Such good hearty food here! Lots of different choices, but still tastes like home. I love coming here with my dad and uncles. We played a lot of crib here as well. It’s a great time. Sometimes, though, the service is a little slow. There are no assigned tables, which is fine,but sometimes it’s hard to catch the attention of the waiters.

Once upon a time this was one of the best restaurants in town... unfortunately that is not the case anymore. Back when it was family operated the service was GREAT, the quality of food was as good, (offten better than home) and the portions were ample. Today however you can get a better breakfast meal at McDonald's and at least there you expect crappy service... poor service, poor quality food, inconsistent and after 23 years I will not be returning. I guess all good things do come to an end. Miss the days when the Major Family was working and serving, it was Great then...

I enjoyed my breakfast selection, from a very great and varied menu. Majors BACON was and is set high on my standards of taste and enjoyment. Other resturants must pay attention, as very few can compete with the thickness and taste of real farmer bacon. My meal brought back memories of home cooked breakfast as a child and of camping with family. The only complaint I can make, is that my isolation body, is not both friendly. And that the atmosphere was lost from the original location. It STILL feels and looks like Pizza Hut. Great service, great food, a decent price, and the best COWBOY COFFEE in the GP area!! ☕????????.

Home style food. One of the last"diners" out there. Locally owned and operated!!!! Always a good feeling about spending your money in this iconic Grande Prairie restaurant. Something for everyone. They've all the classics!roast beef or turkey dinner. Excellent gravy! Homefries! Real food! Not some frozen or reconstituted slop. Fresh made buns! Homemade pie for desert! You can even have a beer with your meal.

We’ve been here on several occasions for breakfast and gotten good food each time! The only issue I have is with the service. It seems like a struggle to get a quality check and a coffee refill, almost every single time. We had a Filipino girl once that was amazing, but the other times it seems every server will never bring Ketchup, coffee or water refills, or take plates.

Disappointed in the food quality for the price. I ordered food for dinnee, at almost $20 a plate. When I received it, it was very clear that the vegetables were generic frozen veggies that had been boiled or steamed (sliced carrots, corn, and peas). The mashed potatoes didn't taste great at all. The perogies were grocery store frozen perogies. I'm a person that likes everything and will eat anything, but I can't justify spending almost $20 per person on processed food that would take me 15 minutes to cook at home.

This is the best restaurant I ever have been to. The inside looks very modern. The staff is the nicest. The food, where do I begin it’s by far the best food I have tasted in a restaurant. I wanna give 5 stars for the food because it was amazing!!! But the service was awful. We sat down an d waited about 10-15min before anyone even brought us a menu or asked us what we wanted to drink, then waited another 5min to get our drinks and they brought my Husband the wrong drink. We were laughing cause a table not far from us were sharing menus because the one table didnt get any brought to them and then they ended up taking the order of the 2nd table that sat down before the 1st table. They do not have assigned serving areas so they are all just running around, and they were already short staffed the day we went there and the older lady was overwhelmed and was talking about walking out... Kudos to the 2 younger guys working and not complaining. Hopefully they get some better staff in there and get some assigned serving areas so its not such a gong show. But again food was AMAZING so if your ok with waiting 20-30min before getting drinks and your order taken its well worth the wait.

Major's has been in GP forever. While I don't often eat in the restaurant we do eat out from here fairly often as well as having them cater staff events. We have had them cater for 40+ people before and every time it has been great. If you want to get their catering we definitely suggest getting the beef on a bun option or the Ukrainian lunch with cabbage rolls, perogies and sausage.

First time going here, loved the homestyle cooking! Wanted to finish it, but was too full. Everything is homemade I believe. Best eggs benny's I've had in a long while. I have lived in Grande Prairie for over 20 years and I have never been to Majors and figured I would try it. I went in about 7:00 or so for supper. We were told to sit anywhere. There were only two other tables when we walked in. Within about a minute of us arriving another couple sat dawn beside us. They had their food before anyone even took our food order. For the lack of customers in there, I found the food took way too long. I ordered a beef dip and it was so dry, you needed water just to get it down. We ordered a Hawaiian pizza for my daughter and got a pepperoni instead. My wife had the only good dish of the three ordered. Not once did anyone come and ask how everything was. Not once did anyone come by and ask if we wanted refills as our drinks were pretty well empty by the time our food came. So we had supper with no drinks. I found that the staff didn't spend near enough time in the front of house as they should. When I went to pay, I was told I couldn't use my gift card as the store was independently owned. When I was paying I informed the staff of my food and he discounted it, but no so much as an apology of any kind. Service was very poor, food was poor. Not sure I will be returning.

Fairly nice diner style restaurant. Prices are fair for the large sized portions. My breakfast was pretty oily, but otherwise the food was good. Our server was pleasant and our service was fast. Overall it was good.

The menu is full of home cooked meals and is always really delicious and affordable. Roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes, veggies and gravy for something like $15 can't be beat. Depending on the day, you might get great service or almost none at all.

The lady didn't bring my water until asked and told they had no mashed potatoes for my meal. Then they forgot my meanwhile my friends ate theirs. Then when they brought it they forgot my gravy and the porc chops were to come with apple sauce but they had no apple sauce. They did not tell me this until I asked why it had not arrived with my meal. What did finally come was very good though. Service was ok but not fantastic.

Only time we saw the waitress was to get our drinks, take our order, and to pay for our food which I had to go stand at the register to be acknowledged. First time in 2 years I hadn’t left a tip. **TERRIBLE - DONT WASTE TIME & MONEY** went for dinner on a wednesday, not busy at all. service was terrible. learned more about waitresses lives than wanted to as they gossiped rather than worked. had the pork chop, was a shoulder butt chop that you could tell was frozen. dry, overcooked and tough. side veg was a peas corn & carrot number straight from the green giant and the mash potatoes were luke warm and not made that day for sure. won't be back.

Way to expensive I find. For a clubhouse with poutine, one pancake with a drink it was $25.00!! I didn't even tip because for that price I pretty already did. My biggest downfall for sure.

Excellent breakfast. Eggs Benedict! Big Truckers Breakfast plate full of pancakes, eggs, potatoes, ham! Yummy!!! Very clean, nice restaurant with great staff. Well done!! However service was quick so my coffee cup wasn't empty until I wanted it to be empty. This is a great place to eat when you are in Grande Prairie.

Never again was the first visit and will be the last anyone with common sense can tell they have huge service problems and the fairy ride isn't gonna last forever here.. They are losing more customers than they make I watched 2 tables get up and leave. I also paid attention to empty coffee cups as I walked out. Another so called hot spot that only has a little time before the doors close.
