The food was ok. Service was ok as well, if not a bit slow but I don't mind not being rushed. My biggest issue was that they advertise a "True Guinness Pint" on their menu as "20 oz" but proceeded to pour me a 14 oz beer. Not only that, they pour the Guinness like its a run of the mill lager. This may not be a big deal, but I am big on tradition and having been to the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin and poured my own "Perfect Pint" and had numerous Irish bartenders take the time to properly prepare a Guinness for me, I find it hard not to be disappointed. Once I pointed out my pint was not as advertised they gave me another improperly poured 14 oz on the house...still left disappointed. Saw other patrons getting the same 14 oz Guinness and most likely paying the full price.

It’s a Browns, can’t complain about the place. Always clean and the food is always the same. #28 Dragon Bowl is awesome, burgers are great too. stay away from BBQ Korean chicken appy and their Pad Tai, they are not good. Wife loves their Kale salad as well.

Menu is wonderful - lots of variety. Their dishes are definitely a notch up on many similar restaurants. The Dragon Bowl is out of this world and my family enjoyed amazing burgers as well. The Cowboy Salad is also a favorite of mine. Service was friendly and quick. Definitely a 'go to' place in FSJ. Definitely not the most gorgeous location, but it's handy, being pretty much in the centre of downtown.

This is a busy little place! The menu has a little something for everyone - nice healthy choices are always nice to see!! The appetizers were fantastic, the calamari, pork ribs and spicy tuna roll. Great food, great beer. Went in for my lunch break. The bartender seemed like she was having an off day, but all in all, everyone does, so I can not fault her for that. She left me alone, which I respected as I had brought paperwork from work that needed to get done. The Dragon Bowl is what I ate. It has been perfect everytime.

Last night was the first time ever eating at Browns. I chose the Potato Crusted Cod with garden salad instead of rice. When the meal came, I was very surprised to see such a small portion of fish for the price. The server took note of my subtle reaction and brought it to the attention to the supervisor. Sandra, the beautiful young supervisor, came and spoke with me did everything she could to improve my experience, but I was quite contented at this point. I finished what I claim to be one of the best meals I have ever had. The fish was done perfectly and the salad was absolutely delicious. When I went to pay the bill, I realized my wine was paid for. This was an excellent experience and I look forward to returning. Thank you.

Went out for the first time in a long while, due to Covid. Restaurant was clean, barriers in place, lines on floors. Seating was quick. Drinks were served quickly, food was served quickly, problem with one meal was quickly corrected. Staff wore masks. Food was awesome. Staff was awesome. Excellent experience. It is nice to dine out in public again. Thank you Browns Social House Fort Saint John. We will be back.

Not my favourite place in FSJ but if you're looking for a fancy place to eat this is your place. The food is expensive but tasty. Service is adequate as well and the place is always very clean. Don't recommend this place if you're a super picky eater though. The downfall of this place is they could have made better use of the outdoor patio as we largely have cold weather - but it is nice in the summer!

Covid restrictions are gone, and Browns is still one of the nicest places to eat in Fort St. John. Tried the Cowboy chicken tonight. It was terrific. The wonton Soup is great, try the tuna roll. The calamari is also a great appy. Any of the burgers are really good as well. The meal choices are on the healthier side. Not a lot of greasy food choice. Oh yea and the staff are great as well.

Just had lunch here, tried the dragon bowl and the calamari. If the food was not as good as it was, there would have been no way I would have eaten it all, lol. Nice sized portions and both dishes were excellent. The dragon bowl is a must try! The manager even paid for one of the 2 beers I had which was super nice and the server was as inviting as the meal. Will definatly come back for seconds! :)

Sooooooo good!!!!! This is my third time at browns, I love the food. Always get the calimari, the sauce is so good with them. I also have tried the teriyaki bowl and it's great. Could use a little less sauce, but it's delicious. I would recommend the shrimp pizza before anything else. So yummy.

Brown's has certainly stepped up their game over the last couple of years. They really tanked it for a while with some terrible staff and the place would be empty. Way better atmosphere now and the number of patrons reflects this. Could do with changing up the menu again. Its a bit stale.

In town for the next few months for work. Was told to go to Browns for good food and service. While I understand it was busy I was spoken to quite rudely by the waitresses. I couldn’t hear and asked one to repeat something and she quite literally barked at me. The other I tried to ask for water. Practically got an eye roll and it never came. I get it it’s tough out there right now but take your personal problems with your life and leave it at home. I’m there to eat and spend money. Not get chastised for asking questions. What happened to good service and friendly waitresses? I will not be returning.
