You may have noticed that the average score it has is virtually the top, and it is founded on a high number of scores, so we can be pretty sure that the score is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to give their review when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to put reviews when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

Tasty food nice service. We were sitting in the patio, enjoyed the Pizza and Sandwiches soup with breezes and mild sunshine. The day was beautiful.
Was there for a birthday. If you have celiac disease...do not go here. They put flour in almost everything. I specified I was celiac and then had an allergic reaction attack. It's unfortunate but for the money you spend and assurance given, the results after eating were awful. Restaurants need to treat celiac dishes like a bee sting. The damage done to the body takes weeks sometimes months to repair. Truly sad.
This has been my go to place when I get back to Guelph visiting family. Great room, food is always delicious and staff are friendly
Beef cheeks were top notch and great atmosphere
Great food. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere.
Great service and diverse choices in the menu.
Great food, great taste, great service. Mussels are very fresh
We chose to get married on the patio of Miijidaa midweek to coincide with our inlaws' 70th anniversary. We frequent the place because we love the fresh selection of food and great atmosphere - the service is always top notch. For a group event they went above and beyond and we were thrilled with the care they took in making sure we felt incredibly special. Thank you. The menu served all dietary requirements and it was absolutely delicious.
I am giving 2 star for amazing staff, ambient and place has nice vibes … loved their patio and friendliness… core of restaurant is good which I found missing .. mushroom pizza wasn’t up to the expectations.. very thin crispy crust pizza with lots of cheese … mushroom topping was way to less and I didn’t taste garlic sauce at all.. they should improvise on pizza crust and flavour.. !! It wasn’t that bad .. I may call it as simple cheese pizzA which I wasn’t expecting
Really delicious stuff. Great patio. If you aren't messing with seabuckthorn, I gotta question your approach to life
Good veggie burger. Would have given 5 of the party size was more with respect to bread (bun). Great fries ..
It was our first time exploring Guelph so we decided to stop in at Miijidaa for lunch. The restaurant itself is quite spacious with a few different seating areas such as the sidewalk patio, interior spaces and even a lovely back patio. The lunch menu has a nice variety that ranges from appetizers to pizzas to sandwiches to more heartier dishes like their roasted chicken and seared trout. We decided on the Elk Scotch Egg, Venison Burger and the Potato Pizza. The Scotch egg was delicious with a nice jammy yolk and a crispy coating. The burger was okay but even though it was a venison patty we couldn't taste the venison. I don't know if this was intentional because venison can be gamey at times. It was the same problem with the Scotch Egg, if we didn't see Elk on the menu we'd never know what the meat was on the outside. We really liked the potato pizza but it would've been better without the roasted apple. Some chili flakes or a drizzle of chili oil would've worked instead.
friendly staff, great food
Amazing ambiance and atmosphere at this restaurant! Great place to hold a small event or large group meal. Service is good and they have great food options too. We were healthier today and got: Dinosaur kale salad with tofu Vegetarian burger with a side of spinach salad Both were delicious.
Hope its the light at the end of the tunnel. Nice to see Ontario opening up and happy to return to one of our favorite places. They are open only till 8pm so time it a bit early. And the reduced seating capacity means please be quick. Friendly service, clean place, Covid protocols well kept and overall Good food. Cant ask for more
We stumbled upon this restaurant and loved every dish we tried! Amazing fungi pizza (that vegan cheese was much better than expected!). Ordered for 4 people off their vegan menu and were so impressed. The food came quick, was extremely flavourful and we left with warm happy and full bellies. Will dedinately be coming back!
Loved the backyard ambiance of their patio, and their pizza was absolutely delicious. Went to Miijidaa after almost 1.5 years of not dining at any restaurant, it was a great choice to kick off the patio season.
Great atmosphere, nice professional service and food was very good. My wife and I were satisfied in terms bill and quality of food.

Love this place. We love to go on date nights here and the food and service is always excellent.
You know it is a good spot when they serve house-made ketchup! I love the emphasis on environmentally responsible dining (such as using metal straws) and locally sourced foods. I also love that they are very kid friendly! They have crayons and a paper menu for kids to colour. The front entrance can be confusing as they have a cafe window as well as their waiting area. Everything accept the bathrooms is fully accessible. Free, on-street parking is also a plus.
One of the best charcuteries in town, staff can't be beat.
Love their vegan cheese from green goddess. Blue cheese dip was incredible
One of my favourite places to eat in Guelph. There is always something delicious on the menu. Though I will admit to having a bias for the Halloumi appetizer and splitting the burger and tourtière with a friend, the smoked pickles and cheesy macaroni come a close second. They do great takeout, too, and are part of the Friendlier Company's collection of restaurants that does takeout in reusable containers! My advice is always to eat the peanut butter pie dessert (if you can).
Great pizza, the salad and soup was really good also. Definitely recommend.
We only had an ice cream and Chocolate chip cookies and both tasted well but the exceptional part of the visit here was the customer service they offer! It’s amazing the way they take your order and guide you through their menu! Great place for a quiet evening!! Will love to go back again and try out the rest of the menu
Great atmosphere, service was great, lovely decorated. My wife and I enjoyed the dining experience as a whole. Good COVID protocols too. Food was OK, but not great!!. I would come back later this year and give it another try since maybe other items in the menu are better and the place is nice.
Non veg experience is average and veg experience is below average. Specifically veggie burger can be better. Mac n cheese is alright. The silver lining of the whole menu is their unique soda blends. All in all its tiny disappointing of the hype you can see on maps.
This restaurant is definitely one of the coolest place in the area. Whenever I come there I am very pleased. They always keep their high level service and the highest level of cooking they serve. You are always happy with this restaurant. Very recommended.
The place has got really great vibes to it. Good seating arrangement. The restaurant doesn't have a huge menu but that works in their favour. We ordered a pizza and a burger with piri piri tofu. The food was delicious and the server was nice as well. Definitely worth visiting more than once
Good place, nice ambience.. Proof of vaccination asked for! :) However, going by intuition - service wasn't top notch.. Food quality: 4/5 Quantity: 4/5 Ambience: 5/5 Service: 3/5 Overall: 3/5
Very comfy spot for drinks and good eats, added bonus that it’s attached to the Bookshelf! Dinner, coffee, quick snack, or a little bit of day drinking - this place covers it all! Staff here are super friendly and wait times aren’t bad even when they’re busy. Beware the wifi is sometimes a bit choppy, in case you are planning to hunker down for some work hours. Last time I went I got a glass of wine and the kale salad, and dang that was a good kale salad (for a really good price of $11 too). Would recommend for small group dinners or dates!
As a pescatarian, I tried the fish and chips and must admit it’s the best I have ever had in a very long time. I would recommend this place to family and friends looking for a wonderful meal.
Service
I think this place is wonderful. The food is really good and the atmosphere is really nice. Our waitress tonight was so friendly and happy which was nice to see as my first restaurant experience in almost a year. The jalapeño cheddar cornbread was to die for and so moist, My only real complaints are that the chairs they have on the patio aren’t great for anyone with wider bodies or legs so it’s incredibly painful and uncomfortable to sit in them. That and I wish that my potato pizza had had more of the roasted apple on it, though that’s more of a personal preference than anything.
The menu is really creative and offers a lot of unique options without being overwhelming. The cocktails are the best I’ve had in Guelph, highly recommend the Golden Hour Sour!! The charcuterie board was really impressive! Having locally sourced cheese was a huge plus for me. The ambience is great, the staff are incredibly professional and personable. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you haven’t been already!

Instagram ID: anjav3 Food/Drinks: - Smoke Caesar is very cool and unique. I liked it at first but then the smoky flavour became too overpowering so I ordered a regular Caesar the second time. It was quite spicy so if you don’t like spice then let the bar know in advance. - Pear Gin Sparkler was my fiancés favourite. If you prefer your drinks on the stronger side then definitely ask for little to no ice as the gin is very light - Hand cut fries were seasoned with salt and parmesan. Unfortunately they were extremely salty. We had to drown them in the garlic aioli and ketchup before being able to eat it. The fries were made well though and it was a decent portion for an appetizer. The garlic aioli was great and not too garlicy - 3 Sisters was different. I usually hate squash but it didn’t play that big of a role in this dish for me to not like it. I’m not sure why but I liked it more when I reheated it the next day for lunch than I did when I ate it at the restaurant. It was filling even though it didn’t look like much was on the plate. Nice hearty vegan meal. - Seafood Pot Pie was very nice. When we ordered it we were told that it’s not your typical mix of seafood like shrimp, lobster and fish. This one contained salmon, arctic char, pickerel. It was very hot and the buttery pastry top was made very well. It was fluffy but crunchy too. Not overdone. Highly recommend this dish! - Coffee was fairly good and hot. I usually have my coffees black so I can appreciate the flavor. I liked this one. - Beignets were one of the best yet simple desserts I’ve ever had. I was very surprised to see 5 of them come out. I was expecting two maximum. They were very hot and fresh and very filling. I would recommend sharing with friends unless you want to have them as leftovers. I will definitely come back for these! The screech spiked pastry cream was okay but I would have preferred if it came with just Nutella or jelly. Other Comments: - Our server Jenna was very friendly and outgoing. She took the time to have a little conversation with each table instead of just taking the orders and walking away. We found it quite kind of her to do that and it made us feel welcomed. - We experienced the smallest problem while at the restaurant which is not worth mentioning. I did want to point out that it was resolved in the nicest way and that our fries were comped. - The restaurant is carbon neutral so it’s very nice to support the business and feel like you aren’t doing any harm to the environment - Very earthy and homey décor, loads of seating too - Make a reservation! We did not expect every seat to be full on a Sunday evening. We had to wait 30 minutes before getting a seat. We sat at the bar and had drinks until our table was ready which we didn’t mind. - They have a very big patio in the back of the restaurant that opens in the spring and summer so I can’t wait to come here and sit outside - All the servers were working their butts off! If their food wasn’t good, I would still come here for the friendly service! Instagram ID: anjav3
Warm, welcoming service and great vibe both indoor and outdoor. The soup, TOURTIÈRE and SEARED TROUT were fantastic. Will definitely come back!
Wonderful vibes, cozy and hipster. Carbon neutral restaurant too which is awesome, during the summery months, the patio in the back is absolutely delightful
Great restaurant. Different cocktails. Interesting entree choices, waiter was very good, great service
Food was very tasty atmosphere was cozy. The patio looked great but was busy and we had to be seated inside. Great selection of local beers. Staff was super friendly and the restaurant was perfectly located right beside the ebar and bookstore. Probably one of the top 10 places in Guelph to grab a fresh lunch.
Not your ordinary eatery, every dish has a little extra to it. Highly recommend the Elk Scotch Egg with pickled cranberries. Delicious!
We went on September 25th. The food was delicious as always, the service is amazing, and the peanut butter pie is to die for.
I had a team lunch there today and I absolutely loved it. I had the fish and chips. Fish could have been a bit more spicy e.g. salt and pepper but I think overall it was good.
Fantastic food and service. I am not from the area but everytime I pass through Geulph I make an effort to come here. From the great menu items, care when it comes to flavors and cooking techniques as well as the season menu changes, this place really is a treat! They have a cafe, indoor and outdoor space, which is great for all occasions. The only recommendations I would have is to put more care into the washrooms. It's not dirty, it just seems like it has to least care in the whole resturant. It could be due to the fact its shared with a public bookstore. Otherwise, awesome experience and will continue to come back.
Great food, drink, atmosphere and services. Great spot for lunch or dinner
The food was good, it's got a nice vibe, it's clean and can be intimate. The price is in the med-high range.
Cool atmosphere. Wide selection of liquor. But the food just took like an hour to serve and a little bit too salty. The salad is great!
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday, and it was really great! Our server was super friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and I would highly recommend it! We started with the potted ash goat cheese, my bf had the Lamb Neck main, and I had the Pan Roasted Chicken - all very delicious!!! For dessert he had the Freedom Fighter coffee, and the dessert special was a creme caramel with a big biscotti which was soooo good ????
Pizza was aaaaaaalright. Pretty short and simple menu, great *great* service (no I didn't get free stuff). Pretty neat art on the walls as well.
Service
Food was delicious. Service was great like usual. Thanks for a great experience tonight!
This restaurant has the most amazing food! I’ve been here twice now, once in the summer where I could enjoy the beautiful patio and more recently got to sit in the dining room, which also has a really nice feel. I had the same server both times and he could not be more friendly, he clearly loves the restaurant and wants to make sure everyone has a good experience. I’ve gotten the soup of the day both times and neither time let me down! I really recommend trying the trout as well.
PHENOMENAL!!!! First time here and won't be our last!!!! Such an incredible vibe inside, so cabin-y feeling and Ontario!!! The wait staff and manager were all genuinely Amazing!!! So nice and fun!!! My wife got the Pan Roasted Chicken and I had the Beef Cheeks. This was a such well thought out menu, the presentation was exquisite and the flavours were mouth watering and incredible! Done to absolute perfection!!! In short, OFF THE HOOK AMAZING!!!! Hands down THE best meal we've Ever had!!!! Wonderful vibes in here, the atmosphere is beautiful and comforting. Wish more than 5 stars was available cuz this Brilliant!!!
Wow! Incredible food, substantial portions, very affordable. Had a great meal and will absolutely be back.
Consistently good food, and interesting dishes and ingredients. The back patio is very nice in good weather too!
Great food, even better drinks. Could use some more selection on the menu though
Very cute cafe with a cozy atmosphere! Connection the book store is closed due to COVID. The service is fantastic, plan was clean and staff was very friendly!
Dinner
When there for patio. The place was spacious, great ambiance. food and beer were good. Order the beef and duck, I wish the black rice could be more cooked… it was a bit hard. The staffs was amazing, super nice! Just one critic about their glass and cups… definitely need to be cleaned more…
Service
Originally dined in and had an alright experience (the pizza was good but I really did not enjoy the trout). However I recently had a great takeout experience here! Service was great and the food was delicious. A bonus was that they didn’t use any plastic other than for the small sauce containers which is great. I especially loved the jalapeño corn bread - it’s a must order!
Nice place but food quality has gone down significantly since my previous visits. We went shortly after they had opened indoor dining again (covid) so hopefully they get their quality back up to where it used to be
Meal type
Gorgeous day but no sun coverage for the large 10 person table on the rustic wooden patio, so half of us cooked a little bit. The service was pretty good, some spotty issues with terminal connection during payment. I ordered the beer battered dish and chip. The fry was nice, light and an appropriate ratio. Served with a sumac aand dill sauce, I didn't think really added; would have preferred tartar but I didn't mind trying it. I enjoyed the overall experience and would dine again indoors.
Thanks Zack for a memorable night. Your dinner recommendations were spot on! The beef cheeks were fantastic! The pizzas were on special Monday nights which was a nice bonus too. We will be back!
The food was very good but is not consistent everytime i've gone there hence the 4 star rating. The ambience and service is amazing. Beautiful bar and outdoor patios (2) available to use. Very few gluten free options and they do not have a separate fryer to avoid cross-contamination so ask the server. Will def return and hope to get that top notch taste that i did the first time i got take-out from Miijidaa
Nice patio at the back of the shop but I definitely suggest them to find solutions for the food smell which is coming all the way backyard..
I had the veggie burger, with some delicious seasoned fries. I would also recommend the cornbread, which was perfect! The restaurant followed all safety protocols and had a great atmosphere. Definitely check it out!
Lunch
Amazing food, environment and service.
Loved every dish we ordered today. The burger was juicy and the bun was so well done!! Deep fried pickles are surprisingly delicious!
Lunch
Had veggie burger with GF bun and black currant and lemon soda. Amazing. Amazing service. Amazing ambience. Really good food. Would definitely recommend. Thank you. They also have paintings and succulent arrangements on display to promote. They are high on local eats and beer.
Overall the food here was very good. Our team ordered across the menu and we were impressed by the variety and quality of each dish. The appetizers were especially well thought out and executed. The only complaint is the choice of bread for the sandwiches. The baguettes are way too hard on top and bottom for anything close to a comfortable bite, and the same applies to the bun used for the venison burger. I'm actually surprised that the sandwich bread was approved given its toughness. Otherwise 5 out of 5.
What a gem of a restaurant! Came here on a whim and were surprised with how amazing everything was! We ordered the halloumi cheese appetizer and it was unreal. I ordered the smoked duck which may be the best thing I’ve ever eaten. I also got the berry and gin sorbet which was tasty and refreshing. This restaurant is worth the drive!
Tortiere was dry and flavourless. Good service. Good beer.

HotChocolate was really good. Fish was too oily and not good.
Amazing menu! Whole family loved their lunch. Warm and friendly service. We will be back!
Love going to small towns and finding a hidden gem like this one. We were unable to secure a table but went for takeout. Did not have to wait long. The portions are very generous everything smelled and tasted amazing except for the tofu dish. Needs some work as tofu steaks were very bland compared to the lentils which were amazing. Overall the burger and chicken sandwich my daughter said was delicious. Would definitely come back for dine in to try more of the menu.
Meal type
I had pizza, French fries, Deep fried pickles and a Caesar. I left with a tummy ache and a smile :-)
Inventive menu, perfect service. Great evening.
Casual dining. Absolutely delicious food. Definitely plan to return. Chocolate peanut butter pie with salted caramel topping perfect finish to a great meal.
Food was great and the staff were all wonderful. I'll definitely be coming back!
We visited Guelph for a little anniversary getaway and decided to have our dinner here. The staff were so friendly and even accommodated us with our 1 year old and our high chair without question. They were even playful and kind towards our toddler, which always makes me smile. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and they have a nice little patio in the back where we sat. For food, I had the tourtiere and my wife had the smoked duck breast - both dishes were delicious! Ingredients were fresh and everything is done in house. Would recommend to anyone visiting Guelph!
Awesome service, fantastic food. This was the first restaurant we have been to since the start of the pandemic. We book our reservations on The Open Table app, which was very convenient. Upon arrival, The staff confirmed our vaccination passport (with photo ID). The restaurant is up scale, with a warm aesthetic, the staff is amazing and are very helpful. The menu is NOT pub fare, but a lot of local and Canadian meals that are delicious and look wonderful. I had the fish and chips (pickerel) and we also had the grilled tofu, and the grilled Arctic Charr. A big shout out to Mya our server who was attentive and fun! Thanks for making our return to going out a warm and “not weird” experience
We picked up a (warm) Mother's Day Brunch and a couple of extras today and brought home to serve. My expectations were high and it did not disappoint. It is evident that the chefs at Miijidaa are committed to excellence (e.g. providing optional sea salt to sprinkle on a one-of-a-kind roasted beet, asparagus + goat cheese quiche) and the front-of-counter folks are delightful notwithstanding trying circumstances. We are lucky to have such great food options here in Guelph.
We ordered the New Year's three course meal for takeout and it was awesome. Super well packaged and easy to make look gorgeous and well plated even at home. They even put a New Year's hat and horn in the bag! Looking forward to ordering for Valentines, too. We had dinner here for our wedding a few years ago and it was even better than we could have dreamed of - they customized menus and framed drink displays for our tiny reception - hands down my favourite restaurant in Guelph.
Any dish this place puts together is incredible. Really good food, all the time, no questions asked. We enjoy yourselves every time, and their patio at the back of the restaurant is very charming.
Fantastic and absolutely delicious! Very fresh, locally sourced food.
First time visiting a couple weeks ago. Excellent service assisting me with dietary restrictions! Date night menu. Cornbread, Arctic char, Tofu, cocktails - delicious! The vegan cookies taste exactly like Pillsbury cookies which was a disappointment - crunchy, not soft, not original.
Today was my first time ordering from here. I was really excited about this place and was anticipating eating here all weekend. However, I was waiting for the duck leg to become available. (Valentines featured item) Let me just say it was well worth the wait. It was delicious! My order was missing two items when it was delivered by ubereats, but the employee was able to rectify that immediately. Despite today being the first opening day since the lockdown, he was still able place the order for the missing items, keep me updated throughout and personally deliver them. Amazing customer service, amazing food. Can’t wait to eat here again!
Friendly staff, cozy feel- enjoyed the art on the wall. The Potatoe Pizza was the big winner for us. Be warned however, it's very cheesy and garlicky. The special of the evening was cornish hen, the accompaniments were great, but not a ton of flavour from the poultry. The Welsh Griddle cakes were a tasty appetizer, though more on the dessert side. I would liken then to scones. Great selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
Me and my husband went here the other night. The food was very good and well presented and the drinks were amazing. The waitress was also very nice and told about the specials
I am new to Guelph and went here for lunch with a friend. I ordered the vegan potato pizza and my friend ordered the salami pizza. We were both blown away at how good the food was. I was impressed by the amount of vegan options this place has and I will be back. We sat inside and felt very safe and spaced from others. Our server Quinn F was an absolute delight. He had a great personality, recommended a great wine, and added to our experience. Will go back and recommend to others.
Great meal at Miijidaa tonight. Interesting and unique menu featuring local ingredients. We enjoyed the halloumi, chicken sandwich and arugula and quinoa salad with tofu. The espresso Martini was also a treat. Can't wait to come back ☺️
I wanted a quick bite to eat after a hike, and I am so glad I went here. Who would have thought apple on pizza and cane cola would be such a killer combination. Food had a unique taste. Clean and welcoming atmosphere. Friendly customer service.
Good family restaurant. One of the best cozy places in town. The service was exceptionally great. Food was really nice and potions are fairly big. Their kids menu is also great and the desserts options are also great. They have indoor and outdoor patio tables available. The only issue is finding parking in downtown. Will give 5 Stars for this restaurant and will return again soon.
Great spot with lots of seating available and wheelchair accessible doors and patio. The decor is great and the menu is diverse without being too large. Only area for improvement is the desserts- they are not executed exceptionally well and I would say pass on them. Get the homemade sodas and iced tea instead!
Delicious food, pleasant service and a cool vibe.

Great Staff. Friendly, knowledgeable. Food was killer.
Food is always fresh and tasty. Great drink menu!
Love this place! It’s comfortable but not sloppy, it’s classy but not stuffy. And oh my goodness, if you want a life-changing experience, have the potato pizza!
I ordered the daily soup and spinach salad. Our excellent server talked us into the scotch eggs I'm so glad he did. Delicious!
Sometimes you happen to stumble upon a place with a warm, cozy setting that serves food that feeds the soul on a damp fall evening. Miijidaa is just that sort of place. The menu is thoughtfully assembled, preparation is impeccable and the tastes are so unique that you have to try it to believe it. The duck confit with blueberry gastrique was definitely a favourite at our table
