I ordered a bacon cheese burger with no mayo or onions. first time it came out, it had mayo on it, so I sent it back. When it came back, it had no bacon on it, so I asked for bacon. The waitress came back and said there wasn't bacon on it, I said I know, I want bacon on it. Then when I finally got my bacon it was horribly undercooked.

Good food, good service. Ordered beef dip with fries and gravy. Came out hot and good portions. Server was excellent, got us or menus and drinks quickly after we were seated. Everyone in our party was happy with their food.

This place looked kinda sketchy on the outside, but the interior was newly renovated. Service was great and friendly. Food was good standard pub fare. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the experience was in the very small town of Fort Saint James. Definitely would recommend to fellow travellers.

This pub was my go to just after finishing a hike to the top of MT Pope which overlooks Stuart Lake. This is a rigorous walk on an ascending trail 6.3 km one way. The elevation gain is 760 meter which is amongst the best of any mountain trail. Just under 4 hours return on the trail for me. Needless to say the meal I had at this pub was a welcome reward. I had a burger sandwich along with a soup and a cold beer. The meal and drink was very tasty and refreshing. The service was cheerful, friendly and efficient.
