Tonight our son begged for fish and chips for supper. I think we were all craving "home" We ordered the family pack ( cod 6 pack) and my husband came and picked it up. We have yet to have fish and chips in Fort Mcmurray since we moved here 8 years ago because we were afraid that it would disappoint and not be like home. So needless to say that our expectations were high. Once we opened the box and had our first taste we were blown away. It was delicious and all we could do is rave about how fantastic it was with every bite. Now I'm mad at myself for not trying the fish place alot sooner. Great job!

One of the best place for me to go with family, friends and coworkers. Staffs are very friendly, knowledgeable and professionals. Price is reasonable. We had delicious crab stuffed mushrooms caps. Love it. Onion rings, seafood stir fry, juicy BBQ baby back ribs are delicious. Not much wait time. Highly recommend others to try this place.

This is really a great place. The food is fresh and the taste is very good. They have a super special meal that has to be pre-ordered, and it’s called the “Medieval Feast” It’s all you can eat meat and seafood but with a catch: They don’t give you plates! All the food is placed on the table on top of the replaceable paper top. Its a great experience and also is great to help people connect. Definitely a 5 star location and a must for anyone who likes fresh fish

A club house is supposed to be a three layer toasted sandwich with chicken or turkey, ham and roast beef. I brought home a chicken burger smothered with cheese:( my husband was so upset. Your menu clearly says Chicken Club Sandwich. Maybe you should change the menu? I ordered pan seared scallops and fries. Your chef should know how to pansear something in butter, my scallops were dunked in flour and seared but when served the flour was falling off onto my plate:( I used to go here for the quiet atmosphere, a good chat and awesome food but I doubt I will ever spend a dime here again.

We have come here many times over the past 5 years and every single time it’s been awesome friendly service. Hands down the best and freshest fish in town too. This morning I decided to try their Eggs Benny with a side of fish cakes. Yummers! Our waitress (Elizabeth) was super friendly and fun. We just love it here. Went there for breakfast with my 12 year old. She ordered something from the kids menu. The waitress said she could not order from the kids menu. I asked why and the waitress said because she has to be 12 or under. I told the waitress her age. And they still dident think she was 12. Waitress was very rude. So we did not order. I will never enter that place again.

The Fish ???? Plase was experience won't be forgotten that easy. Fish ???? and chips ???? are excellent, they introduced me to a Naughty Amber beer ???? made by Fat Unicorn ???? That beer blow my mind, I wanted to by couple of cases. I couldn't find anywhere even beer store that supplies that restaurant, no luck. On the way home almost 400 km, I stopped at brewery which is also a restaurant. No beer in the cases only 64 fl oz which is 1.8 liters $25.00 What do you think, did I buy it? Hell yeah, after all they I was looking for and some time a day before that. Good luck to find that beer ????

Had the "Alligator with Whisky Peppercorn sauce" appetizer! Really nice sauce. The meat was pretty soft and reminded me of a pork chop. Would definitely recommend if you're looking to try something new. The flavor is unique but not overpowering. Enjoy!

Living in a city where there is a vast population of Newfoundlanders it is nice to have a place like this in town. The service is kind and nice, and their food is amazing! My favourite is the Captains Platter, but that's a different thing. They have live lobster which is amazing. It is fresh straight out of the tank. Definitely earned its rank.

How this place has such a high rating is beyond me. Service was so so, but the food was sub-par at best. I believe it was the chefs platter that I ordered. Calamari, clam strips, popcorn shrimp and some sort of fish all battered and fried. This whole dish must have come put of a bag that had been frozen. Not exadurating at all, I would expect better from the frozen food isle at Safeway.

It is what it is. There is nothing really great about The Fish Place. Actually, the service was great, but the food was average. Fish Cakes barely had any fish. Should be renamed potatoes cakes. Hollandaise sauce is terrible, so never order the eggs Benedict. I asked for poached medium eggs and they came poached hard. What they call back bacon is just slices of ham... Food ordered was just... OK Why do I go there?

Our server was so informative and helpful, she ended up saving me money; meanwhile I got to try just about most of their breakfast offerings. The food was amazing, so delicious, I'm going to be returning as often as possible. during my last visit, we were the only couple in the entire restaurant yet my food took 40 minutes. They must've gone fishing for my food cause when it arrived I gobbled it down and forgave them for taking forever.

Most of the food is good here. Cod is good, batter is good. Cod au gratin is good. The shrimp basket I got was just popcorn shrimp with fries... disappointing and greasy. If you want greasy food this is the place to go. Stick to the fish.

Went here today for brunch with my 10 month old and husband. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We were seated in a less busy area and they tended to our needs. I felt so at home. The Fish Place-- as exciting as the name gets. Seafood lovers coming here for the first time may get a small disappointment here as the food is, well, very 'meh', but a place worth checking out anyways. The atmosphere needs a update and the menu is indeed mediocre for the price, but a still a good place to go with family or a few pals if you're craving some halibut or cod.

Made a reservation for 5pm, finally seated at 5:35. Excuse at the time was that people were having lobster and it took longer than expected (???) If you can't honour reservations, don't offer them. It might have been fine if a manager (anybody in fact) had come and apologise. No such apology or other offer to make it right; just sat us at 5:35 like nothing happened. Food is good but pricey. Service is okay.

Our team had ordered a crab boil and the lady kept bringing different items over a period of time. There were no plates, fork of knife just plain table cloth and items were dumped on the table directly. It started with chicken wings, potato wedges, cron, carrots, mussels, shrimps and carbs. It went on for ever. They even provided bibs.

Our server was so informative and helpful, she ended up saving me money; meanwhile I got to try just about most of their breakfast offerings. The food was amazing, so delicious, I'm going to be returning as often as possible.Desert- nothing special - they serve cheesecakes that look as if they've been purchased from the local grocery store

I personally did not enjoy it, it was decent before to my understanding however, I order lobster and steak and the steak came out very chewy and the lobster was very mushy !! when I told the servers about it they said they would discount me $5.00 I did not care for it, I told them point blank to take the food back! it was not good at all. don't recommend

Steamed mussels that were over cold that had to be sent back. 10oz striploin med rare that was raw and cold in the middle took it home warmed it in the microwave. Everything was cold . Took friends there won't be going back

Food is good, considering where is located and mostly is all frozen, but service is a bit slow, they dont come around asking if you need anything or refill your drinks, waitresses have to be chased around. Prices are Fort Mc average.

The staff are very friendly. The food is always cooked fresh and the service is excellent. Our favourite are the all dressed steamed hot dogs and fries
