We went for lunch and the foodand service was mediocre at best. My fries were over done and my colleague's gravy was cold. What they do have going for them is the view. A spectacular view of the Lake!

We had a qucik lunch stop at Harbourage after a long wait getting across the border. We were not dissapointed with our restaurant selection upon enter Fort Francis. The burgers were juicy and delicious accompanied by tasty french fries. Being a breakfast looking joint, I was surprised to find adult beverages on the menu. Our waitress was extremely excited when I ordered a "Caesar" and she proclaimed to make the best in town. To my delight, she did not disappoint.

Food is decent at best (not very good, definitely not great or anything to write home about) but I had great concerns about my whole dining experience. During a pandemic, there should not be lipstick on your coffee cup and I believe the cook should be wearing a mask. I have been disappointed every time I go and won't bother going back anymore.

This diner is consistent. If you order the Eggs Benedict, you know exactly what you’re going to get. In fact I can taste the hollandaise right now as I write this. There are somethings that I wouldn’t go here for.... but if you want a good classic diner breakfast then this is the place to go. Eggs, bacon, hash... cooked great. It’s usually pretty busy, so don’t mind sitting elbow to elbow, but this has a good diner feel to it. Coffee is hot and service is fast and nice.

When we arrived there was a queue but when I see that.. I know there must be a reason! We waited for about 15-20 for a table to clear and that was not a problem for us. It was our first time in Fort Frances visiting my sister and she recommended this joint. The service staff seemed to be very busy but still keeping up with all service standards. The patrons seemed to be all and older crowd of locals. We were sat in a nice corner table and was able to view the harbour front. We ordered standard breakfast and it came in a timely fashion. Coffee was always topped up as well. At one point the one waitress said to my boyfriend “Hi how’s it going!! It’s been a while!!” She thought he was someone else.. she was a total sweetheart and let us know that he has a twin. Keep up the fabulous work, whenever we visit FF we will return to the Harbourage for breakfast.

Gotta love any place that serves breakfast all day long. My family all have their own favorites. My ‘go to’ is the Deck Hand (huge breakfast plate). My wife loves the perogies. My son alternates between the pork cutlets and the liver. My daughter usually gets the chicken strips and fries (with a chocolate shake). You know Spring is finally here when the Harbourage reopens. Friendly staff and very reasonable prices. The front windows offer a great view of the mouth of the Rainy River and the shoreline of International Falls, MN.

You see the kitchen when you enter and you know that you're going to have clean home cooked food when you sit down. The staff are accommodating and friendly even if you show up in your dirty work clothes. I reserve the last star because they didn't have any wine or beer. The place is set up like a dinner Cafe.

Very accommodating for my son's Celiacs Disease. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My husband had the Philly and loved it. Would also highly recommend the all-day breakfast. Definitely coming back next year.

Yesterday was my first time checking out this restaurant as I was staying at the Bayview Motel. The food and the people are amazing! Go for the burgers and stick around for fudge for dessert. I went back the second day for dinner too! Comfort food at it's best!

Enjoyed a lovely supper there with my family. What you spend is what you pay for; Large home cooked meals and lovely veiw. The inside of the restaurant is very sailor friendly and homey. I would definitely go back and reccomend to others. Friendly staff and great food.

The eggs Benedict is great. Big thick slice of ham is optional. The pan fries are grill top sauteed to golden brown and they don't spare the green onion unless you ask. Classic homestyle cooking, and fresh local fish in season.

I always enjoy going to the harbourage. The food is always good when I go. It can be busy but people can be in and out pretty quick. Prices are reasonable. Closed in middle of winter still but less. Definitely a go to for tourists as well

I was surprised by the "mom& pops" style restaurant, it needs a decor update and expansion. The menu was fairly busy but only as a "sandwich" stop, for its location I expected much more, the view of the River was nice which led to me wanting a more "club" style establishment

He have been to the Harbourage dozens of times over the years. Really is home cooking with a great menu of things everyone loves. Their gravy should be in it's own food group and award winning. Location is fantastic and overlooks the lake. Lots of parking available even if you have a boat hooked up.

We were a huge group of family members from BC. Harbourage is where we ate the two days we were in Fort Frances. Excellent "like home" cooking, friendly staff, huge portions, great prices. Quick service and clean premises. We were accommodated every time we went in. Even 20 minutes before closing with a group of 12. Definitely will go back next time we're here.

The food and service was great!! Friendly staff and fast service!! Everything was really good till we realized we had a rat coming up from under deck onto the deck we were sitting on and eating one the tables. Big rat to came up several times grabbed dropped food on the deck and ran back under. I mean what else can I say other than that's pretty gross!! They did say they have been trying to trap it without any success!

Tasty home cooked meals, genuinely friendly service, and generous portions. Every table full on a Sunday evening in the off-season says a lot. Perogies with bacon, fried onions and sour cream were excellent, as was the fish and chips. The other plates coming out of the kitchen also looked very good.

had their 3 piece chicken dinner special. pieces were very small. rather then fries I asked for rice it was not tender. the waitress asked soup or salad took a salad it was in a 3 inch bowl very small for $6:25.this place nickel and dime their clients. this business will not last long especially during Covid

Great buttermilk pancakes! I had mine with blueberries in them with bacon and eggs sunny side up - heaven. The Harbourage is a friendly family restaurant with nice views of Rainy Lake where you can get good food at a good price. The local police eat here, which is as good as an endorsement as any.
