The waitress screwed up the same order twice and literally didn't know what it means to have baked pasta. Then when I get it, the sauce was super greasy and I could barely eat 1/3 of the meal. Absolutely lousy pasta. One of the worst I've ever had.

Well where can we start... empty restraunt they had us wait to figure out a place to sit 6 people.... ordering drinks ran out of iced tea...water it was.... food came out all at different times... kids mac and cheese $7...straight outta the box from the grocery store $0.97... fish and chips ran out of coleslaw and the fries were cold and was only 10 on the plate.... split a plate of nachos with my wife they came out with an unknown liquid cheese on them We ordered a beef topping which was burnt and greasy. We didnt get a quarter way through them and we sent them back....the worst meal ever. When the bill came they tried to charge $6 for beef topping and $15 for nachos. I told the waitress if she thought that it was fair that I should pay $21 for a meal that I could not eat so She left to speak with supervisor/manager. The supervisor/manager returned...ripped the receipt up and threw it at me saying...." there will that make you happy " I said absolutely and walked out. Out of the six of us three finished their meal.... all six are at home and not feeling good. Even the 4 year old said her macaroni is making her tummy feel bad. The worst food and experience ever. No wonder that the place is empty... I would hate to see the disaster that is probably in the kitchen. Maybe someone should tell health 8nspector to drop by!!-

Pleasant surprise. I honestly came with low expectations but I was surprised by the quality of the food and how welcome Esther made us feel as first time visitors. Everything gave me the feeling of really well taken care of and prepared home cooked meals. I had the biggest breakfast I have ever had everything cooked to perfection and really well seasoned and my wife had a real turkey breast club sandwich which is very rare to find as most places use deli meat, my toddler which is a picky eater actually ate all of his chicken and waffles. I definitely plan to return to this spot since the value and the service were really refreshing compared to what we experience day to day in Grande Prairie. I told my wife I want this place to be our to go place for dates and family days Good job! and my hat is off to you folks.

If I could give less stars I would. Totally not impressed!! Ordered there for the first time ever because I heard that their chicken fingers were great. Well, they weren't! I ordered an Iced Tea, got Ginger Ale. Paid extra so I could have two dips, Plum and BBQ. Only received one, the BBQ. It was terrible. Tasted like there was alcohol in it that DEFINITELY DID NOT get cooked out properly. Asked for extra utensils, got none. There was something that was not cole slaw on top of my coleslaw to the side, was not supposed to be there. Cold fries, that I found PLASTIC in. Ended up tossing the whole thing because it made me sick. Will not be eating there again, and definitely will tell people to stay away. ***UPDATE - They are "Denying" everything! The most unprofessional company I have ever eaten from in my life!***

Went on Sat about 7:00. It wasn't busy at all. I was seated promptly in a booth. The restaurant was very clean and the staff friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I had a cup of the Tomato Basil soup as a starter. It was delicious and piping hot, just the way I like my soups! For my main I had the Bacon and Chicken Carbonara Flat Bread pizza. Again delicious and hot! I have no qualms about giving this place a 5 star rating...I'm sure you'll enjoy your meal too!

Excellent place to have any meal of the day! Will first start by saying how great Esther and George are at greeting you and making sure you find a comfortable place to dine. The food is excellent and served hot and fresh within a timely manner, I’ve had multiple lunches as well as dinner one evening as it’s always enjoyable and very clean, I.e. cutlery, glasses, tabletops etc. very professional and presentable restaurant at affordable prices, highly recommended!!!!

The lounge is perfect for adults and a bit more intimate atmosphere. Perhaps, the best breakfast spot in town! I love their bennies and mimosas, or breakfast bowls with caesars ????

I decided to give the restaurant one more go and it was a good decision! The restaurant is under new management, a bigger plus. Service was on the ball, food had actual flavours and tasted great. If I could give zero stars I would, previous two times were awful and my husband and I decided to give it a third go, WORST MISTAKE. Sausage was a hotdog, freezerburnt perogies, no butter for my waffle, I had a bltc salad which was missing the bacon cheese and chicken. Would not recommend and will never be going back.

I don't know, maybe I just expect too much coming back from Europe after a couple weeks of excellent food and dining experiences. They live and die on good food and good experiences, and the waitstaff absolutely crush it! Do restaurants pay more buying in bulk than the average consumer? I think not. I want value when I splurge and take my family out, I am a truck driver, so I get to put up with the service industry both good and bad. What fills my 100 seat restaurant? All of the above. I love Ricky's menu, just seems like Gp cant get their act together. I may have visited the new location once before, but, the old location I stopped at a few times a week, in the past. Maybe it is staffing issues, blah, blah blah. I had big hopes on giving our Gp location another try. We had a group of six, 2 burgers, 2chicken fingers, (1 kid's, 1adult), 1 eggs benny, 1 kids lasagna, all had pop, water, coffee or milk. We had a main waitress, she was great, maybe too busy, couple of the bussers or maybe manager involved too. Food was good, but, very slow and in stages. People like to eat at the same time together, any line cook should be able to coordinate 6 plates for sametime service, got our caesar salad about a half hour before the rest started coming out. I have accepted that $10 really doesn't get you much anymore, but, if I am gonna pay $15-20 a plate it better be delicious, hot, fresh and good value. I thought she said do you want hashbrowns? Sure, I get hashbrowns, thought they scraped someone's old shredded ones and baked potato fixings on my plate. It was a teaspoon of sour cream, a bacon piece and a few green onions, which I wouldn't of ordered, on slightly burnt hash browns, $2.99 extra charge, the whole bloody plate of food doesn't cost that, but, you want $15 plus extra charges. Do waitresses get paid extra for tacking on extra bs charges, because, those bother me when I get the bill, and their tip decreases as these bs charges appear on bill. Potatoes are cheap as hell, pile the fries high if you want this kind of money for a meal. If I owned the place I'd rather charge 2/3 of what I'm charging now, and fill the place more often, consumers are loyal when their money is valued. Sorry, I am a foodie, I love good spots that keep me coming back. Pile the food high, in a timely manner, make sure I know of extra charges before you tack them on, and I'll keep coming back for more. It was fun, but, fountain pop is outta hand, (pennies a glass), I thought a small kid's milk was included with the $15 baby lasagna, say no to extra bs gouging, and get your kitchen staff pounding it out. It seemed you weren't prepared for a lunch rush on Father's Day. I saw 1 waitress, two bussers and maybe the older woman was a manager? Three quality waitresses two bussers, fast kitchen would easily handle a full house. Your staffing level seemed to excel when it cleared out down to about 1/3 capacity.

Heyyo, the staff was incredibly nice, the special of $2 Tuesdays for kids to eat is amazing and includes ice cream desert with a tray of sprinkles and caramel and chocolate syrups for your kid to apply however much they want. My family definitely enjoyed it there and our dinners were delicious.

Ordered for the first time tonight, and was the biggest mistake.. boston pizzas portions are way better, so not worth the 60$!! This place is my go to for Lasagna. I used to get mine at BP's....but I like yours so much better! Great atmosphere, great service and great food! I love how you keep your restaurant so clean....at BP....they just wipe their garbage and crumbs on the floor because they have a cleaning service that comes in after hours and cleans the floors. Last time I was there, it looked like they dumped a garbage can on the floor.....scattered garbage everywhere. It was disgusting. When I was dining at your establishment today, There was a server with a carpet sweeper using it right after a large group of people left. You won me over. Thank you so much! :) Amy Townsend.

Went on Mothers day with 8 adults and 6 kids and I've never had a more disorganized meal in my life. They were completely unable to handle our group. We arrived at 10am, took 20 minutes to get drinks, orders not taken until 10:40 (she was too busy taking orders from the smaller tables), kids food only started to come out at 11:05, 11:20 one of my kids food still hadn't arrived, canceled the order, waiting until almost 11:40 to pay the bill. Was about to leave without paying. The meals came spread out over more than 20 minutes. Our waitress (name to be emailed) was neither concerned about our table, nor inclined to do anything about our experience (on top of being rude). We had to ask, or actively hunt, for EVERY coffee refill, then ask for cream for it, and wait both times. Not once did she come to the table to offer refills.The kids received kids menus and no crayons. Who could have anticipated a restaurant would be busy on Mothers Day? None of the 4 families in our group will be returning, and will make sure to tell our friends.

Kudos to the cooks... As for the waitresses, I felt as though they didn't care we were there. Had to wait excessively to be seated, for our orders to be taken, to be checked up on or asked if we needed anything. The table behind us complained, saying they hadn't been served (they had already been waiting 10-15 minutes too). One of the waitresses was very loud, and seemed to prefer to talk to a co-worker than help her customers. Bad experience, good food... It's sad when even the other customers around you are complaining about their experience. If the waitresses were more attentive and concerned with their work (and the satisfaction of their customers...), it would have been a much better experience. Everyone has bad days though and I'm going to assume it was just a bad day :) I still disliked the experience, though. Going to go back on my next trip to GP and give it a second chance :) Maybe more stars next time.

We are on a road trip and we had been hungry for decent food. We decided to try Ricky’s grill. We normally don’t bother leaving reviews unless they are horrible and people need to know. The service was top notch here. The server was very friendly and the food was great. It was also the best mushroom burger that I hadn’t been able to have for a long time!

Excellent service. Friendly staff. We showed up a half hour before closing after a dance competition and were shown every courtesy. Even after finishing our first (very tasty) courses 15 minutes after closing we were still offered dessert. My new go to restaurant. No more Boston Pizza after the way they treated the Edmonton Eskimos.

Ricky’s is awful. It’s a waste of money for the food they give you. We also had a terrible experience there. We waited an hour to get our food only to have it served cold and wrong. Our waitress couldn’t give two sh*ts about it. We didn’t touch a thing and asked for the check. She gave us the check with the entire order on it after we didn’t eat a thing. We asked to speak to the manager and she handled it well but it was a long and tiring experience. We had a previous experience similar to this as well but this was the worst. I do not recommend eating here.

So we were in town and went there and there were these ladies who were working and the whole time they were unprofessional talking about their ex boyfriends etc and screaming literally screaming and they kept saying you go break his heart girl this was very upsetting as I had that phrase on my mind for a long time because of the fact that I felt bad for the guy and they yelled at each other all the reasons for why they wanted to break up with him weren’t good but anyways point being we were bothered by this experience and the burgers were watery and they got the order wrong for all of us and they put too much cheese on the grilled cheese but yeah so to paraphrase the food wasn’t great and the people working there were unprofessional and talking about stuff people didn’t want to hear

Look at the reviews. There is a lot of bad reviews but the latest ones said new management and it good. Checked opening times and it said 7am arrived at 5 after 7 they were closed and the door was taped over and now say 8 am. So they need to update there when site. They are missing out on a lot of Customer they could be packed all the hotels in town have bin book solid all winter if they would open at 6am and advertise at the hotels they would be pack. So I went over to Humptys were it was packed great service great food at Humpty. Rick'y loss.

3 eggs, 3 strips of maple bacon, 3 sausage links and 3 of our fluffy buttermilk pancakes, with toast and red skin breakfast potatoes with sautéed peppers, onions and seasoning. I swapped the sausages for all bacon, and the roasted potatoes for stuffed hashbrowns. Everything was delicious.

Waffles were great very fluffy great in my opinion, the bacon was at the right crisp and chewy goodness, the sausage were great their flavor was great with maple syrup too, the stuffed hash browns tho I feel might have needed maybe just a bit more sour cream other than that for the stuffed hash browns I would say was a good flavor for a explosion in your mouths.

Went to Ricky's for my b-day dinner Friday night and the the services was great. We were seated right away . owners and server's were polite , we didn't had to wait very long for our meals to arrive which was good for us and the food tasted great. Definitely will come back again .

Had breakfast with my friend, we ordered basically the same meal. Scrambled eggs are the liquid not the real. And the waitress forgot to order our hashbrowns. We also had supper together with our spouses. Her husband and my wife could not eat their meal because it was to salty and they both have heart problems. The meals were taken, they were not asked if they would like something else. We were all charged full price for the meals.

I waited patiently 45min for a breakie bowl. There were some other customers in there but definitely not overly busy. I watched other customers come and go while I was waiting. When it was brought out to me it was ice cold. I ate it, smiled, paid my bill (no tip) and left. This was not my only experience like this at Ricky's in GP but will CERTAINLY be my last

My recent visit to Rickys all day grill was a great experience. I normally check reviews before I eat at a new establishment and my experience is totally different then what was previously written. After talking with the staff at Ricky's they have said that the establishment is under new management and ownership. My experience with the staff was friendly and they made me feel right at home, I believe that they are headed in the right direction and should be given the opportunity to prove that they are with this new ownership. I would eat here anytime I am driving through Grande Prairie again.

It was only ok. Service was rushed during ore-order. Said we needed more time and I understand we were having convo but we asked for more time. My food came and my sausage had a black crust on it. My friend sent it back and I gotta wonder how it left the window in the first place. How did the cook think it was ok to serve. Personally for me this Ricky's dosent compare to any in edmonton I've been to, and for this reason I will not return to the gp location again. During covid with how businesses are closing down, one would think that with a 50% capacity order through bylaw you wouldn't rush service or served the only protein on the plate burned and expect it to be acceptable. I would rather play it safely loyal and patronize a store that gets it done right. I'm just saying for those out there deciding where to go to dine in. Even take out, where it isn't possible to fix a mistake, where you would be told, oh sorry.we can give you store credit.....for more of the same? This is why I would not return to Ricky's at over 50$ for two breakfast items with coffee.

Food was good and came out quick. Waitress was RUDE and didnt acknowledge us for 15 min. When we commented on the wait we were told by the waitress she was busy(it wasnt busy in the restaurant and she walked by us at least 5 times) and told us we were free to leave. The table behind us also waited almost 15 min before they were acknowledged and it was even slower then when we arrived. We wont go back or recommend. Management urgently needs a new waitress in the restaurant!

Went there for supper, the lady seated us when we walked in the door with menus. She said she will be right back, there was about 6 tables occupied. We sat there for a good 15 minutes waiting for someone to take our drink and food order. We watched a man walk by 4-5 times cleaning off tables that may have looked like a manager. Not once did he acknowledge us nor offer to get us drinks and take our order. 15 minutes later we walked out, we went to a&w instead speedy and friendly service there. thanks a&w

1 star because 0 isn't an option. Went for prime rib. The prime rib was over done. The mashed potatoes were reheated in the microwave along with the vegetables. When I asked if the mashed potatoes were microwaved, I was told all the food on my plate was microwaved. I will never eat there again. And to top it off I was up all night sick after eating there.

Terrible service. Not only for our table but most others around us. Took forever to be seated. Once seated no menus were given out. Twenty minutes in to contemplating if we should leave the waitress asks if we would like menus. Wait time for ordering was ridiculous then once ordered, food took over an hour to come out. We ordered takeout via SkipTheDishes. When the order arrived I could NOT believe the portion sizes. The adult fish and chips were smaller than most children sized meals we’ve gotten from other similar restaurants. By comparison, we may have had a single order of fries with all 3 orders combined. We will not be ordering takeout from Ricky’s GP again based on this experience.
