I was staying at the Pomeroy Hotel recently, and this was a nicely sized restaurant connected to it. However, for its size, it only had 1 person doing service. I was here for lunch, and there were only two families already seated. I waited for 10 minutes at my table, before tracking the server down. She was obviously overwhelmed. However, food was prompt, and was very good. I had calimari and an Elk burger, and a chocolate Kaluha cake with ice cream for dessert. Put one other person on staff, and you'll have the wait time issue taken care of.

The server was lovely. Saw her once to order, once to pay the bill. We ordered the nachos which were genuinely bad. Very tiny plate, half burned to the paper, half undercooked. Paid $6 to add about 2 tbsp of burned, shrivelled granules of what used to be ground beef that we finally found burned at the bottom with the paper cheese. Salsa, guac, and sour cream were okay but not worth the $. Left both feeling ill even after not choking through it all. Idk if the food was genuinely this bad or if it was just post-covid bad, however, we won't be eating there ever again.

Waited 25 minutes tonight for our bill, did not try the roast special as it was disappointing the first two attempts. Our food was alright, but the fries were undercooked which has been the case in the past as well.

3/5, it wasn’t bad but for the type of restaurant it appears to be and the placement, I was expecting some good quality food and service but the service was very slow and the food quality was just decent, nothing special with prices that compare to much better quality options.

COVID did not stop this place from great service and food. Wife had the vegetarian burger with sweet potato fries and I had the bison burger with regular fries. Mine was seasoned great (peppery) and...well my wifes was so good I was jealous I didn't order it. The mighty peace on draft is great! If you are coming through Fort St. John stop here...you will regret not doing it.

Talk about a disappointment. Went with some friends for a steak dinner, the potato options where limited, I was hoping for a baked potato with my steak but I guess they just have fries or mashed so I went with mashed and had to pay extra for gravy....... once it came my jaw dropped. Potataoes where about as plain as plain could be the gravy tasted like nothing, the veggies where meh and over cooked and the steak was meat I guess..... It was tough, tasted like it had been frozen and had little to no seasoning on it and the onion marmalade that came with it was just fried onions mixed with syrup.... And to top it all off our server provided almost no service and was not very intuitive to the needs of the patrons. Very disappoing. I had visited “The Office” the restaurant at the Pomeroy in GP and I had high expections due to amazing food and service there. To sum up Just Jacks at the Pomeroy would be to say yes they serve food. But that’s when they stop trying. I am planing on trying the Sunday brunch buffet. Let’s see how that goes ....

Would never go again. Horrible meals. Ordered medium rare steak. Got well done. Friend ordered garlic bread and apparently cheese bread is garlic bread. Other Friend had clun house which was like a shish kabob sandwich. Horrible meals.

Extremely small portions and pricy. I went to ask the server if maybe they forgot some bread or something, things happen, but she gave me so much attitude and then never got back to me. Food wasn’t that good. I don’t recommend this place.

A coworker of mine told me about wing night on Friday nights, so I decided to go for wings with some friends last night. When we arrived the hostess told me we needed to wear masks. My friends put the masks on, but myself being medically exempt, I proceed to tell the lady at the counter. She didn’t like that, and proceeds to tell me “it’s the law”. In reality it is not a law, especially if you have a medical exemption. I wasn’t rude, but I stood up for myself and my rights of my medical exemption. The staff were snarky, rude and refused me service. I will not be going back to Just Jacks ????????

Last Friday my husband and I came in for wings. It was 5:30:pm and the reopeningafter the pandemic closure we are frequent customers and so were lòoking so forward to the experience. We were asked by the hostess if we had reservations and I explained that I had called the night before to see if they were open for business and was not told that we needed to reserve. She stated that she could get us in around 8 pm but that they were fully booked. Despite nor a soul being in the restaurant she would not serve us. We walked out so incredibly disappointed and unfortunately will not be back.

Menu changes since the last time we were there were disappointing. If you want pub food, you can get it on the new menu, but there are not a wide variety of dishes, the prices for common food are in the higher range for what you get and there are few interesting dishes for adults looking for a tasty dinner. The pizza is one of the better things on the menu. The crust tasted a bit flour-y, but I took that to mean hand made there which is a plus and they put on good quality toppings.

I had an awesome experience here. Service was above expectations. Had pizza and nachos and I must say it was damn good. I will for sure be returning to eat here and will recommend them. Some of the best pizza I've ever had. Great job guys!

Over the weekend I came here to eat, one of the girls in the restaurant served me she was very welcoming and nice, checked on me regularly with all her other tables she was very good with the kids, which you don't get very often in fort St. John , she was very outgoing and talkative, meal was very good and the service was perfect, very kind young girl !

We are staying at the Pomeroy and decided to get some room service. I went with the 40 dollar ny steak. Long story short, I wouldn't feed the meal to my dog. I don't blame the chef, I'm sure it's management who tells them what and how to cook. Their cooking style is, "add butter!" If management reads this, please understand that some people like the taste of vegetables. You don't need to give your customers brolloci swimming in butter. Nor do you need to serve a baked patatoe covered in a stick of butter. It's disgusting Moreover, get a new meat supplier. Or buy local. There is great meat here in Fort Saint John. You don't need to ship in lame cuts of meat from Toronto. The kicker was the person who deleivered my food, said since it was the first night I couldn't charge to my room. Never heard of that ever. So I pay with card. After paying she shows me my bill that has gratuitity included! Classy. Don't eat here.

Food is awesome no complaints from previous times, but service was horrible. We got yelled at by 2 servers and the manager. We had a friend with us that was 18 and they accused us of talking about giving them drinks, all we said was that we didn't like to be treated like that and they started yelling at us to get out. I don't recommend anyone go there for the service. Will NOT be going back anytime soon.
