(Translated) We had a wonderful romantic evening. The servers were very respectful of our privacy, it was really appreciated. The food tastes like heaven! No need to worry about quality, taste or even service. All aspects of the typical excellent restaurant were present. My only downside is for the space, it's a very small restaurant, so the seats are tight, for a romantic evening, having a couple really close to you at the same time, it was a bit of a shame. Also, the front door which opens often lets in the cold and people are less aware that the people inside have the gust of wind every time. That being said, it's 200% sure we'll be back. Mon seul bémol se situe pour l'espace, c'est un restaurant très petit, donc les places sont collées, pour une soirée en amoureux, avoir un couple vraiment proche de soi en même temps, c'était un petit peu dommage. Aussi, la porte d'entrée qui ouvre souvent laisse entrer le froid et les gens sont moins conscients que les gens à l'intérieur ont le coup de vent à chaque fois. Ceci étant dit, c'est sur à 200% que nous y retournerons. C'est définitivement l'un de nos endroits préférés maintenant.

The ambiance and service are great. The menu choices (meat, fish and veggie) are excellent and the creations are amazing. Nice wine and drinks list. The main downside is the unfortunate (small) size of the tapas. I would rather pay more than $5 and have 3 scallops instead of a single lonely one. Makes for a better 5 à 7 than dinner restaurant.

The preamble: In fairness to restaurants we didn’t care for, we have omitted reviewing them. If your restaurant doesn't have a review on our board, we either didn’t love it, or we haven’t eaten there yet. If you are interested in having us dine at your establishment, send us a note and well get you on our list for future meals. We’re not here to trash the restaurants we believe have some work ahead of them, rather to applaud the restaurants we feel are above the bar. Being tremendous fans of the mid morning smorgasbord, we felt it was time to visit this relatively new establishment in our home town of Aylmer. The menu was interesting and offered a variety of elevated mainstream brunch items, like crepes (actually pancakes), to the more creative and unusual, like veal tongue or scallops. We ordered one main brunch platter and two tapas. The main dish was the Magret de canard (duck breast) with roasted potatoes, braised endives, lemon carrot mousse, beer pickled cauliflower, and one sunny side up egg. The platter was interesting, and I really liked the endives and the cauliflower. The duck was well cooked, but cooked the same as pretty much every other place I’ve had magret in. The presentation was ok, though I personally don’t really care for the cutting board as a plate (as many bistros have adopted), but it didn’t really affect the quality or flavour of the foods. The first of 2 tapas was the veal tongue benedict, served with beet caramel with smoked rosemary and roasted yams with dates and lemon hollandaise. The dish was quite nice, well cooked, and the flavours worked well together. The veal was a little “beefy” tasting, but otherwise excellent. The second tapa was seared sea scallop with curried beet puree, carrots with dill, candied kumquat, and poached egg. This was the best of the bunch, and the candied kumquats were quite nice. As other reviewers have noted, the tapas portions are a bit on the small side, although the quality of the ingredients is very good, hence the price (think 7 to 8 dollars a plate). The table next to us who had wrapped up eating as we arrived, advised the waitress that they were still hungry and so ordered another main dish. Realistically, you are looking at $20 + a bit per person for brunch to leave feeling that you have eaten enough.

Et la planche de dessert très décevante. Le minuscule verre de cocktail en entrée ne valait pas 9$. excellent experience this past Saturday, we were a large birthday group of 24 guests and the service, food and ambience were all fantastic! The chef's choice crafted cocktails were especially generous in flavour and value. They also had delicious oysters available. Saturday evening at 7 p.m ( valentine's weekend) : 2 out of the 4 main dishes were not available. The dishes were bellow average ( all 4 of them) Preposterously over salted gravlax, The exact same vegetables for all dishes.. and the remaining options seemed far from impressive, however the waiter was even less impressive. When warned that we'd not order further dishes and wanted the bill to go elsewhere, said bill came crumpled and stained with fat. Needless to say the experience was terrible from start to finish. Extremely disappointed. Went there for dinner and was only given appetizer's menu with a suggestion to order at least two per person. Two appetizers for the price of $40 was pretty much two spoons of salad. Right after that had to go to another place to eat normally.

Great food, super service, overall a great experience. Our party all chose the "Discovery menu". You have a choice of 3 or 5 service and you don't know what they will serve you! It's a surprise! If you're not fussy, because some of the plates are not your average fare, I definitely recommend it. Among the food served we had veal tongue, porc cheeks, ceviche, and our dessert was some sort of Macha tea squares. It was all very good and beautifully presented.

We ordered take-out today, it was amazing. We had the soup, beef Wellington and the prime rib, with a dessert. We also took a wine they suggested. Everything was succulent. Melt in your mouth. And the way it works is they choose what you eat completely and if someone is allergic to something or you can't eat something because of religion you can tell them to not put any of said food. I can’t even get a hold of them on the phone. The food might be good but service could use more work. Called two times just too see if they had a spot and ignored both phone calls. Nous avions accompagné notre souper d'un grande bière Hop Orange qui se mariait bien avec le tout. Je donne la note de 4, je vais valider dans quelques mois.

I quite honestly really don’t understand why the rating is so high. Terrasse makes for a mediocre experience. Staff is rude and almost feels like they don’t want you there. Perhaps this is just my experience as a woman of colour here. Some of the meat was raw and completely unchewable. Although some of the food was good, it wasn’t amazing. Glad I tried it but won’t be back again, definitely not with that service.

Nice server and nice ambiance but the food was not good at all. It looks very nice but it doesn’t taste good. The entrance a fish marinated was way too salty. I couldn’t taste anything but salt. The main meal was cow tongue and I did try it but it was not very good and the vegetables were soggy and acidic. The desert was way too sweet and when I ordered my food I specified that I dislike beets and there were some in it. Finally the sangria tasted more like water than sangria. I was unimpressed since it is rated highly. Maybe it was a real bad night for them.

We had an 8:30 pm reservation for 6 people, by 9pm we didn't have menus. Once we ordered, the food took forever to arrive. At 10pm we had no food and had to ask for it, when it came only some of us got food, leaving one of our party with nothing. The mushroom soup didn't taste of mushrooms but was quite spicy. The falafel was good. The scallop dish was way too salty. A 5 ounce glass of wine cost $10. There didn't appear to be an excessive amount of people in the restaurant but the staff did not seem to be able to cope. With the exception of two attractive ladies who arrived after us, sat at the bar and had plenty of attention with every course of their food. Perhaps this restaurant is unable to cope with the extra work involved because of Covid. Don't think we will be going back.

Dessert was the best part of the meal. It was probably not just our kind ... people seem to like this restaurant. This is not for us ... we will not go back. Côté positif... ils ont modifié leur repas 5 services quelque peu pour accommoder ma femme qui est enceinte (pas de poisson cru). Nous avons pris le repas 5 services. C`était moyen. Certains choses étaient excellentes, d`autre étaient ordinaire. Nous n`avons pas aimé le fait que tous les services étaient accompagnés de légumes marinés... avec un ou deux service, ça aurait été correct... un peu de variété SVP. Le dessert était la meilleure partie du repas. Ce n`était possiblement simplement pas de notre genre... les gens semblent bien aimer ce restaurant. Ce n`est pas pour nous... nous n`y retournerons pas.
