My parents just bought a cottage in Crystal Beach. We spent the weekend and couldn't wait to try San Vitos. The pizzas were just okay, the gentleman making them wasn't wearing a mask. I asked for a cream sauce on the pizza rather than the garlic butter that it came with, when we got the pizza home it had the garlic butter. The other pizzas we ordered were just mediocre, not worth the money. Based on first impressions I won't return.

I'd give it 0 stars if that was possible. Order 2 pizza's, 1 margarita, and another with just pepperoni. Came to pick them up on time, and was so confused when I left that I thought they just gave me empty boxes. The pizza's were just slightly smaller than a Childs pizza from any restaurant. Have ordered before, and they were normal sizes for pizza's. The pizza's them selves must have been sitting out for about 20 minutes, and they were a room temperature by the time we go home (about a 3 min drive) Also expected more than 3 pieces of basil on the pizza. NEVER ORDERING HERE AGAIN, NOR SHOULD ANYONE ELSE!

Had some great experiences here throughout my trip. I went twice and brought some family along and they also loved it. I enjoyed that I could bring my dog into the patio and the service is solid. Best of all, some phenomenal tasting pizza. Definitely will be back!

Best pizza I've ever had, hands down. We took 3 different pizza's for takeout. It was unbelievable, I will be coming back for sure. I wish you have another location in GTA. I would go all the time, I'm a huge pizza guy and very picky. This place does it right, perfect thin crust, amazing pizza sauce that is tasty and loaded with high quality topics, I was surprised at the low price for the quality. Keep up the amazing pizza.

Friendly service. Good portions, good value. Food not bad, considering cottage country. Only suggestion is for the restaurant to clean their gazebo and surrounding posts of cobwebs. We had a few spiders try to join us at the table.

We arrived without reservations - and had over a 45 minute wait & boy was it worth it! We were skeptical at first due to the hostess letting in a couple ahead of us. Our server saved the day with her bright energy & attention. Little did anyone know that today would have been my mum & dads 50th wedding anniversary - so it meant so much to my mum. (He died in March). The food was exceptional. We all said so & are avid foodies. Would highly recommend & can’t wait to come back.

The atmosphere was fun, cute place, Barb our server was a delight. All 4 meals and mussels were ok, need more flavour. I'm not sure I would ever serve fish on top of mash potatoes. We will be back but order more basic dishes like the pizza. Hope the chef can step it up.

Let me start by saying that we cannot recall placing ANY complaint with a restaurant in the last 10 years and it is not in our nature to complain nor write a poor review. It pains us to write this. We arrived for a 6pm reservation with my parents (seniors). We had been told we would be under the tent (to avoid sun) but were placed under an umbrella. Placed our drink orders and received our drinks and ordered our meals. (time 6:20). Had a chat while we waited when we started to notice that three other parties - including one who had arrived 10 minutes earlier - had already been served their meals. Finally just after 7pm we asked another waitress (ours had not been seen since taking the meal order) whether there was a problem. She indicated the kitchen had issues and she was sorry, offered a free beer to one of us. 15 minutes later still no food (7:20) and we were now out of water and conversation was becoming awkward as we were all hungry. Finally our waitress showed up with the meal. We firmly but politely told her that we were very disappointed and we had been there often and always had meals promptly. She told us that there was an issue with the kitchen, we replied that there had been no attempt to check in with us to keep us up to date or offer additional drinks. Meals arrived and were hot and tasty, no issues there. We believe our order had been forgotten but no one took responsibility for this or took the opportunity to make things right - or ask us how they could do so. Additional context for those with considerations in the current context: this restaurant is doing only the minimum required for safety. One server we saw was masked, a few put them on and off while we watched (recall we had little to do for well over an hour while we waited) but most servers we saw had no masks on. Customers arrived without masks and were escorted to tables inside without them; one man said he left his in the car and was not offered a disposable mask but simply escorted in as if the policy was unimportant. Some spacing was provided between tables but not to the extent of other restaurants we’ve been to. Menus are not single use; while not a requirement, apparently, it is another indication that this restaurant may not be a good choice if you have concerns. We will continue to patronize establishments that set the bar higher than required and are obviously making every effort. Further context: we gave this restaurant stellar reviews before this visit and supported them OFTEN during the last winter season. We recognized our server and were polite when sharing our disappointment tonight. But we were left feeling ignored and insignificant. Proper service training and policies could remedy this. Sadly, we are now those customers who left disappointed, who did not experience a service “wow”, and we will not be back. We complained and gave them a chance to make things right. They did not. Can not recommend based on this visit.

We came to book a reservation a few days earlier in person. The girl who took out reservation didn't ask the normal questions you would expect like THE NAME the reservation would be under or TIME. We had to tell her all this as she kept walking away. Decent tasting food, but a little pricy for the quality. But when options are limited for sit down places we decided to give it a shot. Food took awhile to come out and shortly after we were told we had to leave to flip the table. The time limits were not communicated prior to us eating and continuing to order. If you go inside you'll see a lot of the employees not masked or following covid protocols and just talking to each other while other customers are waiting to be served. Needless to say, probably will try somewhere else when in the area next.

The patio is really nice, the service was great and the food was very tasty at the time. We ordered the calamari, chicken parmesan and moose pizza (prosciutto and arugula). There’s only one issue that frustrates me with servers: When we got the moose pizza there was barely any prosciutto on it so we asked the server, Sarah, if it would be possible to get a bit more, she said no problem and didn’t mention anything about an additional cost. We thought she was being nice since the pizza barely had any. When we got the bill it was charged extra. Not a big deal because it was just $2.50 but it would of been nice to be told that it was an extra charge before she got it to at least give us the option if we were okay with that. After we paid she offered a refund but the price wasn’t the issue, it was that she didn’t tell us and just slapped it on the bill and didn’t even mention it when she brought the bill either.

The new BBQ cart on the patio side of Sam Vitos deserved a try for a quick bite. Get the basic hotdog and see how it goes. This is what was handed to me and I took the photo before eating. I leave it to you to judge......my sense is though, if you're going to do one thing, do it amazingly. All I could do was just sort of chuckle and think to myself, how you could possibly screw it up. I'll leave it at that.

Wake up, San Vito's! I don't know what happened. This place was amazing last year. Absolutely delicious food with great service, completely worth the (rather expensive) price tag. I was recommending it up and down to people. This summer, it's been one miss after another. Impossible to get reservations or takeout because they don't answer the phone. The food quality has taken a nosedive... got eggplant parmesan a few days ago and it was undercooked and rubbery. The pasta sauce didn't taste fresh, and the calamari appetizer gave my friend indigestion. Pizza was okay, but the sauce was also mediocre. We've had these exact dishes at this place many times last year and they were always great. I don't often write these reviews... I hope they read it and bring back the old delicious San Vito's!

Completely blown away with how delicious this meal was! We started with a ceaser salad, homemade arancini and fried goats cheese with a honey and truffle sauce. The goat cheese was my favourite. We ordered the Beef Tenderloin and Chicken Parmesan for mains. The Demi glacé on the beef was incredible and paired with the perfectly seasoned mashed and crunchy yet soft green beans????????????. The homemade tomato sauce on the Chicken Parm was sweet yet complemented the lightly breaded and seasoned chicken. The pasta was cooked perfectly ???????????? Definitely a 10/10 for amazing service and food! Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Made a reservation since it was a Friday evening (recommended on weekends) The food is good, had the chicken parm and it was very good. Nice atmosphere but the service was very slow (food took over an hour) and our waitress wasn't overly attentive as she basically abandoned us after we received our food. Nice place, they just need better organization and to improve the wait time to get your food.

Only 1 family sitting outside at the tables... about 10 free tables but my 2 young children and I were told we needed reservations.. we drove up at 340pm and asked if they were open and were told they open at 4pm but not that we'd need reservations. We walked elsewhere. On return the tables outside were not filled. Not sure why we were turned away but we won't be returning here.

I was in the area hosting a bachelorette party and received take out for a dinner party of 8 people. The manager and chef were very helpful in assisting me with curating a wonderful dinner menu. The food we received was excellent! We enjoyed everything we ate including the fried goat cheese, arancini, gnocchi and the San Vito's Chicken, just to name a few. Highly recommend this restaurant!

We came because it was highly recommended. Never again. The server never brought us cutlery. We had to ask someone else twice! We were also seated in the tent area which initially seemed nice, however it was covered in dead spiders and cobwebs. A good cleaning would have been appreciated before seating patrons. So disappointed.

Love Jesse & Mia...doing great job accommodating extra outdoor patrons....but for 3rd time....had to leave after being promptly seated with menus,and after 15 min. not seeing server or any acknowledge....nothing....we left! Looking at the overall it wasn't that busy, the servers just seem to be lacking in training to acknowledge customers that they will be right with them....small token that would have kept us there.

First time visiting San Vito’s Ristorante. Superb food. The sauce is very tasty. Chicken Parm was fantastic and a large portion. The Head Chef Kevin came to our table to chat. He is an excellent chef and extremely dedicated to ensuring his customers are pleased with their meal. Our waitress Barb was so friendly and was attentive to all our needs. The atmosphere was serene with beautiful Italian music accompanying our meal. Prices are comparable to other restaurants.

I am not sure how this restaurant stays open. First day of our vacation we liked the patio and decided to stop for a drink. The server told us we can’t have only drinks and we have to order food if we want to come in. At this time we were the only customers and the place was completely empty. On the second day we stopped by and asked until what time the kitchen is open and they told us 10 pm. I called and 925 pm to place an order of few pizzas for take out. The server told us we can’t order because the kitchen is closed. We told the server we were told the kitchen would be open until 10 pm she told us they were slow and they closed the kitchen. This place needs to get its business in order if they want to remain open because this is definitely how you do it.

I have ordered from here a few times. They had a really talented chef running things for awhile at the end of last year. He made really great food, especially his chocolate cheesecakes which he offered to us to try. My wife and I tried it again last week and the food was inedible. They have a very serious noise issue you can’t hear any conversations from the table due to poor acoustics. Like football stadium inside. The table of 8 were all locals and will not be back until noise levels are addressed. Snow shovel available would be useful to clear sidewalk in front of building.

When we placed our order the restaurant was basically empty and we waited one hour for our food with no word from our waitress, who had disappeared. When we finally got our food, the chicken on one dish was raw inside and the risotto was still crunchy. Worst meal experience of my life.

We arrived the door was unlocked and the whole place reeked of booze and there was a pizza and wings in the table with bites taken out of it and nobody in the restaurant at all we tried calling again and everything no answer and nobody to be found. Went here for the first time ever since reopening Due to covid. Very disappointed with the fact that the food took us an hour to arrive while sitting in the heat with only 2 other tables on the patio. Workers failed to wear any PPE’s when taking orders and serving food. No sanitizer provided when seating or after payment on debit machine. Not impressed that there is no steps In place to take any precaution.

My husband and I went tonight for our anniversary dinner. Patio service only, but they have a large tent so they stayed open even through the rain! We have the bruschetta appetizer, Dario's chicken and salmon, everything was delicious. We topped it off with Moose's Pistachio Pie for dessert, and it was to die for! Our server, Maddison, was very friendly and efficient. We'll definitely be back!

Absolutely horrible customer service. Called weeks before to book reservation. Traveled about 100 miles to be informed a couple of hours before the reservation time that it was arbitrarily cancelled even though we were already in the area. Learned they were not abiding by Covid19 guidelines. Employed servers who would not wear face coverings and management refused to have them comply for customer safety. Also learned they had tables adjacent to pedestrian street traffic not two meters away. Don't go there! Tell locals in Crystal Beach to stay away and safeguard their health.

Arrived just before 7pm on a Tuesday August 10th. We were promptly seated. The restaurant did not seem busy. We were seated in the tent. Which was dirty and covered in spiders and webs. Then the waiting began. Waited 10 minutes for the waitress to the our drink order. 10 more minutes to get the drinks. The another 20 Minutes before we were able to order. Our waitress had disappeared. Basic table bread arrived an hour after we were seated. An hour after ordering our food I went to complain, inside the restaurant. No manager was around so I let the bartender know. When I got back to my table the waitress had delivered 2 food items. She blamed the kitchen. And she said there was no manager working. So she would pay for our entrées. We voiced our dissatisfaction as all other tables that arrived when we did were served. The waitress clearly forgot about our table. Never came around for a drink refill or to apologize for the wait. We said we wanted to leave and to box up the food. 30 more minutes before we could leave. The waitress could not even bring our food to us. The hostess did. We promptly left and ate out take out at home. Don't bother coming here. The food is basic Italian fair and the restaurant seems to be poorly managed.

I am disgusted. I feel ripped off and taken advantage of. While we normally order from Bella's, in an effort to support local, we decided to spread things around a bit so I ordered 2 Veal Parmesan from San Vito's. First of all their menu plainly states $20.00 each which (including tax) should have come to $45.20 plus whatever tip I decide to give for takeout. However, I was charged almost $55.00 so they obviously added a generous tip for themselves. On top of it, while the spaghetti was fine, the veal was absolutely inedible. It was so thin you could have used it to shave your legs and it was like eating a dried up old rag covered in tomato sauce. Needless to say, back to Bella's I go. I never called San Vito's to complain because even if they offered me dinners at no charge I wouldn't eat them anyway.

Amazing! Food is superb and fresh. Dealt with Mara and her customer service is on point! Ordered both dining in with a group of 7 including my husband Alex, and take out and both times the food was so fresh and tasty! The best penne a la vodka rose sauce! You can tell that this place has integrity. Very nice to see for a change. Will definitely be coming back! Thank you Mara for the great experience!
