You can never go wrong with a naanwich! The sweet potato waffle cut fries are delicious but very decadently smothered in garlic butter. Love their food truck, but they sold out fast at the Fredericton night market so get there early to guarantee you get some.

Every time I think that the best steak I've eaten in Fredericton is from a restaurant famous for their vegan and vegetarian options it makes me laugh but here it is. I went for a healthy vegan lunch and left in heaven, once I saw their steak was locally sourced, I had to order it. Thank God I did, for a Latin carnivore this is as good as it gets... flavour in the meat...actual meat...was complemented artfully with delicate spices and the sauce...oh lord the sauce ..it was heavenly and honoring a good French tradition served on top of fries. Needless to say, I went back to work very full and sleepy but with a huge smile.

Had a great experience at monks & Jonesie. Lots to choose from the menu with plenty of options for your taste and dietary needs. Split the Brussel sprouts they were very tasty. Liked the nuts. I had the spicy Hawaiian chicken Naanwiches. The sweet potato cross fries were delicious. My partner had the Korean bbq bowel. It could use more flavour but add some salf and was good. Portions were large and priced fairly. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Visited Monday evening with friends, bout an hour before close, but the service and quality was perfect even after expecting a little drop off due to time of night on a holiday. While I only got a main, I did get to try both the deep fried pickles and pulled duck spring rolls that friends had gotten. The pickles were great, and I'm not normally a pickle super fan, but my goodness the spring rolls were phenomenal and I'd definitely recommend them and get them myself, particularly with the extra zing from the sauce dip. Then our mains came and my chicken club on a bun was superb. Two separate pieces of chicken breast meat, a lovely piece or two of peameal bacon, and the normal toppings and aioli all came together phenomenally well in my mouth. For the side I'd ordered the buffalo fries with no expectation but an experience, and got this perfect shoestring fries coated in a lovely seasoning with flavour but no heat, and I could not get enough. I'm not from the immediate area, being from Saint John, but I would strongly recommend and hope to make it back soon.

Ordered the pulled duck Naanwich. Probably one of the best meals I've had on Naan bread. The duck was tender and full of flavour. I hightly recommend the sweet potato fries as your side. Looking forward to my next visit.

Everything is great. It's unique, delicious, and fresh. There is something for everyone. My only wish is that they had one of those portable Square devices that allowed for credit card payment at the truck. You can use the app to order and pay by credit card, but not if you want the feature. But specific to the food, I highly recommend.

I think I've met the owner too, he's just a wonderful, friendly guy, great business! Someday, I will get there and try the food.

Pub extraordinaire, Monks & Jonesie is pub fair at its best. Some of the best fries I've ever had whether it be their waffle fries their buffalo fries or their regular fries. They're always adding extra flavor and creating exciting combinations. Loved this place as a food truck, love it even more as a brick and mortar. The only thing I dislike is that I live on the opposite side of town.

Ordered take out on Friday and we had the best experience! Easy to order, the drive up window makes it easy to take out and the FOOD WAS UNREAL! Everything we ordered was unbelievable. This place is a new must-do for us, take out OR dine in. We had the MOJO Dip (definitely our top fav dish), the sweet potato fries are to die for, and we also had Mac and cheese bites and the BRISKET POUTINE. I'm telling you, everything we tried was flavourful, delicious and worth every penny. Don't skip this place! It's worth it!!!

Just roll me out! A variety of not so typical pub fare of donairs, shawarmas, various styles of nachos, and other interesting sounding meals. I had chicken and waffles for dinner and it was anything but breakfast food. I had to force myself to stop eating before I burst. The staff was friendly and the chef came out to discuss my dietary needs to help him accommodate me better (allergies). I would recommend going here to anyone.

This place is a hidden gem. They are located inside a gas station and carwash but don't let that deter you. The food is quite diverse and fairly unique from the standard menu offered in Fredericton. They also have a mobile food truck.

My wife and I stopped by this afternoon for lunch. This restaurant is located beside the Irving, and is certainly easy to miss. This was our first visit and would certainly come back. We started with a Saturday special - $7 nachos. Amazing deal and tasted great. I had the M&J Club on a bun, while my wife had the Chicken Shawarma. My wife really enjoyed her meal, and was very filling - lots of chicken. My club was very tasty as well. The fries were also very good, although I wasn't a big fan of the Buffalo fries (tasted good but shoe string). The Salt'n'Vinegar fries my wife had were great - perfectly crisp. They are salty. Now the dessert - peanut butter pie. This caught me way off guard for pub fare. Great presentation and was delicious. Seriously save room - great share plate. We'll be back. Thanks.

This is easily one of the top 5 best restaurants in Fredericton. A true hidden jem. The pub style food is out of this world good. They have the best fries of any restaurant I’ve ever had. Shoestring, buffalo spiced and crispy to perfection. And their mains and appetizers are amazing. I love how you can customize some of the meals to be either a sandwich or a rice bowl or a poutine and so on. It’s ingenious! I’ve been to their restaurant and food truck several times and it’s always consistently great. Great service. Their restaurant is small inside but very nice. I love the canoe! 10/10!

This is one of the most consistent restaurants in town! I've always had a great experience. We tried their Chicago Deep Dish Pizza that is only served on Friday's and it is to die for! They need to serve it 7 days a week..... Amazing!

This is my fourth time eating here and the service was once again top notch, great atmosphere, friendly staff and a great menu. I'm usually ordering the Nate dog or a Donair but today opted for the Greek plate all three were very Delicious but Greek plate was my least favorite, rice was plain I'm used to a flavoured oil on rice with Greek plates and the vinaigrette on the salad tasted like pure white vinegar the chicken, hummus and Tzatziki sauce were great. Keep up the good work!

Muggsies? Moxies? Mugsin? Mugs and Jones'? Oh, right Monks and Jonesie. Right beside the Irving there on Bishop drive. Nestled between the car wash and the couche tard. A nice joint for a quick bite but boys was it ever cool inside. I seen folks with their coats on in there. Brrr. After the sit down and order lunch came soon enough. A rice bowl with edamame, shaved carrots, pickled red onions, and pan-fried pork belly. Each ingredient quite a taste on its own. But together? Raucous! That dish couldnt pick a lane. It was like corduroy with a pair of denim. Not my style. Not my price tag, either. T'was a bit dear for what it was, so when done was done, I was left wondering where I'd gone wrong. Wrong day? Wrong order? Wrong name?

After having enjoyed more than a handful of meals from the food truck over the course of last summer, I was very excited to sit down and finally try something in-house. I brought my two-year-old and his dad. They did have a (somewhat expensive) kid's menu, but no booster chairs -- only high chairs. The location was beautiful and clean, though maybe a little bit out of the way for some. I ordered a cocktail for myself to start--which I didn't really enjoy. The drink tasted quite average, and there was a distinct lack of healthy options for adults and kids alike. (I probably should've anticipated that much, in retrospect)! My son got a "Tater Tot Poutine," which, at $10, I felt was grossly overpriced for a small serving of deep-fried tater tots, a few cheese curds and some gravy. His father and I shared a big plate of Greek Nachos, which we both enjoyed. The pita chips were perfectly fried and well seasoned but could've used more cheese. I also requested chicken for $4, and while I wish there was a little more of it for the added price, it was still a satisfying meal. The toppings did, however, pool to the center, which made some parts of the nachos much saltier and less palatable. The tzatziki sauce was creamy and garlicky though--something my partner and I liked very much. The service itself was mediocre, while the wait time was acceptable. We did note that the music was a little bit loud -- but given where we were seated (directly underneath one of the speakers, our choice), we didn't overthink it. Overall, I would recommend that M&J review their in-house offerings, as virtually everything on the menu is fried (keeping in mind that anything you can get from the truck, you can get inside). If you like that, definitely give this place a shot. Otherwise, I cannot honestly recommend it as much as I would like to. I'm sure I will go on to enjoy a treat from the truck here and there, but I most likely won't return to the brick and mortar restaurant itself any time soon.

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. My husband ordered chilli and it was awesome. Although the Kimchi rice bowl I ordered wasn’t great. Kimchi was tasty but the rice wasn’t fully cooked and chicken balls were bland and dry. I definitely would go back but wouldn’t have kimchi rice bowl again.
