Je ne vous mentirai pas que déjà le service était plutôt froid et lorsque c’est l’anniversaire de quelqu’un, habituellement la serveuse ne vient pas demander des preuves à la table devant la personne fêtée. Toutefois j'obtempère et je lui donne ma carte, elle demande aussi une carte à ma sœur pour s’assurer qu’elle est majeure, ce qui n’est pas mal en soi. Par contre, je questionne le besoin de photocopier la carte d’assurance maladie. En quoi est-ce nécessaire de faire une copie lorsqu’elle a elle-même pu observé et confirmé que c’était bel et bien ma date d’anniversaire. Après les vérifications et la commande de nos plats, elle nous informe que nous avons le droit à un repas gratuit si nous avons deux repas et deux boissons, ce qui n’était pas notre cas, puisque nous avions déjà une promotion avec une pizza et une boisson. Encore une fois, nous avons trouvé que le service était déplorable, puisque cette information aurait été beaucoup plus pertinente à savoir dès que nous avons reçu les menus. Nous lui demandons donc quelques minutes de réflexion. Et nous refusons l'autre par la suite. Quelques minutes plus tard, elle nous apporte les repas. C’était délicieux donc tout était bien à ce niveau. Après que nos repas soit terminés, Pascale revient nous voir pour nous demander si nous voulions la carte des desserts. Nous lui répondons que non, mais nous partageons un regard hébété. Est-ce normal que la serveuse demande si la personne fêtée désire un gâteau? Habituellement, c’est une surprise, ce n’est pas sensé être demandé. Ma sœur avait spécifiquement appelé d’avance pour questionner si mon anniversaire serait souligné d’une quelconque façon. Alors je ne comprends réellement pas le genre de service que nous avons reçu. Elle quitte et revient avec la facture, sans aucun gâteau. Ma sœur lui explique qu’elle avait demandé un gâteau à l’avance donc elle ne comprend pas pourquoi aucun dessert ne m’a été servi. La serveuse nous dit qu’elle avait demandé si je voulais le gâteau. C’est faux, puisqu’elle nous a demandé si nous voulions la liste des desserts et non pas le fameux gâteau d’anniversaire. Après discussion, elle a été chercher le gâteau et nous avons payé puis nous avons quitté. Je ne mentirais pas, je n’ai jamais reçu un service aussi pitoyable pour l’anniversaire de quelqu’un. Bien sûr la personne fêtée s’attend bien à recevoir un gâteau, mais jamais la serveuse vient voir directement la personne pour demander le gâteau, c’est supposé être un moment plaisant, mais on voyait bien que c’était une tâche. Je me questionne sérieusement à savoir si c’est le genre de service qui représente le St-Ambroise. Pour ma part, ma sœur et moi ne reviendrons plus manger à votre restaurant et je ne peux pas parler pour les autres clients, mais je crois pas que c’est aussi le genre de service qu’ils recherchent. Sachez que je pèse mes mots et je pourrais être beaucoup plus disgracieuse au sujet de votre employée, mais je vais m’arrêter.

We ordered shrimp bang bang, however never received it. My daughter's noodles tasted burnt she said. I never got a chance to get hot chili peppers in my noodles, none were at counter to put in myself cause of covid. So we gave a nonimal tip to our waitress. Usually we have a much better experience. Great food, great service. Everyone had a different type of food and all enjoyed (and that includes 3 kids). Steak was tasty and tender, pizza was delicious, hamburger was the best my son had ever eaten, daughter loved the pasta bar and hubby loved his fajitas. I highly recommend.

Food was good. Not great, just you're average fare. The only real negative was that we told the server our 4yr old had a dairy allergy, and asked if the kids chicken nugget batter had milk in it. Fair enough, we order her the basic burger. Well, the food comes and the burger bun is obviously flat top grilled with butter. So I snag another server to ask if she knows if they used butter on the buns. Turns out theres milk in the buns themselves... Its not like we weren't explicit that our toddler had an ALLERGY. So she ate a burger patty and fries. It's not a bad place, but it's hard to give it a great rating when the service makes you feel like you're a bit of a nuisance. Buyer beware, be proactive if you're dealing with any kind of allergy.
