Got overcharged.. Ordered 2 kids meals and it says in the menu it comes with soft drinks. So we asked the lady if we can have juice and chocolate milk instead and she said okay. When we checked the bill, she was punching the calculator super fast and I had no idea what she is doing. I just paid the amount without thinking too much at the moment. After I left the restaurant, I got suspicious on the total amount and then I realized she charged the 2 drinks on top. They could've just tell me the juice and milk are not included. But instead, she kept quiet and charge that afterwards (with her super fast fingers).

Bravo restaurant is one of those special gems that you only find in a small town. The decor is a cross between a 50’s diner and an Italian Spaghetti House with a splash of Greek Acropolis. What makes the Bravo an outstanding restaurant is the quality of their home cooked food. Their $7 lunch specials are not only a great bargain but they use quality ingredients. I ordered a chicken burger and was very impressed to receive a great burger made with real chicken breast and not some mystery meat patty. Their breakfast is one of the best in town! Their “meat skillet” is two eggs on top of a mountain of hash brown potatoes mixed with bacon and sausage and a layer of melted cheese. My absolute Favorite. The staff are very “matter of fact” but if you take the time to get to know them they are wonderful. My only complaint is that they can be slow with coffee refills at breakfast. That said....after bringing it up with the owner one day that has improved a lot. Do yourself a favour...if you are in Gananoque and are looking for a great breakfast or lunch, go to Bravo! You will not be disappointed.

Came here with our two kids because we heard it was great, but our experience was pretty average at best. Our server was very nice, no issues there. The food we ordered was just... boring, I guess. It wasn’t a terrible experience by any means but I don’t really get people “gushing” over this place. Maybe the breakfast is better.

(Translated) I ordered a poutine with an extra chicken. It was okay. The chicken a little dry and the portion barely sufficient to satisfy me. My mom got a piece of beef out of the freezer, which must have been thawed several times and refreezed. My brother's dish tasted nothing and the vegetables were mushy and disgusting. You feel that the food is not 100% fresh or even edible. The service was exceptional, well done to the waitress. (Original) J'avais commandé une poutine avec un extra poulet. C'était correct. Le poulet un peu sec et la portion à peine suffisante pour me satisfaire. Ma mère a reçu un morceau de boeuf sorti du congélateur, qui a sûrement été décongeler plusieurs fois et recongeler. I can't rate the food because we never received any. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We stood in the restaurant for several minutes, saw a waiter and a kitchen staff member delivering food, and were never acknowledged. A customer that was leaving told us to just take a seat, we didn't have to wait to be seated, so we sat down. We were sitting at the table for 7 minutes, again saw the waiter, but were never acknowledged. We finally got up and left, and walked past the waiter who did not say a word.

Definitely on our 'return' list. My wife ordered a Greek salad with chicken, daughter spaghetti and meat balls, and I had a burger and fries. The spaghetti was so big it could have fed at least two, ditto for the salad, and the burger was also a large chunk of meat, flavourful and juicy. The fries were among the best I've ever had. No room for desserts, maybe next time.

Definitely NOT the best breakfast in town.... it's the only place in town during the week! Service was horrible. A fly was killed on my table by the server. Our server was the chef.... coffee was horrible tea was even worse... (it's a tea bag and hot water..... that's it... I dont know how they got it wrong. Save yourself the time and headache go to No frills or Metro and make yourself a great breakfast. I gave 1 star because you have to give a star.....

Visiting from the UK, we read a review that described the restaurant as a cross between an American diner and a spaghetti house and they were nearly right. Add to that, Chinese people who are not fluent in English and you are close. The food was tasty, and cheap, but not authentic Italian. We had Brushetta with mozzarella which was unusual but we were not expecting it hot like cheese on toast. With the onions and tomato it was very tasty if odd.

This restaurant has a great breakfast at a very reasonable price. They always have the specials on the outside sign of. It's an older building, seating is hard to get around if you have a handicap. ( using a cane or walker). You also can order pizza from your home it is great pizza, I find the crust makes the pizza. I'd give The Bravo a 9/10 rating....

Wasn't expecting much from outside with their dirty windows and the cheap price they were promoting. We took the soup of the day which was almost funny. Looked like a Spaghetti sauce that turned bad and got retransformed in a soup with Chef Boyardi mixed with tomato paste. It had potatoes also in the mix. Lol! It didnt even taste any good. I took 2 spoons of it. But I laughed about That whole soup thing. It was 3$. I wasnt mad. I took their Spaghetti. Overcooked pasta with a cheap totato sauce. Had to add tons of peppers and salt To taste something. I finnished my plate but wasnt enjoying it much. Their garlic toasts saved most of it. They had jello for dessert. I had To pass on that one. Maybe in my next life. ???? I did not expecting much and i didnt enjoy it much. Its cheap, its old and its all chinese. The server had her 2 kids with her serving tables. The chinese dad wasnt understand "Glass of Water". Its not even cute. Please Go any other places. Thank me later ????

Stopped in for lunch, ordered garlic bread and poutine. Would rate the food 1 star. Gave 2 on my review because the prices were so cheap. My garlic bread was sliced white sandwich bread toasted and buttered. Was absolutely horrible. Will not return.

Good & typical breakfast food. Only complaint is that I don't agree with the pricing on their menus, things are cheap yet every addition costs money... you have to pay money to add anything into an omelette!? Usually an omelette already comes with vegetables in it, that shouldn't be an add-on.

Bravo restaurant was a favorite place for our family, but after tonight we went be going back under the new management. Two out of 4 plates were made wrong server only came to table once was charged for 8 drinks when only 4 were had.. I would.not recommend a visit to bravo any time soon.

I'm only rating this as a 2 because the one young lady there is beyond friendly. This was always my go to place, but the new owners are doing nothing great for this business. The shorter of the two young ladies working there (she said she was owner) is less than pleasant. Approaches the table and doesn't even say hello just "what your order" this doesn't change of its busy or slow in there. We tried being overly friendly thinking it would lift her spirits, it did not. The other lady is my favorite and is the only one who cares to speak to you. Not likely to return. I miss the original owners, Mr and Mrs Bonnus (sp?)

10 of us went for dinner. The server seemed overwhelmed with all the tables he had. Forgot an item, then only came to clear plates I had stacked. Rest sit there. Scrambled eggs are not scrambled more like wisked for 2 seconds which makes them egg whites and yolk mix. Burger was dry and overdone and didn't have proper seasoning. Fries are too crispy which makes me wonder what they are using. I'm sure you could get something decent here but they really need to work on their menu.

Placed an order for takeout. Went to pick it up and the price was 10$ more than their menu showed online (partly my fault I didn’t ask for the total before hanging up nor did she say it) she said «it’s from a few years ago the price went up » But I ordered my meal the menu said with fries but I received some old cold potatoes cubes. I’m sure they’re keeping their “old” prices to attract people worth the low price but then u go in and BAM it’s 5$ more per plate. False advertising and I wouldn’t go back.

Came for dinner. I ordered the Philly steak sandwich with fries ($11.00). Very pleasantly surprised. Fries were home cut, sandwich was generous and well presented. It needs a refresh on the interior, kinda ragged and extremely old school. ( hence my surprise...) Eat here instead of the "chain" places in town, it's a much better value, and a superior meal. Service was quick and friendly.

It was a bit of a strange experience......... I had the spaghetti with mozzarella cheese and added meat balls, it was good but the sauce had a hint of some sort of sauce that I couldn't put my finger on.... perhaps nutmeg... I'm not sure. It could have done without it. Otherwise no complaints. My wife had the steak which she seemed to enjoy. The service was quick and good and our server was on the ball. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is for a stranger reason. We had to endure about 5 minutes or so of whom I. Belive to be the owners fighting and screaming at one another in the back in what I belive was Chinese. I mean it was kinda funny but it definitely took from the over all experience. Nice job on the food folks but keep your arguments to a sound proof room.

A fabulous dining experience! Two of my dinner companions and I each feasted on the grilled cheese. To a person all agreed that the grilled cheese was indeed the greatest quality for the money. Bravo indeed! P.S. the western is Eastern Ontario's best according to another dining companion.

My partner and I brought my cousin from out of town hoping for a nice meal. What we were met with was bizarre takes on classic dishes and and some uncomfortable surprises. The mozzarella sticks were to be served with a homemade marina sauce but came with what clearly tasted like tostitos salsa. Needless to say my taste buds were confused. They do have decent quality mozzarella sticks but they were under cooked leaving only a taste of disappointment where there was potential. The chicken fingers where the same story, nice cuts if chicken but battered with what seemed like baking powered and far too much salt leaving your tongue feeling assaulted. The lasagne was a sloppy mess which would have been possibly passable if the 'garlic bread with cheese' wasnt wonder bread with craft singles melted on top. Finally the bacon burger with cheese. It actually looked delicious. Thick bacon, decent sized patty, but just as i got ready to take my first bite i noticed mold that had began to claim its stake on the bun. When i notified the server she loudly told me there was not a problem and looked terrifed to bring it back to the kitchen. She quickly left saying she was going to get another one. Stunned by this point, i sat there in disbelief, when all of sudden i could hear loud yelling from the male cook yelling 'No mold' repeatedly. All three of us were staring at each other at this point in utter shock, i stood up went towards the kitchen and waited by the bar for her to return. What seemes like an uncomfortable amount of time, during which they continued to argue and i considered returning to my seat, she finally came out and reiterated loudly there was no mold on my food as i could hear clanging coming from the kitchen and a man talking not so under his breath. I quickly insisted i didnt want anything else and to remove it from the bill which we were ready for. Needless to say, as we gathered to leave and pay at the counter, it was a silent affair. As we stepped out my cousin uttered 'wow' in a perplexed voice erupting us into a confused fit of laughter. Needless to say an experience worth sharing but not repeating. Not for me anyways.

I was many times over the years in this restaurant and it was ok. But just a few days ago stopped in the service was ok but I ordered a hamburger some fries which were to much, my son ordered a bravo pasta and a beer. The bill came to 39 dollars the bill was not showed to me. It was done over a calculator most likely not held for the purpose. Anyway I was overbilled and nipped anywere else I could the same meal for half the price. So this restaurant is of my list.

The food was good, not excellent nor was it bad. The service was slow, but only because there was one server (and they did a good job). Wouldn't say it would be my first choice, but definitely a solid option. The decor is definitely dated, women's bathroom was disgusting and needs a good cleaning.

This Sunday morning I decided to go to Bravo Family Restaurant for Breakfast and it was a very bad experience. I ordered my omellet with cheese which costs $2.00 extra and when it came there was no cheese on it. I politely brought it to the waitresses attention and she brought it back to the kitchen. That is when a man in the kitchen started yelling so loud that the whole restaurant heard him. I got my omellet back and he had opened it and slapped two large pieces of non melted cheese in it and sent it back. The yelling kept on through the rest of my time there. It was a really uncomfortable situation. The previous owners were always welcoming, great food and service. Now not so much. I will never go there again. I never usually post bad reviews, but this was extreme.

Prices were good and the atmosphere is comfortable. Service could be better, we had a big group with specific orders (like removing tomato or onions) and all of the food came with everything on it and they asked us to take it off ourselves. The one order they did have something removed, it was the one thing nobody asked to be removed. Overall the food tasted good and arrived in a timely manner for a big order.
