I do love prairie sushi and I go there all the time! But these past couple times I’ve went have not been the best and I went there yesterday and got food and all of my sushi tastes like wasabi. Every single piece and I’m extremely disappointed about it as I really do not like wasabi at all.

Have been eating here since the day they opened the doors. Still to this day some of the best sushi i have had in multiple cities and countries. The soups and hot entrees are also excellent. Very freindly staff, we love sitting at the bar and chatting with the chefs.

This place was a good place to eat. But since they changed the servers around end of 2017 the service become horrible and racist as hell. The servers wont smile, rude and slackers. Thay just stand in one place and dont follow or visit you on table. No anticipation and no sense of urgency. If i can rate them for the service, i will rate them -00. Kitchen staff friendly and they make good food but the service pull them down. I hope the management knows what is going on. By the way today is january 14 2018. 12 in the afternoon table 25. I manage restaurant as well and we always eat here every week. Thanks for reading.

Food : I give it 5* based on the fact that we are in landlocked grande prairie and this is the best sushi joint you can find in this city. The fish is pretty fresh and the rice too . I would recommend try theirs NEGITORO maki , rate to find such fresh toro at such a good price even in the bigger cities Service : 5* all the way , the staff is great , the always greet me with a smile even when we bring our noisy little toddler who turns the place up side down . Food is great (as usual), but customer service is the worst I had. You never tell them that it’s too much food to order because you’re not paying for the bill anyways. Note that food is a major key to attract customers in your restaurant, but with the poor customer service you’ve been showing lately, no one will dare to come back. Try to be more open, kind and friendly TO ALL your customers next time. Such a disappointment. Will not come back here for some time.

You compare the quality of the food and the prices between Prairie sushi and the other places in town and Prairie does come out on top. Most of the rolls are similar in price to Tokyo Ichiban, but the quality is better. And while Soto has good quality, they charge more.

My server Joey was Very helpful with suggestions and checked back many times to see if I was happy. Great menu with lots of great items and great prices. Sushi was fresh and so delicious. Best gingerbeef I've had in many years and I try it everywhere I go. Springrolls excellent and made fresh daily. This is my new favorite sushi place and I will trying many more Asian dishes as well. Decor was outdated was the only reason I did not give 5 star.

This is my favorite restaurant in Grande Prairie, and one of my favorites ever. The food is top notch, we get the best service everytime we go there. The decor is a little dated but I personally couldn't care less because the food is so good!! The sweet and sour roll, tuna tataki/beef tataki and the crab salad are a few of my favorites. If you are really hungry- try the dinner boat for 2. It gives you a nice little taste of a few different things!!!
