This Restaurant is included in the category of Brewery.
A local brew pub that fits right in to it's community. You can see the brewing in action. Limited but funky eats, most do not visit for the food however, the beer is the star. Various home made beers abound for the affectionados of beer, I …
My hubs and I were out for a bike ride last Saturday and stopped by Brimstone for a cold drink and a lunch. I was delighted they had a vegan option – the hummus bowl – and look forward to trying other vegan meals as they come available. Our server – I wish I could remember his name – was fantastic. Thank you!
Beers were good. Something different for all. Was disappointed when we looked at the menu online and made our choices. When we arrived the menu was different. We were informed that the chef left and took those items with him.
Everyone is super nice. The place is awesome, a restored old church. The names of the beers are hilarious and pay homage to the area. And great prices. Highly recommended to anyone in the area.
One of the best for food n beer. A go to spot when I’m in the area.
Great place to stop for some craft beers. The prices are very reasonable and Lee took great care of us! Service was on point! Definitely coming back .
Loved it service was awesome food amazing atmosphere great will definitely go back!!
This smoked duck flat bread was, without exaggeration, the best flat bread anything I've ever eaten. Service is quick, attentive, and friendly. The beer isn't the best I've ever had but it's still good beer. The patio seating is a bonus!
Great Craft Beer. We love visiting Brimstone Brewing Co several times a year. It is one of a few breweries where I actually enjoy almost everything on tap. The atmosphere is cool - old church in the heart of town. …
What a great spot for beers and lunch! The drinks were top notch, sandwiches were delicious, and the location and setup were stunning. I randomly stumbled on this place on a day trip down from Toronto and will absolutely be back!
Cool brewery good beer. I advise anyone to go to Crystal Beach and check this out
The food and the craft beer is well worth the detour. Everything was absolutely delicious! The wings were smoked perfectly, the burger was out of this world and the flat bread was great. But the beer was what made it all come together. Great job to the Chef and Master Brewer.
Great place! Absolutely loved the 2pie Smoked Cherry Bourbon Rauchbier. And the food was great as well. Highly recommend this spot! So glad to see places like this in Ridgeway.
Gorgeous tap room. Great bbq inspired food. Beer was decent.
Enjoyed our visit to Brimstone. We visited after a ride on the Niagara Friendship Bike Trail. The brewery is just a few minutes off the trail. The vibe was excellent. A successful mix between old and new, classy and relaxed. Servers were attentive. Enjoyed the beer as much as the atmosphere. We will be back!
Very cool place to visit. Good beers, good food and good service.
yummy. the sinister minister beer pairs well with the sharing platter
Nice outdoor patio. Great brews. Good service.
Drove all the way out to Ridgeway from Toronto because I've been a long time fan of their beer Sinister Minister. It was well worth the drive. The aesthetic is so cool, from the overall design of the beers to the whole Sanctuary, it's all very neat and packed with character. The service on a cold and wet Sunday was great, as well as the food was terrific, I had the reuben which was melty, crispy, and delicious. Obviously, the beer is heavenly (pun absolutely intended) and the flights are very generous for the price and allow you to get a good sense of their selection of beers. All in all it was a great visit and I'm definitely going to make it again!
Great food, great beer
This place is awesome! Great brewery created from an old Church, with awesome beer. The flight comes out on a cross!
The place is amazing! Wish I could experience the nightlife before COVID happened. The beer is tasty but the food is a little overpriced but still good.
awesome beer and friendly staff! The Last Ride is a favourite for sure
Good food and great beer would come again.
Great food and amazing service.... You gotta eat here!!!!
Good vibes
Always a 5-stsr experience. Zen and Margo Milk Stout are wonderful creations. Nachos and spent grain pretzel bites were satisfying as a lunch.
Excellent brews, beautiful patio. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Will go back again!
If you want incredible beer and ridiculously tasty sandwiches you've come to the right place. The wait staff on a dreary Sunday were nothing but angels. The most accommodating lovely servers I've had in a while, to the point that they let me try the hot sauce behind the bar without buying it. Will be back asap for the Roy boy, I'm only disappointed that they dont have a shop in Toronto. Came for the beer will be back for the food for sure!! The only thing I want for next time is better sauerkraut... next to that it's the best brewery I've been to date!!!
Nice little food/beer menu. I love brimstones beer! The atmosphere is cool and relaxed, the service can be pretty slow at times but other than that it's great. Definitely worth a try.
Love it. Great beer, great atmosphere.
Haven't had a chance to try the food yet but I'm a huge fan of their amazing beer. Lots of delicious and creative options for those willing to explore beyond the realm of standard issue mass produced lagers and some inspired shout outs to local culture and history (Last Ride Loganberry Saison). Happy to see their beer is becoming more available at pubs locally and at the LCBO.
Driving to Crystal Beach/Ridgeway have been our regular route throughout this year with first buying a property in the Crystal Ridge subdivision and thought would be best to familiarize ourselves with the area more before we actually become residence next year. On August 30, 2020 around 5:00 pm while strolling down the main strip and passing the brewery though we would give ourselves a treat and an opportunity to try local restaurant. We were hesitant at first with Covid and all, but decided to give it a try. We came up to the hostess area around 5:15 and waited to be directed to seating. The hostess came up and pointed a table on the patio that the table have been cleaned and available and pass us the menu. We comfortably sat down and scan the menu on our phone. Within mins. we made a decision on what we wanted to order as the choice is limited. We sat and waited, looked around observing our surroundings. There were about 4 tables and 2 servers. About 5 mins a few more people came and was seated. We were still waiting...no server in site to acknowledge or address us. 10 mins. later (which most servers will say is not a long wait to be serve, which we understand). However, as I look around and over my shoulder, noticed the people that came after us were serve already and the hostess/server went over to have a chat with the table that have already finished their meal. We understand during this time, that things takes a bit longer and we don't expect extra treatment or service, but at least someone could approach us to start with a beverage, but we didn't even get while waiting. Our effort of wanting to familiarize ourselves with the area and looking forward to support the local businesses have been shut down by disappointment of not getting service or any at all we were so looking forward to. We hope that the owner/manager of this establishment takes this opportunity to address the review with their staff.
Perfect beer, great food!
One time they give you a hard time about filling a foreign growler, the next no problem. Recently it is begrudgingly filled but $1 inexplicably added to the bill. Your product is good Brimstone but not the only game in town. I don't want to have five growlers in my car for the few times I might have one filled when I happen to be passing by a craft brewery.
Everything was really great and the patio is super nice! Staff was friendly and quick, beers have a good variety so the flight was nice to try them. We just ordered the pretzel, which was a bit hard to bite into (maybe a bit over cooked) but not awful, the grainy mustard dip was great!
We had the beef sandwich and the Reuben with a flight. So good! Worth the visit.
We liked this place so much, we came back a second night in a row. In all my travels, I can't remember ever doing that before.
We have been to this brewery before as it has a nice patio and fire pit on a sunny afternoon. The beers have been ok in the past. A lot of hoppy IPA’s which really isn’t my thing but we figured we would try again and see if they had …
Really great small, local brewery. They have a great selection of house made beer, you can get a flight or a pint. They even sell growlers of your favourite brew! Their Sinister Minister (an american style IPA) is probably my favourite local beer. and in my top 5 all time. Its refreshing and yet flavourful, pairs nicely with anything on the menu (in my opinion). Menu is tasty and very healthy, featuring many fresh local ingredients. Menu is limited, however, and doesn't feature any fried, traditional pub foods. The prices are reasonable for the high-quality of food that you are getting. The atmosphere is excellent, with a newly built enclosed patio. In the summer you can even enjoy your beer in an adirondack chair around a toasty fire after exploring the charming little shops of downtown Ridgeway or after an afternoon of soaking in the sun in Crystal Beach. The service is really hit or miss, but they have a few really friendly servers and staff.
Enjoyable patio, good food and of course good beer!
The bartender's and wait staff were all amazing!!! The food, was out of this world!!! I'll be going back in the near future again.
They have potential because of the building, lack of local competition, and decent food but the service staff ruins it all. I've been there twice, once in the summer where the service was less than impressive and then once yesterday where the waitress came over as I was literally eating my dinner - mid bite - and asked me to move to another table on the opposite side of the taproom since a large group walked in. While I was eating. Unacceptable. Enough to lose my business for good.
Great food and friendly staff!
Place was legit. I have been to probably 50+ breweries up and down the east coast. If you are American passing through, definitely stop. Food from their cooperation with Crave was awesome, and beer was much better than Silversmith or any other spot we stopped at while up in Canada (in my opinion). Idk what people are talking about, while I was there the service was awesome, our bartender/server was Dawn and there whole staff crew was fun and on point. I will definitely go out of my way to stop back there next time I am in Canada.
Surprisingly good food. The beer was well done as expected.
Burger and beer was excellent!
We were passing through Ridgeway and stumbled upon this little gem while looking for a place for dinner. The food was great and the patio had a nice atmosphere. Burgers and brisket are smoked in house and both were excellent. Would …
Very nice establishment. Staff very friendly. Only enjoyed a pint, cannot comment on food.
We absolutely loved this converted church! What a hidden gem. Great service and amazing selection of beers. A must for any road trip. #amazing
Very friendly and attentive staff. Dog friendly. Outstanding beer and food. Heavenly....
My wife and I stopped here for dinner and drinks while visiting over Christmas. It was confusing walking in the front door, the entrance was very dark and not well lit. We eventually found our way in and down to the bar. I was looking for the washroom when walking in but couldn't find it. I asked the server who pointed me in the right direction. It was down a very dark hallway and i had to use my phone Flashlight to find it. Other than that, service was friendly and food and beer were great. The initial walk in experience was not very good and is the reason for 4 stars. Other than that we enjoyed the place.
I had had the Sinister Minister IPA at a few restaurants before. We were in the area on a day trip from Hamilton, and my wife suggested we stop by. We had lunch and some beers and were there for an hour or so. What a great spot! They have a …
Sinister Minister is among my favorite beers overall. If you have the chance, stop in and give their selection a try. Big fan of the food here too! For added bonus, you can't beat that patio!
Hidden gem. Excellent beer selection. Do not miss the Sinister Minister and the Midnight Mass. The beer sauce is to lick you fingers. Be careful with the food, portions are plentiful, you might not eat everything you ordered.
Great food awesome beer.
Had supper here and was pleasantly surprised by the food quality. Everything we ordered was delicious. And loved their beers!!! Highly recommend Last Ride Loganberry and Days Get Shorter Sour Cherry Porter. Service was fantastic as well!!!
Loved sitting on the patio relaxing wirh a flight of beers..Lee our server this evening was incredible.
Good beer, great food. Roasted chicken legs us awesome
The smoked wings were tasteless and cold. Very limited menu.
Great place; great custom beers. Respectful staff. Enjoyable terrace.
Amazing! Food and beer are great, and the staff are so friendly! Will be back soon!
Good food and great beer. Good times
Was good, just disappointed about not being able to sit in air conditioning to eat , in 32 degrees weather plus humidity.. Artichoke and spinach dip was delicious, so was grilled cheese brisket sandwich! And their beer was not bad either..
Beer was great atmospere is cool but the food options where pretty bad. Not one thing on the menu looked good. (Just my opinion) but when you look around at the other people in the place and not one person is eating anything, thats a little weird.
Only came to buy some beers to take with me. Loved the place, the design, the staff is friendly and attentive. They were out of bottled sinister minister so I basically grabbed everything else to try. Will be in the area for few more days …
The service there was absolutely horrible and it had no atmosphere what so ever. I would also add more appealing food choices. I liked the beer though.
My favourite brewery by far. Solid staff. Great atmosphere. Im always willing to support a local business!
Friendly, knowledgeable service.
Great service good beer and good food
Amazing beers. Sinister minister is the best beer I've ever had
Just had lunch at Brimstone. We had the Farm Board and the hummus. Delicious!! Highly recommend. My husband had the Punk Rock beer and enjoyed it. He even brought some home.
Easy to get to and nice atmosphere. I'm usually not a stout guy but it was pretty good. Nice staff and nice seating area. Good food selection as well.
Great place! Excellent beer, amazing food and very friendly staff! I can't wait to try out their new extended patio!
Excellent service, delicious food and lots of variety on tap.
I'm looking forward to your new patio this summer. The beer is rich, no sessions or lagers when I visited. The menu was a great surprise and complimented the tasting tray of beers on tap! Great job!
Waited 10 minutes after ordering drinks, said she had to get a keg changed. No big deal . Asked if we could order pretzel bites, 30 minutes later still no sign of our server or food and somehow 3 tables who got there and ordered after us got full meals before we even got simple pretzel bites . Tracked down our server, she said she would have to check, came back and told us it would still be a couple more minutes .. Clearly she just forgot about us, we paid and left .The beer is delicious and the brewery has a very cool atmosphere, just hope you don't get whoever "served" us .
The service and drinks was great but the burger was so burnt, couldn't bite into it. Plus they had the audacity to remove the burnt part in the bottom bun as if we wouldn't notice. It was done by hands, disgusting. We have been there before, but this time it was disappointing.
What started out as disappointment ended up as the best customer service I have experienced in a few years. We went to Brimstone recently and it was closed due to a staffing emergency( which we didn't know at the time.) I contacted the brewery and expressed my disappointment on their website and was contacted immediately with an apology and an offer to deliver the beer with a discount. In less than 24 hours the beer was delivered right to our door by Jamie. Great service recovery. We will be back.
Try the pumpkin spiced beer
