Great food and atmosphire definitely will be back !
Excellent, locally inspired and infused cuisine!
I really liked this place the 10x I've been. Salads are great and some of the food is great. Not a fan of that smashed potato they've got tbh. Staff have been good or great. No complaints.
Good food and friendly staff.
Good, fresh local ingredients. Wish the choices were a bit more extensive but always pretty tasty. I do love the yam fries here. Great vibe inside too and the outside deck eating area is awesome in the summer.
I loved the environment of the restaurant with a very friendly wait staff. The food is good :)
Food is great and service was great. We were there close to closing but you would have never known.
Came for lunch. Food was good and the service was great. Love the old building and the art gallery!
Pretty darn good. Really kind service, beautiful artwork, tasty chorizo burger. Lovely atmosphere.
Dine in
Great atmosphere and the eggs Bennie is on Point.
Fantastic selection of different dishes and drinks, lots of vegan and gluten free options too.
Good option, salad is very well served
Unbelievably good. I had the most delicious vegetable soup I have ever tasted. The deceptively simple almond salad was light yet packed with flavour. The lady had the fish and chips. The haddock and fries was the best version of fish and chips that she ever had. To finish we shared the caramel bread pudding. We ate every morcel. When they state in the menu that everything is from scratch, believe it. We cannot recall enjoying a meal as much as we did today. After we akake from our food coma, we will return! ;)
My Dutch friend told me to go here so we did . Very nice staff and the food was good. But still I miss the variety of food that we have in Holland like in the winter we have winter stews. But I live in Canada so I have to make my stews at home. Nice place to be . And you can tell it's ok there we couldn't make a reservation but we have to come in and see . We wait for about 25 minutes for a table together with two other couple. During the waiting time i try two differnt beers so the waiting time flew by before i noticed. Lol.
Went to Issac's way last night, on a Sunday, with my husband. The service was so slow, it took ten minutes before someone came to get our drink orders. We sat down before a reservation of six, but got served after them, which is why it took so long to get out drinks. I ordered the tofu peanut bowl. I asked for no onions, but it came with a handful of green onions on top. I just picked them off, because I didn't want to make a big fuss. She asked how everything was before we took a bite, and then when I realized it was cold, I couldn't find her until the meal was done. She came over and realized that they had put green onions on the bowl, but never did anything to compensate for the mistake or ask how the actual meal was. Overall, very disappointing. I usually like Issac's way, especially because they offer vegan options, but it will be hard to return anytime soon given the service and food standard.
Great food and the art is beautiful to look at.
Great, tasty, wholesome food. Got right in and food was served fast and hot. Carrot cake was awesome. Definitely worth visiting!
Garbage food. Disgusting. Cooks are awfull. Service sucked. Paid over 100. McDonald's for 10 bucks would hav put this place to shame.
Simply excellent. Terrific service, delicious meals, tasty ingredients, unique dishes, and mouthwatering desserts. I highly recommend.
Really lovely, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and DELICIOUS food. We got the ribs and the philly sandwich, and we'd highly recommend both!
The Lamb burger was really great!
Lunch
With a smaller menu that focuses on the quality of what is offered, I feel compelled to try something different every visit. Though I find myself enjoying the items on the lunch menu more than the supper menu. Quantity and price point of the food meet a satisfiying balance.
Great selection of local beverages. Their Haddock burger was really good. And the service was quick. It was quite an enjoyable place to eat.
Great food, reasonable prices, and we didn't have to wait too long for our food
Great menu, friendly staff, good food.
Good service, great people... good food. Love the atmosphere and the great views from the terrance. Nice breakfast choices and great location. Wheelchair accessible on the side. Washrooms on the main level. So no issues with mobility. Historical building, used to be the courthouse.
Was very delicious!highly recommend. Went for lunch had fish and chips was great! Wonderful service the waitress was super kind and helpful.
Very pleasant. Good food and friendly staff.
Enjoy the view, delicious food and lovely service. Loved it!
Ate here twice and the fish cakes a great. The potato wedges are dry but the dulce fries are perfect. Lobster roll was good but had a bit of connective tissue included which wasn’t the best texture experience.
The first time I went there, it was the best restaurant in New Brunswick. It was a Saturday evening, the place was packed and service was great. Today, a colleague and I left the place after almost 10 minutes of being ignored by two servers. There were several empty tables, although many patrons were eating lunch. It was very disappointing. I'm not sure if I'd go back there.
Got the Southwest Eggs Benedict and it was so good and fresh!
great good nice atmosphere and can sit outside
Love the atmosphere with all the local art, and the service is always great. The chorizo sausage is maybe the best I've ever had.
lovely seafood chowder , scallop fritters and fish cakes for lunch. Found the salmon serving for dinner small...didnt fill us up
Weird menus good food
Delicious food and lots of vegan options! Would definitely recommend
It was lovely. The waitress for our table was a warm and really sincere person. The Steak so tender..our Clams were delicious with a light crispy batter. Beautiful presentation. We will definately be returning!
Uniquely delicious menu choices, great service and food was served relatively quick.
Great food, service and atmosphere!
Love the jazzy music and the food is wonderful. Gluten free stomach thanks you.
This was our 2nd time here. The first was so great that we came for Vday. Unfortunately it wasn't the same. The service was rushed. We sat for our reservation on time, only to be greeted then dismissed to go to the kitchen without taking a drink order. The first thing we ordered was not available (apparently for months according to the server) yet, still on the menu. Following that 3 other menu items we were asking for was out of stock that evening. They were not educated on the NB liquor laws. The food was cold. It was a nice touch to hand out freshly grown potted plants for a Vday treat though.
Service
great venue. food was ok. smoked tofu delicious, but the accompanying pasta obviously reheated. no one was asked if we wanted drinks. meh
Went with my girlfriend at 6:30 on a Saturday night, we had a reservation and probably would have waited a while without one. The atmosphere is great, they have works of art hanging all around the restaurant of all types. They apparently have a silent auction for all the art. We shared two different burgers and a few different sides. I honestly have to say that they were some of the best burgers I've had in my life. In particular the Sweet and Spicy Chorizo burger was amazing. Other plates I saw through the restaurant looked great as well. Will hopefully be back soon!
Great service, great food and decent price. Had the chicken carbonara and it was very good, portion size was also good. Good craft beer selection as well.
Very friendly staff. Great food. Highly recommended.
Wonderful cozy place. Friendly staff. Great artistic ambiance with paintings from different artists ! Great food, I had the squash Wellington, veg but can be made vegan. It was delicious. My boyfriend took the salmon and he was very pleased.
Love the atmosphere and the staff are always friendly. Oh, and great food :).
Fantastic food, service and environment. Currently lamenting the consumption of most of my chicken carbonara and joyously indulging in the rest. Could not recommend more
Great casual eatery. Interesting menu and friendly staff. They make everything in-house, which is a nice change from so many restaurants today. More importantly, it's tasty.
We start with one salad (vegetable, goat cheese, 2 little piece of bread) and one curry soup and was excellent for 10$. And after for 15$ + 2$ for sweet potatoes fries my friend choice the pulled chicken club house and was just a Burger with a little piece of maple bacon jam, chicken and vegetable: was disappointed. I choice the Haddock and chips and was a good fish and chips, 3 pieces with fries/salad for 19$. The sauce is really good, tasty. The place is nice and the service is good. 60$ with tax and tips.
The quality and quantity was great. The service was great, but the restaurant was fairly chilly, and they said the temperature cant be adjusted
Great local food and creations. Warm atmosphere and creatively decorated.
Remembered this restaurant from a year ago, passing through Fredericton. Delicious food, great service. Came again today, and it still stands out as memorable.
Probably the best breakfast I've ever had. Coffee was amazing, service was impeccable, and atmosphere was wonderful. I would eat breakfast here everyday if I didn't live an hour away!
Great vegan options. Their brunch was delish!
Slow service. Brunch just ok. I've had better here in the past.
Dinner
What a wonderful experience! We had a large group (25ppl) and a 2 hour window to eat dinner. We were able to enjoy our drinks while waiting for the meal. Everything was timed perfectly, with our entire group receiving their plates within minutes of one another. The food is hearty, healthy, and full of fresh, local goodies. I would strongly recommend this restaurant, especially of you are trying to please many palettes.
Wonderful food. Good selection of local beer
This was my first time at Isaac's Way. I attended a surprise Anniversary party in a room at the back. The service was excellent. The staff were courteous, friendly and efficient. The food was superb. I had the haddock and chips, it was excellent. There were 20 of us so many different dishes ordered. Everyone loved their meal. Prices were reasonable. I will definitely go back again.
Really great food service was good the chorizo goat cheese burger was excellent one of the best burgers I've had in a while. My buddy's french toast was also really spectacular no one else on the table had any complaints. One issue they need to have malt vinegar.
Love good food and paintings. Best of both, First time there, but not the last.
Can always accommodate to allergies. Their food is always so tasteful and the staff is usually very kind.
Great place to meet up with friends for lunch.
Love everything I've tried here!
A true treasure of a find...My Angel is Vegan and me, well I am a meat lovers and this place was perfect for us. Great service and friendly smiles.
In some ways I have mixed feelings about this place. On the one hand, I would recommend it to anyone in Fredericton, because it's a really unique place, in a beautiful historic building with art (both good and not so good) all over the walls making it one of the more interesting locations here. There are also numerous vegetarian and vegan options, so that's good. However, the food itself is pretty average quality, so I don't recommend it on that basis. Don't let that deter you though - it's still worth checking out.
Isaac's Way has a nice atmosphere, good service and a nice selection on the menu. However, over many visits I have been disappointed by the quality of the food. Many menu items sound wonderful but the execution is average at best. I will not return again after my most recent visit where I found a large insect in my spinach salad. The server apologized multiple times, offered to bring me something else and did not charge me for the salad (although still charged me for my drink) but it was not enough to convince me to return, nor to recommend it to others.
Food was delicious, and service was great!
had the black bean veggie burger with a sweet potato fries. A guaranteed comfort. The place is also quite large so lots of room to sit. Our server Sarabeth was great. An awesome restaurant in an awesome spot!
I had samosas and the Squash Wellington. They were both absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere was nice and wait staff excellent as well.
Delicious, fresh and original. Great atmosphere.
Food And local beers are always great at this establishment . Always amazed with their inventive recipes and the fact that they use local ingredients in their dishes . Staff Is super friendly and helpful. The only thing they can do better is have a few more options for appetizers when it comes to vegan Food because they only have hummus and salad.... haha .Other than that I recommend them to anyone that wants to take there significant other out for a truly amazing time .
Food was great. Server was very nice and there was parking.
Amazing vegan food!! Definitely our new go-to place! Thanks for truly committing to some yummy food (smoked Gouda with chutney - OMG!, squash Wellington - dang!!, crunchy tofu burger - bah!!!!!)
Local EVERYTHING, GF and vegan as well if you’re looking.
Good food. Average service, interesting decor
Amazing food and dining experience!
Great service and fabulous food
Our last experience there was really anti-climatic. My wife and I had our first date at the old Isaac's Way, so we thought it would be nice to go for our anniversary. The menu is needlessly "trendy." We are both lovers of good food, but we just thumbed through the menu and we were let down by how every option sounded really unappealing.
I absolutely love this place! The service is top-notch and the meals are just phenomenal (not to mention 100% handmade and locally-sourced). It's great to be surrounded by so much beautiful art from local artists as well. I'm definitely going to be a regular here!
Good service. Not my kind of food but I'll try anything once.
Disappointed. Sirloin was about 1/4 inch thick. Ordered "medium" and got "well done".
Great spot, good food. Interesting decor.
Excellent service. Food is very good.
Meal type
A real disappointment. I've always given any restaurant some slack, even on iffy days. Today was just that, iffy, missing supplies, late and disjointed service, cold and flavourless food. Clearly understaffed on the floor and food was lackluster. I have always expected more from this restaurant, but this time out with a group that was meeting for lunch, it was a wash to be honest. I'll be back to see if it improves.
Good service food was ok
I do not recommend this restaurant due to below : 1- overpriced for what u get 2- so much noise ( no music on and u hear people voice and kitchen noise ) 3- limited seafood menu ( 5 items where 3 were sold out the time we arrived around 7 p.m !) 4- Me and my husband were so disappointed once we got our food which was low quality and small portion. 5- upon paying our bill I told waiters that my food just taste potato and did not get any taste of fish and she just smiled at me . I know she was not cooked that food but she could at least tell us sorry I will notify the chef !
Excellent service. Liked the menu and the fact on Saturdays & Sundays breakfast is served until 2 pm. Price is good.
Great meal, great service.
Great local favorite dining spot. Had the sesame chicken salad and it was great! Lots of local craft beers available too!
Our first visit to Isaac’s Way was a delightful treat and from the very outset, the experience was a pleasure. They were so understanding in changing our reservation time from 1:00pm to 2:00+pm to accommodate our Toronto visitors’ arrival time. (who knew something called Atlantic Time existed, eh?) and the staff delighted in participating in a good hearted razzing of our ‘Upper Canada’ friends’ tardiness. The staff were all friendly, polite and attended to all of our wants and needs, from the hostess who greeted us to our server who felt like family by the end of our somewhat extended reunion. The restaurant’s policy of supporting local businesses, produce and products was immediately a conversation point for our Toronto friends who are seldom able to witness the like and it is most definitely a great reason for us to visit again. The menu is a winner, the food prep and presentation is great with creative surprises to items one might take for granted. The pricing for the whole experience was a very, very pleasant surprise indeed for us, as it was our treat! All said, since I missed the breakfast and brunch menu items I did so look forward to enjoying, because of that fateful time change problem, Issac’s Way will be first stop on the list for our next visit to the big city.
Great waitress. Really nice staff. Really nice menu. Reasonable prices. Nice venue. We were on the patio and it was a nice day which helps.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good vegetarian selection. Food was good, overall. I was hopeful for scallops, but the only dishes that contained scallops (scallop fritters and a scallop and bacon pasta) didn't really compliment the scallops, or let the flavor come through, and required them to be cooked until rubbery. The vegetarian options that we tried were tasty, and prepared well. The lobster rolls are good, also.
Good service and seafood pasta!
Food is fabulous. Welcoming atmosphere.
Really great food and a cool atmosphere. Love all the artwork they show and how they regularly run auctions for local art charities.
We really enjoyed our evening. We went to Isaac's with a party of 8. We were put into a special room which I think may have been a vault at some point through history. It worked out perfect as we had fire children with us. The service was excellent and the food, amazing as usual. Thus if definitely one of my favorites to go to when I am in Fredericton!
Extremely friendly staff, brought my 8 month old and was treated with the utmost kindness. Bacon and artichoke dip is a MUST have appetizer!
Great lunch special -- the breakfast ham panini had a nice jalapeño kick, and the Caesar salad was delish. Great service, and I always love checking out the paintings (like this one, which I couldn't take my eyes off of for long).
Great food fantastic service. Loved the rooftop vibe
The food is good the it can be a little pricey.
Good food, good atmosphere and good friendly staff. The prices were a bit high I think... But it was a treat to go!
Just recently got a chance to visit their new location on Queen St. Even though we had a reservation, we still had to wait an additional 15-20minutes for our table. The food was great, and so was the atmosphere. Love all the different pieces of art they have up for silent auction as well. Highly recommend!
Nice restaurant/cafe. Very friendly efficient staff. Has an artsy feel with delicious food and a good wine selection including 2 New Brunswick wines from Magnetic Hill winery.
Food was decent, the room was bland, but nice to have the privacy. Our server was great, the food runners, only so so.
One of my favorite restaurants! Great menu selection. Lots of dishes to try! Excellent for gluten-free
Good meal. Nice selection of local beer.
Their vegan dishes are better than most.
Spectacular cuisine! really worth the two hour drive to try this place.
Dinner
Everytime I go to this place, I like it a little bit more. Tofu burger( summer special) and chorizo spring rolls are a must have. Really nice flavors. I was a bit disappointed with the beef burger,I had high hopes for it, hence 4 stars. People are lovely.
This was my first time here. I went with my friend who goes often simply for the fact that they support local producers. I found the history of the company and their goals on the first page of their menu which was nice. The food we ordered was delicious. The service was great. Conveniently located but not great parking options. Reasonably priced considering the portion sizes and the local sourcing. Would definitely recommend going here and will go back if I'm in the area again.
EXCELLENT vegetarian food, probably best in the city.
Usually busy. Good breakfast and lunch options. Pleasant ambiance.
Amazing artistic atmosphere and friendly professional staff. Amazing food for vegans and carnivores. Big supporters of local art, food, drinks and kid's charity! Check it out!
The food and service was superb. The decor is very pleasant. Our waitress made excellent suggestions and was attentive to us.
Charge 2$ extra for gluten free meals.
Stop searching!!! This restaurant is awesome!!! I do not rate anything usualy but this restaurant deserve to be mention. Great service, great decor, great ambiance and exelent food. They offer variety to please any palate. You HAVE to try.
Awesome place, I live the art as well.
My only complaint? The food couldn't get into my stupid face fast enough... Haha Really though, can't say anything bad about my experience. With a belly full of mead at the end of it I was pleasently stuffed. Good job Isaac's Way! ????
The maple chicken didn’t taste like maple at all and the chocolate cake tasted like it came from a box.
Very high quality food at good prices.
Delicious food, cozy atmosphere. Loved all of the local art. Excellent service! Lots of vegan options as well. Highly recommended!
Delicious food!! And a nice atmosphere although can be pricey.
I wanted to like this place. And overall it was good. They stick to the unassuming, farm to table vibe. However the food just wasn't that impressive. I will say the curry squash soup was incredible but everything else tasted a bit bland. The vibe around the place is cool though, I'd say come by for that and the desserts
Meal type
Food and service ok but nothing spectacular
One of the best places to get breakfast, for me. Always friendly staff, and I love the art auctions they have.
Always have a great meal eating here.
Great hidden gem. Cool paintings, and huge servings with friendly staff. A must visit in Fredericton.
Best chocolate cake in town! Food is very good too
Our servers were wonderful. Food came a little slow but over all not bad. I would rather wait for food than have bad servers.
Delicious local fare and a relaxing jazzy atmosphere. The food will never disappoint and the art work adds a beautiful flare. Sit on the patio during the summer and enjoy the fish cakes, chorizo burger, or the samosas!
Service was good. Menu well appointed. Seafood and salad were very good. And best of all prices were reasonable. Well located. Went for lunch.
Priciest lunch we had in a 4 day trip, very average food.
This is a really great restaurant in I really can't wait to go back again meet my college had such a great time this place is awesome the food is great it's fresh it's well prepared chef really takes pride money does on this is an excellent location for anybody looking for a really good meal elegance romanticos everything you could ever ask for in a beautiful restaurant and I'm really appreciate all the services that use guys have the halfer we had such a great time so I have the recommend if anybody looking for a good time or just wanna relax or doesn't matter what the occasion is this is great spot to go to in the sky stuff we deserve 5 star rating review thanks so much for everything guys meet my colleagues hope the return and see you guys again real soon you spend the best of service said we've ever variance 101 of these places so hope to see you soon then good luck with everything in the new year
Great spot to eat and in a really good location downtown.
What a great restaurant, really good food & lots of vegan or vegetarian options. Some great craft beer & mead (honey based wine) rounds out a fun lively menu. It has quickly become my favorite in Fredericton.
The steak was very tasty.
This is easily my favourite place to eat in Fredericton. The food is tasty and reasonably priced, and usually incorporates some flavours that aren't quite run-of-the-mill family restaurant fare. The decor is quiet and jazzy, and the service has been consistently good.
Always great service and quality food. Never disappoints.
Great spot. Friendly staff. Good food.
Great fresh, food with awesome service.
I always love going to Isaac's way because their menu is always creative and like nothing else in the city! The local art on the walls is so beautiful and also always changing!
Never disappointed when I visit there. I'm glad that the seafood chowder is back. So good!
W O W. I dont know if its because I've been on the road for the past 3 days or what but this food changed my life I swear. Both dishes we ordered were just absolutely fabulous! The Squash Wellington and the Cod were soooo good. The atmosphere was amazing and it was such a great restaurant for us to find on our way accross Canada.
The food is incredible. My sister is a vegan for health reasons so we wanted to take her some place with good vegan food. She had eaten here before (there aren't a lot of vegan options in Fredericton), but was able to try something new on this occasion, and tried the Squash Wellington. She was amazed at how good it was! The other meals we had were all fantastic. The wait staff were phenomenal, being absolutely wonderful with the two autistic children we had with us, politely answering the million questions asked by one of them, and never running out of patience.
Just one of our favorite places to eat! They’re like family — to their customers and to the community. Every season they host art auctions to benefit local community programs. They’re involved in social media so you know why their specials are and they have some of the best food in town. Today I tried their house-made black bean burger. Excellent. Today I got my free birthday dessert too! Thanks Isaac’s Way!!
I've never had any complaints in the few times I've been there. Great ambiance and a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Excellent food.
The food was delicious and is consistent. Pricing is very much in line with the quality and food offered. I love the specials and the different spins with quality ingredients. I will say one of the only reasons I haven't given it a 5 is because it doesn't exactly cater to those looking for traditional dishes, which may or may not be a bad thing. If you haven't tried it, please make a reservation and enjoy the ambience of a historic building in downtown Fredericton.
Food was good. Portions were decent but service was slow. 20 min wait for a take out box. A little much.
Top notch place. Bistro style and good service
Dine in
It has moved to their new location at 649 Queen Street. Beautiful old historic brick building, formally the NB Courthouse. It's right beside the Crowne Plaza.
Had the fish and chips out on the patio. It was tasty and the only drawback was that the fish was quite thin and the breading thin as well and a bit bland. Needs a bit more spice or pizazz.
Likely the finest local restaurant in town. Friendly staff. Perfect portions. Quality ingredients.
Above avg. Price with a distinctively different menu. I enjoy the art work on display as well. Typically busy though.
Not the most amazing meal we had in Fredericton, not bad, but not amazing.
The food was good. I had the breakfast poutine which was very tasty and a large portion. It is a nice place with a welcoming decode.
Meh. After reading the reviews I thought this place would be amazing. It was so so. The food was all very sweet in flavour and our four yer old daughter was not at all fond of the grilled cheese. They use a rich cheese in the sandwich and the sourdough after toasting is hard for her to eat. The kids menu needs to be tested. Speaking of menus, who ever did the typography on the menu should be dragged behind the restaurant and shot. The Graphic Design was awful. Kidding aside, no major complaints, but for the price I expected more. First and last visit for us.
The food was awful, poor service (forgot half of our order).
Delicious food and a great atmosphere.
Always loved this restaurant and made a point to go there every time we came to Fredericton. Yesterday the owner was very rude, loudly and rudely shaming those who eat meat. This came from me simply stating that I loved the chicken samosas and asked if they’d return to the menu. I will not eat there again and, instead of promoting the restaurant, as I have done in the past, will let people know how rude she is. It was a very uncomfortable situation and no one should be made to feel like that in a restaurant.
Amazing food!
The food is great, and the service also good.
if you have dietary restrictions, do not eat here. They have no "simple food" options, everything has 20+ ingredients. Children found it hard to select something... Everybody likes variety, but you have to have staple foods as well. Service was beyond excellent, the only reason for 3 stars. Also very pricey.
Great restaurant. Love their fries in particular. The deck is beautiful in the summer too. ????????
Delicious every time. Great atmosphere with all the local art on the walls and their eclectic menu. It has something for every kind of palate as they make everything in house! The BioNB team has been there twice now for lunch.
Amazing place! Love the concept to encourage local and that everything is homemade. Difinitely will be back soon!
Very interesting way of foods, the pork is surprisingly good, and so is the baked potato!!
Meal type
Enjoyed the soup of the day and had sweet potato fries. Delicious!
Enjoyed this eatery. Service was great and attentive. Bit of a wait at the entrance however, to be expected at 7 pm on a Saturday night. Dined on seafood linguine, fish and chips and chicken Marsala. All was perfect. Cocktails were great. Our server was on top of everything from start to finish and never missed a beat and the restaurant was incredibly busy. Well done.
Imaginative and varied menu with very good prices for food and drink, and friendly and nicely paced service. Well worth a visit; don't be put off by the slightly shabby exterior!
Great little spot. Not too expensive, great food, kind staff and really nice atmosphere.
Dinner menu was the best I ever had.
Always a good experience at Isaac's Way. Lots of variety of foods and some yummy vegan/vegetarian options as well. Try the squash Wellington! Staff is friendly, the prices are decent, and I always love seeing the art for sale.
This quirky little spot has some great art on display that's also available for purchase. Their gluten free offerings were decent, and the food was quite good. The parking situation isn't great and there's a large building going up just across the way which detracts from the feel of the place, but the staff was lovely and we would certainly stop by again the next time we're passing through.
Pleasant restaurant. Unique menu with local flavour. Worth an evening out.
Love the atmosphere with all the beautiful and fun paintings. Food is excellent and great drink menu!
Isaac's Way is a restaurant at which I often find myself when I'm in Fredericton. It has great atmosphere and decor, with a piano painted bench and local art everywhere. Often, the art is a part of their regular art auctions to raise money for music classes for kids, etc. This dedication to doing something for the community is one of the reasons that I frequent here. The food is tasty non-pub food such as Peppered Haddock Tips, Apple Chicken Curry, and a lamb burger. Generally the food is very good, but I have occasionally had slightly overcooked sweet potato fries. For some of the meals you can buy them in lunch or dinner-sized portions. The drink menu features wine, spirits, cocktails and beer, including local stuff. One of my favourite drinks is something no longer listed on the menu, but still served if one asks. It's called a Canadian Toque and is hot chocolate, Bailey's and a bit of whipped cream. It's nothing fancy, but lovely to warm up with. Isaac's is a place where everyone can find something to enjoy, hence why my friend group often gathers there. In addition, it's great for group meals because there is a private back room for events that anyone can reserve. The outdoor patio has slightly covered and uncovered sections and there are seats near electrical outlets for those who enjoy a drink while doing some work.
Excellent food and service. Their vegan dishes are awesome.
Super friendly restaurant serving great food with large smiles. Good selection of local beers. Warmly recommended.
Love this place. Beautiful interior with paintings that are for sale for different charities. The service makes you feel that they really enjoy having you come to their establishment. Now the best part the food. From the salads soup to ribs you can't go wrong. Wonderful way to spend your time.
Delicious food, but more importantly they are excellent at accommodating allergies. I have a nut and shellfish allergy, and others in my party were gluten intolerant and milk intolerant. Everyone in our group was able to find something that they loved and which met their needs.
Loved the atmosphere, and great food! I wish the deck had been open when we were there - looks like it is a great spot.
Highly recommend, love how they support local growers and such.Food is awesome.
I love going to Isaac's way, the vegan squash Wellington is so good! I go there just to eat that everytime. ???? The drinks are really good too!
As always good food, good service, good company outdoors regardless of the rain. I feel somehow satisfied in the local blueberries craving in a slice of a really good sour cream (maybe??) blueberry pie.
We really enjoyed the savoury, delicious day menu. The soup and bun with chicken salad were super tasty!
This was my favourite restaurant in Fredericton, however, my last 2 visits were nothing like I was used to, sadly. The samosas have changed over the last year, and on my last visit, we were served cold and old coffee, and my veggie burger was actually deep fried, sitting in a pool of oil! The best thing about it was the oil covered greens. The soup of the day was a chipotle vegetable, delicious! I just cannot justify the cost of a poorly cooked meal, so sadly won’t return, but the restaurant itself, lovely!
My favourite Fredericton restaurant is Isaac's Way, for several reasons: The food is delicious from appetizer to dessert, the service is outstanding, the menu is varied, the portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable, and that's not even the best part! They use local meats and produce as much as they possibly can, they give their kitchen scraps to the local farmers for feed, they support local artists by displaying their work in the restaurant, and they support two shelters for the homeless in Fredericton. Talk about working with the community! I was impressed, as I'm sure you will be!
We were a large party of ladies celebrating a bridal shower and our waitress was fantastic. she catered to our every need and remembered everyone's orders at the end of the evening to make sure we had the right to receipts. Turns out she was also "employee of the month" congratulations!
Service
Good food, good atmosphere, good staff. The menus are landscape instead of the normal portrait form. Which throws me off everytime. Every single time.

Although we have visited this restaurant a few times before this evening and were very pleased with our meals, I would have to say that our meal quality has slipped a bit. Our first cup of coffee actually had to be returned as it was very weak (almost like a second cup from a K-cup). The replacement was very good after a new pot was made. The small metal basket my fries came in was the same as A&W currently uses - time for an update. I had the "pulled chicken" club. It was certainly not pulled chicken and did not taste any different than a normal small club sandwich. Definitely didn't feel like I paid for anything special. Likely will go to another restaurant in that area when dining downtown.
Good service. Menu is a bit limited. Could use a refresh on it.
Nice charming restaurant. Food is prepared fresh and is very tasty.
Good food. Good portion size. Quick service.
Second time in 2 years. Very nice food, atmosphere and good service
Get the spring rolls, you will not regret it. This place is the best restaurant in Fredericton, hands down.
Food was pretty bad... My husband ordered the pecan French toast and it tasted like curry (gross). They couldn't switch my potatoes for fruit, and they charge extra for coffee... I've never been to a breakfast place that didn't include coffee. I'm giving the 2 stars because the wait was friendly and that is all....
The seafood chowder was the best I ever had! Very fresh! and you know it's fresh from the ocean! Our waitress was very nice and friendly. Great enivorment and there is a covered patio area. Worth our driving from Ontario to here!
Really great brunch! Excellent food, very accommodating of my substitution requests and excellent service
Delicious breakfast with a great atmosphere and service.
EXCELLENT! Cod was seasoned just right. Fresh veggies.
Isaac's Way has been a mainstay of Fredericton many years, and every visit never disappointed. My favorite meal is the pork tenderloin with smashed potatoe. It's amazing.
Scrupulously delicious ????!
Always great staff and yummy food they never disappoint
Food is fantasticly fresh! It was very busy when we went but the staff was so friendly and kept us updated on our wait times. Even though we waited awhile for our food our server was amazing and the food was so worth the wait! It was definitely fresh and made with lots of love! I know it was super busy so the kitchen could have taken short cuts but they didn't and I would definitely recommend this place if you are ever in Fredericton or just a beautiful place for a date night!
I love their breakfast! Best one in town.... Gotta try the Smashed breakfast! Just do it :)
Best breakfast in town! Great for lunch and supper as well!
Never been less impressed by a restaurant here in Fredericton. I have a lot of friends who seem to enjoy it but I've just never had a good experience. Food is bland, never warm, and service is sub par. No reason to return.
Great spot! First time here. Something for everyone. I'm a non-drinker, so I can't evaluate the beer or wine. Had the squash wellington. Fantastic! Awesome homemade desserts!
Great decor. Service was excellent. Food was phenomenal.
Came here because had a lot a great review. Like the seafood chowder, kids mac cheese wasnt great and the musels where barely cooked had to return. Lovely place with art and lighted patio.
Good food, good setting. Liked the art and decor of the place. Was pleased to find local ingredients and local craft beer on tap.
Great vegan options, great atmosphere, great staff and great location downtown......in a word.....a GREAT place to eat!!
The great atmosphere, amazing service and some of the best food in town.
Food was dry and unappetizing on every occasion I ventured to give them another chance. Staff is kind and helpful.
Great food, good service, and really nice atmosphere and decor.
I was a little disappointed at first that they couldn't make a Manhattan, but I got over it pretty quickly with some delicious scallop fritters and a juicy mid-rare steak. The server, Alicia, was on top of everything and made sure my first visit won't be my last.
Great option for clean local food. Good GF options. Easily adjusted for allergies.
This is a hidden gem, that's way exceeds it's outside appearance. All local libations, great food and friendly attentive staff. Not a place for cheap eats, but very satisfied with the price for the quality of food and drinks on the menu.
Art and food were fantastic! Also great quick lunch service.
Good food, well priced
I went here for dinner with friends. We had a private room which was great. The service was great and the food was delicious. I ordered the courthouse burger, guilty and was very pleased. I would return.
Man I had the vegetable wellington, man it was amazing the whole thing melted in my mouth!!the veg was pan fried or something but you could taste the freshness the rice was super good. If I could rate it 10 more stars I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes food.
Had a very nice time at the restaurant! Tara, our waitress, did a wonderful job with the chef dealing with our child's multiple food allergies. We recommend without any hesitation! :)
Great interior atmosphere. Clean and tidy, nice seatings. Friendly waitress and great food! The burgers were phenomenal and the fries with it above average. With that I had the lemon cocktail, low side on the liquor but great on the taste! Even though I had better fries at less fancy places it still deserves 5 stars. Can only recommend checking it out if you never been.
Lots of great vegan options on both the dinner and breakfast menus!
For delivered orders the drivers don't receive their tips on preorders
great art and unique menu. perfect spot for a date.
Ate here for the first time today and we were so impressed with the food (phenomenal. The sweet potato bisque was straight up heaven) and with the service! This sweet little restaurant was one of our best eat out experiences - ever.
I visit every time I am in town. The food and service are always excellent, the menu selections are interesting and they change for the seasons
Food and service is always great. Nice diverse menu
Morgan was our excellent waiter The meal was good the coffee and dessert top rate the porch was cozy with a nice river view ????
We went in this local by chance. We like it very much. Atmosphere and style very beautiful. Very good taste of the meet. Staff very very kind. Big portion Price correct. Recommended.
Good local food
Went for lunch. The outdoor deck was lovely, my pulled chicken sandwich was delicious. I was however disappointed when it came on a normal sesame seed burger bun instead of the advertised ciabatta bun.
This is my favorite restaurant. They even have a nice selection for vegan options on the menu. Lovely atmosphere with friendly staff.
My boyfriend had the stuffed French toast (blueberry) which was melt-in-your-mouth amazing.
Amazing food!!
Excellent food and the raspberry cream pie was to notch. Three of us visited with not one negative comment about our food.
Was not up isaacs way but i remember driving by sunshine diner. Sunshine diner has good food and people should go there.
We had the red beet salad combination, the salmon, and the chicken cachitori. All 3 were delicious. The server was really friendly. The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. Perhaps a bit expensive, but I believe it was worth it. I highly recommend this place.
Amazing food, amazing service and such a great idea with the artwork sold for charity!! Can't wait to come back!
So good.
Absolutely delicious. I know they say they arent 100% celiac safe, but after asking enough questions I felt confident that they would do everything in their power to prevent cross contamination. Their gluten free bread is AMAZING and they're one of the few places that offer a gluten free dessert! Cant wait to go back!
We got seafood linguine and Court House Burger there. Already my bf’s fav restaurant in Fredericton but it was my first time here. I love their decor and atmosphere! Seems like most of the paintings are from local artists. The servers were super nice and friendly, and my bf really enjoyed his burger. Just my linguine was a little too dry, and I was expected to see more seafood in the dish. Otherwise I love this restaurant! Good location too!
Had a late supper here yesterday. Was pleasantly surprised as it was my first visit. My friend and I both had the gluten free clubhouse sandwich and hearty vegetable soup. I would say it was in the top 3 best gluten free buns I've ever had. Ever. They "recently" (not sure when) changed suppliers and I can say this one hit the mark! The vegetable soup was delicious. Reminded me of soup my mother used to make. Lots of fresh garden vegetables, cabbage, tomatoes....absolutely delicious! I will definitely be back to try the Cranberry Chevre Chicken!
Amazing food and service!!!
Super good food!! Staff is amazing ????????
Several vegan options. Great space. Smoked tofu benny is amazing!
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good beer selection and wonderful food. Have never been disappointed with a meal choice especially with tasty healthy choices.
The best restaurant in Fredericton, veggie, sea food, every kind you love you can find there.
Great food, vegetarian/vegan options.
The atmosphere and food are fantastic.
The fish and chips was awful. I'm sure it was pre-battered, frozen fish.
Chorizo Goat Cheese Burger. It was amazing. Huge flavor profile, and the goat cheese punched through and was amazing. You really need to try it for yourself
Dine in
The food is over priced. The menu is pathetic. And apparently normal food is the rarity here. If you would like weird food at terrible prices. This is your place to go
Delicious - beautiful terrace overseeing river.
Great food and drinks. Good Downtown location within a rock throw of many local attractions, and a spectacular view of the river. Biggest short fall was the wait time for drinks. Found our glasses empty a time or two. Glasses should never go below half without being asked for a refill.
From the old location to the new location this is a family first place, service with a smile, great food, what else could you need!
Phenomenal food every time we go, and great service from the staff. The atmosphere is homely, with an artistic flair! Always a pleasure!
The atmosphere and aesthetic is really nice and young and fresh from a repurposed interesting old building wuth local art on the walls for sale it's hip and whatnot if that is what you are into. The servers are friendly and competent. The food is trying to be fancier than it is but that is their whole thing, the whole pub food dresser up concept. I like the menu for the most part it is somewhat local, small and focosed the issue is consistant execution of some items. I have had some really good meals and some not so good meals. I like what they are going for and like the restaurant it is definitely a solid choice if you are downtown fredericton.
I've been there for my friend's birthday and we really had a good time, good food and a remarkable service.
Fantastically friendly service, laid back place. The gluten-free options are amazing.
Lots of local goodies, delicious menu full of things you wouldnt ordinarily make at home, making it truly a nice treat. Love supporting businesses like this!
Interesting pub like vibe. They brew their own beer, and the menu is pretty vegan friendly. There are options for meat-a-tarians like myself though. It is a beautiful atmospheric area (old courthouse with an attached art gallery). Very cool and hip vibe to it. Seems to appeal to more than just the young crowd of fredericton. The place was packet, and the meal was good. Definately worth a visit.
The food and the decor are amazing! This is probably one of the best restaurants in the area. Crystal was an awesome waitress!
Food options are great, really covers the Atlantic essence. Service is fine. The deck overviews part of Fredericton downtown and the river. Def recommended for an afternoon summer dinner
Service
AMAZING RESTAURANT WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE VISITING OR LIVES IN FREDERICTON *fish n chips is beyond amazing KEEP UPVTHE FANTASTIC FOOD❤️????❤️????
Ordered pulled chicken club, came nice and hot, chicken was moist, the maple bacon jam amazing!!!! Brownie bottom cheesecake for dessert.... yes please!
Local food, all sauces etc made in house (even the drink syrups for the cocktails!), local art on every wall (they sell it to support kids arts camps), fantastic portioning, amazing presentation.... you'll think you're in a 5 star restaurant, until you get the bill - then you'll be surprised you ate so well for such a reasonable cost. (Presentation is lost in the photo, I already ate some. Because tasty food gets priority over internets.) Anyway. Go there. It's super good.
Had the pulled chicken club and it was delicious. My wife enjoyed the fishcakes and my kids really liked the kids fish n chips. Great, friendly service.
Great lunch! Great atmosphere. Love the art.
Food was delicious and the atmosphere is great!
The food was very good and the waitress was kind and helpful. The ambiance is more for a family than a date. I'd go there again.
Great food. Great service. Excellent atmosphere. Our favourite restaurant in Fredericton.
Great food! Excellent gluten free menu.
Had the opportunity to eat here on multiple occasions. I feel awful to leave this review but after 5 plus disappointing visits I am done. I had the misfortune of ordering food that was bland or just ok. The bread served with the salad was cold and tasted stale. If you are a foodie, there are better options in the downtown area. Service is slow during peak hours, which is fine for after work hours but not lunch time. Actual service is hit and miss, but that can happen anywhere (maybe someone was having an off day.)
Top food in a pleasant atmosphere.
Fantastic experience! Tried the beer sampler as well as the salmon cakes and fish and chips. Loved that everything was local and fresh, and adored the art for auction on the walls. Highly recommend.
Great service and breakfast was delicious
Love this place! Delicious food and great service.
Great service & location :) We stayed for Brunch. Food was great with lots of vegan/vegetarian menu options. the haddock fish and chips was really tasty. Eggs benedict was great too. A little pricey but considering the quality of the food we got I don’t think it was too much. The seafood chowder was okay. Great atmosphere in the restaurant and I loved the decor inside which was warm and inviting to us. Waitress was super friendly. We’d recommend !!
Great ambiance, food and service at reasonable prices
Decent food. Good beer selection. Reasonable prices.
Quite surprised how good it was. Definitely stop in.
We had a yummy jambalaya and lobster roll and side of Seaforth chowder. My people also had the goat cheese salad and curry lamb spring roll which was worth all the calories. The burger was pretty good.
Very good food, a little pricey but tasty options for non-meat eaters, very friendly staff, neat atmosphere with local art displayed that you can bid on.
Oh! That was tasty! Everything is tasteful, from veggies, fries to meat. Service is great waitresses are adorable and friendly. Like the Art Café concept. Defenently recommende!
Great food and craft beers. Awesome location. Service a tad slow. Portions are a bit small for the price. They could add a cup to their chowder.
Lovely place. The food was just perfect.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was immaculate
Had a great meal, including a lobster roll, salmon cakes, haddock fish and chips. Service a bit slow but very friendly and accommodating. Overall lovely experience.
I've always enjoyed Isaac's Way and was heartbroken when their location caught fire a few years back but now that they're on the waterfront it's a quick step from the trail to go enjoy a wonderful lunch. The owners have done a magnificent job creating a charming atmosphere and the art show is always great. I've eat at with them dozens of times and have never had anything but a personable, charmed experience.
Quality offerings well priced
Great food, great service. The kids loved their chicken dinner. The burger was good, spicy for my taste but still very good.
A great place to grab brunch. Always enjoy the food and service :D!
Nicely made food. Good presence when it comes to the table, tasted wonderful
Service was slow..salad was good, would have been better if we knew about protein options.
Great service and great food! Try the raspberry sour cream pie!
I have been coming here for both brunch and dinner and have never been disappointed in either the service, food, or atmosphere. The wait staff are always friendly and courteous, the menu changes and is always full of tasty eats, and the patio is great for the summer season (I’m looking forward to it being open again). The prices are quite reasonable for the food quality and living in Fredericton.
Very good food at a tolerable price and a lovely atmosphere outside.
Stopped here for dinner after driving from North of Toronto (over 15 hours) so we were looking for good food and to try local beers and relax. They had a lovely Beer Sampler of four small local beers (for $7), my husband and I each had a sampler as an appetizer for a larger variety of different flavours. It was a fun and playful way to enjoy some local flavours. For dinner I had the Vegetarian Squash Wellington, and my husband had the Fish and Chips. Both meals were tasty, filling and satisfying. We would recommend this restaurant.
Delicious lunch - Seafood Chowder and Scallop Fritters. Excellent and very friendly professional service. Will absolutely return and recommend.
The menu reads better than the food. Bland hollandaise, untoasted English muffins.
Went to Isaac's Way on a Saturday night as a group of seven people (our last day on a two-week road trip). Place looked great and menu was very inviting (good selection of local food). Unfortunately, we were all very disappointed with the experience. While service was great (very nice server who made an effort to talk to us in French), everyone agrees that the food was below average (I personally ate only half of my meal -- dry and tasteless pasta -- and this was the day's special), and we continuously saw a mouse running on the patio (when we mentioned it to the server, he said this was normal occurrence -- eek).
I always enjoy the food and location
Our waitress was lovely and the tofu burger was great! There's lots of lovely art to look at.
Too good. Morgan was an excellent server. All of the menu is devine.
Great food and pleasant service. The Maple Curry Salmon was fantastic.
Really good food, fast service, friendly staff. Kids menu is well put together and no junk on offer :)
This was an awesome dining experience. The entree (Chile Molasses ribs) was incredible, but the dessert (raspberry sour cream pie) was sublime! I would have started with that had I known how decadent it was! Busy, somewhat noisy and lively atmosphere, we enjoyed the evening and will be coming back when we are in the area again!
Great location, sitting on the patio gives you a nice view of the river. The menu is unique and has many options for vegans and vegetarians. The drinks were awesome - I recommend the strawberry basil. Service was courteous and attentive without being overbearing. Nice spot!
Fantastic food and service! Really nice find on our way through NB
Some of the friendliest staff of any restaurant in Fredericton! Great art, great food, great experience!
Fantastic restaurant with a varied menu, vegetarian and vegan friendly while still offering diverse meat options. Fresh local ingredients are favored, and all dishes sampled were delicious. The maple grilled salmon (main menu), the Isaac grilled cheese (kids menu), and the awesomely dense house chocolate cake (inhaled before I could even snap a photo) deserve particular mention. Portions were generous, and service friendly. Nice selection of locally brewed beers, and diverse artwork all over the restaurant made this a memorable meal.
We loved the roasted red pepper soup and pulled chicken sandwich. Cool idea with the silent auction for the art on display.
Seafood chowder was delicious! Our waiter was attentive and helpful. Wonderful experience.
Nice historal building, (an old courthouse, with holding cells that have bars going horizontally, above your head, as you stand and wait for the judge...) and good food at a 2-3 star restaurant.
Overpriced with small portions. The waitress was not bad but also did not seem like she wanted to be there. There is way better places to eat then here. Some people love it, but I am not sure why.
Enjoyed a nice evening here. Great atmosphere, good service and good food.
This spot is so cozy and welcoming! Their patio is very lovely and the food is so delicious! We came here for drinks one night and had to come for their amazing brunch the next morning. Mmm everything was so delicious!
Wonderful restaurant. Good food. Great service.
A wide selection of farm-to-table dishes, locally brewed beverages, and a warmly rustic decor make this place one of the premier places to eat in Fredericton.
Never had a bad meal here. may I recommend the Fish and Chips. My favorite in the city!
Hit and miss... Squash wellington was good but smoked tofu carbonara was mehh... we did take out but atmosphere looked good. Service was okay. They were overwhelmed with the weekend crowd but managing somehow. Would like to see more management of incoming customer line.
A Great restaurant right in downtown Fredericton. Very knowledgeable serving staff. The menu is good. I had the Salmon, which was very good.
Pretty funky, nice place with great menu. I had the chorizo goat cheese burger and it was FANTASTIC.
Great food
Food over priced, below average. Don't listen to Google reviews. Most spots in Fredericton are 2.5 stars or more over rated.
Love Saucepan Sam! The decor is lovely and the food was delicious. Only recommendation is that the garden salad should come in a bigger size
Dinner
Really good restaurant. Fish and chip where really good. The homemade Tartar sauce is amazing and the sweet potato fries with the aioli sauce was really good! I will recommend this restaurant to my friends for sure. Server was super nice.
Fantastic food
Only had a salad....can't remember what it was called but it was with goat cheese....and that was the only good part of the salad. Very poor lettuce and tasted terrible. Paid for it, but sent 80% of it back.
Excellent lunch and food service for our group which included two vegetarians and a 3 year old.
Expensive and underwhelming! Chowder seemed watered down and borderline warm. The pulled chicken sandwich was good but with the beer and tip for just over $36 I expect more.
Fantastic food. Friendly service. Great joining spot for vegetarians like myself and meatatarians like my boyfriend. 10/10
A wonderful place for a quiet meal or a quick lunch. Convenient location right downtown, off street parking available. Amazing food!
One of the best local restaurants in Fredericton. Great selection of drinks (beer, cider, wine, mead, cocktails) and fabulous fare made from locally sourced ingredients. Bacon Artichoke dip is delicious!!!
Yummy and sooo worth every penny
Here (from Georgia USA) for the Fredericton craft beer festival, Isaac's is right across the street, which was lucky for me because I've been there three times in as many days. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, The food is varied, local, with healthy choices, the presentation, and flavors are all wonderful. They have cool art and a nice selection of great local and regional craft beers.
I was meeting a friend for coffee. We had to seek the waitress for refills. Maybe it would have been different if we had ordered food.
Great food, good portions.
Amazing local food, friendly wait staff. Good local beers and ciders. Many veggie and vegan options. Local bread, meat, and often veggies. If you want something different hit this place up!
Best bread pudding in the City
Avoid. I ordered ONE cocktail and they brought two, to avoid a scene I acepted to my regret They were just cherry juice. The fish tasted old. It is not worth
It was my first time eating here. The ribs were delicious and service was fast and friendly.
Very much enjoyed our first experience here. Very busy, so glad I made a reservation on-line, staff were friendly and accommodating, the decor was great with some Wonderful artwork. Which is all for purchase through auction. The food was incredible. I had the vegetarian Wellington, it was amazing and my boyfriend had the Cajun seafood pasta. Overall very impressed ????
Service
One of my favourite places in the city. Whether it's brunch, lunch, or dinner; you won't be disappointed. They serve freshly prepared meals that use locally sourced ingredients. The bacon and artichoke dip is a must try and great to share. They have gluten-free and vegan options as well.
Love it! Great atmosphere and food.
Always great! The food and the service is fantastic.
The newer location has a similar ambiance to the old location only better, has more space for seating inside and great parking for a downtown location. The food is very good and is creatively plated. The prices are reasonable and they have an affordable lunch menu as well as a children's menu. The decor and structural features along with art auctions and support of local artists really works for this restaurant and the community. Looking for an enchanting, slightly upscale bistro/pub/restaurant that you might find in old Montreal or Vancouver..this is it! We've had mixed experiences with the servers and for now I'm chalking that up to everyone has a rough day from time to time however that is why I've given a rating of 4 and not 5.
Great ambiance, amazing food
Fusion food. Good service. Good price. Surprise to find it in a small city. Amazed.
Casual vibe. Great steak and server. Tried a new Brunswick wine and it was a treat
Nice place with a good location, great patio for outdoor dining and an interesting menu but an overall mediocre experience. The staff were quite cold and inattentive and the food was a little bland and tasteless. Unfortunately did not live up to the hype for our visit. I won't be back
Had the Sundried Tomato Cod, highly recommend! Wife had the Maple Curry Salmon again as well, and she loved it.
Good food, reasonable price, good atmosphere.
Food is always delicious, great atmosphere and service!
Gluten free options. Quinoa veggie curry was great.
Always yummy food and good alcohol. :3 the bean burger is my favourite
Went yesterday for mothers day, we found 3 hairs in our pasta.. (just on top layer) this was also my first time there, we ended up ordering a new one and they made us pay for our second dish of pasta. From my understanding usually if you find something in your food and they get you another they shouldn't make you pay for it. Great Mother's Day!!!
This is not the place you want to go eat. The front image is showing a Italian like restaurant, but there's not pasta at all in the menu. Poor menu, waiter don't know they're wine, didn't gave use the right wine twice. Cook doesn't event know the difference between bleu steak and medium cook steak , the starter and the main dish came 30 seconde apart , we actually finished our main meal before our appetizer. The deserts are from frozen. I will not go back.
Food arrived incredibly fast! Amazing vegan/vegetarian options and my boyfriend loved his non-vegetarian meal too! Highly recommend.
Great place! Great art! Great food with many vegan options! Great staff!
Great place to stop for a bite while traveling through.
Food and service was excellent
Great customer service, good food (the lettuce is always old-ate multiple times here). Covered patio perfect for a rainy day during a pandemic.
The food was good and the atmosphere very cool! Great spot to have supper.
Got the eggs bene and a virgin Caesar but everything tasted very vinegary. My Caesar had so much Worcester in it it was black. Wasn't super impressed with the food overall. And our waitress didn't give us the bill or ring through our cheques to see us off.
Cozy place. Love the outdoor. Good collection of art works.
Friendly staff great food in a warm atmosphere. Loved the fish crowder
Very tasty, had fish and chips. The samosas were only OK. My husband had the beef and it looked delicious. Not bad prices!
Delicious! Lovely spot with ample gluten-free choices for Celiacs Everything is made from scratch so most menu items can be made gluten-free. Super friendly and helpful service.
I kept hearing good things about this place. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The ambiance is not that great and the food was just ok. I was so wishing it was better. The waitress was simply doing her job and also nothing spectacular. Maybe I was just hoping for more. I will try again and if its better, I will come back on and change my review. For now, at 3 is as high as I can give it.
Great service and the food is amazing
The food was great and most importantly the staff were friendly, I highly recommend Isaac's Way if you want good food and a good atmosphere.
Amazing food for really good prices!!! The fact that most everything is local makes it even better!
Great service. Excellent food, will definitely return!!
Not recommended for vegetarians. Seventeen dollars for... seasonal veggies on coconut rice? That's so disappointing that it's funny. The other option, a veggie burger--which combines chickpea, a minty avocado sauce, and pickled radish--sounds like a monstrous creation.
Great restaurant with excellent food. I had the curry-maple salmon an dit was excellent! The choice of beers was also pleasing and the service was extremely friendly.
The most hipster establishment uve ever walked into. You can get anything from two pages of beer to three pages of things that sound oddly gross. What kind of monster puts jam on a chicken sandwhich?
Great food and atmosphere.
I had the roasted beet salad and it was incredibly scrumptious. I only wish I had taken a picture of it.
My wife enjoyed the pork tenderloin. The fish and chips were not as good
Local and elegant with a regularly changing menu. You will be impressed by the care that goes in to each dish.
Ordered the special, it wad excellent, priced lower than expected, and the service, as usual, was excellent.
Great place for lunch, the patio has a great view of the River
Good meal. Burger was a bit small for the bun. ( court house burger) Try a better quality coffee. Lemon Lobster penne was yummy! Chocolate brownie cheesecake was delicious.
Squash Wellington is the best vegetarian food I have ever had in my entire life. Absolutely amazing. Whoa!
Pricy, mediocre food. The only good thing is the view.
Went for brunch on the patio. Lots of vegan options (we had the vegan breakfast poutine, which was delicious). Good service, and everyone enjoyed their meal.
Wonderful service, great atmosphere. Variety of different dishes. We did have to wait a few minutes as we did not make a reservation but it was worth the wait.
Second time there within past 6 weeks. Food cooked so well, ingredients fresh, serving time great. Kids enjoyed the food and so did the adults! One of our favourite spots in town.
Good service. Delicious food! Good variety on the menu.
Great service and excellent quality
Great service and delicious lunch. Excellent for vegetarian or vegan
The food is ok but definitely not worth the price.
Fantastic atmosphere with exceptionally delicious, local (as possible) and innovative menu as well as featured local craft beers and wines. Highly recommended.
Nice deck, good selection of cold beer and the food is among the best in Fredericton.
The food and beer is as beautiful as the artwork
Food was okay but overpriced and no specific luncheon menu. Main problem was the noise - no music playing, but people's voices seemed very loud - couldn't hear my companion and could barely hear the waitress. Perhaps an acoustical problem in an old building?
Friendly waiter that always filled up our water and great tasting fries with the burger!
Top notch food and service. We had a group and they let us sit and talk with no rushing us out the door. Reasonable prices and a convenient location.
Yummy food. Well designed restaurant too. Vegetarian options. Great veggie burger.
Wouldn't go back. Seafood chowder was more like potato soup. Ceaser salad was actually a spinach salad. Yuck
Amazing vegan options!!
Great food. Good waiting staff great dessert. Hostess could have been a little more courteous upon arrival.
Easily one of the best places to eat in town. Portions are perfectly sized. Food is all well cooked and locally sourced to my knowledge. Staff is always friendly and the selection of drinks is mighty fine.
Great food and great service. The patio was lovely and the art work displayed was interesting.
Always a good experience at Isaac's Way. Tonight however it seemed we waited a long time to order, pay etc.
Friendly ambience and tasty food. Price range is $$$.
The food was INCREDIBLE. One of my favourites while visiting this wonderful city. By far one of the best fish cakes ????????
Nice restaurant. Very cool atmosphere, interesting menu, good food, and good service.
Really good spot for vegan and vegetarian diners. For a "not specifically vegetarian" restaurant there is a large selection of really good stuff, food that you would not normally find anywhere else on Fredericton❤️❤️
Great food and the local art forsale is a unique touch.
Great food! A must stop if your visiting the downtown area!
This place was fantastic! They had great meat and vegetarian options, all full of local flavors. We'll definitely be back here on our next trip to Fredericton!
Always FABULOUS vegan/omni good, great service and very relaxing yet hip atmosphere
They had great Vegan options and were very friendly!
Amazing food , incredible service and amazing atmosphere .
I love this restaurant. They have great food and a full celiac menu. It has a very nice artsy atmosphere and great staff.
One of Fredericton's premier restaurants, located just off of the downtown water front walking path. The food is always hardy, very flavorful and consistent! Always serving a great daily special as well!
Great selection of food that is locally sourced. Be sure to check out the artwork and artifacts!
I always love the food here. Excellent place to eat and look at the art paintings all the wall which there is a silent auction for it. I don’t believe there is any nearby parking so prepare to pay before 5pm.
Great food in a really cool building
Beautiful restaurant. Good food and friendly staff.
I absolutely love coming here! The people are so nice and the portions are great!
Good food and service!
Great place to visit, the atmosphere is very relaxing. Great food close to downtown and parking available. Lots of local drink choices on tap.
This place is wonderful, everything is delicious and fresh!
One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a while! They have absolutely incredible, unique vegetarian options (get the cauliflower ragù!) as well as decadent desserts in a relaxed, homey, art-filled environment. Plus, they are devoted to supporting local farms and businesses as well as artists! Can’t say enough good things.
full of local flair including ingredients and art. good value. the fish is excellent whether it be in cake form or cod fillet. pork tenderloin is good too. beer sampler/flight is nice.
Creative tasty food with a good atmosphere and excellent service
This was my first time to this restaurant but it definitely won't be the last!!! The food and service was fantastic and I loved the atmosphere and decor!!!☺️
Interesting menu. Something for everyone.
Lovely place. Great staff and my first ever lobster roll!... amazing!.. thank you very much x
Great food and an ever evolving atmosphere due to the fact that every piece of art on the walls is for sale.
Wonderful food and atmosphere! Very friendly and attentive staff.
Went fir lunch today, had haddock bites with salad and bread pudding with blueberry sauce, very delicious, service quick and waitress ver polite and friendly.
Rarely do I go to the same restaurant twice while on holidays. I like to explore and vary my options. But with this place, I went twice. The food was impressive, the art on the walls was fun. Brunch was great, dinner was great. I loved the fish cakes, with a nice lemon flavour to them.
Good food and quick service without breaking the bank! Two of us had brunch for about $30.
First time here, food was excellent our server Morgun was very informative, pleasant and helpful. I definitely recommend it and certainly my lady and I will be back!
Had the seafood linguini and it was fantastic.
Great locally sourced food; the scallop frotters and Squash Wellington were amazing, and the night's special (blackened salmon with rice & quinoa and a mixed greens salad) was also very tasty. For desert we had the chocolate cake with mocha icing and the blueberry bread pudding, both were absolutely delicious. Cider and coffee were also great. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Fredericton. Artsy decorations and great service really round out the experience!
Meal type
Service was great and food was outstanding!!
We did not like this place. They brought sandwiches for our children. Grilled cheese and bacon. Simple right? No. This place had something called Maple Bacon Jam and they slather it on EVERYTHING. This is what they think is Trendy and Cool. This is what they put on our kids sandwiches. Grilled cheese and maple bacon jam. It was gross. The waitress was rude. Asked why we didn't know that everything there was 'unique' - that we should have expected this. So my kids barely ate. The waitress comes back when we are all done and says 'oh the new cook made them wrong, they were supposed to have real bacon' I'll take 5 dollars off. Not off both sandwiches, just one. We didn't want to pay for them at all. She got ruder. We talked to the manager. No better. I will never go back there again.
Avocado breakfast was perfect! Have never been disappointed in their food.. always top notch!!
An artsy upscale restaurant with original food choices.
Friendly staff and great food.
