We LOVE the chicken shawarma wraps from Retour Bistro. It's our go-to when we want something cheap, easy and so freakin' delicious for dinner. We ordered 2 to-go last night, and even though they were unexpectedly SUPER busy, they still managed to produce delicious wraps without much of a wait time. The young man at the cash is always super friendly, and the owners are really nice too. Looking forward to eating on the new patio next time!

We have been thinking about checking out this place ever since they opened, and finally did so. I am surprised we took so long to put this restaurant in our "support local / Support Small business" list, but it is now officially making its way into our regular rotation. We ordered two meals - Tawook plate, and the Kafta Plate. Both came with salad, and sides and everything were very plentiful. The food has excellent flavour profiles with lots of seasonings and spices. The flavours are so good. I couldn't finish my meal because there was so much. We ordered over the phone and picked up our order to ensure we did a minimal contact transaction. The people were very nice and friendly. The transaction was very uneventful and smooth. Since the Covid-19 pandemic started, we have made more substantial efforts to take out orders from local restaurants, specifically SMALL, family-run businesses, to help do our part to support these small businesses during tough times. Roguetrippers typically order take out once but sometimes twice a week. We avoid using any food delivery companies to ensure that the money goes back to the restaurant, and no commissions to the delivery company. Retour Bistro in Guelph is a fantastic place to grab a meal. Amazing food, great options, small business, and great people. We will be ordering from Retour Bistro many more times in the future. the above review is from our first visit, We have ordered again and had the Half Family Meal which is amazing and so much food.

Amazing joint. Consistently fresh, delicious, and authentic food, and frendly, knowledgeable staff. Their vegan menu is an impressive 2 pages long, including Lebanese food, pizza, and burgers. The prices are extremely fair and the wait is never long. Good beer selection too. Also they play lo-fi hip hop beats. You don't get enough of that.

We used to drive all the way to Milton to get Donaire, but then a friend told me about Retour Bistro also making donaire. I dropped by around 7 on a Saturday, it wasn't busy and my food was ready fast. It was So delicious. I kind of feel like calling the place in Milton and apologizing, but Retour has such a tasty verison. I'm a bit mad for donaire, so it may be a while before I try anything else on the menu, but if it's any where close it'll be amazing.

I had the shawarma wrap with fries - and it was sooooo good! The sandwich was very neat!y wrapped and didn't fall apart leaving a mess, like some places. The fries combined with their garlic sauce simply melt in your mouth. Gotta go back!

Great Lebanese food... My daughter and I had the Kebeh and it was so juicy inside and delicious plus it came with a small but unexpected serving of hummus. Plus we had the maneesh with savoury beef and cheese... Never had it so good before. These owners know how to make premium Lebanon favourites! Bringing the wife back next time!

During this time of Covid, I felt super comfortable walking in. They have spacing everywhere, for customers to wait. The customer service was fantastic. The gentleman I spoke with said he likes to ensure a customer's food is as fresh as possible, which is why my earliness had me wait for my food, for the time I said I'd pick up at which was 6:00pm. The vegan menu is fantastic also. I ordered the pizza with walnuts and also the vegan chicken dish. This may be my go to place for date nights with my wife.

I have been searching for good kibbeh since my grandmother stopped making them (they're not easy!), and I have finally found somewhere to get well-made kibbeh and so close to home! I also had their grape leaf rolls, a falafel wrap, and a side of hummus - all were wonderful. I am very happy with this first experience, and I'm looking forward to going back.

Restaurant owners make you feel like a guest in their home. I came on vegan night with friends and was blown away. I'm not even vegan but I was amazed at the home-cooking deliciousness using the vegan delights of Beyond Meat and Green Goddess Fromagerie. It didn't hurt that they had live musicians too! Excited to come back for a Belly dancing night. Great food and personal service.

My partner and I order from retour bistro a couple times a month. The food is ALWAYS warm, fresh, authentic, and 100% delicious. Hands down our favourite restaurant to order from in Guelph. We typically order the beef manouche, tabbouleh, labneh and more. Everything we have tried has been incredible. The staff running the family owned business are always kind and attentive, and provide a wonderful atmosphere for their restaurant. We strongly suggest trying out Retour bistour, there is no doubt that you will love it.

Excellent food with a cozy atmosphere. The food here tops the Lebanese places I've tried in Ottawa! The customer service was amazing! Despite the difficulty of cooking while suffocating in a mask and seeing through the quasi blinding of a spit guard, the lady working here is very friendly and made my friend and I feel welcome. Honoured to be your first patio customers since phase 2 of reopening started ;) Will definitely visit again the next time I'm back in Guelph!

A new restaurant in a new building, was excited to try this place. Very clean, bright space. Offers Lebanese food as well as several vegan options (which was the main draw for this morning). I had the tofu scramble, hashbrowns, and toast. Came with tomato slices and balsamic vinegar. The scramble was simple and delicious. Well spiced, topped with vegan cheese, and not over complicated by the addition of sauteed vegetables. This was a perfect medium to light breakfast. My wife had the vegan french toast. Thick cut white bread, dipped in chia seeds and panko, baked in a pizza oven. Sweet, mild crunch, and filling. Good coffee, we were asked if we wanted refills at least twice. Service was very good; attentive, addressed questions. We were the first table of the day which our very short wait time for food reflects. Definitely a place that we will be coming back to, most likely soon to try their dinner options.

We ate an early dinner yesterday at Retour Bistro, having just read it got a load of wins on Readers' Choice Awards in the Guelph Tribune. Every bite was perfect. It's authentic Lebanese food, in a small but modern and comfortable and friendly restaurant. Their Vegan menu is full and rich and includes all the best of the regular menu. We had delicate cabbage rolls in a light and delicious tomato sauce, spicy roasted potatoes (and these are starters), and shared the Kafta Plate, two skewers of Beyond Meat ground up with spices and served with turmeric rice and salad and hummus and pickled turnip...anyway, everything was sooo good. We'll be making Retour a regular place to eat.

This is the place you can eat with ALL of your friends! Vegans, gluten free, omnivores! All of the food is made fresh, and the owners are incredibly friendly. Every dish seems made with care and richly seasoned to perfection. Our family is Vegan and Lebanese food has traditionally a number of great vegan options and they have also made a huge effort to be vegan inclusive. Their menu has Veg items clearly marked with a green leaf, but off the top of my head, lentil soup, falafel, grape leaves, cabbage rolls, mezza plate, 2 of the salads are vegan. Make sure to try the Zataar Manakeesh and moutobaal. They have Beyond Meat Burgers and the best damn Vegan Pizza in town featuring local Green Goddess Vegan cheese

Ordered two tawook wraps and a gyro, I was pleased with the gyro, the flavour was good. However, the tawook wrap was dreadful. No taste of chicken it tasted like I was eating a garlic sandwich, it was too overpowering. Also I was disappointed with the quantity of chicken in the wrap, it was well below any tawook wrap I have ever had. The sandwich was packed with pickled turnips and pickles too make up for the few bits of chicken in the wrap. Overall disappointed with my current experience. Though I will try some other items at some point, for now not pleased with my order.

I stopped into Retour Bistro on my lunch break and I was certainly not disappointed. It is a close walk from the heart of Downtown Guelph which is convenient as I did not see parking outside the building. The staff were friendly and made sure I had everything I needed, while making frequent stops to my table to check in. The falafel and tahini sauce tasted amazing, and the rice was some of the best I have ever eaten. The restaurant was also beautiful inside with modern decor. I will certainly be back!

Food is very good but sometimes inconsistent. The hummus is often extremely garlicky, and otherwise just fine (and very tasty). The lentil soup is excellent and consistent. The tabouleh as well but you get random amounts of it each time.

Stopped in here for lunch today with my wife and daughter and ordered a Donair pita, small pepperoni pizza and zaatar manakeesh. Everything came piping hot and was fantastic.Donair was wrapped in two pieces of paper so I could remove one and not drop delicious sauce everywhere while I ate.

We went at a quiet time, mid afternoon. We enjoyed manakeesh, falafel, and baklava. Our neighbouring table was friendly and the four of us and the owner/chef chatted for quite a while. The space is not huge, but has a classy vibe which is welcoming and cozy. They hold special events from time to time as well. I'm glad we found our way here because the food was so delicious. We know now that there is parking at the back next time we come by the area. And yes.. the food was very very good. I don't think I've been able to find a comparable Lebanese place closer to where we live. Next time I go, i'm bringing more people so we can try more! :) Go check it out!

Lovely owners and staff, it's a family owned small business so you are supporting local if you eat here! Fantastic food. Always fresh tasting with great ingredients. My family has been here a few times and it's always good. My favourites are the halloumi fries, kebbeh, and kafta plate, but you can't go wrong with anything. They have some of the best falafel I've ever tasted. All the sauces that come on the side are made in house. For those who are vegan or vegetarian, there is a vegan menu that includes much of the house menu but with plant based options. Many items on the main menu are naturally vegetarian as well. Taking this into consideration, they are probably one of the most accessible restaurants in down for different dietary styles. Highly recommend!

Love this restaurant. Fresh and delicious Lebanese food. Super lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend the manakeesh. I found lots of parking on the side streets behind the building.

Absolutely delicious food, very carefully packaged up. Generous portions, very tasty, and everyone wore masks when I picked the food up. The family meal fed a family of 4 for dinner with some leftovers for lunch the next day. Garlic sauce is fantastically garlicky. We'll be back!

We ordered a selection of items to try. Beef kofta, fattoush, lebnah, rakakat, falafel, moutabbal. Everything was delicious, hot and ready on time. Our favourites were the beef and cheese manouche and the hummus.

This is a lovely little Lebanese cafe Bistro. They serve a north american breakfast as well as Mediterranean fare and have a full vegan menu option as well. On a Sunday morning it was quiet and the lady handling the cash and serving was very pleasant. The coffee was good.

The food here is amazing. Portions are beyond generous. They have a wonderful vegan menu. Our waitress was lovely but didn't think of things like bringing small plates and cutlery so we could share appetizers. She seemed inexperienced but overall it was a happy dining experience. They are very welcoming. Would highly recommend.

Retour bistro is my favourite place in Guelph, for many reasons! 1) Expansive menu with tons of variety, which doesn't skimp on quality. I have tried many of their items, including pizza, manakeesh, salads, mezza, and platters and everything has been delicious. 2) Flavourful options for everyone. Their kafta and other meats are delicious with hints of parsley, mint and other spices. And their VeganHouse menu offers most of the original menu with a vegan modification, making it a great option for Vegans. Their fake meats are also spiced as nicely as the meats are! 3) They are accurate and follow instructions to a tee - something that is weirdly rare in Guelph. I've asked for stuff on the side, extra spices, no onions etc. and they always follow through. 4) Generous portions and careful packaging. Thank you Retour for feeding us pretty much biweekly throughout this pandemic <3

The location of the restaurant is excellent. The menu had ample choices and we tried around 4 dishes and all of them were delicious! The hosts were warm and pleasant. We even had the baklava which was also delicious. Definitely a place I would be revisiting very soon and frequently! I highly recommend you try this restaurant.
