Me being from the west coast Vancouver, this place has a lot of plates that are on par with what you can get down there. You can watch sports and drink in the fine establishment as well. Facilities are nice, lots of parking too.

One of the best sushi restraunts in town. The service is quick which unlike Fort St. John's usual service. The menu is expansive, the prices are similar to edo sushi, and the quality and presentations far exceed anything else in town. If your looking for an excellent place to take date that isn't a pub I would highly recommend this little restraunt!

Good Sushi! Always had a great time coming to Mastaro Sushi in Fort St John, good food and friendly staff. We have tried almost everything on the menu, our favorites are the Spicy Caterpillar, Soft Shell Crab, Spicy Tuna Cone and Salmon Rolls. Yummy ????. Keep up the great work!

Food was not bad, but not consistent. Have been here four times. Different menu items were good each time. Price is very high for the inconsistency of quality. Seared tuna is done properly one visit and poached the next. Nigiri is fresh one visit and soft the next. Rice is plump one visit and paste the next. Price is always high. Recently the server forgot to place two of the ordered dishes and one of our party left hungry having not eaten. Had to phone the restaurant phone to get our bill brought to our table after asking for it 20-25 minutes earlier. This was our very last visit.

On one occasion I enjoyed the best Toro I've had anywhere in the world, including the storied Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo. May have been the luck of the draw, but it was nice to benefit from it. Great staff too, wonderful people, very welcoming & friendly.

Best Dolsot Bibimbap Ive had in a while. Bowl was hot enough to crisp the rice, and kept the meal steaming hot for a long time. I will be back for this again soon.

Who would think you could find great sushi in FSJ of all places. The portions are perfect, the prices are reasonable, it's clean and very open. That's right not packed in tight like cattle and plenty of parking. Oh and don't forget the side bar with tvs to watch your sports if your alone or with a buddy.

(Translated) The chef and the waiters are all Asian! So it's really authentic! You can eat such Japanese food in such a remote place! What a blessing! The eel rice, char siu ramen, and tempura are all superb! I was so excited that I forgot to take pictures! Much richer than the menu on their website! It should be the best Japanese restaurant in the local area! Hope business is booming!
