by far the WORST falafel wrap i have ever eaten. disgusting is the only word to describe, the order left me full of only regret. also the baklava was dry, no honey. a very bad experience, it goes without saying, i will never eat from here again.

This place isn’t as good as before, but it is still good and getting better. Food portions are good and the taste is fresh and nice. I’m not sure if it’s the same owners but a few years back the owner would often give free fries to kids who came with my friends and didn’t have money to order. Not sure if it’s the same management but thank you regardless.

I wish i can give them 0 stars this is my first ever review i have ever wrote, i usually order chicken on the rocks when i receive the food the chicken is all dried so as the rice makes me wanna puke everytime I eat it and also the amount of sauce is so less they put on your plate like seriously if you want more customers be fair with them, and they charge you 25 cents for extra garlic sauce so cheap unbelievable never coming back ever again

Love Osmows, hate this location been going to the location on Kenilworth street didn’t know there was one closer to my home. Went today and order a super chicken shawarma and there was barely any meat and it was cold. Went back 15 minutes later as I was still hungry and they corrected the problem of having chinsey meat but the chicken was still cold. On top of that when I complained they asked when I was there..... ummm 15 minutes ago and it wasn’t too busy. Might give it a shot again probably not. Osmaws is great just not this location imo.

Ordered through Uber. The delivery driver gave us the wrong order, and I had no contact information for him. I called Osmow's only to have a man yell at me that it wasn't his fault and he will not make me more food because he labeled everything. While I understand it was not his fault, the yelling was highly unnecessary, especially on mother's day. We have enjoyed the food many times before this, but with that response will never be ordering again.

We had chicken on the rocks and couple of chicken shawarma wrap two days ago. They put literally half meat and half garlic sauce even meat was not hot enough. It was not worth to buy from this location. Disappointed.

The Wednesday special which is eggplant, rice, & salad was a joke. The container is large but the portions are hilariously tiny. I had to buy a side of rice and when I piled it on top of the rice that came with the special, it looked finally like a decent amount. Why am I paying $10.99 for such little food? The eggplant was good but c'mon now. Make the portion sizes bigger for that cost. Also I found a piece of chicken in my eggplant so that's also a huge reason why I will not be returning. Hit up the A&W next door for a beyond meat burger combo for all my fellow vegans.

Came here for the first time a few days ago and left very happy. Prices are on par with other places of this type but I found the food portions just a bit more generous. Staff is very friendly. Lots of free parking in the lot nearby the BMO though it can fill up at times.

Very baad food I ordered chicken on the rocks with onions but there was not even a single piece of onion. Secondly the chicken was stale I had only two bites and garbaged the rest Nd after 20 minutes of that two bites my stomach got paining and got loose motions. I am an Uber driver due to which i have to switch it off headed to my home and my day was ruined.

Service was quick and staff were polite BUT the order was wrong. I ordered osmows special mild spice...it came with hot peppers...not what I ordered. As well it was so wet that it literally fell apart with my first bite. My husband ordered beef shwarma on the rocks, no sauce and hot peppers BUT his came with sauce. We were already home and due to our schedule had no time to go back and get it fixed. Not very happy about this especially since it wasn't busy.

Its reasonable shawarma. They don't actually cook it enough on the rotisserie I find. Not that the chicken is undercooked but they cook it mostly on the grill with steam heat. I think it would be a lot tastier if the pieces of chicken were crisper. Also its fairly expensive for what you get. Skimpy on the chicken sometimes. Owner/ staff are very nice tho.

Rice is horrible, meat isn't good, too much garlic sauce on EVERYTHING, when making a shawarma, one side you would get veg and the other chicken, meaning that when u bite into the shawarma u only get one side of veg and one side of chicken which is unsatisfying because you want to eat a mixture of veg and chicken. Especially the rice...its just horrible, barely any seasoning, I would rather go to Samir's which is 10x better than osmows regardless of their price.

I went for lunch and the chicken was still raw on the turning stick. And the owner could barely use the cash register and kept lying that the chicken was fresh but he just reheated the previous days old chicken. He was really rude and wouldnt listen to the customer. Would not reccomend.

DO NOT go here please. Very disappointed in the service, you DO NOT get what pay for at all. Its like they are counting grains of rice when fulfilling your order. Chicken on rocks don't really exist, its all rice, barely any chicken they put on. They try to upsell every single thing on every single order for lettuce, tomatoes, white sauce etc...by asking you want extra? you want extra? every single topping. These people are already charging $13/14 + tax and they want to charge customers more for extra piece of tomatoes? An average person gets paid minimum wage will be wasting their pay at this location. I been to many Osmows, but this is the worse management location of all. I don't think its the student workers, its the manager or owner himself is extremely cheap. Please do not waste your money here. I am going to file a official complaint with their head office.

My husband and I just ordered a chicken shawarma, and two chicken on the stixs for take out. When we got home we opened them and saw that we recieved two chicken on rice. We called the restaurant and was told that we got we what ordered and if we wanted it to be replaced we would have to pay the difference. Even though we both knew that we did not order it, we said that would be fine, but then he said he could only replace one of them "because $20 is alot". This was not our mistake and we are completely taken back by the response that was provided to us. We have been ordering Osmows for a long time now but we just started going to this location. We will never order from this location again. If you are choosing Osmows, I would consider visiting any other location.

With so many shawarma options in town, this should not be your first choice. The food looks good in the pics but no matter what you get, every bite tastes the same as the last. Seasoning and freshness is missing; the saving grace is the mayo sauce that covers it all. The service is always very good and the staff is friendly.

Slowest location I've ever been to, and ive been going to the other locations for years now 20 minutes for 2 shawarma wraps is ridiculous, especially when the people serving are too busy talking to each other and taking their time to do everything. My home location, Cawthra and Lakeshore, is quick, polite, and clean. This place was none of those. Only reason it gets 2 stars not one, is the fact it's still an amazing shawarma.

Went in to get food and there was a strong smell of bleach as they just washed the floor. What restaurant uses bleach on their floors where customers sit and eat? This location used to be good, bit the quality it going downhill, chicken is dry and left to sit. They completely fill the consider to the brim with rice and put a tiny bit of meat on top. And also.. We usually love ordering from Osmow's and have done so in other locations but the food from this location was disappointing. The serving was very small, almost no meat for the Beef on the Rocks I ordered. The taste was noticeably different too - grainy, like the meat was a day old, the sauce was a tad sour than the usual. Haven't had Osmow's since ordering from this place to be honest (and this was early summer, and we have takeout food almost every week), it's impacted our perception with the food chain overall. **UPDATE** Owner responded to this review soon after I posted. I sent him an email, radio silence for more than a month. I don't understand why there was a need to ask me to send you an email but sure, gave you a chance. Only to realize later that maybe, this was just a front to "show" that you try to reach out to your unsatisfied customers. Let it be known to whoever comes across this review -- NO RESPONSE RECEIVED AFTER SENDING AN EMAIL AS SOLICITED BY OWNER.

I came to this location to get dinner. I was very rudely told by the gentleman at the till that I could only order 2 item at a time because he was too busy, and suggested I go back to the line to order. The advertisement for today’s special clearly states max 5 items per customer. The gentleman on the till was letting other people order more, that where speaking his language. As a business owner on Upper James my self I will not be returning to this location and would not recommend this place. The shawarma where not wrapped all the way. I lost count the amount of Health Code Violations example Cross Contamination. Short staff and the list goes on.......

Not as good as other locations. Portions are smaller, and the rice is very different. All the other locations I've been to, the rice looks a little yellow, like it's cooked in chicken broth. At this location, it seems to be plain white rice. Taste is completely different. They also don't break up the chicken and make it into small pieces. This is the first place I've had a shawarma sandwich and it's had chunks of chicken. Nice enough staff, and location is clean. But the food is not up to par compared to the other locations.

The place was dirty. I ordered a falafel wrap and it came to 8.10$ so I gave her a 10 dollar bill and a dime. She gave back 1 dollar 2 quarters and 4 dimes.. I asked “are you out of toonies?” She says “no I gave you the correct change” I said “no no I should get a toonie back” she says “no I’m sorry have you the right amount you could speak to the manager if you want but my manager is not here so...” then another employee had to intervene and ended up giving me the toonie. While I was waiting for my order I overheard her having another issue with another customer. Idk if she’s new or what but she has an attitude and doesn’t know math. We stopped using pennies in 2012 and even still my change would’ve been incorrect. With that being said, my low rating also has to do with the dirty facility and the employees not changing gloves. Every single time you move to a next order the gloves should be changed. Especially if it’s a vegan order OR if you’re handling money. FIX IT

Franchise shawarma chain. It's missing the touch of an owner operator. Lots of seating and food is not bad... Some tweaks could make this place great. Osmows in general, I think they are focusing so much on expansion, but overlooking the customer experience. Was asked if I wanted extra sauce then charged for it. I don't give a care about the money but the way it was asked didn't sound like an up charge. I hate when businesses try to be sneeky, no need to do that. Just say "you want extra sauce for 75 cents" or something....

I Got the super chicken schwarma. Too much chewy bread in the wrap. 4 layers in 1 section. had to pay for extra garlic sauce which didn't taste like garlic sauce. I don't use hot sauce so the flavour of chicken sauce and toppings need to stand by themselves - they were so bland! Hot sauce is required for flavour here. Husband also got same order with suicide hot sauce. Same chewy bread issue. He said the hot sauce was actually hot and couldn't really taste other flavors. He was then glued to the toilet that night. I wasnt. I only ate about 30% of my tasteless wrap, he ate all his, including the pool of hot sauce at the bottom. Not worth it. Will keep looking for more schwarma.

What happened here? I spend over $70 on average at this location through Uber eats but this time was not as good as usual. This was a walk in order, I ordered two salads and two chickpea salads all with chicken on them. One with mixed beef. The chicken was burnt and hard, crusty and dried out. The beef was good. The chicken seemed like it was scraped together from previous hours. I’m not one to gripe but I frequently order from there and never had problems before....it’s not the quality of meat that is bad...it’s how long it’s was sitting there and then serving it....I love this location and if it means that I have to wait longer for a newer batch of meat...I’ll wait.

Just choose a different location. I go most osmow’s locations downtown and they usually give me better service and food entirely. First of all, this location skims on the sauces. And although the main menu says that most dishes come with salad, the man working told me that they would only give me the salad one time but they don’t isualy do it.. Then, the man sent his son to collect a some charge for me making a purchase under $10. At the time they insisted that I pay the extra 35cents. I only had my credit card on me with no cash. Just save your self a trip and go somewhere else. Super disappointed.

Some staff are impatient and unhelpful, others are really nice. The chicken shawarma plate was a big portion, the white sauce and hot sauce was good but the fattoush was sub par. It was very small, dry, with just iceberg lettuce and few other vegetables with no dressing. My friend had the shawarma plate as well, she liked it. She had the Greek salad and said it was ok but had too much dressing.

Absolutely horrendous. I placed an order on Uber Eats. Ordered a salad and a wrap. The salad I planned on eating the next day so I requested no salad dressing because dressing would make it soggy the next day. Sure enough, they put salad dressing on the salad, AND packaged the container on the side, so the salad dressing made a disaster in the bag, which resulted in a soggy wrap. So the entire order, nearly $30, went in the garbage. I took a picture and sent it to Uber Eats who did nothing to help resolve the issue. I will never order from Osmow’s again, and I am deleting the Uber Eats app. What a sorry excuse for a company. Oh and the lettuce already looked disgusting. The lettuce was Subway style - shredded, like the kind that you put on a sandwich, not expect in a $10 salad.

Wasnt very impressed with this location, I'm normally a very big fan of Shawarms aka chicken shawarmas the proper way however this location doesnt allow you to see what's being placed in your wrap instead they all you what you want on it , how much garlic, hot sauce and what level of heat etc. I was confused on why they couldn't just make a traditional shawarma and let me see them making it. My only guess is that they cut chicken meats from the big cooker then reheat it in a flat top stove as needed which is totally wrong and ruins the flavor of a proper shawarma, anyone that knows a proper shawarma would understand totally. One cannot boil/steam chicken after it's been bbq cooked it just taste like mush then and now crunch or bbq taste anymore. I've notice this is now a rapidly expanding chain in southern ontario I sure hope someone of importance reads this or this establishment will be just another western subway. Sorry if anyone likes there version but it's just not right let alone health increases of bacteria etc. Store appearance very nice, cleanliness very nice as well, Staff super friendly. Advice - dont save money by recooking meet over n over again aka steam cooking. I stopped from posting a video from this only because I understand the implications of it to the store itself.

One of the few schwarma places I consistently go back to on a weekly basis, probably since it first opened a while back. Place is generally clean and everyone there is nice, though accents can be a little tough to decipher at times. Nonetheless, still great. I'm terms of food, waiting times are generally 5-15 mins depending on if you get chicken on the rocks, vs longer if you get anything else. Portion size is ok, wished they put a little more salad in their small salad container and consistently put the same vegetables in the salad ( sometimes missing cucumbers, or green peppers, or has onions, etc). The chicken wrap is great bang for the buck, chicken on the rocks is pretty good meal if your into chicken and rice. And the hot sauce is great - the more you put the hotter it gets. I definitely don't go hotter than "hot" and it's enjoyable, and doesn't kill my stomach the next day. The only reason I give it a 4 is the chicken quality seems to have dropped off since it first opened. Recently I have found small bones tendinous pieces and fatty pieces in my wraps and chicken on the rocks. Not sure if they have a different supplier, but it worries me eating it now as I need to be on the lookout for these things (especially the bones) to prevent choking.

We live in Niagara Falls, but the Osmows here dosen't open till 4 pm. So Last Thursday me and my wife decided to check out this location and do a mini road trip. It was am Utter disappointment, I wish I took pictures. The young lady barely put any chicken on both meals. It's like I paid $30 for Saucey rice and Fries with a Garnish of chicken. Taken aback by the exceptionally poor customer service and the poor quality of food served yesterday. We will not return after a very negative experience and instead will go to Phoenicia at Garth and Mohawk. We ordered a Chicken Shawarma sandwich and salad yesterday. In the past, our orders were made satisfactorily although in our experience, other Osmow's locations were superior in terms of quality and portion sizes. On this occasion, very little chicken was given and it was exceptionally dry and hard to chew. We phoned to share our experience and were offered a free sandwich and salad upon our next visit. When we went back to Osmows today that offer was rescinded. Instead, we were offered 50% off the order. We indicated that was not what was promised to us and not a fair compromise given the poorly served items we were served. Here are the owner's exact comments, which clearly indicate a total disregard for customer experience: 1. No other customers complained about their shawarmas. We have been here numerous times, why would you not value our opinion and negative experience considering we are good paying customers? 2. If you were dissatisfied with your order, you should have returned it. OUR RESPONSE: We were working and on our lunch hour. We are located 15 minutes away. We could not return the items given a limited lunch hour. 3. What would the owners think if we gave you a free Shawarma sandwich and salad? OUR RESPONSE: It is not free. You are replacing items that were of poor quality. I am sure they would think that you would like to ensure that all customers are satisfied that have a reasonable claim - especially regular customers. 4. The chicken salad is best served with the salad dressing and garlic sauce on it. OUR RESPONSE: Another ridiculous comment. The quality of chicken should not be influenced by the dressing and garlic sauce. We ordered on the side to control the amount of extra calories on the salad. There are plenty of other Shawarma alternatives in Hamilton. So, we walked out promising never to return and instead went to Phoenicia at Garth and Mohawk. Superior Shawarma and exceptional customer service. No affiliation with the restaurant - simply my experience factually written. Consider if you would like to support this type of restaurant that treats its customers this way.

I decided to try Osmow’s after a kickboxing class nearby. I’ve had it in Mississauga but happy to see that a location has sprung up fairly close. Middle Eastern deliciousness at a fair price and healthy. The space here is quite large and seating is limited, about 7-8 tables. I ordered Chicken on the Rocks which is basically shawarma chicken on a bed of yellow rice with Osmow’s special sauce (white garlic goodness) and I love spice so I went with three long lines of spice (medium hot). Note: The red sauce is not as hot as Hallal Guys. This simple dish hit the spot, with tax and all it’s just under $10 for a medium (I ordered takeout and it lasted me two meals) meanwhile the large was about $2 more. The gentleman at cash and the lady behind the counter did not speak much English but they were so incredibly nice! If you’re on the area, definitely give it a shot. If you’re students there is also a student special ☺️ The reason for four star is because it is clean, reasonably price for a take out spot, food is fresh and healthier (than your normal greasy spoon) and staff are really nice. It lacks the one star as there wasn’t specific variable that made me feel it was perfect. Either way, I recommend this place, quick, easy and relatively cheap.

Awful service, ordered 2 shawarma's over the phone. Upon pick-up, they were trying to give me "sticks" & couldn't understand that I had ordered shawarma's & fries. No fries had been mad. Ended up waiting 30mins for the order when in a rush. Not anything like the shawarma's I order from my local Milton location (or anywhere else), fries overdone & family didn't end up eating it all. No discount on the fries even as a courtesy for all the problems & waiting time. Never again.

My absolute favorite place for Shawarma. Always a tough choice choosing between shawarma on the rocks and the wrap. Sometimes I just get both and take the left over home. Fries are nice and crispy. Prices are reasonable. If you eat in there is plenty of seating. Not sure how busy it is during lunch. At original Streetsville location the lineup was always out the door. My only issue is I wish the salads weren't made using all iceburg lettuce ... would be nice if they used romaine or mixed greens. Salads taste fine by very little nutritional value.

If there was a 0 star, I would have given that as this was worst experience I have ever had. We went to the place and ordered chicken on the rocks and then we realized the Chicken was dry and hard to chew. Then we went in the store again to let them know about it, the employee named INDER was so rude and started claiming that she was serving the chicken since morning and no one else has complained about it. Instead of valuing the customer’s complains and feedbacks, she started arguing. We then asked her to give us replacement and waited there for 25 mins upon which she again gave the overcooked and dry chicken in the same box of rice we returned to her. They totally disregard the customer opinions and suggestions. I have had Osmow’s chicken so many times and never have I faced this kind of service and treatment. I would suggest not to go there and waste your money. Highly unprofessional on their part and even the manager’s who couldn’t teach them how to talk to customers. Message to inder - Learn to listen and then respond in a polite manner

The quality of this location has completely dropped off unfortunately, they were my go to shawarma place nearby. Got the chicken on the rocks yesterday and the garlic sauce didn't taste like it had any garlic in it at all, it's probably mostly mayonnaise (which also tasted strangely sweet) and the hot sauce had almost no heat or spice. It wasn't always like this, this place would make fantastic wraps and plates before.

Yesterday I ordered 2 wraps with extra garlic sauce. I paid for extra sauce, but they forgot to add. When I called, they didn't admit. They offered me to free upgrade one regular shawarma to super shawarma next time. Usually regular sauce drips from shawarma. It was extra sauce, but nothing came out. It was very dry to chew. Another philly cheesesteak shawarma had small quantity of meat. It was like eating mostly bread. On top of that hardly any sauce made it an unpleasant evening.

After many very excellent experiences here.. followed by one horrific experience of cold food and multiple hairs, I felt it was unfair to leave such a negative review. Osmows on upper James is really deserving of 5*. One really bad meal out of many that were awesome shouldn't dictate it's rating. It is very clean, service is quick and polite and the food is fresh. We will continue eating from there.

I use to go to this place all the time. I ordered from them through skip due to lockdown, the last couple times, and it has never been good. This time I paid 27$ for a chicken shwarmama platter with ceaser salad...I had no salad, there was a hair in it, i paid for extra sauce, and there wasn't even enough on it to cover the bed of rice. The only thing right with my order was my pop. This place is only good if u watch them make the food so u can ensure u get everything.

Ordered the chicken on the rocks. A pathetic amount of chicken, got charged for extra garlic sauce when there was none to be found, more salad than rice... somehow? Salad has no dressing at all. Paid almost $15 for this and finished it and had to make myself more food as it was barely filling at all. Take your money elsewhere. The food was at least decent tasting (the only reason I didn't give 1 star).

Really disappointed with the service I received at this particular Osmow’s location. I came into the shop, stood in line to place my order and then cashier proceeded to serve the man behind me in line (who he seemed to know?). After that, he went and helped to prepare meals, and when he finally came back over to the register, picked up the phone instead of serving me. I eventually walked out after 15 minutes of not being acknowledged. I will continue to return to other Osmow’s because the food is excellent, but definitely not this one.

Osmos being a chain, are all pretty close. Huge portions, tasty shawarma, decent falafel. Enjoying the value and food from Osmos I've eaten at quite a few different locations. This location for the most part seems to be a bit better for overall quality, freshness and preparation.
