to us especially since we were there before them. Because it was a book reservation the tip was already added onto our order. I’m not the one to complain about a price of my order but for my experience, waiting around & my food being basically cold it honestly In my opinion worth the price. I tried calling about it twice but no one had the time for me.

I was quite disappointed when my plate came out, and although a good portion it was shoe string fries. First time trying french onion soup...it was made with beer...so I really don't have anything to compare it to but it was good....the ribs were fall off the bone amazing..so yummy...the coleslaw was very good .. fries that came with were just that fries... shoestring but seasoned nice.....it was the -30 special they offer..and it was very good. It took a long time to come out but we found out why they had burnt the first round of soup and wouldn't send that out to us..that was excellent of them .. I believe the restaurant manager came out to explain that to us...so nice of them...so they made us new batch....kudos to you guys. I was impressed with service and food...way to go Baton Rouge.

We went out for a birthday dinner, and we got the calamari appetizer, 20oz steak dinner and the linguine primavera with chicken. All we can say is WOW! The knife went through the steak like Cajun butter it came with, and was amazing. The linguine was done perfectly and included an amazing assortment of veggies. The calamari was some of the best we'd ever had. The portions were huge, our server Donna was friendly and always on time, but not hovering. And yes, this restaurant isn't cheap, but it's much more reasonably priced than other big-name steakhouses in the area. And oh, the homemade cookie at the end was to die for! We'd highly recommend this place!!

My daughters made reservations for August 2nd, 2021 and were excited for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. We were expecting some type of special evening but were disappointed with the service (slow to acknowledge our presence as the server said they were very busy although looking around, not a large crowd. A second server needed to provide us with utensils as our server kept going by and appeared absent minded.) You would think that this occasion would elicit some type of recognition but no, the server said "Congrats, we seated you at the "special table"", big deal. A complimentary dessert or something, but nothing. For a bill in excess of $200 you would expect more. Sad situation Baton Rouge. I have been to your restaurant in Montreal, no comparison sad to say.

It can all depend on the service that day or if the product was a little off. I've always had good experiences with Baton Rogue. I was drawn in one day by a blown over sign in their front area showing lunch specials. Full rack of bbq pork back ribs and a good portion of shoe string seasoned fries for just $10. (Must eat in on Friday for this one, between 11am and 4pm). Absolutely to die for. Their signature potato bacon soup is nice and thick with lots of smoked bacon bits on the top and half melted cheddar throughout. Soo good! I had this amazing dark chocolate cake one day for desert which is now sadly gone. It was the perfect richness, just mildly sweet. I tried one of their new desserts, a peanut butter fudge type cheesecake which was very good and sure to please. But the cake was a fav. I'll have to try the cobbler next. Their lunch menu has some new items, including beer battered fish & chips on Tuesday. But I may come back inside for the devil burger I keep hearing about or the steaks which is what I think they are most famous for! Their ribs are fall off the bone tender. You'll be amazed at the special for just $10. I would close by saying the sweet potato fries are very much worth a try. I'm normally not a fan of sweet potato and avoid it. But Baton Rogue's are so perfectly seasoned and so crispy that you'll find them addicting! They are accompanied by a chipotle mayo which has just a gentle kick to it but not too much. Its so full of flavor and I'm thinking it must be house made.

We, a group of 9, were two nights in a row in Steakhouse Baton Rouge, Halifax, Canada. We all had different dishes but we all came to the same conclusion; AWESOME!!. To grade my own dish in respect of the first and second night; Tenderloin; as tender as butter being cut with a hot knife, the taste: indescribably. Spare ribs: Tender and sliding of the bone like melting snow. And the taste is as the Tenderloine; indescribably. And last but for sure not the least: the staff. Each and every one of them friendly and handling orders full speed and most important.....with a smile!! IF, we ever come back (from Europe) then I know where my first stop for dinner will be: Steakhouse Baton Rouge, Halifax, Canada.

If you enjoy shoe leather and reading blogs while you wait for service, this is the place for you! I've been twice and both times have been a joke. Four steaks ordered. 3 were great but one was well done. When asking the server my friend was looked at with a "who cares" attitude. On telling the hostess and manager we were told "oh your server would have fixed that" due to it being busy she just brushed us off. My friend and I went Saturday night. due to being placed in the same area as a stagette. We waited 30 minutes for a drink. On getting up to leave, the same awesome manager attempted to roll out the red carpet "oh we would love to have you for dinner" No, we don't enjoy having our kiesters kissed after we get forgotten. I heard the bicycle thief is better, so we will be checking that out from now on. Steer clear of this place if you see more than 20 people in the establishment as they cant seem to deal with more than that at one time.

I don’t usually write reviews but I need to write this one. I’m from Maine and I was absolutely dumbfounded by how much I paid for this meal. I am a foodie by every sense of the word and I dine at Michelin star restaurants as well as little hole in the wall, hidden gems... point being, I trust my palate. I ordered the ribeye and side vegetable which came out as a thin, tough steak (though they did cook it medium rare as I asked) the vegetables were a teeny ramekin of a cauliflower, broccoli, carrot and peppers mix which tasted like it came from a frozen veg mix. (The peppers made the mix quite bitter) I also ordered a side Caesar which came out in a tiny bowl (bad idea because it’s hard to eat without it falling out of the sides) and the croutons were stale. I actually had to remove them because they were so stale. They forgot my salad which I asked to be served prior to the meal and we were one of only 3 small top tables being served. My boyfriend ordered his steak with a baked potato which was literally just a piece of meat and a potato on a plate. We did not drink alcohol, in fact, we each had only one juice and the bill was a little mind blowing for what we got. I mean, I will pay for good food but seriously, if I can do miles better in my own kitchen and you charge me that much for some meat and a couple of ramekins with veg and stale croutons, we have a problem. I want to point out that I don’t write negative reviews... it’s just not my style. This was so disappointing that I crawled out from beneath my policy of not writing negatives just so I could let the owner know this. I own businesses myself (not restaurants) and would 1000% want to know if this stuff was happening at my establishments. I see good reviews so I feel this might be a case of the mice playing while the boss is away? I don’t honestly know... but I would be displeased as a business owner.

Came here with my Girlfriend to celebrate our third year anniversary. Honestly I wasnt impressed for a $39 steak called their "Rib steak" I asked for a medium rare I'd say it was a rare/medium rare the fat wasnt rendered all the way and I feel as though when you buy quality you should get quality but it missed the mark at least it was 16oz so it took the sting away a bit for me. My girlfriend wasnt impressed with her $29 seafood linguine she only had 3 shrimp and 3 scallops pretty pricey for what you get she knew a few places that were better and almost a third of the price. Overall I was a bit upset to pay those high prices for mediocre food.

Food was amazing! The portion sizes were on the larger size and a takeout box was definitely necessary. The service was excellent, our server was extremely knowledgeable about both the regular menu and the local variety of beers they had on tap. They were following all of the proper social distancing guidelines and have introduced QR code menus that you scan with your smartphone to view their menu. They do still have regular menus on request. Overall an excellent experience and definitely a place everyone should visit.

I tried the ribs...they were delicious. The wait tohave a server come to our table was ridiculously long - about 30 mins. That was just to get. Drinks offered. Then we had to wait again to get out order. Other wait staff walking by multiple times, however, not addressing the fact that we were sitting there waiting a lot longer then other tables that came after us. If we had not had a client out for supper with us, we would have left. Not the best welcome to Halifax for our client from BC.

Liam, our waiter, was awesome! We went for lunch, and it was incredibly busy. Or group was 11 people, but Liam was very attentive. I have an intolerance to onions, and Liam took it very seriously. The food was great, the drink options were great, and the service was a+.

Really lovely spot to go to, the atmosphere is very chill and great vibes. Staff was friendly, and on the ball with service. Food came quick, and hot. We had the beef bites, which were very yummy, tender and lots of flavour. The spinach dip was good, very different, little bit of a tang! We both had the fried chicken, rib burger was good, very different and unique, wouldn’t be what I would get again but 100% will be getting a steak next time! Over all 4/5 star!

They had a 3 course dinner special for $25 with a steak, which was a good price. Cesar salad dressing was more of a vinaigrette than creamy. Got the garlic mashed potatoes which was my FAVORITE. Ordered a side of onions that costed $8!!! NOT worth it. Dessert was a brownie with ice cream which was good but no consistency with size. Pretty expensive meal that was just okay. Probably won't be back.

Had dinner here on Saturday evening, pathetic experience. Will never visit again. Have come here before a lot of times for just a beer and was the first time I was eating dinner and will certainly not make that mistake again. The server was extremely rude and had a big problem taking our order. We thought it was because we were the only brown people there and we're spoken to rudely unnecessarily. Even when we requested for him not to serve our table no one bothered to anything about it or our complaint. But the food was good. Management pathetic, whoever reads this, we will encourage you to visit some other place, there are plenty of other nice places to eat in Halifax where they know how to treat people.

Probably one of the best deals in town if your paying for parking in downtown Halifax. We went for the $10 lunch on Saturday which consists of a grill cheese sandwich and soup. It's hard to mess up a grill cheese sandwich, which was fine, but the soup was pretty bland, just some boiled vegetables in a watery broth. luckily the soup changes every week, so your experience may be different. I also had a Caesar, which again was fine but I wouldn't go out of my way for drinks there. What's fantastic about this deal is they provide free parking at Purdy's wharf in downtown Halifax which you can stay at for the entire day. Where else can you get free parking and a decent meal for $10! In the end I'd say the food was average, with the soup being below average, I'd give it 2 stars, but the fact there's free parking is GREAT value which ups this to a 3 star review. If your paying for parking in the downtown area I'd suggest you get a decent meal and have your parking payed for! They provide free parking at Purdy's wharf, all you have to do is ask your server for a parking slip!Remember to keep your original parking slip as you will need them both to exit. You can take the pedway from the parking garage to the Marriott hotel and just walk across the street to Baton Rouge. This is offered every day of the week if your eating there!

High end food. Had the oscar, the lobster poutine, lobster stuffed mushrooms and calamari, and all of which were exceptional. Interiour decore is well kept and adds to the atmosphere. Serving staff is attentive. Expect to pay a considerable amount. However, the cost of admission is well worth it.

I just ordered the New York Sirloin Steak with fries, the fries weren’t bad, but there was no seasoning on the steak and the steak was tuff. I expected better given the price you have to pay and given what I heard about your restaurant and steaks I’ve tried elsewhere.

Do yourself a favour and try the lunch specials. I was there on a Friday and had the ribs for 10$. It came with a HUGE side of fries, and it was a full rack of ribs. The food was really good, and there was a decent selection for drinks. We ate on the patio, which was a little noisy from the traffic, but a great spot otherwise. The servers were also super friendly. I've also been for dinner a few times, and the food was good then too.

We have been ordering here for years now, used to be one of our fav restaurants in Halifax, however we ordered from Uber Eats tonight and were hugely disappointed with one of the orders. For a price of $24 + tax, the power bowl with the Atlantic Salmon we received was a big joke. I was honestly furious when I received the food. List of ingredient says: Served with a rice base, julienned carrots, cucumber slices, roasted edamames, avocado, sriracha mayonnaise, and roasted sesame seeds. FYI see the attached picture. The Edamames were NOT roasted, the rice was mushy, roasted sesame seeds were missing and it would be great if you could specify on the order that the Salmon is served raw. The name is Power Bowl and not Poke Bowl; this is very misleading. We usually love your food but tonight we were extremely disheartened by the quality of one of the dishes we received.For a price of $24 + tax, we expected better, A LOT better.

Absolutely fantastic place. Went here for my birthday, and due to medical reasons I cannot drink, so they offered me a mocktail on the house, and even gave us a free dessert with a candle. Service was the best I have ever experienced, everyone seemed happy to be there, and any mistakes were very very quickly sorted. The food was also amazing, the loaded baked potato is amazing, the steak was perfectly cooked and delicious, fries were gorgeous I can't recommend this place enough, I truly can't. Go here for a fantastic experience, which outclasses the rest in both service and price.

We recently went to Baton Rouge before a show at the Casino NS. Staff were excellent so I really hate to write a negative post but our bill was too high for what we got. Salads should not be $19. It was mixed greens in a bowl with whatever topping you choose. My husbands was processed chicken with peanut sauce and mine deep fried chicken pieces that were soggy. Way too expensive for a salad. Atmosphere was nice and like I said, staff were very friendly but the menu prices are ridiculous. I don’t mind paying for good food but these salads were a fail.

Excellent steakhouse. Also serves seafood and ribs. Found in an old stone warehouse that was used a couple of centuries ago for importing teas (Morse's Teas). Wonderful atmosphere with vintage photos of Halifax on all the walls. Staff are excellent.

I ordered a burger from here once before and it was immaculate. However I just ordered the prime rib sandwich and another burg from my partner, unfortunately we both were unsatisfied with our meals. My partners burg was burnt - so his bites went crunch, I felt bad because I recommend it to him(love when that happens lol) and my prime rib was so salty. So far it’s hit or miss for take out. Not sure how dine is, and I’m not oppose to trying it out either.

Clean and inviting atmosphere,friendly,knowledgeable staff and amazing food every single time UNTIL this time!!!! What a huge disappointment that Bâton Rouge on the Halifax Nova Scotia waterfront took Crab cakes AND shrimp cocktail off of the menu!!! I mean Really??? Come on corporate we are Atlantic Canada here!!! SEAFOOD,OCEAN, Hello!! This is what we love here,we took friends and allll the way there to the restaurant talked everyone into crab cakes and shrimp cocktails because that is Nova Scotia that is what we love but to our disappointment they were taken from the menu ..... Very disappointing to know corporate can’t wrap there head around something that makes total sense in Halifax Nova Scotia!!! Pull your head out corporate!!!bring back what we love as Nova Scotians and separate the Toronto and other Bâton Rouge menus from ours......

I went to this restaurant while I was on my vacation in Halifax! What a great experience! I had a New York striploin! Melted like butter cooked to perfection with steaming hot veggies, that were cooked perfectly. The service was 5 stars! I'll be asking for Laura to look after us on our next visit!

Very disappointing. Tuesday eveining. Everyone’s meal was cold ...3 rib dishes cold, potato cold, salad as substitute of fries was a small cup hardly any dressing and croutons. Paid $4 extra for a cup of romaine! Steak was cold and incorrect ...came back barely warm with crumbled blue cheese on the side???!! Suppose to be Panko crusted blues cheese? No panko! 1st and last time there. Horrible and way over priced

I ordered the seafood chowder and my husband had the patatoe soup - we end up trading becuase he found the soup to thick. I loved both. We both had prime rib - my came with smoky mashed patatoes. For dessert we both had the chocolate cake. This was the Sunday prime rib special which was only 25.00 each.

I actually have eaten here 4x in 2 weeks. My biggest gripe is that most restaurants here don't do a "Jumbo Lump Crab Cake,"The calamari is good, the ribs are, to my surprise, really good, the twin lobster tails are decent, but better than the other places I've been to since I've been here, but the broccoli is AMAZING!!! I don't know how they cook it, but I actually went back just for the broccoli. Now before you say of all the menu selections, the best thing is a vegetable, but trust me, it's just that good and I absolutely hate broccoli.

My boyfriend and I went here on a date & the food and service was amazing. He had salad & ribs & gluten free cheesecake. The cheesecake was incredible! I had lobster stuffed mushrooms (delicious) a sandwich & the crème brûle trio, sadly my dessert was not good at all & my red sangria was lacking. But the overall experience and food was amazing & we will definitely be back again!
