We are heading fro Toronto to Charlottetown. I have had a very nice experience 7 years ago in this restaurant, so for the second time I ate lunch with my family there. The service was excellant.. and quick. The restaurant was very cozy and cleen. The staff was polite. Do not miss its steak, chicken and onion soup.

Yum! The bruschetta and beef dip were both delish. We arrived at 7 and the patio was packed. We sat inside and shortly after they started turning people away due to a 30min kitchen wait. I would definitely recommend eating here as the food and service are fantastic, but be prepared it’s quite busy.

Service was good. Prices were fair. Food was just O.K...despite the pasta having bacon and several herbs, it had very little taste and the sauce was watery. I had to add lots of salt for it to be flavorful. This pasta dish was disappointing and left me burping it up even the next morning. Philly cheesecake was just O.K as well. We would not go back.

It was okay. My wrap was good but I wouldn't call it great. I wouldn't call any of the food great. Staff was nice and prompt. There were only a few other diners here during dinner. The prices for so-so food mean I would probably not return.

The food in this restaurant was good and the seating was nice, however it took about 1 hour and a half to get the steak while all the other food had arrived. Near the end when we were paying the waiter mixed up our recipts and put the wrong items on our receipt. Other then that the experience was nice and the food was pleasant.

Good food and very friendly service We have visited the place in August 2021. It has a nice patio and very friendly staff. The food is nice. We had the Pasta Carbonara (delicious) and Double Deck Burger (you need to have a very big mouth to be able to eat it. But delicious). The place doesn't accept bookings, but we waited at most 15 min for the patio. So, no need to book. We were 3, had spinach dip, greek salad, 2 pasta, 1 burger (a huge one), a glass of wine, a beer and paid around $120 (including tax, excluding tip) I definitely suggest this place. We were very happy with the food and with the environment.

Overall ok. Appetizers were delicious. Ordered Chicken Fajitas and was very disappointed with how it was made and had to send it back however they were kind enough to make me a different meal (I chose Chicken fingers and fries) which was good. Staff was very friendly and restaurant was clean and cozy.

We arrived to a dirty table that needed to be wiped down and still had dishes on it from previous customers. There was a hair in my chicken wrap and it was falling apart... The cheese on my dad's Philly cheesesteak wasn't melted and the meat was cold. There just needs to be more people working. The issue was that the food was being rushed out and consequently was sloppy. I'm assuming things would be better if they were staffed appropriately, or if you were to go when it's not busy.

We're stayed for two days in Gananoque in August 2013 and we found Anthony's via Google. Great Place for dinner and breakfeast. Very good beer. :-) The service was exzellent. The food enough at a high quality by a moderate price. Parking direct in front of the restaurant.

Let me start by saying the waitress there was very nice very kind very friendly we ordered the Reuben sandwich was very good Philly cheesesteak was really good and the turkey club it was excellent, we will definitely go back there again. Each sandwich came with a side and we had two alcohol drinks total bill $75

We only tried their breakfast menu, and they are very good, good portion and price, parking is not free, dollar per hour on the meters, however if you are going to the boat tour and going to park there anyways, it is just a short 10 mins walk from the boat parking.

Would not recommend! My friends and I stopped in for lunch mid road trip and were very disappointed. First, when we walked in there was a strong fishy odour. We assumed it was because they had a lot of seafood dishes on the menu- but after seeing it we realized there are only a few fish dishes, and nothing that seems like it would be that fragrant. So that was strange. Next. We sat inside but decided to move outside because of the number of dead and live flies in our booth. My food was gross. Two of us got steaks- which was a big mistake- they were verrrrry bland. It seemed like they weren’t seasoned at all- and the 12 oz prime rib came out with about 5 oz of fat... not exaggerating here. Service wasn’t good either. Our server, Emily, seemed disinterested and didn’t check on us even once during the meal. Beyond that, when she finally came to the table after we had all pushed our plates away, she saw that 3 of us left the majority of the food and didn’t even inquire about why. 4/5 of us work in the restaurant industry, and we’re generally very understanding because we know how it is, but it was honestly a terrible experience and next time we’re in town Anthony’s will definitely not be on the itinerary.

Covid precautions **I’m not a professional so this is subjective but things I noted were: The good: -Patio tables were well spaced -Took phone numbers for contact tracing The not so good: -Staff was wearing a shield however it was angled upwards so it didn’t seem to be protecting her or the guests well. She was however doing well to social distance from guests. -Shared menus were used

(This is for those who have a good appetite) and the creamy carbonara (good serving for someone who likes to eat light)! ????They do follow covid restrictions guidelines and sanitizers on most corners.. washroom could be more cleaner but other than that all of experience there is great also with the servers.

Very slow service. The table beside us have up and left before being able to order drinks. We were discussing doing the same when our server finally came back for drink orders. When our food finally came the server poured the sauce from my wife's dish in her lap. I've heard other people say good things so maybe it was an off night but we haven't been back to find out.

For those looking for the small pub atmosphere with quality service, this is the place! We had an 8 person group that spontaneously showed up to eat on the patio. Our server miss a beat! Through samples of their draft beer and accommodating vegetarian and hung over people she was amazing and accommodating! The food was all excellent and the server even brought out music to the patio for light entertainment! I give this a two thumbs up and if I ever return to Gananoque I will be back!

Me and the wife decided to venture out to Gananogue for the evening. Our place for supper was this amazing restaurant Anthony's. Marcie our server was friendly, place was clean and supper was amazing. Wife had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and I had the steak, baked potato, seasoned vegetables. After discovering Cousins was closed sundays (for some reason) my girlfriend and I were craving spin dip, after a quick Google we called them and they did have it so we went. Had that, the Buffalo chicken dip, a Caesar salad, Thai bites and wings. Everything was amazing, wings weren't anything special but everything else was. Our server was amazing, wait times were almost non existent. I'll definitely be returning next time I'm in the area as we are 3 hours away.

My husband and i went for dinner on sept 17, we both ordered the french onion soup it was barely lukewarm when brought to the table. The waitress took it back heated it in the microwave and returned it. The broth had a strong taste of vinegar. For an entree i ordered the hot turkey sandwich which the menu stated was all white meat, it was not over half of the meat was dark with skin and fat. My husband order the chicken parmsean, which wasn't bad other than the chicken had a taste of fish: fried in the same oil? Would not go back again!

The food here is prepared with love and honesty, it has the delicious taste of homemade comfort, the deserts are amazing too, the service was very friendly and personal, the atmosphere cozy. This place needs a serious restaurant intervention. This place is not very clean and is very tired looking. My French onion soup consisted of cheese and soggy bread with approximately 3 onions. The stir fry was drowned in a horrible sauce. We had a $150.00 bill for horrible food. The service was great tho, you could kind of tell the server knows the food isn't great since she never asked us how everything was even if my plate was loaded with soggy bread from the soup. Not many restaurants have good reviews in this town so it was a gamble either way. You need low standards for this place. No thanks!

I recently took my parents to Anthony's for dinner. The location is very nice and the food was delicious, however we had an issue with the service. The staff were very pleasant and took our drink and food orders quickly but then we waited over half an hour for our meal. Our glasses were empty but nobody asked us if we would like another drink .A gentleman who was seated out on the patio had to come in to find a staff member to order another round of drinks for his table. When our food finally arrived, my father received the wrong meal. There was nobody around so being elderly and not wishing to cause trouble, he began his meal, which he enjoyed very much. About 5 minutes later a waitress came over and wanted to take his food away from him and give him the correct dinner but he was already about a quarter of the was through it and did not wish to change. She was quite annoyed. When we had finished, she came and took our dishes but again we were not asked if we would like more drinks, dessert or coffee, so I eventually caught her attention and asked for the bill. We all enjoyed our food very much but we would not go back. Their service left a lot to be desired and there are too many other restaurants in the area with better staff.

Just had lunch at this restaurant I had the “veggie stir fry on a bed of rice” what came to the table was a bowl of mushy zucchini and what seemed like a large carrot, that was so under cooked I could hardly bite through it.there were two thin strips of red pepper and two of equal thinness of green pepper, along with a few thin onions. The rice seemed like it was left over from last night and there was only about two tablespoons. It really was very dissatisfying and unappetizing to behold.Server was good, beer was cold

Stopped by for lunch on a road trip. Had the soup and sandwich deal. While the service was stellar, the food was underwhelming - slapped together, underseasoned and bland. The soup was all right but the sandwich was sad. Store bought basic bread, with a few pieces of turkey, a leaf of lettuce and slice of processed cheese. Really very little thought or effort went in to this meal, and it showed. Wouldn't return.

Great little family run restaurant that we discovered by accident a few years ago. Friendly staff with prompt service keep us coming back. Fairly standard fare on the menu with some great entrees after 5pm. The desserts are amazing. Great portion sizing. At first glance the place isn't much to look at but it has a charm that quickly grows on you and I have always found the place is clean. Well worth the drive from Kingston.

Washroom was clean, but smallish and the can had been stunned (obviously not their fault, and they went to address it as soon as I let them know). Patio looked nice, although not too big- there was a largish group out there, so we opted to stay in the A/C. Spinach dip was decadent, I recommend it, prime rib was fine, veggies were unexpectedly zingy but tasty, salad was fresh. Very nice setting in the heart of picturesque Gananoque, walking distance to the 1000 Islands harbour, across the street from a beautiful pond with swans, minutes from the 401. 20mins east of Kingston along hwy 2, and worth the visit, I'd say.

They have beef liver that melts in your mouth. Smothered in onions and strips of bacon and gravy. That makes my mouth water just thinking about it. You could have baked, mashed potatoes or fries. I had mashed potatoes that were perfect, creamy but not to creamy. The vegetables were a blend of zucchini, carrots, peppers and other vegetables all grilled to perfection. I donot eat very many vegetables, but these are so good I ate them before the liver and potatoes. EXCELLENT!!

We had a great experience at Anthony's last week. As a group of 19 people (4 families) we showed up at 6pm on a Wednesday evening and were welcomed with open arms. Our server was incredible as she managed serving the entire patio on her own and the food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We'd love to come back!

Found this place as the rain was coming down after a boat cruise. Service and food were excellent, we had a beef burger and a fish burger, service was fast and food delicious. Would recommend this spot definitely!

Breakfast was terrible. Potatoes tasted like they were fried in last century’s oil, sausage was such a bad quality it felt like a mouthful of fat.

The cook doesn't understand the menu or instructions. Their menu states that the Western omelette consists of ham, onion, cheddar cheese...why is there red and green pepper in it? Two of us asked for "dry toast" and it came saturated in butter. Home-fries were flavourless and cold. On the positive side the service was fast and friendly, which made for a quick ending to this dining experience.

Excellent meals. Salmon and shrimp with fresh grilled vegetables, prime rib with all the fixings.Excellent service. Reasonable price considering the quality of the meal. Will satisfy even the picky members of your family.
