I have been disappointed with Thai food in Toronto and decided to try My Thai while in Guelph. This will be one of our regular spots. The server was very pleasant, attentive and helpful. H had a great smile. The tom yum soup was very fragrant and flavourful. It hit the spot! the rest of the food was equally fresh and flavourful. Thank you! We will be back.

Our order was super-speedy and super delicious. And nice and hot! Wish I had grabbed you some pictures before we we ate it. I loved the Tom Kha soup with chicken. we also ordered the platter for to the red curry with chicken and one dish with pepper sauce can't remember the name. All super tasty. We also ordered the jasmine rice as we didn't realize it came with some complimentary rice. Enough food for a couple meals. We will definitely be ordering from them again.

I walked in for take out on a Thursday night. The woman behind the bar was very friendly and quick to say hello. My food didn't take very long at all and was delicious! The fresh rolls were like little rolls of heaven. Will definitely eat here again !

There is very good Thai food here. The waiters and staff are quite interested in helping me and give great service which matches the great food. I always have a nice time here I will definitely go back, perhaps tomorrow evening. The food was absolutely great. Really friendly staff. Many good options to choose from. We will definitely go back soon! Closes at 10 pm so it is also a great option after hanging-out downtown.

I have had Thai at quiet a few places now, but this one is the best till date. Decent menu to chose from and the service was good as well. The food was the best of lot. Must visit if you are in mood for authentic Thai.

Small, nice and clean corner good for a quick bite. Orderd tom yom soup and was not much to my expectations after i had eating at many other places. Adding few more types of vegs, little more spicy and fresh broth would have sealed the deal. Staff was nice and polite.

Nice little Thai restaurant in downtown Guelph. Service was good and food was really tasty. Portions sizes are average and prices are also good. Serve only Singha beer and wines. Only issue here is less parking in the downtown area. Will recommend this restaurant with five stars.

I love the owner here. They are always there and somehow remember me and my dietary needs even if it's been months since my last visit. Once they made me a non-dairy Thai tea with lime and it was so simple but SO good. They also are one of the few places I can get mango sticky rice regularly which is one of my favourite desserts. Exceptional flavours! We tried this place on a hunch. Saw the good google reviews and ordered in. Best decision this week..... Firstly, the online ordering system was such a pleasure to use. Made it easy and no confusion about what we ordered and no phone calls etc. Loved it. Secondly, and more importantly. The food. We ordered Pad Thai with two meats and the Massaman curry with shrimps. Also, ordered the coconut sticky rice. The quantities were very large and sufficient for 2-3 people with voracious appetites. The Pad Thai was so good my hubby refused to share more than a couple of bites!! :) The Massaman curry was just the right amount of spicy (I ordered it spicy) and sweet and creamy and yummy-ness! The shrimp was a succulent and not rubbery and the coconut sticky rice was the best. Flavourful without being overwhelmingly coconut-y. With the curry it hit all the right spots. We will be coming back for sure. As avid foodies we are so glad to have found such amazing Thai food in Guelph. Will be raving to all my friends about it. Be prepared for a rush of new customers coming your way! Wishing them continued success in these hard times. We'll be doing our bit and coming back soon.

Natural light into the space is often blocked by a large banner, We visited My Thai for the first time and were pleasantly surprised with the food. I had red curry with chicken. Took my fussy mother out to lunch. Quick service, EXCELLENT meal. One if the best panang curry dishes I've ever had. Totally fresh ingredients and good portion size. Mother had cashew chicken and she loved it too. I'm a picky Thai eater, so when I find an exceptional one, I'm happy to review it. Also Family run And chef came out and asked every table How their meal was ( btw, place was packed/ super busy)

I wish I could have given them a zero. I am not the person to ever complain on restaurant service. (I was a restaurant owner myself) i know how hard it is to maintain product consistency. So if I call and complain that you sent a bland standard version of my request to make the meal spicy and their response was they will do better next time. This was the 3rd 'mess up' on food and delivery as well and I let them know that when I complained and they refused to provide any compensation. NEVER AGAIN

Edit: I have changed my review from 2 stars to 5. I am accustomed to having to lower my expectations but in this case I have high praise. The owner read my review and apologized for the problem of not delivering food in a proper time. He asked for a chance to prove himself and I accepted. I am very happy that I did. We arranged a pickup so as to avoid the constant problems with delivery. I arrived and announced I was there for my pickup and the owner came out to talk to me and apologized again. I drove home with the marvelous smells in my car. When I opened the package there were 4 spring rolls, red curry with vegetables and tofu, Singapore noodles, and eggplant delight. There was also some white rice for the curry. The red curry was fragrant, rich, and nicely spicy. The vegetables were cooked just right and kept their own character and contributed to the complicated flavors in the sauce. The tofu was nicely fried and had a nice texture. This was one of the best red curries I have had. The Singapore noodles were a surprise. I expected some neutral flavored mix with veggies. Nope! These had a unique flavor like one can expect from good Thai food. Even the tofu had a different character than what was in the red curry. I will get this again without a doubt. The eggplant delight was exactly that, a delight. The eggplant was beautifully sauteed and the whole dish had a completely different character and flavor profile. I did not expect this to be so good. The spring rolls were good but were far out-classed by the rest of the meal. I can give my highest recommendations for Eat Thai and I highly respect the owner for stepping up and correcting the problem I had before. I will be back, many times. Original review, now here only for continuity: I can't leave a 1 star because I didn't get a chance to taste the food. I ordered for delivery at 6:19 pm and had a confirmed delivery for 7pm. I received a message at 6:50pm that the food was ready. Around 7:10 I saw that the food was on it's way. Ok, not a big deal because it is Valentine's day and they are probably busy. At 7:45 I gave up after trying to call them 2 times and getting nothing but an answering machine. My wife and I put a couple frozen pizzas in the oven because we figured they forgot us. Well, at 8:15pm the door bell rang..... I am sorry to say that I refused the order and didn't pay. The delivery guy looked surprised and told me that the food was hot and fresh, 1 hour and 25 minutes after I was messaged it was ready. I want to feel bad but I really can't because waiting for 1 hour and 15 minutes after the food to arrive was too much and someone was lying about the times the food was ready or when it was dispatched. Maybe in the future I will try this place again but my experiences with delivery in Guelph have not been very good.

I ventured out yesterday Sunday 22nd 2021 Quick in and out of mall, just about to exit and there was Thai Express, in Guelph, I have had the red curry in the past, from other locations, Mississauga, Toronto and was always very good. So with lockdown and knowing what businesses are going through, I decided to patronize and ordered take out. Got to my car, open the box of red curry shrimp, three string, green bell pepper and onions, with 98% tasteless rice. It’s tough for these businesses, but how on this planet they expect to keep customers, I would never ever recommend this location to anyone. Sorry. Maybe trying a different strategy, downsize in quantity and upsize in quality, keep the authentic receipt, make sure it’s so tasty that customers will come back for more. Might be a sacrifice, but will sure be a good approach for rebuilding. Well that’s my take on that!

ordered take out - beef pad thai, Singapore noodle, tom yum soup. Tom Yum Soup: good blend of spices, very flavorful Beef Pad thai: big portion, pad thai noodle is thicker, not as much peanut sauce as other places, it's different but still good! Singapore noodle: BIG portion, it's on a yellow curry base, very flavorful, my favorite. I would order from this place again for sure!

The best thai resturant ever. Cant recommend the pad Thai - beef and Peanut curry - chicken enough ❤️ Truly the most authentic I’ve ever had, and the curry is phenomenal! Cashew stirfry is also very tasty almond with the Thai iced tea. The owners and staff are always great! Weekends do get very busy, with a bit of a wait but is very worth it

Had dinner there for the first time. Very good, fresh Thai food. The Pad Thai has a nice nice tamirand flavor vs a tomato base (thankfully... Seriously what's up with that tomato flavor?). The drunken noodles were pleasantly spiced.. not to hot but a little more tingle. Nice fresh veggies. Overall good quality. Very nice service from a very overworked server. Look forward to going back and trying the curries.

My friend and I had lunch today. The drunken really sucks and we ordered drunken with shrimp which cost us 14 but only has 5 shrimp in it. The vegetables were not cooked either. Bad bad experience. Never go there again.

The place was freezing. Food did not taste right! They did make sure that we got mild sauce for the granddaughter that was with us, so that was sweet. Waitress was very sweet. I have dined in before and the experience has been good but just ordered the same dish from Skip The Dishes and it was terrible. The sauce was cold and runny and the dish comes with rice when I dined in, but I did not get rice this time. Save your money and get better Thai on York rd.

The service was great. The waitress was friendly and attentive. I had the Siam chicken noodle soup and was unimpressed. It consisted of rice noodles, chicken, green onions, bean sprouts, bock choy, shredded carrots. The broth was bland the chicken was a strange rubbery texture, noodles were good. It really could use a bump in flavor (ie cilantro and basil). the spring rolls were lacking as well. Extremely small and lacking filling also very bland.

Had the Mango Salad, vegan Pad Thai and another veggie dish (I forget the name - but had to do with garlic) for takeout. Taste-wise all were okay. Mango was not ripe and mixed the nuts were soggy because were added on instead of given separately. Portions were relatively small for the price point. Not impressed by quality, especially in comparison to other local Thai food establishments. Did not seem like much care/thought went into the food. Maybe this was because it was a takeout order? Slightly disappointed, especially after hearing good things. Regardless, staff was friendly and knowledgable when answering all of my questions!

The dining experience kicked off with some delicious lumps of fried crab meat sitting atop a bed of edible pipe cleaners which me and my date shamelessly devoured infront of each. After roughly ten minutes of starting at a painting of the Buddha I was delighted to find my meal had come and began to dig in. I decided after an initial taste that I should feed some to my date. In horror, I watched as she collapsed to the floor and convulsed in pain. The spice was killing her. I knew what I had to do. I reached for a rogue pineapple sitting discarded among a bed of rice on her plate. But my hand stuttered. "Not now - I must be brave". I crouched down and did the only thing I could think of. I fed her some pineapple. After what seemed like a lifetime of waiting her eyes began to open and the colour returned to her cheeks.. A cheer erupted in the dining hall from the crowd that had now formed around us. The manager stepped out to greet me. " We'll take the bill" I said. He replied "heroes eat for free at my thai". All in all a decadent meal. I left my hat though so 3 stars.

The service is great (order taking and pick up only; we haven't dined in there), and very quick (Friday at 5 pm) and the food is decent, the value is decent. Last time we ordered thai spring rolls (VERY good texture), pad thai (very good, and a hit with our two and four yr olds), yellow curry with tofu and vegetables (decent flavour, tofu had nice texture), Leaf Lime Curry with beef (decent overall). Total came to just over $50. Note for kids: we asked for all dishes to be made mild, but there was still some kick to their yellow curry, which they tried to temper by eating with the rice. Not quite as tasty as the amazing Na Ha Thai's Kitchen, but it satisfies our thai cravings, and with speed and slightly better value.

I went to My Thai for the first time today and I had the Tom Yum soup which was exceptional. Every spoonful lifted the spirit and put a smile on my face. Im looking forward to go back and try some other dishes. Here I am writing again February 2, 2019 because I need to share my experiences with everyone who might be interested to eat here at My Thai Guelph..well, let me start by saying that since the first time I went to this quaint restaurant in Guelph, my wife and I are hooked. We have been going back at least once a week ever since. The food is simply amazing and every time we eat here, the craving sets in to go back only days later. It's really amazing because no other restaurant either of us has ever went to has had this affect on either of us. The freshness and the flavor that comes through with every bite to the amazing service I get, leaves me with a level of satisfaction and an impression in my mind that keeps me craving for more days after. I know that I can't get better value for flavor my money elsewhere in Guelph or surrounding area. So many times we have been out somewhere getting hungry and poder where to go and My Thai we always end up going to My Thai because the anticipation of getting that first bite is exciting....it really never gets old because every dish is great. The food simply speaks for itself and I know most that go here will be repeat customers it's just that good! Enjoy!.

If you want to be amazed by this tiny gem in downtown Guelph then you have to treat yourself to the Thai Peanut Curry! Oh my gosh it’s amazing! And consistently amazing at that! We’ve had it several times and pair it with the chicken sa tay, vegan spring rolls and fresh rolls! This is ‘Are You Kidding Me?’ good!!!

Just got a spicy vegetarian Pad Thai from this restaurant. Delicious! One of the best I have ever had. It was so perfectly spicy that I didn’t even have to add any Sriracha. I highly recommend. I will be back for the Pad Thai and to try more stuff.

Wonderful for take out! Their pad Thai was great - could maybe use a bit more sauce if it’s coming home to eat, but otherwise no complaints. The pineapple curry was made extra spicy and was delicious! Will definitely be back. :)

This is our favourite restaurant in Guelph! They serve real authentic Thai dishes with fresh ingredients and the service is always good!! We will be coming back to try every dish :) *Update* 2 years later: My rating is STILL 5 stars and as a Guelph Foodie, this is still my favourite restaurant. We tried the curry and it was so flavourful and had such depth. The owners have big hearts and I wish the best for them and their business.

I keep going back to this place, because the food DOESNT taste like it was frozen, then tossed into the deep fryer. Order ahead for pickup, or takeout if youd like as well. Friendly staff, nice environment for a small resturaunt. Decently priced, large menu.

Ordered from them on skipthedishes at 7:05, it's now 8:20 and I just got off the phone with them saying it would be another 15-20 minutes. I pointed out that this would be a very long wait, she just said "ok sorry yeah have a good night", no offer of compensation. Sucks! We're hungry! Still waiting on it now. Update apparently there was a miscommunication with phone calls but regardless the food is sub-par at best. Coconut sticky rice just tastes like regular rice and pad Thai is dry & tastes like BARNYARD SOMEHOW? I'm heartbroken.

This is excellent Thai food. The aromas brought me right back to when I lived in Thailand years ago. We enjoyed our green curry, pad Thai, and Tom Kha soup so much that I told my husband, “This feels like medicine for my soul.” I’d had a rough day and this meal fixed everything. To the owners/chefs: thank you for the hard work you do every day; cooking authentic Thai food requires much time and effort. There are no pics in this review because I would have had to stop eating to grab my camera and that was not happening.

AH-MAY-ZING! Probably the best yellow curry I've ever had, and I've had my fair share. I'm not usually in Guelph but now when I'm in town I'll have a go to spot! We also tried all their appetizers and the Royal scallop which was amazing! I can't wait to come back and eat through their menu!

*******Be careful to make sure to follow the actual right address for Eat Thai as there is a phishing site under the exact same name and even has the actual address/phone number of the actual restaurant on their 'EatThaiGuelph' website. Before ordering, perhaps call the restaurant to ensure you have the right site. They are in the process off fixing the issue. We are still supporting the restaurant and won't let a couple of maggot scammers get in the way of us supporting local and eating great food! I put 5 stars as this is not the restaurants fault and as per usual the food was outstanding.

I have been disappointed with Thai food in Toronto and decided to try My Thai while in Guelph. This will be one of our regular spots. The server was very pleasant, attentive and helpful. H had a great smile. The tom yum soup was very fragrant and flavourful. It hit the spot! the rest of the food was equally fresh and flavourful. This is perfect for a quick business lunch. We were in and out in an hour, the staff was friendly! We enjoyed thai fried rice, spring rolls and pad Thai! Thank you! We will be back.

Went here post-graduation for a meal with my family. Turned out to be their second day in operation. Surprised by how great the service was. Definitely get the appetizer platter - Good, delicious spread. The tom yum soup was one of the best I've had for a while. Their pad thai is excellent as well. Restaurant itself looks a bit dingy but they are new and the food is top-notch

The best Thai restaurant I've ever experienced in Canada. Did an 8 month academic year abroad in Thailand and Eat Thai flooded me with nostalgia through the smells and flavors. There are many good and great Thai restaurants, but none have come close to making me feel I was right back there. They also have Khao Soi now, which is a lovely northern Thai dish! My favourite Thai restaurant and my favourite restaurant in all of Guelph hands down.

The food, which we had delivered, arrived hot and so amazingly tasty. We ordered several dishes to share and everything was awesome (pad sui beef, won ton soup, street noodles, spring rolls, mango salad and yellow curry with coconut rice). Everything was great and we had a lot of left overs! Great the next day too. Will order again.

Amazing food, great service, lots of gluten free options, accomodate dietary needs very well. It is Celiac friendly (make sure to ask which items to get to avoid cross contamination). They do not have a patio but the neighbor's patio is usable. Spring rolls had a lot of dough and barely any filling however their yellow curry and pad thai is top notch

Best Tom yum soup ever! We had lemongrass chicken, basil fried rice, drunken noodles and everything was good food wise. The restaurant was very cold though because the heater wasn’t working but they gave us a small space heater which didn’t heat up the area too well. Other than that service was good!

Due to COVID our option was take out or delivery. My wife and I opted to pick our order up. We had deep fried spring rolls (vegan), vegetable tofu Panang, and vegetable tofu drunken noodles. Everything was amazing, fresh and hot. The drunken noodles were the best with a good amount of heat. Spring rolls were crispy and not oily. The Panang had layers of aromatic flavor that were awesome. Rice cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend and will visit again.

Love this restaurant! So much flavour and I love the food quality. I pretty much order the same thing every time and it has become a staple in our house. Tom yum soup, crab cream cheese won tons, beef Singapore noodles (love this dish!) And the drunken noodles (very spicy but delicious). The food is always hot and fresh whether I do pick up or delivery. The pad Thai isn't my favorite but everything else that we have tried on the menu is delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant!

The service was great. The waitress was friendly and attentive. I had the Siam chicken noodle soup and was unimpressed. It consisted of rice noodles, chicken, green onions, bean sprouts, bock choy, shredded carrots. The broth was bland the chicken was a strange rubbery texture, noodles were good.

FANTASTIC FOOD!! Ive eaten from a variety of different Thai food places in the past and this one is by far my favourite. It's really too bad I live so far away from it. This family owned restaurant had the nicest people there greeting us and take our order. Next time I visit Guelph I'll defientily be coming back because I really do miss those Singapore noodles.
