Here you will see all the information of real people who buy the products and services of La Cucina Ristorante (Restaurant) in the area close to Guelph (Canada).
As of day this business has a score of 4.6 over 5 and that score was based on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is nearly the top, and it's founded on a very high number of reviews, so we can be pretty sure that the evaluation is quite reliable. If people have bothered to value when they are happy with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to give evaluations when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant is classified in the category of Italian restaurant.
Spent a pleasant evening and nice dinner with co-workers. The restaurant is located in the very heart of downtime Guelph, just minutes of walk from the Basilica of our Lady Immaculate. It is a stylish Italian restaurant with authentic Italian cuisine. The server was very pleasant and efficient, the music appropriately quiet, the food just right. Had duck breast on baked squash. Excellent!
I highly recommend La Cucina! Food & Service amazing! The wine was good too!
Excellent restaurant! The food was phenomenal, the service excellent! They made a special occasion a little more special! Highly recommend!!!
My wife and I had our wedding ceremony/dinner at La Cucina. Bruno and Maria, and their team are the best! The food was phenomenal and plentiful as always - the service exceeded expectations - and as always, the mood, kindness, and culture was warm and welcoming. Whether you're going for a date night - or booking for an event - we highly recommend! Thanks again! Adam & Alli.
Excellent dinner. I highly recommend this place.
La Cucina was a favourite of my mother's, but we stopped going for several years after she could no longer manage the flight of stairs up to the dining room. We have been returning recently and I'm pleased to say that standards have not slipped. There is a comfortable dining room and, in summer, a terrace which is where we usually sit. The service is attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Many of the staff, including the owners and the chef, are Italian.
Amazing service and very understanding servers! And the environment is great (perfect for a date)!
Awesome place
The Slow Roasted Boar & Pan Fried Duck Breast were delightful. But it was the Tartufo Limoncello dessert that made the evening complete.
Burrata for appetizer....this is so delicious
One of the best fine dinning Reaturaunt in Guelph. Plan on a long visit.
This is my favourite restaurant in Guelph, the food is all handmade the day of so it's always fresh. The service is impeccable and always friendly. A few times we have visited we've been brought an appetizer free of charge with no explanation (on top than the bread served at every table). This is my go to when people first visit Guelph, I would recommend it to everyone
Love this place! Amazing food and wine and lovely owners!
If you are in Guelph for any period of time and do not eat here, you are cheating yourself.
Fantastic wine list and seafood dishes!!
Amazing Restaurant, food was fantastic and appetizers tasted great!
Great atmosphere and even better food
Very good food and service.
Will return!
Great staff. Great food and atmosphere.
Dinner
Amazing meal. Great service. A gem!
Amazing food and service. Very authentic food and probably one of the best restaurants in downtown Guelph! Highly recommend checking them out, they also have a really nice patio which is great to enjoy in the summer.
Absolutely fantastic, went there for my birthday and I couldn't be happier.
Excellent food every time
Lovely atmosphere with friendly hosts and delicious creations
Really nice patio seating area, definitely recommend it as a fancier date night spot or a family dinner. Food was really good, definitely recommend the lobster fettuccine Expect to pay a decent amount, but they also have special nights Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday
Service
My husband and I enjoyed a lovely evening with excellent service, delicious fresh seafood pasta and roast citrus chicken in a quiet elegant setting at La Cuchina on Saturday.
This place was cute, a little on the small side. I think insode could fit about 20 ppl- i saw the outdoor seating which looked super cute but was closed as it was still a bit chilly. The menu was surprisingly small an extensive wine list and salads, but maybe 4 pasta options and about 5 entree options. I got the Tagliatelle with lobster and shrimp it was delicious! The pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce was flavourful and not heavy.
Excellent food, superb table-side service. True Italian feel.
Half price wine on Tuesday was a nice benefit and nice atmosphere on the patio outside (minus the bees which seemed to be normal to them). The food was all beautiful yet found the Ravioli hardly warm when it arrived, it was definitely the first thing ready back there. I will say that it was nice to not have the flavors in the foods come from salt as so many restaurants seem to do. The Risotto was by far the best and most authentic thing going on the menu. Just like Nono and Nona used to make. Legit right down to the wild mushrooms! We enjoyed our dinner and the service was great until after our dinner arrived and then the waited seemed to disappear. He returned to see if we wanted dessert, which we were all too full for, and then proceeded to disappear for another half hour before returning so we could ask for our bill. I would go back for the Risotto. Cheers.
Okay, first I think the staff was wonderful. We had resos here for a special day. They put us outside, it was too cold and windy, so we came in. I got the wrong order brought to me after a really lengthy conversation about it with the server. I didn't say anything because I was kind of nervous to mention it, and also because it would have taken forever to get my original meal made. I ate the wrong meal I was given, which was my second choice but it was not great! I did not enjoy this experience even though I so wanted too! They were also setting up for the next day around us so it was distracting from the meal experience.
Amazing service and food. Homemade pasta was great as well as the chicken and vegetable dish. Wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be. We will definitely return.
Amazing food, service and decor! I highly recommend La Cucina.
Excellent food and great service!
Classy style of dealing
Always a great experience and exceptional food.
Don’t waste your time with this place. The customer service is awful. We supported La Cucina all throughout Covid ordering takeout. In the last few weeks suddenly they refuse to do takeout. We have attempted multiple times mid week with many hours notice and they turn us away with no remorse or thanks just state we are too busy. I’m very disappointed.
Loved it
Every day of the week they have specials, on Thursday, one entree and appetizers was only $35. I had a calamari salad because the seafood salad wasn't available. It was light and delicious! The pasta had shrimp and lobster, overall delicious. For dessert, I had the homemade creme brûlée , it was freshly made and it was delicious!
Had our Company Christmas party here last night and it was fantastic! Very attentive and friendly service. Personally had the T-bone and it was close to perfect! Great apps, Great atmosphere, highly recommend giving this place a try.
Best food, Great ambiance, fair prices $$$$
Friendly Staff, Relaxed Polished Atmosphere, Excellent Decadent Mousaka !
Excellent food and atmosphere. The food has wonderful complex flavour, and the portion sizes aren't too big. Highly recommended!
The food here is amazing however the service when we went was very poor. We waited for two hours after our meal was finished to get our bill.
Wonderful dining experience! The food was spectacular , I cant say enough about how great this restaurant is! We were greeted immediately, treated with the utmost courtesy and respect, all in a quaint and inviting atmosphere. We will defiantly be going back!
Food was delicious, wine pairing was excellent. Host was very friendly, bus staff were on top of everything, however our server was uninterested in serving us. It may have been because we were far younger than their usual cliental. He was not showing the same enthusiasm as he was at other tables, we were never asked how everything was tasting. Overall a good experience, the food will definitely be bringing us back!!
Best Italian food in Canada :) love the food and service!
love the pizza, my favourite is the Rustica!
Friendly staff, great food and atmosphere!
Pleasant surprise in downtown Guelph. Great atmosphere, incredible staff and a fantastic menu. Not a typical Italian restaurant...menu is varied and everything is fresh. Can't wait to go back here.
Wowww!!! The best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. And trust me, I have been to too many. The Fettuccine was incredible. The Ravioli was immense. The stuffed calamari with sea bass and corn, out of this planet. Everything was super fresh. The Caprese salad felt like Sicily and heaven combined. The Tiramisu!!! The best I have ever had. Everything was super fresh. The Music was so beautiful and classy. The view of downtown Guelph!!! Did I mention the cocktails?? Old Fashioned!!! The Martinis!!! Well done La Cuicina. Super well done. Thank you for a great dinner. I am so impressed. Not often that I leave a review but here you are. I hope Covid ends soon and more customers come out and enjoy this amazing place.
(Translated) Excellent!! (Original) Bravissimo!!
Food of Italy, genuine wines and terrific staff. I have never had a bad meal here.
I had their swordfish linguine and it was spectacular. The quality of the pasta was second to none. The atmosphere and service was excellent, so it should definitely be a top consideration for dates and special occasions. Try to get a table on the terrace.
I love the patio in the summer. The food is fabulous and selection of wine is always superb! One of our favorite spots in Guelph.
The food was delicious. The service was great. Very friendly staff. We attended a wedding there it was a great little place for an small wedding. I will for sure be going back!!! Over and over again
Just had a lovely takeout dinner for 4 with appetizers. Our original plan was to dine in but due to new covid measures and to resort to plan B. They did a great with the food, everything tasted great. Would recommend in a heartbeat
Bruno, and his beautiful wife, are the most wonderful restaurant owners. The place is absolutely stunning and the atmosphere is like a great European movie scene. The wait staff is exceptional. Completely. Their incredible Italian Chef (David), and his staff, bring true Italian cuisine to us here in Ontario. And it is absolutely World class. Don't deny yourself a chance to dine here before you die.
Amazing waitress; food was delicious. The house red was delightful. It was my sisters birthday and we lucked out on the half price bottle Tuesday deal. Would recommend to anyone who likes classy Italian dining!
The Italian food here is delicious and makes me feel like I'm eating in Italy! The staff are wonderful and the ambiance is lovely.
Great wine, amazing food. A very nice team. It also have a good quality / price relation.
Incredible experience! Amazing service and authentic food make this gem the best Italian restaurant on this side of the Atlantic! STOP reading this post and go now! Bring la familia!
Always a pleasure to have a meal at La Cucina. Delicious food made with high quality ingredients and excellent wines as compliments. A true gem.
Total Italian experience. Love the staff and food!!!
Easily the most authentic Italian restaurant I've been to in North America.
Delicious food and excellent service.
The attention to detail they have is amazing, the staff is always attentive and welcoming. The roof top patio is one of my favourite patios in the city. I always prefer to make a reservation, and I do enjoy that they are open later than most fine dining restaurants in the area, truly a European feel. At times though, I find the sauces used can be a bit too rich and over powering, competing with the other flavours. Aside from that one little issue, that is just a personal opinion, I have no complaints. I have always had wonderful experiences and service here. Highly recommend.
Not one bad thing to say about the place. I've been to Italy and it's like being back there. Love the place.
The food and service were fabulous. Went back a few times and the food never failed to wow me. The stuffed calamari (if you like calamari of course) were delicious. The pasta marinara was cooked perfectly and dessert (chocolate cake my favourite) was super tasty. Service always great every time we went.
Lovely place and lovely owners. Good dishes, truly Italian; worm welcome and excellent service. Surely a place to visit in Guelph and an excellent choice for where to have a nice dinner. Recommended also for a romantic dinner with the relative other: surely a suitable place!
Lovely food Excellent customer service
The good food was really let down by our poor quality server. We went here for our 10th anniversary and while the food was good the server we had (a lady in her 50s, possibly the owner) just seemed too distracted and forgetful. We saw another server waiting on the other tables near by and he was just in a different league. He was attentive to his tables and always seemed to be moving. Our server forgot about our water, our bread, then our bread refill, then part of one of our orders. She just wasn't tuned in at all. Ultimately the food was nice but we won't be going back as I couldn't take the gamble on the service again.
I'm a chef so I'm very picky. The food was very good. Service was fast and friendly. They even provide a complimentary appetizer. Great vibe.
Very very good food. All 10 of us loved the place.
Price, but it is worth every penny
Great food and wine
Service was very good, lovely view, food was amazing, sadly it was very empty. Maybe as it's upstairs?
Amazing food and atmosphere. Our server was wonderful as well!
This is my go to place for my birthday dinner. Had dinner there tonight and the service was as amazing as always! They have vegetarian options and are able to substitute some of the dishes that have meat to be veg. This rooftop patio is my favorite place in Guelph. Thanks again La Cucina!!
Meal type
Great food. Quite expensive.
last night was our first time we visited this place. But It is absolutely not the last. We passed a splendid evening with the attentive service, with the magnificent dishes and booze and with the comfortable payment. We will definitely visit there soon.
Everything I had was excellent, severs always friendly. Amazing food but the portions are on the small side. We need at least a 3 corse meal here and the wine...
We heard the resteraunt was nice and the reviews were good so we decided to check it out. There was no hours posted out front, no closed sign, and the door was unlocked so we decided to go in. It was 4:30pm and everyone stared at us like we were the problem. “Excuse me?” I said, “are you open?”. He had only one response “you don’t belong here. This is not what you’re looking for”. Extremely unprofessional and rude, could have just said we’re closed. Profiled me and my friend as poor students who were not worthy of their resteraunt. Completely degrading experience. Don’t eat here if you think that’s an appropriate way to treat people. There are other equally good Italian resteraunt to eat at in Guelph that I felt welcomed in such as Buon Gusto’s. I highly recommend Buon Gusto’s.
Great good great service, 5!5!
AMAZING!! Sergio is the best! Best mothers day dinner EVER! we will be back 110%
Very small choice of food... The food was very bland, my wife and I will not be returning
Shameful and racist! Avoid if you're darker than a sheet of paper. A racist server would not allow myself or my Latin girlfriend inside the establishment. We were well dressed and present for 9:30. After stating that they were "closed" he then told us to "go downstairs" where the Latin American grocer was. Appalling behaviour and ruined our night.
Servers friendly and very efficient - we were drinking wine within 10 minutes of arrival. Good wine list too. I was looking forward to the authentic lasagna but it was not available so the server offered an alternate - penne with leeks, mushrooms in wine sauce. I trusted his recommendation but it was underwhelming unfortunately. My husband's negroni spaghetti and clams was very good, however. We were hoping for creme brulé and pannacotta for dessert - both on the menu as they are classic Italian fare, but neither were available (!)I guess they ran out of custard? The tiramisu I ordered still had a frozen core, and was slathered in chocolate sauce a la East Side Marios -- could have done without the sauce. Maybe we'll try dining here one more time to see if this experience is just a one-off.
Absolutely incredible location. The food was very flavourful, the service was impeccable and the patio atmosphere is stunning!
Delicious and great service! Had the filet mignon, clams and the lobster fetuccini. We had a birthday so they brought us a limoncello shot. Nice patio. Always a good time.
La Cucina is one of the top restaurants in the city. It's a go to for me for business clients or special occasions like birthdays. Top end Italian food, including seafood and steaks. I can't imagine anyone would go away feeling that they received less than fantastic food while having a meal there.
Great service and Food!!
Awesome restaurant, food and service
It has been a while since have been able to return. Always enjoy. Great food and service. Thank you
Great food but The atmosphere is where its at!
Excellent food & very personable service
Such an amazing service and food
Nice staff and nicer Italian food
This place is awesome! Food and service were so good and the atmosphere was fabulous. Operates according to the Covid guide lines. Highly recommended this restaurant with five stars and will come back again.
fine dining but would not accept a December reservation for less than a party of 12. Boo!
Very expensive but very good !!!
Beautiful in every way food wine service atmosphere
I was happy with everything.
Top notch food. I crave the fresh pasta when I haven't visited in a couple weeks. Yes the service is slow-ish but it's a slow-food style of restaurant. Sit back, have a glass of wine, and relax. You'll taste more of your delicious meal.
This is one of my favourite restaurants in Guelph! The photo is amazing I especially love the homemade pasta! Thanks La Cucina for making going out fun and delicious!
Absolutely one of the best New Years Eve meals! Entire meal, atmosphere and staff just great. Highly recommend for a great night out.
The freshness and quality of ingredients were outstanding. The Burrata was creamy and rich and indulgent. The tavolozza di salumi was just right I took my time savoring every bite. Our waiter Michael reccomend some outstanding wine and had great energy. The atmosphere on the patio was relaxed and inviting.
Waiter did not ask us what we wanted to drink, did not introduce himself. We had to ask another waiter for water and cheese. I had the pasta with lobster and shrimp, I had one shrimp. Restaurant is very dusty. Didn't get asked if we wanted refills of drinks or nothing. Dessert was delicious. Appetizer could use two cheeses on the chicuterie board. I'm not sure if we will return, but I think I would give it another go. Service needs to be better.
So awesome! We didnt have a reso but they accomodated us and the service, food, and atmosphere were fabulous
Dine in
Easily the best place to eat in Guelph. It's expensive, but worth it. The menu, the wine list, the surroundings, the staff, have all been consistently excellent. It's small and intimate. The staff have enough time to understand your needs and to cater to them. The menu is intelligently put together and well executed. I can't think of a single thing this place could do better.
Brilliant.
Great ambiance...service and food
Delightfully Italian! Yet, they use regional ingredients. I stepped into a dark hallway with pictures along it, went up a staircase and at a landing fell into a large bustling second floor restaurant...it is not wheelchair accessible. The Maitre D quickly found us a spot on their rooftop patio. He quickly prepared our table with a fresh table cloth and cloth napkins...I always like these! We had a caprese salad which was delicious, though a small portion, and fresh warm bread. The duck ragu gnocchi and tagliatelle with lobster were homemade, fresh and delicious. Service was pleasantly slow but attentive...we never felt rushed nor was anyone hovering. Deserts and after dinner drinks were on a separate menu. My panna cotta was light, pleasantly sweetened and fruity and nicely complemented by my double espresso. We ate in front of a large photo mural of Positano on the Amalfi coast...lovely touch.
Food and staff were amazing!
A good experience but disappointed in the ravioli...tough with minuscule filling. Need to revamp that.
Excellent quality and big portions. The teremesso is home made and the best ever.
Lovely place with great food
This was our first time dinning at La Cucina but it won’t be our last. It was so pleasantly surprising how quaint the atmosphere and how amazing and thoughtful the service. The food was delicious!!! My spouse enjoyed a steak and I had the pasta dish ....simply amazing. Would definitely go back and bring the family.
Love the food and the atmosphere is always great.
I came with my wife for her Christmas party reunion and we all had an amazing time. The food was great with excellent presentation, the stuff was very friendly and professional and the desserts... oh the desserts... they were delicious... one better than the other ????????????????????
Itailian food, wine and service. The complete experience of Italy, makes it easy to forget your actually in Canada for a few hours.
Everything was prepared to perfection.
This restaurant has it all. Starting with the delightful Maître d’ who greets you as if if your family. He leads to a lovely table setting with white crisps table cloths and napkins and sparkling stemware. The open concept kitchen to dinning room is refreshing and airy. If you are looking for delicious Italian cuisine you’ll find it here. From appetizers to main and of course desert. I had the ravioli delicious!
The food was fantastic. Definitely will come back.
Went in with high expectations, left feeling disappointed. The menu is very limited. The appetizer selection is limited, the pasta selection is limited, and some of the most appealing mains were not available the night we went. The pasta is very expensive (~$30 per pasta) for the taste (lacks flavour, salt, heavily oiled [not sure why]) and the quantity. The tiramisu was terrible. Not sure how they can even call that tiramisu in an Italian restaurant. No salt on the table, had to ask for salt. No water on table either. Waitress didn’t seem to care that our table had no drinks. The service was terrible for a “fine dining” establishment. The plates on our table had black dirt (dust?) and some kind of residue on them. The tables and chairs are not “high end” dining like others described here in these reviews. Overall, wouldn’t go back. For a $400 dinner, it was very disappointing.
Very great and friendly service Food was delicious, though I asked for my steak medium it came very rare. But other then that, everything else was great
Excellent food although the rabbit could have been better served deboned. Service very attentive.
Had the lasagna and it was fabulous. Appetizers were a little off the wall (ie tomato and cheese tower). An upscale restaurant that provides quality but not quantity. Only dislike - very slow service for only 10 people in the restaurant.
My favourite restaurant on planet earth. The food is impeccable, service outstanding, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Highly recommend!
Amazing food! Amazing service! Highly highly recommend!!
They offer a fantastic variety of delicious food. I enjoyed eating here. The employees are always very welcoming, rates are fair and the place is always well organised.
Sorry to say, this restaurant at which I had a wonderful meal 2 years ago, was a huge disappointment. This time I tried the pasta - their feature. It was a frutti di Mari in Marinara. Sadly the pasta was less than al dente - thick pasta dough, undercooked; served starchy and off-warm. The shrimp was chewy, the Sea bass was indistinguishable (probably not there at all) the calamari tasteless. Not that keen on mussels but preferred them to the pasta. I was hungry, I ate the seafood and about half the pasta. If I had been hosting (was a guest this evening) I’d have sent my plate back to the kitchen and ordered something else. The wine list is very good for a small place - enjoyed a glass of Pecorino (White) and Barbera (red) with dinner. The service was friendly, but failed to get my meal to the table at its best. Not to be horrible, but even if it had, I couldn’t have described it as good; certainly not worth recommending. Sorry, but in the past. you gave me reason to expect a higher standard.
We ordered their special on New Year's Eve and it was one of the best meals we've ever had! We highly recommend this restaurant. Can't wait until we can dine inside. The best! Carol and Rob
Awesome service and food!!
Yummy
Ukrainians serving mediocre pasta not worth the visit however they were pleasant
Food was excellent
Great food and wonderful atmosphere on the upper roof patio.
Pasta was very good, not excellent. I appreciated it's homemade as it tasted beautifully, positive point for that. Also appreciated the Tuesday wine 50% off special. The dessert was definitely the weakest of the night. Also the other plates on the table were OK, not remarkable. For a $28 pasta plate I expect to be absolutely brilliant. Good job though, place is beautiful and very good food.
La Cucina, what a place! If you come to Guelph or are relatively close, you can't miss this restaurant, it's a must!! We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday and everything was spectacular!! As an appetizer we order the Burrata, Carpaccio and the Tavolozza di Salumi. For our entrees, Lasagneal al Tartufo, Porchetta Affumicata, Filetto al Barolo and Coniglio al Ginepro, so tasty, so well seasoned, so PERFECT!
I HATE IT!
Guelph had a LOT of good Italian restaurants. This is definitely one of them. And ad a tiramisu connoisseur, they've nailed it. Well done.
Authentic Italian fine dining.
Highly recommended
Great food and a pleasant atmosphere
We had our daughters baptism celebration on the rooftop at La Cucina. We can't speak highly enough of how happy we are with the food, service, and ambience here. Every single person LOVED their food, including the incredible antipasto. The service was absolutely top notch as well! This is the best restaurant in Guelph in my opinion and might be the best restaurant I've been to in any country...it reminded me of being in a restaurant in Rome, but honestly even better.
Always a delicious meal (ravioli, caprese salad and seafood pasta are some of our favourites). Among the best service in the city. Especially wonderful when it is warm enough to sit on the patio.
Kitchener location has the best authentic wood fired pizza you will ever try outside Italy, Guelph location is more fine dining. Either location is highly recommended
Best patio, service and of course the food is amazing! Look forward to going when we are in Guelph
Had the mignon it was the best I ever had. It was so soft and full of flavor. A bit pricy but so worth it.
Lovely Italian restaurant with attentive staff. Traditional food with a homestyle warmth and an uncomplicated presentation.
This is by far my favourite Italian restaurant in town. Service was impeccable. Food was better than the service. A couple of notes for some people.... This is a fine dining restaurant. Dress accordingly and be certain to have the appropriate payment available, as it will be approx $75 per person for app, drink, dinner and dessert. They only do two seatings a day. Call and get a reso for either 5 or 8 I believe. This is very much a European style restaurant. You are not being ignored by your server, you are simply not being rushed out of the place so they can seat another table. You can take your time, enjoy your food and talk. It's not a place to go and pound back a meal in 35 minutes. Try the pasta. It's to die for.
Great food, atmosphere and service.
I used to live across the street and would frequent this place weekly. The only complaint sometimes that my wife and I couldn't find seating to sit in and would have to take out.yeah, it is a little more pricey than Tim's or any of those value chains, but the personal and sincere service from the ladies behind the counter and the quality of food is much higher.
This was one of my best experiences I've had in two years. After a lovely patio tour of downtown Guelph, La Cucina was our dinner destination. We arrived 15 minutes early, (I apologize) yet they were unfazed, and had us seated within 5 minutes. After a longing stare at the beautiful dining area, we were seated on the heavenly roof-top patio. We were gifted an amazing server named Lex and she was so fun to talk with. Our night could not have been more perfect. Hats off to the kitchen, the food is so good. Started with the charcuterie board because it's just wrong to miss that. My friend had the seafood pasta and let me try it. Amazing. I went full send and ordered the filet mignon and I may have teared up a bit. It was as tender as slicing through butter and cooked exactly rare. I regret not asking to thank the chef directly. I hope this review gets to the amazing people working there most of all. Thank you <3
La Cucina has a wonderful atmosphere and great staff. It was a great to be out on the patio! We enjoyed our appetizers and drinks immensely and the dessert was also quite delicious. The three of us in our party all had the filet mignon, as it was the amazing $36 app and main deal. I ordered my steak to be done med-well, and found that it was not evenly cooked and fairly underdone. This was true of each of our parties’ steaks - we still ate them because it was a good cut of meat! (We did not feel the need to send back as parts where we started were cooked correctly, but the centers were underdone.) Overall, still great, and we will be back to try the pasta!!
Great food and service
Great patio. Excellent see ercice. Oh, and the food is great.
Amazing food and service. Right from Bruno, Sergio, and the entire staff made us feel welcomed and appreciated.
Finally a place that feels like we just picked up where we left off.
This tucked away restaurant with Guelph's only rooftop patio is one of my favourites for Italian dishes. Great Menu and an incredible experience from the food to the service. When patio's reopened in Guelph during the Covid'-19 Pandemic, this patio took extra care to separate tables and make you feel safe, and at home.
Being born and raised in Italy, I've always been reluctant to eat at Italian restaurants. La Cucina was actually my first time eating Italian food in Ontario, and I couldn't go to a better place! The food is delicious and prepared with a lot of attention.
It was good food but just not my favourite Italian food. I had the Orange Roughy Special....maybe a bit over but the way it was served just not to my style or liking. I know it is a Northern Italian way and it was done correctly to that standard but not something I loved.
Ambience is good. Service is excellent. Our group ate from all over the menu. All the flavours were quite good and the presentation of each dish was top-notch. Four stars only because I've had better rabbit and lamb. Each was quite good but far from extraordinary.
Great pizza, our server was very helpful
Amazing but not for vegetarians
Presentation and general atnosphere were nice but I and the party i was with had a awful time. First there was a bug in our wine when they brought it out and it took them about 10 minutes to replace it. Then our "meals" showed up. If you think 4 undercooked ravioli is a meal. And then on top of all that I got food poisoning from that meal and was stuck in the washroom for the rest of the night. So. All in all a nice looking place with overpriced and undercooked very small portions of food. I can guarantee the 8 of us will not return.
My boyfriend and I had a good time. This is a fine dining Italian restaurant so the food and beverages will be very expensive. You may end up paying $50 + for two people. I tried mussels for the first time and they were not bad (I’m usually a picky eater). My pasta was delicious. We had a bottle of wine. The staff is very professional and kind.
This is the place in Guelph for authentic Italian food.
Amazing ambiance and super great food. Will definitely be revisiting
The patio was very pleasant and the food was delicious. Staff was pleasant and efficient. We would certainly dine there again.
Probably one of the best if not the best Italian resto's in Guelph. Food is amazingly fresh and flavourful. Atmosphere is elegant. Services is amazing.
Fabulous The food and staff are amazing.
Great food and atmosphere. If u are looking for a higher end place to eat in Guelph, this is it.
No big deal
so happy to be back again on the lovely roof top and it is still very good service and consistently good food! lamb chops are to die for! I love this place!
