I've normally had really good experiences with food here but I'm honestly really surprised and a little dissapointed. Our food arrived an hour late. We were told they didn't see our order when we placed it but it honestly tastes and feels like its been sitting under a heat lamp. The mozza sticks, deep friend pepperoni and mac and cheese bites are all cold. The nachos, poutine and croutons in the salad are super soggy. The bread with the chicken was hard as a rock. It doesnt feel like it was made and sat on the drive over. Its kind of a let down.

It took over an hour for my food to come it. The meatball sub that I ordered tasted like the sauce had been sitting out all day. The more I ate it the worst it tasted. I called back to let them know there was little to know cheese on it. Not only was I given a speech on how they "measure every sub" but assured that something I wasn't seeing was there. .5 stars if I could.

<3 Alexandra's. In the... 2000s-ish, I was a bachelor for a year, and I lived entirely on their "Mediterranean" (that is, Greek) pizza. I would order a large just before leaving work, pick it up (at Queen Street) have... several slices for supper, more for breakfast, and take the remainder to work for lunch with a Diet Coke. Every day. For a year. It is delicious and I never got tired of it, I still order it from them when I can.

I was in hospital as a patient, I ordered pizzas for all the nurses to show my gratitude for all the extra things they do. The pizzas arrived hot, and tasty. The quality of ingredience was great, the crust was cooked to perfection. This had to have been some of the best pizzas i've ever had.

Honestly this place has been pretty inconsistant for the last few months. My boyfriend works backshift and depends on their food and they CONSTANTLY now mess up our order, and insinuate that I am in the wrong when I’m delivered food that I haven’t even ordered or isn’t right at all. I order from here regularly for him and it’s ridiculous how they cannot just CONFIRM AND ORDER with someone before hanging up, so that person and them know exactly what’s being made/delivered. And to top it all off, I’ve gotten 3 desperate occasions where I’ve found hair in my food...... This is not a place that should be in business if they’re going to conduct themselves like that. It’s honestly gross as hell.

Take my advice and order from Randy's or Johnny K's, or a different Alexandra's, just don't buy donairs from this place anymore. Been ordering from this location since it opened and they've changed a lot. The pizza is still decent, the location is great, but this definitely isn't anywhere near the best Alexandra's in the province. Their donairs have gotten bad here, Instead of trimming the donair kebab before they make your order, they put the old overcooked and chewy meat on the outside of the skewer into peoples orders, so instead of the meat being tender and edible, you get overcooked donair jerky with sauce in a pita. When you include that old meat, it also has overcooked spices, and tastes horrible. Plus the last 2 times I've ordered, I asked them to hold the veg and I still got tomatoes.

I haven't ordered in along time, tho if I am in the neighbourhood I do go for slices there. The food is good, I did have issues a few times with deliveries, but things can happen if they are busy. So I can not knock them for that. One of the times, they forgot us, so I didn't loose cash on it. Anyways, the food is good.

Pizza tastes great, but not as before! But still one of the best in Halifax. Ordering anything rather than Pizza takes a little long, but its finger garlic is definitely worth it!

This place used to be amazing You literally are better off having a crack head run to sobeys for you.(quality and service the same ) I waited 1.5 hrs a cold pizza uncooked garlic fingers and a Donair half forgotten with More onions (specifically requested no onion) than meat. I called immediately to complain. And was told I could get 10 percent off next order . Awesome .

I usually get the Clubhouse sandwich and really enjoy it. But this place is going downhill. Ordered my usual order tonight and got soggy fries, burnt bread on my sandwich, and meat full of cartilage. Won't be ordering anytime soon.

If your going to this place to get anything but a slice of pizza after many drinks, dont go. Dont go in and get wings u moron, you are in halifax better poutine and wings can be found elsewhere. Its a pizza place. Get pizza. I personally like pizza thats been in a warmer. Its not super soggy or moist. Idk what it is. I just love it. So get that. Stop being stupid and waiting for something sub-par to what you're used to.

Not bad but overall the service from the staff is lacking. I'm not sure what it's like at busier times of the day but there's never much selection and staff always seem irritated. Good pizza but overall it could use some work.

Two stars because this was the first disappointment from this place. I waited for my pizza for 1 and half hour that too nearby. I don't really mind waiting but when I called after an hour and they didn't even have the courtesy to say they were busy and it will take some more time. Worst thing was the pizza didn't taste that good. I have had pizza hundreds of time from Alexandra's and this is the first time I am so disappointed.

Horrible. The service was bad, the workers were unfriendly. The food took an hour to be delivered (1 km away) and when it got here the delivery guy was rude and rushed, and the food was COMPLETELY raw. At least now I know to never eat from there again I guess :)

Ordered during the middle of the day so no excuse for being busy. Both pizza and garlic fingers were overcooked and hard. The crust was not crusty and had more of a plastic texture. Flavour was not bad which is the only thing that got it that extra star, but the pizza was too greasy. Donair sauce was like water but had good flavour.

Used to be good 10 years ago. Recently ordered a medium pizza and 2 donair egg rolls and they charged me $40????? The food arrived in an hour, the pizza was really bad and sweet? And the donair egg rolls were so dry they were thrown out. Friends ordered from Alexandra’s and got a salad with the core of the lettuce. I will never order from here ever again.

Grafton St. Location review - The location was formerly Tony's, and before it a Pizza Pizza. Walking in to the joint, you wouldn't know there was a change if it weren't for the signage outside. I rated the Tony's Pizza a 1-Star. Alexandra's as it is, is far from perfect, but also far from a 1-Star review. I want to give it a 4, but than I would be putting it up there just under my favorite pizza. Before I go on about the food. I feel like I need to offer a base line review. I don't like gourmet pizza. You want that, go to Bramosso on Quinpool... You'll love it. My idea of a 5-Star pizza slize, is a thick end crust, with a thin base, topped with lots of gooey pizza mozzerella, and your pep under the cheese. I like it a little greasier, but uh, it is pizza and I am not eating it to shed a few pounds. In short, I like old-school neopolitan style pizza (complete with a wood oven). So giving it a 4-Star says that it is close to that, and it aint. HOWEVER And this is a BIG however. When it comes to downtown offerings, Alexandras beats them every time. Alexandras has a distinct crust and flavor profile in its sauce that you could take a pepsi challenge with any time and pick out of a line-up. The reason for that is the quality of ingredients. Tony's was like eating cardboard, topped with paper and it was always iffy if you were getting a slice, how long it was left standing, and how many times it heated back up before being put back in to the stand. Alexandra's has been consistantly fresh since opening the location. Their cheese game is on point. Their toplings are on another level from everything else downtown. Their sauce is tangy with just a little bit of sweetness (the way a traditional pizza sauce should be), and compliments their thick crust very well. It isn't dripping with grease either, which is a bonus if thats your thing. Honestly, if I just described your ideal pizza, feel free to add another star on to it and take it from there. This location is also 4 doors removed from The Roxbury Urban Dive Bar, which offers full meals for $5. So how much doesa slice cost at Alexandra's $5... I am always in the area, and if you go to my reviews you will see that I gave Roxbury a 5-Star Review. They have great food. The fact that I would pay the same price for a slice of pizza should be testament to quality. Go to Alexandras if you are downtown for the night and need a slice. Yeah sometimes there is a wait. But if the food is good, you don't mind waiting for it. And with Alexandras, you aren't going to mind.

Ordered donair poutine from them through UberEats, but it doesn't come with donair sauce. Asked them to put on donair sauce and they charged me 4$ extra, which is usually free when you ask in store. When I asked if they could cancel, they asked me to do it through UberEats. I was hungry and thought of just paying for it, so I didn't cancel. However when the driver got there, they hadn't prepared the food because I asked about cancellation.

Worst experience out of all the restaurants i ate in Halifax, pizza crust is soft but not able to find the five toppings which we ordered. Pizza tasted so salty but there is no salt in chicken wings. Chicken wings is definitely not a recommended dish to have here.

Placed an order online over an hour ago, called to ask if it was on its way just to find out they "never received our order." We got an email saying, "Thank you for your order." Also never been too impressed with the food but it's close by, won't be buying from here anymore though. Pro tip: don't eat any meat from here unless you have nothing planned, it gives you the sh*ts for a full day. Overall: just avoid here.

This is quite honestly the worst service I’ve ever received. I placed an order for delivery and it took nearly three hours for it to be delivered. I requested they call upon arrival and they ignored my request entirely. Not to mention the staff that didn’t seem to care in least after an hour and a half of waiting. The food was absolutely subpar and overpriced for what it is. Would absolutely not recommend, the quality compared to what it was years ago is absolutely terrible.

Every time I order off of their website instead of skip the dishes I end up waiting three hours for my pizza. One time the delivery guy tried to tell me "the printer was broken" so they just didn't receive me order. Never ever go to this place..service is worst. I ordered chicken shewerima, the cashier just threw the wrap on the table. When i touched it was so cold. I took it to my home heated for about a minute and started to eat now the even most worst part, the chicken was hard as rock. I threw whole wrap in the garbage.

Delivery was slow and unapologetic for getting the order wrong (making off with a pretty tip which I had originally been happy to give before noticing they had forgotten one of my orders- to which I deeply regret). Furthermore, it was extremely overpriced for their chicken wings which were tiny and hardly had any meat on them! Definitely a disappointing experience with Alexandra's Pizza.

We are here from Pei for surgery and this place was recommended to us we are staying at the Lord Nelson Hotel and Suites by the young man at the desk we were late getting in and hungry so we called for a delivery and we were blown away by the service the delivery and the pizza so next day we had bacon cheeseburger and fries and holy cow it was amazing as were their subs and club sandwiches were here for 4 days and this was the only place that we called it was prompt service and I found out there is one in Charlottetown too can’t wait to try it there and even our delivery guy was sweet enough to ask how my surgery went thank you to you all for making our stay so much easier during COVID times and highly recommend this place

I'm not one to ever leave a review or complain publicly but.. I felt it was needed since this was quite a bad experience. I ordered a hamburger, garlic fingers and a salad. The burger looked like it was cookie cutted out of packaged ground beef, all stringy like and not mixed up, no flavor or spices, the garlic fingers had no flavor, the cheese a bit overcooked and overall very dry, only thing edible was the salad. Never in my life have I gotten a burger that looked like that, like there was no effot put into it. I was going to leave a picture but couldnt figure out how.

Staying at a hotel and ordered a pizza. Called this place back after it was over an hour receiving nothing. They said they came already, but delivery driver was calling the wrong phone number that they copied down incorrectly. They resold the pizza so advised it would be another hour to bring a new one. I cancelled. Only a pizza business can get away with this level of incompetence.

Only rating 1 star cause i cant rate 0. Orderded 2 slices and some beer coming to 104 dollers and only ordered to 20 meters away and it took a litteral hour to get to i repete 20 METERS AWAY. Will not be wasting my money there any more. On top of this my gf is the review underneath mine and the havent vot any better in the YEAR that that last one was written as i was there for that too. Not even worth stoping there. Go to litterally anyone else.

The price of a shawarma today at Alexandra's was 11.15 +tax. I was pretty surprised so asked if this was a mistake, and was told no. I thought, well, this should be one amazing shawarma, since it's 1.5x the price of one of Ray's fine, fine shawarmas. Nope. Worst I've ever had. No choice of ingredients - only chicken, lettuce, and tomato, and a bland garlic sauce. Less than remarkable at a ridiculous price. What are they thinking?

Really good pizza and garlic fingers. They definitely nail a lot of things regarding the food and it's quality. The people who work there are always very nice. My only complaint is that it often takes a very long time for my orders to come when I order for delivery. I don't know if they are just very busy but it's oftentimes the case that they take much longer than most competing pizza chains in Halifax. Maybe take-out is the better option overall...

I ordered a pizza for delivery. The guys said the pizza would be delivered in 40 minutes and when I called them they kept on delaying it. The delivery guy was rude and told me thats how they do it.

Completely agree with Tim's comments. The woman working at the counter is rude and unprofessional. On one recent visit I called in an order and when I went to pick it up she had no record of the order and no explanation. I've never gone back. Besides, the pizza is not great.

This is a great spot to go grab some food, the employees are amazing and kind! its a clean place! I recommend anyone to go here! always deliver hot pizza! I can get a big slice of pizza and a big glass of beer for under 10$!
