I was at the Spa Nordique for the day and checked the Find Me Gluten-free app for a GF restaurant or one with GF options nearby as I have Celiac Disease. Based on the reviews, I chose Le Foubrac. Cute, little restaurant with a small selection of identified gluten-free menu options. They have a dedicated fryer so the fries are safe which is always a good thing for someone with Celiac :) They have a delicious gluten-free bun option with a separate toaster for their burgers. I was really impressed with the GF bun as there are so many terrible GF breads. This definitely was spot on and no one would guess that it was GF! I actually spoke with the chef and he was very well versed in Celiac Disease and avoiding cross contamination. He definitely set my concerns at ease. Our server, on the other hand, was lacking in her ability to answer questions or have any interest in checking/asking the chef. It might have been a language barrier issue; although I was more than happy to speak French, and did my best to continue to speak with her in French. She just came off as being disinterested in serving me or wanting to be helpful. I would highly suggest asking to speak with the chef if you are not fluent in French and have questions because the food here is really good, safe, and it is evident that they take the appropriate precautions to ensure a safe meal. Would definitely recommend.

It was almost impossible to hear yourself speak, you had to ask to be moved. Went there on a summer afternoon for drinks and maybe a bit to eat. They had no AC and no fans inside so it was insanely uncomfortable, even our drinks weren't very cold. Staff is always polite, and the food arrives typically pretty quickly once you've ordered. I would suggest ordering food at the same time as your initial drinks if you're in a rush. You'll be easily in and out in 40 minutes this way. Food is always very good, and consistent from one visit to the next (been here over 30 times). They also have craft beer on tap, and rotating one or 2 craft beers every other week. Ps: they have Brasserie du Bas-Canada here.

Best Burger joint you'll find in town. If you're craving a gourmet chipstand experience with a cold beer in a very a decent restaurant, this is the place. Great staff, fast service, clean and nice art displays. This hidden gem is probably the best bang for your buck for a very filling meal. I've never been disappointed and visit regularly.

Fantastic little restaurant. Service was quick and very friendly, and the food was excellent. Two in our group got varieties of poutine, which this restaurant has lots of choices for. We found the bacon and alfredo poutine to be really good choices. Note that if you have a large bacon poutine, you will probably have enough for a small second meal, since that particular dish is very rich. Others in our group went with various burgers, which they report were also top of the line. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by.

I went last Saturday with my husband after a long walk into the forest, we just wanted to eat and rest a bit. We look for a restaurant near the area we were and we found this place. At the beginning we had a little misunderstanding for a table we wanted in the shade, we thought they were all reserved so we were ready to leave. The owner herself help us solve it and we had a very warm welcome. The burger I ate ( the Rio Bravo) was sooooo good and the frites were amazing. We passed a very good time and we enjoyed our meal with a very fair price Whenever I will go ahaiy to Ottawa, I will go and have one of these burgers again .

Had my first poor customer service experience at Le Foubrac tonight. We mentionned to our waitress Andrea, that a glass in which we were served iced tea, was dirty. She said she saw no issue with that, but we still requested she change the glass. She brought back the same glass, after wiping it down. (I knew, as part of the same stain was still there) Also, they didn't prepare the right order for my girlfriend, putting the wrong ingrédients in the burger. They wouldn't reimburse for the issues, until we complained to a manager, who only reimbursed my girlfriend's plate, not the iced tea we didn't even touch. Used to be a good place, but tonight's experience was enough to know we won't go back, ever.

After a 15 minute wait, the server finally arrived and took our order. But she then chatted with a friend at another table for 10 minutes before going and placing our order. As a result, she completely forgot our drink order, which she never brought and we didn't bother reminding her. Burgers came up quickly, but were overcooked and dry. Another table complained about the fact that the server never returned to take payment. Downgrading from 4 to 3 stars.

Fantastic little gem tucked away in Hull, not too far from ottawa so if you’re looking for hands down the best burger place in the city this is absolutely it. Friendly staff, fantastic consistant food, great portions, good prices - what more can you ask for? Local art is also sold and displayed right in the cafe, the seating is limited but due to it being hidden, finding a place is never a problem. This would be a four star review normally due to the size of the place but it lends itself so well to the atmosphere ive got to give it a full 5. Been eating here almost every month I can for the last two years! Perfect for burger lovers and beers lovers alike thanks to their quaint bar service and bar counter! What a great place.

If you're looking for a really authentic Canadian meal, Le Foubrac is where you should be going. They have the fries you're looking for and the burgers to set them apart from other little restaurants. The seating is a little to be desired as they don't have a lot of room. Especially at the entrance as when the winter comes they just put up a towel to try and stop the cold wind from blowing in. It is not comfortable at all to sit on the lower portion in the winter. I had the bleu cheese burger with a poutine and it was delicious. A good sized patty, with maybe a bit extra bleu cheese. Soup was amazing, and I can't wait to go back and try all their specialty poutines! Will go back and recommend this for anyone in the area looking for a tasty meal.

I went for a burger and fries. Right away the service was meh (not that friendly). She was very efficient however. I ordered a 13.99$ burger thinking for sure that fries would come with it. Nope, fries were an extra 3.50. :( The burger was thin and dry (I was expecting it to be thick and juicy). The bill ended up costing 30$! I was pretty disappointed because I'm a chef and had heard good things about Foubrac. I know times are hard with Covid and I don't want to make them harder for this resto but I do think they could up their burger and service game.

No reservation little hamburger and fries restaurant with good choice of beers. Great dynamic ambiance and staff. Food is consistently good and worth the little price bump. You cannot go wrong with ANY of the hamburgers!Don't hesitate to chose a soup of the day instead of fries if you want a more healthy meal. One downside of sitting at the small bar is that you have constant view of the quite animated kitchen and staff running behind the counter, which is not at all enjoyable if you were planning a relaxing dinner. The remainder of the place is fine. Nice to sit outside during summer. Some care should be put making reasonable cappuccinos, because it's clearly not the commercial machine's fault.

My party of 10 had a dinner and we were pleasantly surprised. A nice atmosphere, welcoming and a new experience. I like that this place is not pretentious in the sense that it really chose it’s menu niche and excelled at it!: burgers, sandwiches, poutines and a few hot meals. The bread is sourced through a local baker and tastes amazing. The meat is good, the seasoning and cooking is on point! The prices are reasonable. All in all, a very good experience. The only downfall is that I experienced an upset stomach that night. I removed 1 star for that. Hopefully it is an exception. I had the Italian sausage sandwich with side fries and side Caesar salad.

Really enjoyed the Bison burger and Bison poutine, beer selection was terrific even though there weren't too many options, price was lower than what I would consider fair for what I got. The server was bilingual thank god because I speak French with all the skill of a 3 year old, and she was absolutely lovely. My only disappointment is that they're located 6 hours away from my home, making a return visit very difficult. Even still, I'll be back one day.

I loved the menu selection and my food was delicious. The only thing that absolutely traumatised me today is from the booth that I had, I had a view of inside the kitchen. My friend and I witnessed one of the cooks making meat patties with his hands with no gloves and placing them on a tray. The staff are so kind, even in these difficult times. It shows that they care about their customers; on 05/12/2020, the Hostess thanked me for coming out, and said that it really helps. Le pire c’est que j’ai demandé une fois de le refaire et cela a servi à rien, j’ai donc fais gâcher deux plats.
