First time to this restaurant. Went there because of good reviews. The food was good. I had the seafood fettuccini as my main course. Lots of seafood: shrimps, scallops, lobsters. However, the service was so so for an upscale place. Service was actually bad. But given that the restaurant was full with only 2 waitress. I rate it as so so (2 stars) instead of bad. For the price that I am paying, I would expect much better services.

The seafood fettucine is to die for. It has so much seafood and so many kinds of seafood. I would say it's pretty much half pasta, half seafood. Absolutely worth the price. Sustainably sourced seafood and they grow their own microgreens in the kitchen. The carrot cake was so big and so rich. The best carrot cake I have ever had in my life. I had Queen's Nectar, mead, which fermented honey. The best alcoholic beverage in my opinion. We also had calamari to share and the sauce was absolutely delicious. Excellent atmosphere, excellent service, excellent food. I would travel to Fredericton again just for this restaurant! *edit: it's been a year and I have visited four more times since. I make sure to visit every time I pass through Fredericton! And it is just as delicious as always!

We made reservations for 7:30pm and literally 5 minutes before our reservation, we received a call saying the reservation was canceled and the restaurant was closing. We were not given an explanation and had already left the hotel for the restaurant. It was a huge inconvenience, especially given that it's Friday night.

I went there last June. I took the seafood risotto and I'm now dreaming of eating it again. Service was well and fast. Big portions. The only thing I was a little bit disapointed is that some plates contain a lot of frying, but it was still good. Prices were worth it.

Amazing seafood in a nicely-appointed, comfortable and cozy restaurant. On the local First Nation reservation, run by the band and employing band members. Everyone in our party of 8 agreed it was some of the best seafood they ever had.

Definitely a must go in Fredericton. I had sesame seared tuna for dinner. The fish was excellent and the salad too. My portion was much bigger than I had expected. There's a lot of choices on the menu even for people who don't necessarily like sea food, but it's certainly their specialty. The prices are a bit higher then other restaurants but you get what you pay for. I totally recommend this place! The staff was really nice.

Wish I could give this place a 6/5! Had the Seafood risotto and OMG it was delicious. Dessert was a brownie and the presentation was gorgeous. It tasted great as well. The prices are a little steep but very much worth it for the taste and portion size. Katrina our server was friendly and made fantastic recommendations. Would definitely go there again when I am in Fredericton.

We shared a plate of calamari, it tasted very fresh and cooked perfectly. The food tasted good in general, just a little disappointed with my seafood risotto which was "liquidy'. The cream and butter was not well stir in. However the flavors were delicious.

Whether you are visiting, or living in Fredericton and area, this is a must stop. Terrific staff, impeccable service, and large portions cooked perfectly. As two visitors from Alberta, this was an amazing experience. Although somewhat pricey, the same 2 dinners my husband and I had would have probably been double the price back home : amazing bannock, the best calamari appies we've ever had, and seafood chowder loaded with seafood to start, lobster-stuffed haddock (me) and whole clams (Dave) (not strips, like at home) for dinner. And the creme brulee is to die for! They are also very allergy-friendly, as everything is scratch-made.

I had the seafood chowder as a started and seafood Fettuccini for my main. Both dishes were full of delicious flavours and had a good balance of ingredients.

I like it very much. But a situation happened made me uncomfortable while I am eating, at the beginning I told the waiter that I don't eat any kind of chicken or meat even pork also any food containing alcohol. Upon arrival hostess was on a cellphone and it appeared to be what sounded like a personal call. She did not acknowledge us as customers thr call was approximately five minutes. When her call was completed, she then went to speak to another colleague for a couple minutes they laughed and joked before she returned. Once she returned she did not say hello or welcome simply do you have a booking. Which we said we did not as we were just traveling through. She then said we are full, you need to book and walked away. First impression is important as to whether customers return and unfortunately often negative views can often spread faster then positive.

I truthfully enjoyed this restaurant, I would give it a 6 stars if I could. I had the halibut stuffed with lobster (1st picture) which was delightful. But the highlight of the meal was the SEAFOOD RISOTTO (2nd picture) that my wife had - AMAZING! I recommend the risotto a million times! Probably the best thing I have tasted this year. The servers were all smile and very accommodating. You’re probably best reserving in advance, very busy place.

Though it’s not much of a looker/property on the outside, this is where the “lower” quality stops. Nice inside, charming/ clean. Friendly staff. Every time I’ve gone for supper they’ve been pretty busy. They have really great food. It’s flavorful, fair sized portions, and gourmet. The only thing I wish they had was a standard fish and chips for the supper menu, they do have a variation but it’s elevated. I guess I can’t be mad that a restaurant has a better quality version of what I want (it’s just that that version costs more and sometimes you just want their standard fish and chips). Moving on, you also get a free slice of chocolate cake if you dine there on your birthday. Their cakes are delicious too. My goodness their food is good.

An excellent restaurant in my childhood neighborhood. Beautiful inside ... built on the site of the original Maliseet Indians . Wolastoq is Maliseet for river-- referring of course to the nearby St. John River. The food was exquisite --- had "salmon in honey".

Great local spot for seafood. Prices are a bit high for me for dinner but if you come during lunch you can get a 2-pc fish & chips for $16, or lobster roll and chips for $20. It's great for special occasions. The lobster roll is really good, lots of huge chunks of lobster on a delicious bun. Fish and chips are really good too, great batter!

Have no review on the food as we were denied entry more than hour before the posted closing time as a lady server came to the door as we were walking in to tell us that they are closed and proceeded to close the blinds. There were clearly still customers there eating from the glimpse I had. If they close at 8 then why not post that? Even if they choose to close the kitchen an hour before the posted closing time, again why not only post the times when they are willing to serve customers? As tourists coming from Toronto Ontario, The previous reviews were what drew us to visit and try the "amazing" food but the lack of customer focus and care not only made us regret visiting fredericton but also leave this review. I found it incredibly insulting that the server needed to reinforce her statement by closing the blinds abruptly and going back inside without even inviting us to come back tomorrow making us feel very unwelcomed nor like we deserve to dine in the restaurant by shutting us out. so just like the food we never got, so is the rating we are giving and if I could give it a negative rating I would which is how that server handled that experience.

We've been wanting to try this restaurant, for quite a while now. During our last date night, the wife and I, finally had the opportunity, and we were not disappointed. I was impressed at the atmosphere coming in, especially during Covid times. It's a small area, but done very well. I was also very impressed with my starter, it was very good. Entreé didn't disappoint, it was presented very nice, and tasted even better. My choice of dessert was the first thing the waitress mentioned, and of course, didn't disappoint. My wife and I were very impressed, and will be back. Highly recommend. On a side note, the only reason I'm not giving it 5 star, is because a piece of bread, was sitting beside the front desk, on the floor, the entire time. Other than that minor thing, everything lived up to expectations.

My parents treated me to dinner here while I am home for the holidays and we had an absolutely wonderful meal. Highly recommend the maple curry mussels and my mango chutney salmon was the best salmon I can remember enjoying in a long time. Loved the seafood Risotto...went back again started with the Calamari. Things didn't go well. There was black hair in the first order. Waitress kindly took it back and brought out another order. The was black hair in that one as well. That was sent back. Waitress did feel bad comped the drinks. We left. Thought we would try again. Made reservations as always. Are table was not ready till 45 min. after our reservation. We were just seated and waitress informed us we needed to order drinks, apps and main right away as they were closing. So we left and went to the Snooty Fox. 1st time was great. Not since for us. It's a shame. Hope they pull up there socks and cover there heads.

My wife and were looking for a seafood restauran in Fredericton area. Wolastoq Wharf came up with our web search and we decided to drive in there. Very nice, clean restaurant. The lobster was cooked to perfection and delicious. The battered whole clams were tender. The servers were polite and attentive. The price was reasonable. We did not have room for dessert because the portions were large. I highly recommend Wolastoq wharf for seafood lovers.

When we asked about their soup of the day, the waiter explained it was merely a broccoli cheese soup, and that he had tried it earlier, and that it was NOT worth trying. A mercy, in my opinion, as it showed us what to expect from the rest of the evening. The bread they brought out as part of appetizers was dense and almost soggy, with a very bad molasses. The fish tacos had a donair-style sauce that DID NOT belong near fish, and they had mentioned fries coming with it, which did not. They didn't bother to ask if it was still okay with out the fries, and arrived with the somewhat burnt tacos. The lobster Mac and cheese was okay, but the lobster was more chewy than expected, with a very bland Mac. They should add some padding to their walls - we could hear them slamming around in the back the entire time. This and their loud rendition of Happy Birthday out of nowhere took us out of any sort of ambience their dollar store battery operated tea light could provide. I should've honestly just gone to the freezer section at Walmart, I likely could've found higher quality lobster. The owners are out of touch - I've seen on other reviews how they took scathing reviews as serious, and wholeheartedly welcomed people back. A disgrace, with poor seafood for a ocean province. If only I could take cues from another person in my party, and throw up in their parking lot. It couldn't have tasted any worse on the way back up, at least.

The food was cooked to absolute perfection! I have been to other high end restaurants in the area but this was by far the best. The meal was filling and flavourful. The average price of a dish is 26$ and worth every penny. I had the speciality soup as an appetizer and it was full of flavour, so good. For the main course I had the maple glazed salmon and even the potatoes that came with it were delicious.

This restaurant is small in size, but what it lacks in that area it makes up for in food quality. This fine dining seafood establishment is nice inside and tables are well set. The service was good and the food was excellently prepared and presented. The price is to the high side of the scale and with that being said, at that price point, one would expect to be situated in a fine dining restaurant with perhaps a more private and elegantly decorated atmosphere, rather than simply an open area with the tables all within eyesight of one another. So how did we base our review? It goes as follows. Seriously? I don't know what all the hubbub is about. We went there at 4:45pm one night and they asked if we had a reservation. Why no. Why would we? We're from out of town and this is a remodeled taco bell or something... We looked around and the place was EMPTY except one other couple. They said "Wellllllllllll.... we'll try to squeeze you in." As if they were doing us a favor for letting us into their oh-so-special restaurant. Whatever. Evidently their being rated "top" on TripAdvisor has gone to their heads, as it really isn't anything special. I had chicken with risotto. Chef Ramsey from Hell's Kitchen would NOT have let this risotto through the pass. It had pretty good flavor, but was very mushy, almost inedible. I guess if you don't know what good risotto is supposed to taste like, you may not mind the gummy consistency. The chicken on top of the massive pile of risotto (I mean, seriously, it was like 2 pounds of the stuff!) was very nicely prepared. It had great flavor and I wished I'd had more of it! Also, there were a couple of sprigs of asparagus - also well-prepared. Others have mentioned free bread as a starter. We DID receive some, but it wasn't anything to write home about. We would've asked for more, as it took them 25 minutes to cook our two entrees (I believe they went out back to wring the neck and pluck the chicken), but as we were already "intruding" on their empty dining room, we knew better than to overstay our "welcome". Likewise, we opted out of dessert for the same reason. We noticed as we left at 6:15, that only one other couple had arrived with a reservation. So, not sure why such a big deal when we arrived at 4:45pm. As we were from out of town, we obviously won't be returning. However, even if we lived there, we wouldn't go back. We did not feel welcomed and we didn't think the food price was worth what it was. That being said, maybe this place gets top ratings because people don't know any better? Maybe there aren't any other good restaurants in the area competing? Not sure, but if you put this restaurant up against a similarly priced meal in say, NYC, LA or Dallas, this would pale in comparison.

Me and my spouse moved to Fredericton a while back and have been meaning to come here because of the great reviews. I’m not a fan of seafood but my spouse lives and breaths it so I trust her opinion. The building looks misleading on the outside but it’s actually rather inviting and has a nice atmosphere on the inside. The owners should really update their sign and the outside to match the inside. The food was good, but not great. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the food but it wasn’t out of this world like the reviews advertised. The presentation was fancy and the price matched it. I find it odd and a little sad that this is supposed to be the best seafood place in Fredericton. We originally lived in a costal city and where were from, restaurants like this are just the norm. Anybody who finds this place amazing, I challenge you to take a short drive to St.Andrews by the Sea and visit the Seasons by the sea restaurant. The seafood there will knock your socks off.

It's been too long since we went here and I can't wait to go back. This is by far the best seafood I've ever had anywhere in the world. Great service, good wine selection, nice dining room. Few years ago this was an exceptional local restaurant. Today it is unrecognizable. It was off to the bad start from a word "go" when we were seated in front of a pepper and salt shaker smeared with fat from previous diner and then we were served gone-off fizzy oj that smelled bad from a distance. It was removed unceremoniuosly when we pointed that out, but no replacement was offered, not even water. Food was disgusting: clams (sauteed)-cold and chewy and deep fried ones-tasteless, chewy with a yucky bland batter. Seafood nachos-total mistake and confusion on a plate and haddock bites bland and watery, fries also no different in flavor or texture to the haddock. Plate decoration was trying to be posh and poncy but looked more like a medical laboratory sample smear on a plate. Our scalops in bacon and caesar salad were not the worst, but truthfully: its hard to spoil those two dishes anyway. Our complaint was handled borderline to poorly. The server we complained to, disappeared both times: after drink and then with food, whilst the other server did all apologizing and damage control. Really felt for the girl as she was very apologetic and Sweet, but in truth the chef that needed to apologise for this fiasco and not her. Although fairly-we didn't pay for all that garbage food it left us totally apaled as to how a restaurant can fall asleep on their laurels and loose quality so grandly....

We were passing through Fredericton on the way further east and got recommendations for Wolastoq from three separate people in town. So we went there for lunch. And Wolastoq delivered. The food's delicious and the service is beyond reproach. The menu had good variety. On the server's suggestion, I had the Seafood Fettuccini which I thoroughly enjoyed. The rest of the table had the Lobster Roll, Fish and Chips, and the Lobster Mac and Cheese. We shared calamari as an appetizer; and shared blueberry creme brulee and chocolate fudge brownie with vanilla ice cream for desert. Everyone enjoyed everything, basically. The cherry on top is the friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable service that Katrina, our server, provided. She was superb in making sure we had a good experience. Worth checking out when you're in Fredericton!
