This Restaurant is included in the category of Moroccan restaurant.
Wonderful place! The atmosphere was nice and welcoming, the food was ridiculously good and came in big portions. We tried lamb couscous and homemade merguez tajine, and finished with an assortment of delicious handmade deserts. Highly recommend!
Had a solid dinner with the buffet offerings, will go back anytime. Friendly staff, good tea, salads need some improvement.
Every thing was delicious and yamy except for the new zealand lamb. If it was with Canadian fresh lamb it would great.
Amazing service and food. The lunch buffet was superb. Best lamb I've had in awhile.
The food is amaaaaazing. Really enjoyed it
Very friendly very expensive. Bones in food but that's the culture and that deserves five stars. I don't like how close the booths are but honestly I added one extra star writing this. Go for the company if your lonely. They'll make you feel like your home
Good food and service. Very affordable.
My fiancée and I have chosen Chez Fatima for our small wedding reception/dinner in June. We trialed the menu a month ago, and met with Fatima herself! She is a lovely woman, so welcoming, warm, and accommodating. She makes you feel like you're part of her family. The food was amazing - lamb with dates, a variety of salads, the hummous was the best I've ever had, not to mention the home made cakes for dessert and mint/green tea. Her staff are all very polite. We are so looking forward to our special day and cannot wait to have our families enjoy a delicious authentic Moroccan meal. Thank you Fatima and see you soon!!! Alisha & Matt
Great food, reasonable price, lovely staff. What else do u need to know?
Great food and wonderful service. Recommended!
Chez Fatima always serves Succulent, Fresh and North African Taste. I Have eaten at the restaurant and also got delivery in the quarantine and her dishes never miss the mark, always top class. Will take friends and family without a doubt. P.S: Picture of Couscous Royal & Harira Soup, Top notch taste.
I have not been to Morocco so I can't comment on the authenticity, but I like the lamb tagine I ordered. It was cooked and served in a real tagine. The portion is also great.
Really nice lunch buffet with great food and lovely desserts.
Authentic Morrocan buffet menu with a tasty selection of dishes for vegetarians and gluten free patrons. Fatima was our caring hostess for our group of 8 people and was a fun person to get to know. The mint tea was great with dessert! Thanks.
Good restaurant even though there was no place to sit as tables were already reserved when i went there, but Fatima was kind enough to let us takeaway the buffet meal and the food was also delicious! will definitely visit again :)
Excellent food and v good service. Only drawback was high number of wasps outdoor that attack food plates as soon as they're put on table. We had to go indoors. The restaurant can do something about it, there are non-chemical solutions available.
One of the best merguez ever tried, better than the most in Paris, best service too!
3.5/5: Excellent BUT... They were rushing and food wasn’t warm enough. We had the buffet 25$ is a bit too much for what we had.
This is a true gem! A family run establishment, the hospitality was above and beyond our expectations. We had the buffet, which was unbelievably delicious and very reasonably priced (~$20). Fatima treated our party to the Moroccan delicacy pastilla, definitely worth ordering à la carte. Will be going back soon, for sure!
Food was delicious and the buffet selection is amazing! I recommend the olive lemon chicken
Mrs. Fatima is nice person, good food, good serve. Its halal for moslem
Food is great and the owner, Fatima, is a lovely woman. She treats her customers like old friends. I cannot wait to return.
We went there Saturday night. It was packed and we makde reservation 2 hours before. They had buffet as well as prder a la carte menue. But manager told ua menu food is same as buffet. Buffey selection was realy good and fresh; mussel rice, hummus, variety of salads, braised chicken and lanb shanks. Oh and desserts were really tasty
Absolutely my favorite spot for Marrocan cuisine in the region. The food offerings are varied and cooked with skill. The service is excellent.
The food is great.. I recommend Fridays and Saturday buffet!
Great food.. all Halal. Great variety for the lunch buffet.
Excellent food! The atmosphere, the quality of the food and service is awesome!
The food was great, especially the lamb. The owner was very friendly and the staff was cheerful. It’s a small restaurant so keep that in mind in case it gets busy during peak hours.
Pros: • Delicious food • Friendly owner Cons: • The place is filled with live and dead insects on the booths!!! • The buffet was not ready at 5:30pm as said • Mediocre service • I completely admire family restaurants and their atmosphere, but there must be professionalism. You can't have kids go to the buffet, start picking stuff with their hands, or start eating right by the dessert tables. The way food is served and placed must be more professional. Although the food was extremely delicious, and the owner was beyond friendly and adorable, I couldn't push myself to put anymore food on my plate. Got disgusted and left.
Great food. Home made. Yum!
Bufffet was wonderful. Service was average.
Very good. We had the buffet and it was a bit hard to have a buffet when you cannot actually handle the food - one of the pandemic peeks I suppose - and the server knows little English. leaving that aside de food was awesome! the venue could be better but who cares when you have the best lamb in town? will definitely return and highly recommend!
Great good and atmosphere. Very family-friendly and warm welcome from Fatima.
Sad, disappointing buffet lunch. Overpriced at $19. Feels like a cafeteria buffet. Lackluster staff and a $4 coffee. I will never return.
Perfect meal for this hungry vegetarian! Wonderfully spiced Moroccan dishes in an all you can eat buffet, what more could you ask for? I especially liked the eggplant, and salads were great too. Desserts were delicious. Friendly people, wonderful meal!
Great food and service. Definately will go again.
It's such a cozy place but they didn't seem to check or refill food when its empty till they are told. I don't know but I must say I did see other people shy to ask for certain things. Hope they change. Else I would have given a 4star
I visit this restaurant looking for Morocco’s food location is bad no parking the restaurant is too old to use the washroom you have to go 3 floor up and the buffet was cold not fresh wast money
Authentic Moroccan flavours ???? and working during the pandemic
You must (must) try the pastilla! The tagines are also to die for. Best Moroccan in Ottawa and maybe North America. If you dined here a few years ago please note the menu has been revamped & improved immeasurably. The flavours are perfectly balanced. This is the real thing - you will not be disappointed.
THE BEST! Moroccan food is generally rich in flavor, and delicious. It is however at its best when it is homemade. This restaurant makes every meal feel like home meal. The owner is the chef, who is talented at what she does, very organized, and friendly. She asked us for our opinion to make sure we liked the food and had a good experience which we did. The atmosphere is nice and calming. It is fanily friendly, and can be perfect for business too. The decoration is on point and the music is well picked!
The food is amazing. The best lamb I ever had! Definitely try their dinner buffet.
Great beer. Cool buffet. I'm not usually a buffet person as I have a lot of restrictions so I didn't really eat much but they had yummy warm bread and lovely dessert. Good chicken and veg on the day we went. Service wasn't fast but not terribly slow either. Overall a good lunch experience. I would prefer a menu instead of a buffet personally. Clean bathroom on the 3rd floor. Not stroller/ wheelchair friendly.
Delicious and interesting flavours! Great for exploring Morrocan cuisine. Loved the eggplant dish and lamb dish in the buffet. Desserts were sweet and delicious. Fatima greets you and gives you great service as well! Would highly recommend.
Very warm and welcoming staff. We didn't have reservations but they accommodated us at the bar. Lunch buffet was nice. Baklavas were great! The soups and salads were the highlight, although they have lamb and chicken (which I didn't try).
Outstanding. I felt like I was in someone's house as a guest. The service was super friendly and prompt. The food was wonderful. Everything homemade and delicious
Come late on a slow night and you'll get all the leftover pickings from the buffet, Fatima and staff are so lovely and kind. They even brought us a space heater on a cool, winter night.
Fresh bread, home-style cooking, friendly service and delicious food in an unpretentious setting. Top notch!
The lunch buffet was awesome and such a great price. When I went back for seconds there was a new variety of food put out which was awesome. I was able to try more of this delicious Moroccan food. Yum!
Great food. Randomly came across this place best decision ever. You're not going to regret eating here.
Family business. Delicious food and great service.
amazing experience. the owner and chef Fatema goes out of the way to serve you. very down to earth servers.
This place has been around for so many years for good reason. The food is incredible at the lunch buffet. So is the service. It's the little things like having 3 debit machines at once going to make the lunch rush that much faster. Plus the desert is insanely addictive.
Always a good time - come to eat, stay for the belly-dancing and meet new people. This relaxed atmosphere requires a reservation. Unlike traditional restaurants that seat every hour or so, you'll be there the night. If you aren't into buffet, just ask for a la carte. It's that simple. Fatima is always welcoming to her regulars. Great family affair.
Very nice place, nice people family restaurant , A bit of méditerranéen music in the background as ambiance would be nice I think ???? ..
Excellent food! I had the lamb shank with cumin in the tajine, with couscous. Very busy Friday & Saturday night, so you have to reserve in advance.
Excellent service, Food is awesome with lots of variety. Their dessert is tasty and authentic. Love every detail about this place. I recommend it to everyone and definitely going back again!
Love their buffet, great price with delicious Mideast food
A gem in Gatineau. Really friendly and excellant authentic morrocain food. Come meet Fatima !
The staff are wonderful, and the place has such a great atmosphere.
Just had their buffet lunch. Gave me foodgasms for sure. Lamb especially. Friendly Morrocan family. Solid experience.
Didn't really get the vibe of authentic morrocan cuisine
Friendly staff and nice atmosphere The lamb shanks was a little hard, dry and lots of fat Worth the visit
Cozy & homie buffet restaurant that will surprise you with original and flavorful dishes includes wonderful desserts. Great friendly staff and a reasonable price. Really appreciated lunch there.
Went to the dinner buffet and The food does not deserve more than two stars and it's very pricy for the quality and flavor. Actually NO FLAVOR in their food whatsoever. The staff are nice and friendly, the place is too small and simple with minimum moroccan decoration or style. The place does not deserve 4.4 at all and don't put your expectations high on the food.
I was never a huge fan of Moroccon food myself, but I had to try this place because of how much I'd heard of it. And I'm glad I did. The food was really tasty and genuinely felt like a home cooked meal. The chef herself was EXTREMELY nice and friendly making sure everyone was enjoying their food and had all they need. She really seems to be someone passionate about what she does. The restaurant is definitely worth trying, for their food and for that sweet lady.
This morrocan food is absolutely delicious. Decent price for the quantity, highly recommend! Make sure to call way ahead of time to make your order
Excellent quality food, service and location - I had a bit of everything in the buffet. Authentic and Spicy but not too hot. Food was fresh and put out quickly. Friendly staff. It was a bit expensive but well worth it.
Fatima is very polite and she was kind enough to offer us a table without a reservation but the food was cold and tasteless. We weren't offered anything to drink and quite on the expensive side for the quality of food. Don't know if it's always a buffet setting but we looked at the reviews and were hoping for a better experience. Won't risk going there again!!
Good food and very hospitable owner. We came from Toronto for visit and tried Moroccan food for the first time. She made sure that we had a good experience. The lamb was very tasty and delicious. That is the best. We liked it with rice more than couscous. The owner realized and added extra. Thank you so much for the hospitality.
Best food very authentic Excellent service really recommend it
The best place for moroccan food... Always a pleasure to be There .. amazing atmosphere and great customer service
Great food, very tasty and very nice service. A bit expensive but a must try.
1. Delicious food 2. Friendly service 3. Dine-in and all you can eat with a wide variety of options …
It's a nice place clean and propre With good service
A fabulous experience. The food was excellent. Wonderful service from Fatima and her staff. Apparently, we were there on the first night of reopening since renovations. Fatima took excellent care of us. Highly recommended.
It was a great experience. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. When you have a family restaurant that is run by it's owners, you get top service. You have the option to choose the open buffet at a reasonable price, or to choose a la carte from the menu. My kids chose from the menu and the rest of us took open buffet option. They offer great meat and vegetarian options and everything is tasty. I would and will definitely recommend this place to people. I've had Moroccan food in Morocco before, and I felt I was back in Casa Blanca again tonight.
We really enjoyed our meal here. The owner took great care of us and the food was super tasty. Will come again ????????
Took some Montreal friends for diner buffet before a night of going out on the town. Blown out of the water, we were, sooo awesome good! Choice, fresh, savoury, tasty. Plus such friendly warm welcome from Fatima and staff. Highly recommend.
Not a bunch of options to choose but the ones they had taste good.
Saw this place on trip advisor. Got the buffet $24.95 for the evening buffet and half price for children. Very nice food. Lots of choice. Desserts are excellent. Staff was really friendly, the lighting and atmosphere excellent. A brilliant place to go to for food.
Really delicious meal... great location and service
The food was very flavourful and authentic. Fatima was so kind and welcoming. A hardworking lady and very inspiring!! Totally recommend :)
Amazing people and amazing food. Delicious and healthy. It's hard to find a high quality buffet.
One of the best restaurants in Ottawa. Chef Fatima is a wonderful woman and her food and service is amazing!
Amazing place! The food was delicious and authentic, tasted exactly like my grandmother's cooking! Prices are great for the quality of the meals. The staff was also wonderful and made us feel right at home, highly recommend!
The best affordable and delicious Moroccan food, the hospitality, the service, the smiles all around. It is a wholesome restaurant in Gatineau that leaves you satisfied every time. 10/10 recommend.
From Morocco, with lots of love. ❤️
I came here with friends without expecting much and it turned out to be the best meal ever!! Fstima herself came over, took our order and served us. We had Tagin, Pasteille and soup. Let me tell you I've never had better food in my life. The Tagin was beyond amazing and I've never had the perfectly balanced sweet and salty flavors. We wanted to share some food so after overhearing us, she was kind to make a bigger Pasteille so we could all eat. And to top it all, when we were packing our leftovers, she packed us extra food just because. It truly felt like a home cooked meal from the food to the amazing hospitality. Thank you Fatima! I'll definitely be coming back :)
Fatima is amazing!! Extremely hospitable and treats you like her kids. Fantastic food as well. Please please visit this beautiful restaurant in Ottawa. Best place hands down!
We stumbled upon Chez Fatima on our last night in Ottawa and we are so glad we did. We chose the buffet and there was a great selection of fresh salads, vegetarian fare and plenty of meat options (fish, chicken, and lamb shank) as well as rice and cous cous. The buffet also came with dessert. On the downside it was a bit pricey ($22.95 each) for the dinner (at lunchtime the same buffet is $13.95) but all in all the food was very authentic and had amazing flavours. We will come back again next time we are Gatineau.
Amazing authentic food and family like hospitality. Soooo good! Yay for REAL food!
Wonderful food and friendly service.
Wanted to try a moroccan style.. nice restaurant.. food is nice but not as great as I expected.. service is good and they are welcoming.. has parking lots nearby
Highly recommend for Morcian food, great experience and freidly team
Great value for price and always friendly service!
Food was very good, but extremely pricey.
Very convenient place. Extremely friendly staff. And amazing food.
Delicious! Bit pricey but nice experience and atmosphere. Note that the buffet has gone up to $28 and there is a 15% service charge for groups over 10.
Delicious food and pretty fancy but not bad price.
Incredible food, very nice atmosphere. Fatima is a lovely lady, I'll be brining my family here
She catered a party. The lamb was delectable! And the hummus is addictive. My belly is happy????
Nice Moroccan cuisine. Lovely ladies working there.
excellent service and fresh hone made food
Excellent restaurant. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the food
Went for the lunch buffet. $20 for really bland food and a lacking service. A very disappointing experience and I won't be going back.
Absolutely scrumptious food, superb service and pleasant atmosphere. Will definately be going back.
Wonderful food
Food was good, but no ventilation system well.. It means, after your lunch/dinner, you will have all menu on your coat all rest of day.
Best lamb you can have in terms of a buffet
We came to this place based on all the good reviews .. wow! What are you all talking about? These reviews are misleading! Food was bland! It wasn't served until 6pm they should have everything ready by 5:30pm I've been to Morocco and had authentic Moroccan food. This is nothing like it. And dessert? 2 plates of some kind of sweet. No fruits, no nothing.. $25 a person is way TOO much for what you get.
A long-standing restaurant owned by two incredibly warm and welcoming women. I was constantly reminded to relax and feel like home and I fed exactly that. During lunchtime, they offer an awesome buffet with loads of vegetarian choices. I haven’t had such a nice lunch in a long time. Thank you very much!
Great food. Authentic recipes. Owner is lively and lovely
Very tasty traditional Moroccan food and friendly staff in a cozy setting.
I enjoyed the experience eating in this great place. From the moment that you enter, the service is amazing, really friendly and willing to help you with everything you need, including 2 very demanding clients, of 4 and 3 years old. Thanks to the wonderful team for making us feel like home. The food is really delicious, it's a small buffet, but with good options and quality, we went during lunch time and we paid around 57 $ for all. I will definitely go back when visiting the city. IMPORTANT: If you have babies or small kids, there is not a changing station in the bathroom (it is on the second floor), and there is not elevator, take it into consideration.
Great find for a dinner. Service was very friendly and attentive even offering recommendations. Several in the group went for buffet that had a great diversity of choices and were equally impressed! Will definitely return.
Food is very good ..they are so generous..price is very reasonable.. i wish only if we could sit outside owner and chief is very cute and friendly..
This is an awesome restaurant with amazing staff. Great value and lots of vegan options!
We haven't eaten there but buffet was very tempting and Fatima herself is a very welcoming lady
Nice place and nice people. everything was good, we were there at 5 and the buffet was already set.
Great authentic food, friendly staff, lovely interior. Going again!
Amazing tajine and stews. Highly recommended if you feel like a home cooked meal.
I loved this place, all of the the food and the service were sooo good!! I had their dinner buffet. Fresh and delicious.
Great food. Beautiful people runnjng a friendly and cozy restaurant. The tajine with pruins and apricots was excellent. I will be a regular here.
Great place and atmosphere, food is so delicious...the buffet has so many options, I definitely recommend this place!
Delicious meal, lovely atmosphere and very kind service.
Fatima, and her food, and absolute joys! I can vouch for the tagine with chicken, prunes & figs. Go! Enjoy!!
Wonderful food and great service. Would definitely recommend. Merci Fatima !
Absolutely incredible. The food is so unbelievably delicious and unique. Flavours, aromas, all so deliciously overwhelming in the best way! Fatima, the owner, is so sweet and you can see she puts so much love into her restaurant and food! The chicken is so well seasoned and moist and the lamb is so perfectly cooked you could cut it with a spoon. I couldn’t finish my couscous so I asked for it to go, and the wonderful Fatima filled up my to go container with extra couscous so I won’t home with a third plate to go! Really could not recommend enough. I suggest making reservations cause it gets busy!
Fantastic buffet with lots of choices and excellent service all evening.
Amazing food and owner is so kind! Love it :)
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND 'FATIMA' AS A GOOD RESTAURANT. After reading the reviews, we thought we'd give it a try. My husband and I went there for supper. THE REVIEWS ARE DECEPTIVE. This place won't last another year ! The food was merely ok. nothing to write home about. We had the Buffet- The food was not hot, it was lukewarm at best, there were three desserts, watermelon, date squares, and some kind of apple crumble. Nothing we ate was worth the amount of money our bill came to. We did not have any liquor or pop and still the bill was outrageous for the quality of food. The waitresses gave the impression that they were part of the family working there. There was this tension in the air among the people busting about the kitchen area and the small buffet area. The whole atmosphere seemed anxious and tense. It's as though the family members waiting on people were kind of arguing with one another in their Arabic language. The place has NO A/C and even on a cool summer evening, this very small restaurant was too hot inside, to enjoy being there. We got the impression the place was full of the owner's friends and family relatives, rather than regular customers. WE'LL NOT BE BACK. .
The best Moroccan food around. It's worth going out of your way to come here and eat great food. Take the buffet. Comparing the price for a meal a la carte (average 22.99) and the buffet (27.99), pay the extra few dollars and taste different dishes instead of just one. Owner is magnificent and Cater to your needs.
Great home made food, bit on the pricey side buffet but the food was freshly made delicious varieties , deserts options were limited but tasty. The atmosphere was great and the service was top notch.
Wonderful little place in Gatineau! We were out for Eid and looking for a nice Halal meal, and the great reviews led us to Chez Fatima. We were certainly not disappointed; the food was amazing. The soup was delicious, the pastries flaky and light with savory filling. The tagines (one lamb, one chicken) were lovingly made, both very different-tasting and with a variety of tangy and sweet ingredients, and the meat literally slid off the bone and melted in our mouths. We chose not to have the buffet, but the lovely ladies running the place still offered us kaftas fresh from the oven, along with rice, free of charge. They were so friendly with my young kids (who were having a slightly tough time sitting still at the table). When we had to leave because of the kids' bedtime, they made sure our desserts went with us, packed for later. It was overall a lovely experience - with very friendly service, lively conversation (again, with credit to the lovely ladies running the place), and a scrumptious meal. Will return, and recommend to everyone!
A.m.a.z.i.n.g. I haven't even left the restaurant yet.. couldn't wait to post my review. We had the buffet and everything we took was delicious. Feels homey and the atmosphere is really good. You have to eat here - you wont regret it!
Very delicious food but no big variety on menu
Food was amazing. So much flavour. Had the tajine.
Loved it ! Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. The food is very good and feels like home made.
Went for 'all you can eat' lunch buffet and at $15 it is probably the best value for money meal you'll find in the Hull area. Friendly service, great buffet selection, and very good quality food. Only downside is that you'll have to roll yourself out of the restaurant.
Not worth the price. I went last week because I saw the great reviews and I was close by. I was the only customer there... But let me tell you, there was still a lot of other people there. I can almost guarantee that it was the owner’s family literally spaced out around the restaurant, all casual and talking loudly to one another across the room. Like there was a the grandpa on his laptop on one end then the parent scolding his child on the other... Even though I was the only customer, I still didn’t manage to have a peaceful dinner. Ironic. The lady with the child didn’t even apologize when her daughter was running around and I kept trying to navigate around her. Also my server, who I assume is part of the family, didn’t even check up on me at all. Yes she kept taking my plates away and filling my water but she never asked me how my food was and do things that a normal server should do! The food itself was okay. Only the fish really stood out to me. Since the rest of the menu was expensive, I decided to just go for the buffet since it was only an additional few dollars. It was nice to try a variety but not worth coming back for. And since I didn’t think the food nor the service nor the ambiance was worth it, I didn’t tip. And when my server noticed, she was snarky about how I didn’t tip. First of all, it’s none of your business. Second, I don’t believe the restaurant deserves it. Third, your snarky attitude completely validated as to why I didn’t tip. Overall: okay food, needs better service and the owner needs to separate family from business.
Small intimate venue with some tasty dishes
Authentic Moroccan food. Food is delicious and well prepared. Staff is professional and helpful.
Cozy, family run restaurant with great food. The staff are very friendly and go the extra mile to give you a great experience.
Great food and service. This place has all what I look for in a dining experience... warm and family oriented.
The food was absolutely delicious - everything made in house - and the service was amazing. The owners took the time to make sure we had everything we needed.
Nice food and prices , but the service need to be improved.... pastries were not excellent... mint Tea we wasn't that good though
The food was super delicious and you feel like you've visited Morocco
The food is excellent. The tables we were seated in, however, is close to the kitchen so it is hot. Nice staff.
Too expensive for limited choice, at least its fast.
The team is really welcoming and nice. Food is delicious, couscous was really good , the lamb is fantastic. Portions are generous and you can taste a true homemade authentic food.
Amazing customer service and amazing food. Very warm and cozy
Incredible value for both the quality and quantity. Food was top notch, I had just moved to the area and stumbled upon it while looking for a quick meal. I was very lucky to have found this gem, I will definitely be a return customer.
Excellent food, atmosphere, and service. The food is authentic and the sweets are just great (not too sweet). Highly recommend this place.
Wonderful place! The food is incredible, portions are huge, and the staff really make you feel like a part of the family!
Excellent food and excellent service. I would highly recommend Chez Fatima.
Very delicious food.. Fatima is a great and friendly person. She treats you as one of her friends. LOVE IT AND STRONGLY RECOMMEND ????????????????????
As ever - Amazing Great Food like my Mom made on special occasions. The atmosphere is soooooo friendly and welcoming. The buffet is "The Best"
Delicious as usual with the best service from Tante Fatima????????????????
This is a family place with perfect food. It feels like going to grandma's thanksgiving. Very caring and friendly Moroccans. We tried four dishes and all of them were great.
Meilleur restaurant Marocain à Ottawa! Made me feel like I got teleported back to Morocco for a really nice meal. 10/10 would recommend
Authentic Moroccan cuisine with warm and friendly service. Fatima will take of you and your guests with gastronomic passion and artistry.
Home made quality of food. Can't get any better than that. A little bit of something for everyone.
Too expensive for the quality we had. I will never order again.
Lovely food, lovely ambiance... Just a lovely place. I find myself here at least once a week.
Great family restaurant. Friendly atmosphere and great lamb!
This place is amazing! Great atmosphere. Delicious Moroccan food that is excellently priced.
Absolutely delicious food! Fall-off-the-bone, tender, succulent lamb! The manager, Fatima, was warm and hospitable. The portions were generous. Overall a great experience.
Tasty Moroccan fare. Staff with true personality. The buffet gives a chance to try a bit of everything for $28. Good deal since it's generally $21-23 per plate anyway.
If you love Food, Hospitality and Care, just visit Chez Fatima. Don't look for options. Owner ( Fatima) is very much cordial, caring and always ready to give you the best experience possible. I strongly recommend this homely restaurant.
Amazing hospitality, great food, lovely staff.
Amazing place with tasty food. Best couscous in town.
Friendly, attentive personnel. Buffet had a wide variety of tasty food.
Best fresh food and very friendly service. Would go again and again
Generous portions, good food, fair prices, excellent customer service. Chez Fatima provides a comfortable and 'homey' ambiance for her patrons. This is probably one of the best Moroccan restaurants in the Ottawa/Gatineau region. Highly recommended!
Not to be missed! The food is delicious every time. Try the harira soup and the chicken or seafood pastilla to begin, then the lamb tagine. Scrumptious! Great service too.
Great service by Gerry and great food!
The food was alright overall. It's not something I would return to eat again. You are at a mom and pop's diner, is the feeling you get. It's not worth the money overall but if you feel the need to try it then go ahead. I gave them 4 stars because they are determined and friendly.
the food is delicious, the service is friendly and Fatima is Beautiful
Great, friendly staff. Delicious food. Buffet has a good selection of hot meals, soup and plenty of salad options. Homemade crusty bread is addictive in both flavour and texture. Carrot cake for dessert tasted really good and also had a nice texture: same for the upside-down pineapple cake and a number of other dessert options. Also had Chicken Tagine with lemon and olives a-la-carte and added artichokes. Yum!!
AMAZING !! the hostess Fatima is amazing and friendly and beyond generous. the food reminded me of Moroccan restaurants in paris. The belly dancer was a fun addition to the night with Fatima playfully cheering and dancing. The service is so great and friendly you'd feel like you're visiting a relative. We got wrapped fresh Anise Bread as a "gift for breakfast" , and when i ordered coffee i got 4 pieces of delicious moroccan sweets. The atmosphere was so much fun and I will definitely be there soon and invited my friends over...
Such a great experience. First time having Moroccan cuisine and they graciously walled me through the buffet. Will be back !!
We had an amazing dinner here for the second time in the past year. The food is extremely flavourful and delicious, the service is very friendly and attentive and portions are large so come hungry! Highly recommend the lamb tagine with fruits and almonds.
Worst place I have ever been to. The food was very bad for this type The server was really rude. My friend had to apologize for taking us, that's how rude they were.
If you have the buffet, everything is perfect except the vegetables are overcook (mushy). The lamb and chicken are so good. I eat them with only my fork.????
This is a great restaurant the food is delicious and the service is superb
Great meal and selection. Cute family establishment but slow and lacking good service. Very expensive for dinner.
Great food and environment! Loved the owners...so friendly and funny! Highly recommend the lamb shank and the fresh bread!
Love the place and everything about it. And Fatima is the best authentic marocon lady I ever met
Lovely and delicous food and atomsphere. However, they over charged me for eating in a buffet when I did not have a buffet. And were rude about taking it back. Then they over charged me with their soup (Harira soup suppose be 4.50$ they charged me 6.95$). Overall, a good experience expect for this. The service was just rude and ungrateful (could have been an off day for them, but this is how I felt).
