A little pricy, but definetly worth it. The food was amazing, the menu was very extensive, and the buffet was delicious. The only thing I could criticize is the small seating area. My elderly grandparents were with our party, but there was no waiting area, so they had to wait upstairs in the hotel lobby.

Stayed at the Hilton lac Lemay and had breakfast here, as it's the only place around. Dinner was very expensive and the place was booked solid, so I can only comment on the breakfast buffet. It's what you'd expect from a full service Hilton, eggs made to order, if that's what you want, lots of choices, smokel fish, cheeses, awesome crepes, French toast, oatmeal, etc. The only let down was the potatoes, they are obviously a "food service" grade item, meaning they are pre cooked, processed and come from a bag. Not up to par with what a full service place should be offereing. Aside from that, 20 for breakfast is decent and kids under 12 are half price.

I dined at Arôme Seafood and Grill with my family on Sunday. We enjoyed a pleasant brunch buffet. By far, Arôme Seafood and Grill is the best buffet I have ever been. Although the brunch was "buffet food", the quality of the food was above and beyond any buffet. There was a large variety of foods to choose from: cheese and crackers; cold cut and meats; pastries and breads; pastas; salads; soups; baked potatoes; and a high-quality selection of desserts. When I walked into the buffet, I had a huge smile on my face when I saw their selection of custard tarts, chocolate moss cakes, and chocolate cakes. My favourite selections were: marinated duck, smoked salmon, the variety of cheeses, and cheesecake. I think they should have a better selection of fruits. When I went, the only fruits they had were melons (water, honeydew, cantaloupe), and pineapple. The price for brunch is $31.90 for an adult. I was very pleased with their service. The waitors/waitresses were courteous, and joyful. They were all bilingual, of course. The setting is more to the high-end than casual. The dining space is very tidy and clean. The restaurant was quite full on a Sunday morning, so guests should make reservations before dining. I enjoyed sitting by the window, were I was exposed to the light of the sun. I love how there is a lot of natural sunlight shining into the restaurant. I recommend this restaurant for family and friends who want to treat themselves to a nice, hearty meal.

This place is the best place to eat in Gatineau/Ottawa in my opinion. The patio may be open during summer with stunning view on Lemay Lake. While we were there, there was a BBQ buffet with sea food and deserts. Service is excellent too. Overall I recommand this place is perfect! Will go again, many times.

My experience at l’Arome was excellent! I contacted them a few weeks in advance and organized an Anniversary Brunch for approximately 50 people. The online support and communication with them was excellent. On the day of the event, the service was very good and the food selection and quality was superb. The service included an endless refill of coffee, tea and juice including removal of used dishes and utensils. The staff were very prompt at servicing the tables and people with very professional attention to the needs of the guests. As for the price, I believe you get what you pay for and so I found the price to be good for the quality of food and service provided. I would highly recommend their buffet and will definitely return in the future. The location, atmosphere and venue is also exceptional.

So delicious! Came with a party of 6 and everyone was happy with their meals, most of us got steak but 2 got the homemade ramen noodle vegetarian option and was told this was delicious too! It's a beautiful restaurant, nice white tablecloths. My father is very picky and every time we come here he has raved about how good his steak is. I can't wait to go back and sit out on the patio - it looks so pretty. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star is because we were basically kicked out of our table. I was never told we only had the table for a limited time so I thought this was unprofessional and a little rude. The restaurant was not packed, there were many open tables and no guests were waiting so we all thought this was a little odd. Other than this it's a great restaurant and would definitely recommend!

To make up for this unfortunate experience and to celebrate our wedding anniversary, he marked our phone to give us another restaurant experience with impeccable service. It was very noisy as we got in! Felt like I needed ear plugs... ☹️...But the food was great ! A shout out to Marc and the chef . From the starters to the desert everything was spot on ! The waiters are sloppy and the food is not worth the cost. The steak was gross and the mashed potatoes were full of butter just the taste was off. They use red flasks to pour water. The calamari had mayo as a dip which seemed cheap. Just the overall restaurant was a joke. I would rather go to Shore Club or another place. What annoyed me the most was the sloppiness of the wait staff. I won't go again.

Je crois par contre qu'ils ont de la difficulté à recruter du personnel. Il manquait cruellement de serveurs le 30 juin 2019 en soirée. Le resto n'était pas plein mais on sentait qu'ils n'étaient plus en contrôle. 3 serveurs se sont succédés à notre table ce qui a causé beaucoup de confusion et d'erreurs. Mauvaise entrée servie, un serveur m'offrait le dessert quand on attendait encore nos plats principaux, erreur de facturation, attentes nombreuses, une des entrée avait passé trop de temps sous le rechaud... Pas une soirée ratée heureusement mais une impression générale de désorganisation, d'être bousculé. Ah oui, petit conseil au chef: on ne crée pas une entrée de fruits de mers pour deux "à partager" (comme il est suggéré dans le menu) avec une seule crevette! Gênant de séparer une crevette en deux! Magnifiques les escargots et champignons sur toast par contre :-)

My favourite place for a nice night out; prime rib is delicious - I recommend the port sauce with it. Only reason they get 4 stars is because they have recently changed their super buttery and tasty mashed potatoes for roasted potatoes, and they changed the Ceasar salad from chopped and mixed before serving to deconstructed on a plate; still the same housemade dressing.

I ordered the seafood platter to split and it could have easily served three people it was so large. I liked that we weren't rushed to finish the meal even if they were getting close to closing time. I’m sorry to say that the main course was simply put “awful”. We ordered 4 soups, escargot, fillet mignon, beef strip loin and the rib-eye stake.The soup of the day, which was mushroom soup with truffle oil was delicious. The main course was sadly mediocre. At 50$-70$ a plate I expected a decently cooked meat. When the menu is small, you expect the chef to focus on the few items and to create something worthy of Hilton Lac Leamy Hotel & Casino. The escargot was not fresh and not edible. You don’t risk eating funky smelling escargot that is served room temperature. The beef strip loin was watery and not grilled properly. Probably the meat was cooked using sous vide and then barely touched the grill. That’s the only way we could explain the water in the steak oozing out of it. The rib eye was chewy and bland. These items were not touched and sent back. They didn’t even bother to offer to cook them properly or take them off. We didn’t care as we were duped by the fake reviews and the stars and knew we should have gone somewhere local instead of this place. The only thing good about the place was the view from the balcony. The desert was good as we tried the crème brûlée and the cheesecake. All in all, not worth it. Even if the whole meal cost 50$ I wouldn’t order it. Stay away. Simply because the place has a good view and people go there doesn’t mean they should serve garbage.

The outdoor buffet was disgusting, lettuce was yellow. Asked waiter to get a new one said right away and never came back. Sunday brunch is fantastic! Beautiful views with amazing service. Make sure you make a reservation for the brunch. There are 2 time slots for brunch, one at 11:30AM and another at 1:30PM. The only complaint I have that we waited 30 minutes for a table near window even when the restaurant was empty. After 30 minutes we got a table not at the window but close (many tables were empty). The lunch and breakfast buffet has a nice variety - definitely not the best in Ottawa but it's surprisingly cheaper than other hotel buffets so it's pretty good value. Explore dishes outsides the buffet too these are I think the best there. If the weather's good sit outside it is a beautiful view and sometimes they turn heaters on so it makes for a beautiful atmosphere. Definitely recommend if you live in Ottawa and are looking for a nice weekend breakfast or brunch

Went here last night as a group of about 10. The food was good but not worth the 90+ minute wait for our mains. And we were there at 9pm, not at the peak busy period. Even drinks took 30 minutes to arrive. I don't mind paying up for good food, but the experience needs to be there as well. The worst part, they added two separate 15% gratuities to the bill because of the size of our group is what they said. That is not acceptable. I understand one 15% gratuity, but 30%?? That is ridiculous. Will never set foot in this place again.

Where to start. The positives: Staff was awesome and the atmosphere is great. Thats it. For the negatives: I ordered filet mignon and asked for it medium. I received it completely raw inside. It was not edible for me. The carrots where wrinkly and dried up. The brussel sprouts where hard as a rock and not even close to being cooked unless you like them raw. The onion soup had no broth in it as too much bread. The chicken breast had skin on it. Absolutely terrible first time experience. Definitely quality control in the kitchen is required. I have been to this place several times and enjoy the hotel and the food. The waiter was friendly, however no one came to check if my food was okay and the bday dessert was served with no cutlery.... I can be okay with all of this, but was very frustrated at the coldness I received from the hostess and coat check lady when I did not speak French. well....it took almost 30 minutes after our reservation time to get our table, which turned out to be right next to a terribly cold air vent. Then it took 1hr 15 min to get our main - which ruined our after dinner plans. The food itself was so so - my appetizer the butternut taquidos were fantastic but the main dish the $28 "ramen" was a lump of thick noodles, do not order!!! My partner thought the chicken was ok but the mashed potatoes tasted out of a box. The atmosphere and waiter were good otherwise.

AFTER RE-OPENING FROM COVID-19 EXPERIENCE. Excellent service, great food and a terrific atmosphere. They had all of the proper safety measures in place. Waiters wear masks and face shields. Arrows on the floor to properly flow people in and out. Tables spaced apart correctly. You wear a mask into the front door of the hotel and down to the restaurant until you are seated. Aroma restaurant is not a very good choice for a large group. They offer a preset menu: vegetarian, fish or beef main meal options with either a salad or soup. The only beef option was a 12oz prime rib AAA, the meat was so fatty and lacks in taste. Asked for the salad dressing on the side and to substitute the mashed potatoes with extra vegetables for the main meal. The waiter took note of that, but didn't make the changes when the food arrived. At this price point, the quality of food and experience was definitely not worth it (50$ per person, 80-90$ including 1-2 drinks).

We dined at the Arome restaurant for breakfast twice, and one evening for supper - during our few day stay at the Hilton. On the first occasion we had the continental breakfast buffet, and sat on their lake view terrasse. The view is great and the ambiance is lively. The waffles , fruit, and sweets we had were fairly standard. The coffee, both regular and cappucino are terrible, against any standard. The service was slow. We had dined here the next day for breakfast again (the only option available before 11am on site) and ordered a la carte. The food was again fairly average, with the coffee seemingly being a recurring miss. Service was again, slow. As for the evening we had our supper there, disappointing and bland are some adjectives that come to mind. The service again, was extremely slow (cannot stress this enough). The food was under-seasoned, uncreative, and over priced. The cooks on our beef choices were off. It seemed like the chefs only knew how to prepare a "well done' cook, and that despite the cut of meat chosen. Our side of mashed potato, which looked extremely unappetizing in a big bowl (looked like a mountain of oatmeal), was the only thing that had any hint of salt or seasoning on our plates. Overall - 'You get what you pay for' is not a saying that applies here. If you are looking for a nice table outside with a great view, but have little to no expectations in regards to the food - Arome will satisfy you. If not, you're better off looking elsewhere to spend your money. Pros - Nice lake view, an elevator ride away from your room at the Hilton Cons - Slow Service, Subpar food
