Their burger game is a bit weak but its serviceable, their fries are really good and the atmosphere is really nice and relaxed, friendly staff, nothing feels rushed reasonable prices, would recommend it for sure.

The hours state it closed at 7pm. It is now 5:30pm with 5 costumers waiting to get served as the waitress said oh nope, kitchen is closed. They decided to close whenever they feel like it and not follow their own hours.

Not a very good experience today.. the cook must not care whats being served and how its being served. My Chicken Fillet Burger had hardly any lettuce (im assuming its because it was going bad as you can see in the picture), hardly any mayo and the tomato didnt tatse very fresh. My onion rings couldve been cooked a little bit longer. My friend got the Chicken Finger Snack with a side of poutine and her "chicken fingers" was one big chicken finger or something, and in the middle was gross (you can see in the picture) so she didnt even eat it and most of her fries in her poutine werent even fully cooked. Very unprofessional and going against health and safety. I hope this review is read by the owner of this restaurant so he/she can talk to the kitchen staff.

Was in town and usually goes to my default Swiss Chalet. This place is ok for a select few of "typical" baymen/newfies. From my experience the place needs a lot of work. Seating is tight and place disperatly needs paint. We had 2 burger platter with fries. The fries are homemade but tasted plain, actual homemade fries taste better. The burger was burned black on both sides of both burgers. Cheese slice was so fake and pale void of any taste. Price is high compared to most places of this type. I've had cheaper food downtown st. John's and $2 for a can of coke is steep. Next time I'll be having Swiss chalet. It's no wonder why the place is empty during supper time (5:30 at time of this review). 2 stars for the ok fries.

Usually had the cod au gratin dinner with fries but decided to have a hot Turkey sandwich, big mistake, gravy was very salty & very little Turkey on bread, waitress said they weigh out the Turkey, so probably contained 2 oz, I told waitress I wish I had known I had to pay extra for the turkey, the wife had the same experience, would not recommend

Typical friendly NL service, clean and welcoming atmosphere. Modified an omelette for me without any issues. Hash browns are not what you see elsewhere but in moderation they are quite tasty.

Good old Newfie cooking! Very friendly staff!! However the majority of the food is fried and rather expensive.. I go for the Newfoundland flavour when visiting!

Food was not as good as I remember. Less for your money. Nothing was sanitized. Watched waitress wipe table off with dirty cloth. Poor service considering we are in a pandemic. Not sure if I will ever go back. Sad to see this experience.

Food came to the table quickly however they don't know the difference between mayo and miracle whip also they don't know the difference between grilled chicken and fried chicken. Oh the fries were delicious

Went in today for lunch with my family, ordered the 2 piece chicken meal with mashed potato’s and my daughter had the chicken basket and husband had the breakfast. My chicken was completely dry and no flavour, my daughters chicken pieces were dry besides for the strips, and my husbands eggs were flavourless along with most of the meat and the bread was overly yeasty. She did take the price of the chicken off our bill, but when I went to pay their debit machine went down and I had to use the atm to take money out which charged me another $5 on top of my meal cost. So disappointed with this restaurant and won’t be back.
