Absolutely LOVE this place! Staff are always friendly, food is delicious, and the space is cozy and relaxing. I have had little bad experience with this place, but ton of great ones! The only critique I can think of is the quality of the garlic mashed as of late; it has seemed like they arent filling the bowl as much as they use to, they're a bit chewy, and sometimes a little cold. Also, I want to give a shout out to the greeter that is there almost every single time I go there with my partner. Not entirely sure what his name is, but he has an accent, and dark hair. He should 110% get a raise because he deserves it just from his customer service! He is always talking to us and joking around because we are frequent customers; "question, have you two ever been here before?" And then we laugh. Literally every single time we are there. He makes the place a bit more inviting for us and the overall experience more enjoyable!

Visit 1: The food and drink quality was definitely not what I have been accustomed to from Montana's. No one seemed happy to be there. We were seated in such an awkward place to fit in a high chair. Rather than putting other diners at tables further away, we ended up boxed in and our toddler hit (accidentally) many times by the other diners. Visit 2- a month later: definitely a much better experience. The waitress seemed to actually want to be there and was genuinely great at her job. The food was on point and better care with flavours and cooking. The seating assignments were much better.

Montana's is a midrange restaurant in my opinion, not to crazy about it, but it's also not the worst I've had. The service was really slow, the waitress were very nice, super friendly, but it seemed to take forever to get our drinks, to the point where we'd just order 2 and when 1 got empty we'd order our next round. The food was good, but I wouldn't exactly recommend this restaurant, try Moxie's Bar and Grill, it close by.

I had the worst experience I have ever had at a Montana's in my life. They neglected to tell me until everyone else had their meal that they were out of the food that I had ordered. They also mentioned prior to us ordering that appetizers were 2 for $10. When the bill came out the appetizers were full price and the waitress told us that that particular appetizer was not included in the deal.

We have always come in with large group. Always have had great service and awesome food and drinks. Today we recommended to come in and we were so disappointed.drinks were so so, food portions smaller, and so so, and COLD frickin cold so I sent back they reheated....what... seriously. Very disappointing, also took over an hour and was not very busy. We will not be back to what was our favorite place.

Service was ok and food wasn't. "Big honking beef ribs" was definitely not big and honking. Smallest I've seen it left an elder hungry she ate her granddaughters fries afterwards. Smokehouse wrap was pretty empty with a splash of dry undercooked or old rice. My daughters kids ribs we're good so .... There's that.

We go to this Montana's every 2 weeks. Always good food and mostly good service. Burger dinner for 2 around $50 including 1 beer each. Burger buns on this visit were unusually stale, but willing to give them 1 pass before writing them off for the other chains across the street. Management please take note of food quality.

Big Disappointment, took over 30 min to get drinks and over an hour to get meal. Took an hour to get the starter soup, i finished my meal before my son was served his meal which was just fries. We were there for 2 hrs!!!! Machine would not work for scene card. Definitely wont be back.

The food was alright, the brisket was tenderish but dry. The cincher here was they seated us at a table with used and colored on paper that was taped to the table and the table edges were so sticky our sleeves stuck to the table. I wouldn't recommend them or return. The service was average.

I'm nine months pregnant, came and asked for a seat for two. The young man seating people told me that it would be a 30 minute wait, and while I was telling my husband this, he immediately sat the couple that came in behind me, without reservations. Not what I would consider friendly.

Came here at about 9pm because we were starving. First - the menu has changed and the Firecracker steak was removed. Great. Second - it took 50 minutes before we actually got our food from when we sat down. A bit long in my opinion. The food was inaccurate to what we ordered. Tomato on burger, beans for the steak were missing(??) and the steak was overcooked. The presentation was also not good and done carelessly. I know it's not The Keg but my usual experiences at other Montana's has been pretty good. Luckily, Stephanie, the manager took care of things. She had the kitchen make a whole new plate for me. The steak was better, but one piece was under cooked this time, not overcooked. The steak was comped for us which was very gracious of the manager. There seems to be a huge disconnected with the kitchen. Reading other reviews solidifies this idea. The service needs to be faster and the orders need to be more accurate. Eat here at your own discretion.

My newly wed wife and I ordered the big beef rib and were very happy with it: marinated and seasoned well, good quality meat, cooked just right, and a good sized portion. Ordered take out for the first time. I had Montana's before in Fort Saskatchewan and it was phenomenal. The one here in GP was good. I had the big smoke sampler with the beans. Ribs were yummy and sausge was good also. The brisket was a bit bland and dry hence the 3 rating. All in all a solid first time ordering hopefully I can give a better rating next time

Friendly staff greeted us and we got a table right away. Lots of options on the menu and our food was hot when we got it. Our order seemed to be delayed so our server offered us some chips and salsa while we waited. Drinks were good and delivered quickly. Been here quite often and I've never had a bad experience. my opinion the customer service is probably one of the best in the city, it's up to the managing staff to recognize a problem and to solve it before customers complain and in my experience going here they do an excellent job with doing so. With that said it also helps that the food is amazing so it's worth the wait at time's. I easily give this place a top 3 of my go to places of restaurants that I continue to go back to and I definitely recommend it.

Friendly service from door to check. Really neat cabin decor. I love the deer and the moose (although these ones don't talk like on the commercials ). Make sure to try the añojitos and the kapow shrimp. Another favorite is the dynamite burger. Spicy and tasty! I usually write lyrics for songs on the brown paper tablecloth, but the kids love to make pictures with the crayons provided. Always have dessert here. Particularly busy in mid-April.

I could write a 5 page review on everything that went wrong. Instead I'll just say they weren't remotely ready for the opening ski weekend. The reason they get 2 stars instead of one is they did recognize all of the issues and discounted our bill. I hope they get their act together but I won't be returning anytime soon.

Ordered a steak meal through door dash. Paid a premium for 10oz upgrade, was sent the 7oz. Requested mid rare, was sent well done and VERY dry. Flavorless. Paid a premium for sweet potato fries, was give a serving of only 12 soggy little sweet potato fries. Paid $45 for this order and it is a total RIP OFF. Just because I ordered from door dash doesn't give the restaurant permission to send sub par food that they charge a premium for. And portion size should reflect the price paid by the customer. Won't be ordering again. Edit: Door dash is not responsible for overcooking the food, providing pitifully small portions, or charging premiums to upgrade certain food items, and then not providing the upgrade. I'm not sure how contacting them will resolve issues with the restaurant. I wish Montana's would have owned their mistakes rather than telling me to contact door dash.

This has to be my favorite bar in North Bay, it's a different kind of Montana's, but the experience is always heightened because the bartender Kaylin does such an outstanding job! My boyfriend and I went to this Montana’s yesterday evening for a nice dinner date. It was very busy and I understand that but that is no excuse for the way we treated. We stood there waiting in line for a while but we weren’t complaining. The issue for us was when we waited for quite some time, and no one was helping us or talking to us but they would go and help people who were before and behind us. We are First Nation, so this treatment was not new to us but I do not appreciate the way we were treated. We stood there waiting while they helped two groups of people who had just walked in. This is Montana’s seems to be very picky to who they would like eating at their restaurant. ( this was not our first time attempting to eat here.)

Usually so good but service tonight was awful. No check in from the server after our food was brought out. I had spinach dip and my pita chips were really oily- like they were taken straight out of the deep frier and onto my plate. Wasn't asked for drink refills, plates weren't taken away when we were finished. We were left to just sit at the table for a long time. Very disappointed. Usually so great.

Front cant even keep track of who showed up when, was told 10-15 minutes, as was the rest of the people who showed up after us, after 20 minutes of hearing people told 10-15 minutes and being able to see a dozen empty tables we gave up, this was their second chance, first time after being seated we waited 45min for water and almost 2 hours to get our food out. Orders were so screwed up they gave us a $100 giftcard, looks like ill be spending that at harveys. This place is a joke.

It can be hit and miss, the service staff are usually pretty good but occasionally you get someone new as churn in the restaurant industry can be high. The food is what you expect from a chain not always fresh and baked/fried from frozen. They cycle the menu seasonally it appears which can add some new interesting palettes. Overall it is consistent, nothing making you want to come but nice for a night out when you dont want to cook.

However both times our experience was disappointing because of the LOUD MUSIC!!!! We did not enjoy screaming at each other over the music! Never a bad experience! Hostess was great, polite and fun to talk to. My pregnant wife and the hostess "bonded" and made us laugh. Server was great, kept our drinks topped off and was very attentive. The food was excellent, we both had chicken dishes and they were delicious! The chicken was vey moist and pretty of flavor.

Staff was quick and responsive, food came out tasting great and hot! The only thing that was disappointing was portion size. We stepped out of our comfort zones and decided against the usual burgers tonight at Montana’s and we got the Chicken Burrito Bowl and the Buttermilk Fried Chicken. The bowl had less then a 1/4 cup chicken, and was served on a plate. Bowls are usually filling but hubby felt underwhelmed when it came to being full. My fried chicken breast was barely 3” x 3” and the bowl of mashed potato’s was 2x the size of the chicken. It was disappointing because it tasted wonderful! But I didn’t expect to spend $17 on mashed potato’s with a side of chicken… the staff and service was great. And we will return for burgers. But just really disappointing to have such small portions on the other meals.

On Valentine's day we went to Montan's for a nice dinner. My husband has a seafood allergy and normally checks with the waiter to notify the chef. Our waiter did so, and said our meals would take a little longer than usual because the chef had to clean everything to prepare my husbands meal. We received a complimentary chicken soup. Not even real chicken - they used tin chicken. When the food arrived, the waiter explained that most of the side orders (corn bread, gravy) were supplied from a external company and could therefore not guarantee cross-contamination. We ended up paying $28 for a lousy steak and two blobs of mashed potatoes. We informed the waiter that we were just stepping outside to smoke and that we will be back in 5min. When we came back to our table, she had already left us the bill. She did not even offer coffee or dessert. Very, very poor service.

Ordered through Skip the Dishes. I had the Chipotle Firecracker burger and my wife had the Southern Fried chicken sandwich. The burger was almost inedible it was so dry like the meat patty had been overcooked and sitting under a heat lamp. The chicken burger was not as bad but it was overcooked as well. We have ordered from Montanas through Skip a few times and it hasn!t been great. I guess the best thing to do is eat inside the restaurant itself. Wont be ordering from there for a while.

Was told wait would be 35min and waited 1hr 30m. Steak was super tough and wasn't even cooked to the temp I asked for. I've since heard of other complaints about the steak being bad too. Fries were way over salted. Overall not worth the wait and price i payed. I'd maybe give them a second chance but first impressions of a new place are important and this one was bad.

This was the second time we ordered using the Curbside pickup option. First time we never said anything but tonight again I sit in the car and wait with the instructions they gave. Again no one comes out and it is 10 minutes past my pickup time. I go inside which it wasn't busy at all and my order is sitting behind the bar. Where to start? Me and my wife took our 4 kids this past Sunday. We both had the steak and paid for the extra 3 oz and asked for our mashed potatoes to be loaded. The potatoes came unloaded so instead of bringing us fresh potatoes cooked as we ordered we got a bowl filled with bacon,cheese and green onions. So we had to mix all these cold toppings into our potatoes and now have realized our steak is nowhere near the size we ordered and tougher than shoe leather. Now an update as I’ve been sick for 3 days from food poisoning I can say for sure this was the worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time. Ended up paying $130 to be sick for 3 days. I suspected based on the presentation and taste of the steak it may have been flashed deep fried prior to getting grilled as I’m the only one of my family that got Sick from dinner it’s likely the green onions that made me ill as I was the only one to have them. I can’t stress enough avoid this place the food was that bad.

We came here for dinner on one of our stops on our way out west. I had the harvest salad which was very complete and fresh. The apple crisp dessert was great, although would have been better if a little less sweet. Their peach whisky sour was refreshing and autumnal, although I would also prefered it a bit less sweet. Overall a pleasant dinner although we would appreciate some healthier options.

Montana's is a gem I wish I'd discovered sooner. A mixed menu with default pub style food, but with a great valued lunch combo that extends until 4pm for a great price. Friendly staff and quick service even when busy makes this a new favourite, while signing in to the free wifi for the first time will get a customer a free appetizer on signing up for their deals, with other freebies to follow.

February 2020: Place has slipped considerably. Use to be almost perfect but the last few times both the service and the meal were subpar. Couple days ago almost everything was overcooked. We were shown our table and your host brought us our drinks and said our server will be a long at any moment . We looked through, the extensive menu, easy to read, Well laid out, the steaks and ribs felt like they were about to jump out of the menu... We ordered and our server was amazing, friendly, interactive, polite and funny. I guessed her origin Hungary and she was impressed. Awesome service , delicious, scrumptious, well done, excellent comfort food designed in the plate. Excellent food plate presentation. We ordered a lot but so worth it. $$$, great for family, wheelchair accessible, great for functions. Bathroom very clean and presentable. Excellent location as it's in the mall. Free parking. Busy but well organized layout of restaurant so that servers can move around easily with trays. I highly recommend this restaurant and everything screams country living and eating.. Compliments to the staff and management well done..

4 of us drove here from Vancouver for all you can eat ribs. PHONED AHEAD to check it was happening. Arrived to find they HAVE RIBS but were no longer doing all you can eat, as they "didn't prep enough ribs". I usually come here before heading a movie for a quick beer. The staff are friendly, though it is usually busy at around 7 -8 pm so the service gets kind of swamped. The biggest issue I have is with finding options on the menu under 800 calories. I usually settle on the chicken fajitas. Now I know what you are thinking "800 calories, pfft forget this guy". Look, if the food is 800 calories, that is 800 calories less beer I am able to drink.

If how I was treated in an empty parking lot by the "owner" of this Montana's is any indication of the treatment customers get in his restaurant, then I'll NEVER enter ANY Montana's ever again. I had just purchased an extension ladder from the neighbouring Canadian Tire and was about to leave when I had to suddenly stop and re-secure. It happened to be in the space next to Montana's. It was 10am and the lot was empty.... not a single vehicle. It was a miserable rainy day and I was almost done when vehicle parked near by. A "gentlemen" exited and began a line of questioning that Ive NEVER experienced. It was on par to an interrogation! Without an introduction, he demanded to know what I was doing here and why I was parked on Montana's property. My wife was with me and I could tell she was becoming concerned for our safety. I replied that it was obvious that I was securing my load. He continued demanding that we move as he had deliveries and that I was blocking the garbage bin?????? I could have left sooner if not for this encounter and to make matters worse, he took our picture??????? For those who are thinking about dining here at Montana's, please take my experience into consideration. There are lots of ALTERNATIVES. Because if the "owner" is this rude and uncaring in the parking lot, what is he like in the restaurant?????? There is a semi-happy ending, as a call to the head office was recieved by more reasonable ears. Hopefully they can educate the "owner" on how to communicate to the public.

Service was great and atmosphere is always nice. Went on a Tuesday because kids eat free and there was a clown doing face painting. Had my 3yr old with me. I felt the kids meal was really not kid friendly. We ordered the pizza, veggies and fries. The pizza looked to be just a frozen mini one, barely sliced into 4 big pieces on a small plate. I ended up cutting it into smaller sizes fit for a smaller child. There were 2 dried out carrots that were way to big to eat on there own so I cut those as well. Overall the fries were about the best thing. My meal of the deep fried chicken and veggies was very good, but again it was a small portion of veggies and mashed potatoes. In the end the costs were still around $25 so not so sure on the free meal for kids really saving you much money.

Terrible service ordered our children 2 chocolate milks. Our waitress forgot about us I had to go to another waitress 25 minutes afterwards to order them. We arrived at 615pm were seated at 630pm. Our waitress took our order at 645pm then we never seen our food till 800pm. It was cold felt like it had been sitting for awhile, waiting to be taken out..... We are not happy. We are not coming back ever again to the Regina location. Our waitresses name i cannot say her name but mine is visible here. Nice personality and terrible organizational skills. Friends of ours were seated on a different side 10 minutes after us and there family of 5 ate and left before we recieved our meal. We have a family of 4. Not impressed!! 630pm to 900pm to have a meal??? No discount was given.... I work hard for my money, but they give bad service and expect the whole amount. Ps thank you to the cooks. The food was good.

What was supposed to be nothing more than a quick dinner out for my wife and I turned out to be an incredible dining experience. While we didn't order anything "fancy" the food was fantastic, but what really made the evening so nice was the staff. From the young lady who greeted us at the door, to our server (sorry I can't remember the gentleman's name) who took care of us for the evening. Great tasting food and first class staff. We will most certainly be back!

The appetizers were fairly good. We got potato skins and spinach dip. The potato skins could’ve been cooked a little longer but they were still good. The meal we got was the all you can eat ribs and my choice of flavour was the honey garlic. Good food and service. I've never had any problems at Montana's other than one time my wings weren't cooked the way I requested and they quickly took care of that. I usually eat at local restaurants vs franchise but this Montana's for me has knocked it out of the park as far as my experience goes. Their manager, I believe his name is Rob is always walking the floor and making sure guests are enjoying their meal and given good service from what I have seen, even on very busy days. That's customer service! The general staff is friendly, always smiling and happy in what feels like a good work environment for them. I'll always support that!

Took my family here tonight and will not be going back. Waitress was rude, food was way over cooked, asked for medium steaks and got well done. When food was served a guy brought it out and just placed it on the table didn't say a word. Daughter ordered off kids menu and no desert was offered. Was okay. Service was fine, drinks were good. Steak was over cooked by a lot. Asked for rare and got medium well, kinda disappointed as this is the 2nd restaurant that can’t cook a rare steak as asked. Servers asked if steak was okay and I said it was just okay, didn’t feel like waiting 10+ minutes to get a new steak, by the time I would get it hubby would be finished his. Good thing I’m not horribly picky. Not sure if we will come back here. All and all prices were good, service was fine and atmosphere was nice (can be noisy at times but it is a lounge as well)

Me and a friend both recieved VERY burned food. Neither of us are people who send back food unless something has litteraly died in it but holy... I came close that day. Waitress left with our iced teas and came back 30 minutes later. Arrived at 730pm for a table for 5 to celebrate my birthday. Waited few minutes for a table. Waitress was friendly and took drink order. Drinks took 20-30 minutes as “bar was backed up”. Water was forgotten. Ordered appetizers and waited close to 45 minutes for them to be brought to the table. Waitress was very apologetic. We waited and waited. By 10pm the waitress came back and said we had to leave because the kitchen was closing and they would not be able to serve the food we ordered close to 2 hours prior. Did not get happy birthday sung to us, even though waitress was fully aware of birthday celebration. Table next to us did though. Many waitress were very confused with table numbers and tried to bring us appetizers before we even ordered any. I ordered a drink without realizing strawberries were part of it, when it was brought I told the waitress that I was allergic and apologized. I asked if it was possible for them to remake it without. Waitress said it would be fine. She returned 20 minutes later to say that would not be possible and I would have to chose another drink. Overall was a terrible experience for a big chain restaurant.

First time visiting we asked for a booth but were seated at a high table in lounge and told once the booth beside us was cleaned we could move over. As the girl was finishing up cleaning, a couple was waiting to be seated there by the same girl who told us we could have it. No exaggeration we sat with no drinks for 18 minutes, when asked our server where our drinks are she gave attitude then chose to ignore us after dropping them off. Another girl expediting food was very friendly and had our drinks refilled. Our server didn't come around again until it was time to pay, with a scowl on her face and no small talk I might add. Otherwise drinks were delicious and food was great (hence the 2 stars) Second time.. tried to make a reservation for my daughter's birthday for 10 people, was told they are not taking reservations so on the day of, we show up and were told it's going to be an hour and half wait (there were tables available I'm assuming it was just a power trip or incapable of handling a table of 10). With my daughter upset and looking forward to her night out we decided to go to Mr. Mike's where they arranged to have us seated right away and our server was amazing on her own. 3rd and last time! So grossed out! Got a take out meal.. 6 rack of ribs and one was singled out of the rack looked like a chewed bone re-sauced. Loaded baked potato had maybe half a teaspoon of toppings that cost an extra $2.00. Blah never again. I posted a pic on my social media's. Yuck!

Great food, and prices are as we'd expect (a bit high, but not insane). The biggest issue was they seemed a little short staffed. The service was fine, but they were definitely a little slower than they should be, but it wasn't for lack of trying. We could tell their work load was a bit too high. Also, the men's washroom was a little less than perfect - a hope in the ceiling, a partially broken flushing mechanism, no A/C, and it smelled a bit funky. But it wasn't horrible. And the food, dessert, and drinks were quite good.

It was very slow, waited over 60 min for our order..food was blah. I had stake and it was hard to chew. I thought for a stake house it would be better. Up to you, but if you have time and like to chew on a belt than this is the place for you. The only thing good was our waitress, she was kind and very apologetic.

We were there @ 5 - crowd mixed age with several families c/w babies - next to impossible to carry on a conservation. We noted this to servers twice, however I suspect management is under impression excessively loud music creates atmosphere. It does not. Would have been a most enjoyable dining experience otherwise. You know, it would be really nice if somebody let you know that the menu has changed before you order for takeout and take food home. I now have spinach dip with those coloured tortilla chips, which I can’t eat because of the dye in them. The reason I ordered spinach dip there is because I know it’s served with the pita bread. Ok let’s state the facts! The waffle chicken sandwich tasted good! The fries horrible they had so much oil on them if I squealed then I am such I could possibly fill a cup! Now as far as the chicken well cooked the salad was wimpy at best and also the tomato slice! I've been reading several negative reviews of this new addition to our city...and it's disappointing. I've been to Montana's twice now, and both experiences have been great. When a restaurant holds a 35 min - 1 hour wait, you should expect to wait a little longer for food...that means that the restaurant is busy, and that's a good thing! Too many people are wanting the restaurant to fail, that's what I've been hearing from several people anyways. Why not embrace the fact that we've got a wonderful addition to the city, a place that serves NON-ITALIAN fare, and a place that promotes and serves fun, delicious beverages and meals?? To anyone reading this, I cannot stress enough how great this place is, and how good the food is! The servers are wonderful, and the GM visits tables and personally speaks to them. Great customer service!!

We were told by the hostess that they could accommodate our party of 7 within 15-20 minutes and no later. Several large parties were seated before us who arrived after us. A second hostess wouldn’t even give us a time after we had already waited a half an hour. Great food as usual. The service is usually on par-but watch out for the male bartender. He was our server for the night(for food-no alcohol was ordered) and was so unprofessional. He never refilled our water and never stopped by until it was time to pay. We had CAA membership for discount and also wanted to redeem Scene points. He had difficulty doing so and took our phone from out table to “get the card number” which he wrote down already. To top the night off when we went to pay the remainder owing he wanted total control of the debit machine and kept asking for our payment card. We asked to insert instead of him tapping. He got mad, threw the machine on the table and walked away. We noticed he had tried to enter his own tip into the machine without our knowledge. Very unprofessional in my opinion. How many others has he possibly scammed out of money.

We were the only people in the restaurant had to wait 30 minutes plus to get food. Our appetizer we ordered never came and we were told we didn't order one. When food came the nachos we ordered specifically without peppers were covered in peppers. When asked to have them corrected we heard the staff complaining in the kitchen and told they came hat way with peppers and we could see the menu to order something else. Ribs were dry. I would recommend you not coming to this restaurant - service is not good, food is bad and they just don't care.

The manager on duty Sunday June 30, 2019 at 6:30pm was super attentive to his co workers and all the quests. We needed water for our coolant system because a hose popped off and he brought us out 6 pitcher's of water so we could fill up our radiator/coolant system. The manager on duty was a life saver for us. We will definitely go back to this restaurant.

One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. After being ignored at the front by a group of gossiping staff who could clearly see us, we were finally seated 20 mins later. When our food arrived she gave our plates to the wrong person once sorted out, we realized they got all of our orders wrong. The food that you normally expect from Montana was not what we got - under cooked meat, weirdly prepared side dishes, mine was missing the vegetables with no explanation, my daughter's hot dog was burnt, my mom's had no potatoes and we had to ask for our drink orders every time she showed up . We finally left having given up all hope of getting our dessert order. I left with the distinct impression the waitresses were not hired for their excellent food service abilities and whoever was manning the grill might have been the busboy. Anyway I'd never go back unless they completely changed staff and I'd never recommend it to anyone.

It can get a little crowded and noisy, but that's to be expected from a popular restaurant and I didn't mind at all. The decor is really cool to. It's a good place for decent sized groups as well. Get a discount with CAA/AMA card as well. I always enjoy going here.

Tiffany was amazing and super friendly. Wonderful customer service there. Not only did our server take of all our questions and requests but what I believe was a supervisor also stopped to see how everything was. I love there ribs and tell everyone. Chipotle honey is the best sauce I've ever had, and you can buy a jar of it for 5.99 amazing since we leave 3 hours away and dont make it to gp often. Service and Smiles? Go elsewhere. We went for a family lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. We sat outside on the patio that looked as if no one had bothered to clean up from the night prior. Our server's attitude could best be described as, "bothered by our presence" and the level of service offered was "ambivalent" at best. The food took almost 35 minutes to be served and was average. On the plus side, the ice water was cold.

A week ago, I ate at the Montana's in Nanaimo north. Had the 'Big Smoke'. It was awesome. I decided that I'd have it again tonight in Prince George. Big mistake. The brisket was a not tender, and I had to gnaw the so called "Fall off the bone ribs". Ribs were dry and tough. I won't be back to this location anytime soon.

I took a day trip on my motorcycle to Jasper and stopped in here for lunch. The place was decent enough, but their cook really needs to learn how to cook a steak! I ordered my steak medium well and ended up with a steak that was between blue rare and rare, but I was hungry so I just ate it anyways cus i didn't feel like waiting even longer cus it took a while as it was to get my food. The fries and beans were good, and the drinks, but the steak ruined it for me......especially since it's not cheap.

Montana's use to be my favourite restuarant. After going this week (Wednesday) with some friends I will definitely not be going back. I have always gotten the smoke house wrap and have always been very happy with it. I have noticed previously that the size for the wrap was getting smaller. Which really, that didn't really bother me. It was a large wrap. But thid time he wrap was smaller, and now the side of fries they give is on its own little plate.... on the plate with the wrap. So now the wrap is significantly smaller, and there are like no fries. Then I find out when I receive my bill the price has gone UP! Its a bit ridiculous to pay over $15 for smaller than normal wrap, and very few fries. My friends orders were not much better. One of the girls made a comment that she did not enjoy her meal. The waitress goes.. "thats too bad" and thens sends over her manager. The best part was when we were paying. One of the girls orders came to $23. She put a $50 bill on the table as we proceeded to pay with debit. The waitress then asks here if she wants change! Ummm ya?? Overall, the service was not very good and the quality of the food sucks as well. I will NOT be returning.

I got to choose this year for our anniversary lunch which was great! I chose Montana's cause its been awhile. I wasn't happy at all with the all you can eat ribs. The ribs that came out on the main plate was delicious, but was only about half a rib compared to the last time we went. Then when I asked for another about 20 minutes later a lady comes and slides a 3 rib end piece with lots of Carlage and barely any meet. That was done in seconds asked for 2 more same deal slide off a saucer in front of me and same end pieces. We asked a few times for napkins and wipes that came with I bill and no bucket for the bones. Dont usually complain but this bugged me.

Came in the other day and enjoyed one of their signature burgers. The staff were pleasant and ready to help. There was always a smile to be seen (even through all the masks). Unfortunatly, the bacon on my burger was undercooked, so when I bit in, the bacon pulled it all apart. A small thing as if the bacon is cured it won't hurt me. However, when the bacon is as thick as it is there and clearly a signature of the burger it need to be cooked further, otherwise it latches on to everything it touches. Otherwise, good food, good atmosphere will certainly give it another try in the future.

Have consistently received poor customer service at this location, which is especially disappointing because their food tastes great. Unfortunately, this isn’t enough for me to overlook any longer. Our most recent dining experience started with a 2 minute wait to be greeted while two staff members stood directly in front of us without acknowledging our existence. No other customers were ahead of us in line and only one group was waiting for a table in the waiting area. Finally we were greeted and we requested the patio, which was open. The hostess told us that the patio is only being served by the bartender and so she’ll have to check with her to see if she can take another table. We said that we would just take whatever is easiest for them so she told us we would have to wait for a table in the dining room. Apparently making it easier on them doesn’t do any good for me. Our waitress, Debra, showed up about 2 minutes after we were seated to take our drink order, and was already pushing for us to get a food order in. Believe it or not, we require a few more than 2 minutes to figure out what we want to eat. We ordered our son a chocolate milk to drink and it came without a lid or straw. Our son is 2. We inquired about this and she told us that they don’t do lids or straws anymore. We looked around the restaurant and saw about 3 kids with lids and straws for their cups and about another 4-5 adults with straws in their drinks. When Debra returned to take our food order, we asked about the lids and straws that the other customers were using and she said she could maybe sneak us a lid a straw like it was some secret mission that could cost her her job. After submitting our food order we then waited approximately 40-45 minutes to receive our food and we did not get any offers for drink refills at any point during that time either. Debra and her coworkers were too busy chatting with each other and their supervisor to really tend to any of the customers and Debra in particular didn’t seem too happy to be at her job on this day. Needless to say, our entire experience was comical because despite already low expectations, we were still disappointed. The next day I phoned the manager to inform him of what happened. He took my name and email and told me he would put something together for me after he spoke with the supervisor who worked that previous night. Apparently the manager’s idea of “putting something together” for me was actually signing me up for their email subscription service. What a joke. In summary: Avoid this restaurant unless your standards for customer service are lower than humanly imaginable.

Service was terrible, was in there for about 2 and a half hours. Ordered my daughter's food immediately after getting there so she wouldn't have to wait and it still took about 45 minutes to get to our table and it was only pasta and alfredo sauce. Waitress didn't seem to know what she was doing. Drinks were forgotten about, to-go box forgotten about. Asked for the bill and had to wait another 15 minutes. Food tasted good but wasn't nearly as hot as it should have been. Would have been great with better service, though.

Montana's is a bit of a hit or miss restaurant. The staff is always friendly but I'm not sure of what's going on in the kitchen. My husband usually asks for a 10 oz sirloin without steak spice. The 1st time it was no problem. The 2nd time the kitchen put spice on and the manager had to intervene to get a steak without the spice. Tonight it was not possible to get a sirloin steak without spice. Just. Not. Possibe. I'm happy with my (not steak) meal but I'm puzzled by what's happening in the kitchen.

Loved the food here! The manager was also very active among the customers and helpful. We were accidentally seated at a table for 6 and he apologized and offered us a free dessert for asking us to move. The prices were reasonable, maybe a bit on the high side. Drinks (alcoholic) were very slow but made very well. The food was delicious. Will def come back.
