Overall- disappointing as I've heard great things from this restaurant. To start, I didn't make a reservation for my boyfriend and I, as I didn't think Thursday night would be that busy. When we got there, they immediately told us 'no', which I thought was quite rude. I understand that I didn't have a reservation, but they didn't even give us a wait time. I had to ask, which I then got attitude back- seemed like they really didn't want us to dine there. Finally, they said to come back in 45mins at 8pm, we said no problem! (we weren't in a rush at all). We came back at 8, no one greeted us at the reception area, even though there was a party with waitresses hosting right next to us. Finally we're told to sit at the bar as they prep our table, another 15 mins go by and no one tends to us. We finally sit down and our waitress was very kind and lovely (the nicest employee there by far). We notice that Jake Muzzin and John Tavares from the Leafs are eating, so figured maybe the restaurant was trying to force people away from eating here, or maybe, us being in our mid 20s weren't 'good enough' for the restaurant. We overheard another waiter apologize to his table for not being so attentive because they 'were very busy'. I've seen restaurants busier, but maybe all the employees were star-struck or stressed from that one private event but that doesn't excuse you from tending to the rest of your patrons. Food was mediocre... brushetta was amazing, octopus was great, main course (we both had a type of pasta) wasn't the greatest, I've personally made better- seemed to lack true Italian taste. It was quite bland. Wine list was great, we both had a red Italian wine. Overall, disappointed with how we were treated and the food could have been much better. Most probably won't go back.. will try 'Merlot' across the street next time and spend our money there.

This place is really nice. we had our christmas party @ ViBo. Staff was awesome and super friendly. I asked for appetizers that has no feta after everything arrived and staff accommodated all the requests very quickly. We all really loved and enjoyed the event i know we were super loud don't really know if we disturbed people around us but hey! it was Friday and we all had weekend mode on. And lemme tell yea they have a huge verity of wines, It was an awesome experience being here definitely will recommend and will go back again and again.

I was in Toronto visiting family and I decided to take my boyfriend to my old stomping grounds and thought we’d go to ViBo. I’m so glad we did! The meal was excellent. From the bruschetta to the grilled octopus, salumi board and our entrees- grilled branzino and eggplant Parmesan, everything was so fresh and well prepared. The service was attentive as well. It’s no wonder it was packed on a Saturday night after more than 40 years in business. If you’ve never been or it’s been a while since you were there, go and enjoy!

Had a nice dinner at this local restaurant with a friend during Summerlicious. I ordered the salad, eggplant parmesan and the sticky toffee cake. Everything was delicious and the main course portion was generous and delicious. The service was great and the server very attentive. I would definitely eat here again and recommend it to others. The restaurant has been around for a long time as well which is always a good sign.

Great hospitality. This place really knows how to pay attention to details. My husband and I walked in and he forgot to get coat check, the manager asked if he could take his jacket and when were were leaving his jacket was with mine on the same hanger. Servers were fantastic. I was at the bar for a short while and contemplating between two wines and the bartender immediately brought me both to taste test prior to making my choice. Table sever has good product knowledge, made the birthday girl feel special and was attentive to my husband's water glass once he realized how much he drinks. The food was exactly what you expect from a restaurant of that quality. Portion sizes were perfect if not generous. Timing of apps to main course was very good. Would recommend and I would come back again, even though we are from out of town.

Have been here several times over the last two months (sep/Oct 2021) and thought it appropriate to leave a review. I have had several dishes now and not one dish has disappointed. Nice atmosphere with friendly and sufficient staff to meet the client needs during this difficult time for restaurants being able to sufficiently staff their restaurants. I have also gone solo and sat at the bar for dinner and felt very comfortable doing so. Will continue to enjoy this place.

Yesterday evening my wife and I had the pleasure of dining at ViBo restaurant on Bloor, We were among a group of 12 celebrating a birthday. The food was terrific and the evening was well organized, our server Mirin was wonderful, she wore a smile on her face through the evening and helped make the event special. One couple in our group have been to ViBo before in 1985 on their First Date . Great Food and atmosphere...Enjoy

Went to this restaurant for my anniversary and everything was beyond excellent. From the maitre-d agreeing to change our reservation to a half hour later, to the level of service we received once we were in the restaurant. The host suggested us a great and quiet table to celebrate our anniversary. The service was excellent, fast and friendly. The food was to die for and everything that we ordered was impeccable. We started with the Salumi board, and I had the Ossobucco and my boyfriend has the AAA Canadian Black Angus steak. The Ossobucco and the risotto were both phenomenal and the portion size was so big I had to bring most of it home. My boyfriend really enjoyed his steak dinner and said that it was one of the better steaks that he has had! The waiter even brought us a complimentary dessert at the end of our meal to celebrate our anniversary and to thank us for joining them. Excellent food and service, I would definitely recommend this to a friend and can't wait to be back!

I truly admire how ViBo put their heart, efforts and dedication to every single detail. It could be one of the most pleasant fine dining that I have had in a while in Toronto. We had Caprese salad, Linguine alla Marinara, Tiramisu and Cream Brule. All were top-notch, especially the Caprese and the Cream Brule. Such a gem in the Kingsway.

It was my 10th Anniversary. I went yesterday and booked through Agnes for today. First I was concerned because one of the reviews that said that his Anniversary wasn't special but I wanted to give it a chance as I live very close. They were great to reserve the table I chose yesterday. Jason was the guy looking after us. He really made me and my wife feel that we really own the place by the way he was looking after us. All the staff were friendly and almost all of the stuff wished us a Happy Anniversary when we were leaving. Aside of that, Food was more than delicious, tasty, very fresh. Tried the roasted lamb and Cornish Hen, both were excellent. Also prices were very reasonable when it comes to an elegant restaurant as Vibo. They really made my Anniversary very remarkable. Definitely will come back because of the whole experience. Highly recommended.

Food is normally great....And so is the service. But Service was less than stellar. New staff on the Sunday evening we went...we had reservations..it seemed as though it was his first time serving. Although we were told he had been there 3 months since he started..it was 10 minutes to get water...we had to ask for bread. Which was another 10 minutes. He kept walking around doing other things after he would ask if we wanted water, drinks, mains & dessert & coffee... He finally came to ask for our drink order. We decided to order our meal at the same time since it seemed we would probably have to wait to order when drinks came. Again we waited and finally another wait staff brought them. When the food arrived mine was fine but my partner ordered rack of lamb medium and it came so raw that it was sent back. It came back still quite rare but edible. We ordered coffee & dessert. Our desserts came but coffee was another 10 to 15 minutes. I wanted them at the same time but that didn't happen. Sooo not a great experience...

The staff were courteous , friendly, extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure everyone was taken care of extremely well. Came here with my elderly grandfather & cousins for a nice meal but unfortunately our waiter was insanely creepy. He was a middle aged bald man who was mumbling constantly but for some reason thought it was funny. My poor grandfather couldn't hear a word he was saying. Im not sure if he was an actor who was trying to be funny...but it really rubbed all of us the wrong way. Just be normal dude. Also, we ordered some ice-cream/gelato at the end our meal and it took over 30 minutes to come. We were all a little pissed off by the time we left & I don't think we will return. The food was decent...3.5/5 but service a big 0/5

First I'd like to say that I have never felt inclined to write a bad review online before this experience. Our waiter was simply awful. He made us feel very uncomfortable about not enjoying our calamari to the point where we felt awkward the rest of the dinner (it was bad enough that my girlfriend felt like she should have taken the calamari in the bathroom and thrown it out there). When our waiter was clearing the plate with the calamari, he asked "oh what happened here, you didn't like it?" which I then said "we're just saving space for our other food" (trying to be nice although the calamari was awful) he then said "well then why did you bother ordering it?" and so I said "I normally like calamari but we really didn't like this". He then took out plates without saying anything else and from then on we did not feel comfortable. Additionally, he was was very aggressive with trying to get us to order more food and drinks. We also noticed he was very pushy with the other patrons around us. I cannot recommend this restaurant simply because of this experience and I will never return.

Quite frankly, we were appalled. Especially considering they seemed super thankful to have us expand our group from 2 to 4, on arrival, our server didn’t look too pleased. Maybe it’s because we were a table of BIPOC young adults (ages 26-40, we might add)? Or maybe just because he didn’t think we were “white collar enough”... I’m not sure, but his demeaner towards us just got progressively worse throughout the night. As a group of individuals that knows the industry too well. Having worked in it for nearly our entire careers, the last thing we wanted to do was pull a “Karen”. So we decided to keep it in and stick it out to see if it got better. We ordered a bottle, and not once did he come to refill our glasses. He didn’t do a table touch... when we asked if the buratta came with bread, he pointed at the bread basket with a look of distrust and said, “ya right there.” If that isn’t disrespectful. I don’t know what is. I get it, times are tough. This was the last night before another shutdown... but the last people you should be disrespecting is a table full of guests just looking for a good last dine-in experience. Instead he made it super frustrating. The food, was decent. The calamari was delicious, the burata was kind of dry (didn’t seem fresh), the pasta dishes were okay and the seafood pasta was super fishy (also not fresh) and the short rib was way over cooked. But again, we sucked it up, ordered dessert. The creme brûlée was super watery. Not creamy at all. The chocolate lava cake.. was chocolate cake. With no soft and creamy centre at all. After that, we ordered after dinner cocktails, the espresso martini was superb, the baileys on the rocks... spoiled. Luckily the bartender that came over to serve it to us was excellent and had a great sense of humour. Wanting to replace it but we opted to just get the bill and commented that the server we had was not great and that we wish we had him. He ignored it. Not once did a manager or anyone else come by the table. Despite the terrible service, we still tipped extra generously, on quite the bill... oh wait, but they took off the baileys and chocolate lava cake (that we didn’t drink or eat anyways). How gracious of them... All in all, especially at these times, I hope these comments are used not to reprimand that individual, but to ensure proper service is expected of ALL employees. Especially at these times, last thing people need or want is the stress and disturbance of a disgruntled employee ruining their night. Wishing you much success.

Pretentious and overpriced. My fish was dry and had no side dish like mashed potatoes or anything except some greens - nothing special really. And it only had like 3-4 tiny mussels in it. It felt like they were to greedy to put a bit more stuff on the plate. As if they stole it xD I guess its fine dining for you. Didnt like the atmosphere and the service either. It was just damn cold in there even though we asked to turn down the ac they didnt. Had to relocate. One of the waiter was indeed a "bright personality" so to speak: he would take my plate although i wasnt done with the sauce and I told him about it but he just kept doing what he wanted. He was not "serving", thats for sure LOL I did not feel comfortable with a guy like this there at all, the less interference with my meal the better. Instead he shouldve just turned the ac off, for gods sakes. Not going back there again. So disappointed. Ruined my night. Got out of there still hungry and unsatisfied.

We had some lovely dinners at Vibo over the past while. The food is good and the service has always been great, until this past visit on December 28th which was disastrous and spoke volumes about the restaurant. I will advise you all to NOT go to this restaurant. My husband and I go out frequently and although not professionally trained on wines we know what is good and what is not. We ordered a $160.00 Barolo which was as it turned out just past its prime ... it was acidic and very difficult to swallow. After letting it sit for well over 5 minutes we tried it again and determined it was undrinkable ... this rarely happens and has only happened to us on one other occasion over the past 10 years at various establishments. It was how Vibo handled this that made this so unpleasant. First we were lectured not once but twice at the table that we had no idea what we were talking about ... we invited the manager to have a taste himself ... then they offered to take the bottle away as we said it was completely undrinkable and ordered a very nice Barbaresco. When the bill came both bottles were on and again we were lectured. It did not end there, the front door manager not only insulted us when we were leaving but followed us out onto the sidewalk insulting us. We have lived all over the world, eaten at all types of restaurants from the most luxurious to the most basic and never have I been so angry, insulted and completely disgusted by a restaurant. If you go to Vibo, order the food as it is good, but be prepared that if you order a bottle of wine that happens to be "off" that your experience will be extremely unpleasant. DO NOT GO TO VIBO is something I am telling everyone.

Wonderful food and service! My family went there for my Grandmother's 80's and everything (especially the gnocchi gorgonzola and bruscetta) were delicious. My only complaint was the portions - my father ordered $25 of ravioli and it only came with 4 (albeit large) ones - the rest of us ordered and got a meal, he only got a few bites of food.

What a whirlwind of positivity. We know about Vibo because my parents have been loyal patrons for decades now. As I'm celebrating my third anniversary with my wife, we decided to order from Vibo to celebrate our love . At the start of the evening, we called in to place our order and pick up our order specially for 730. We arrived fifteen minutes early making sure to call in and let front desk know we were waiting. At 747 I had called in to check on things. I learned that our food had been sitting for quite some time. Unfortunately, it wasn't communicated that we were already outside waiting for the drop off. Vibo realized their mistake and comped my entire meal. I ordered a sizable amount of food and was shocked at their generosity and commitment to good service, especially during current covid-19 era. No argument, no discussion, no fuss. Their actions to remedy the situation will make my wife and I lifelong customers. By the way, the food was just to die for: -bruschetta - such savory delicious bites. add more bread! 3? 4 wouldn't kill you, haha -calamari - nice big pieces, very tender, not over cooked -lasagna bolognese - like a home cooked meal, but better than your mama makea -seafood tagliatelle - tasty fresh pasta with lots of shrimp, crab, squid -braised short rib - melt in your mouth beef with a medley of crisp vegetables -Sweet, decadent sticky toffee pudding and creamy, wonderful tiramisu Thanks for making such a great ending to our third anniversary. A memorable experience I'll never forget.

The food here was amazing. I would highly recommend the Bruschetta, Pollo Rosemarino and the Veal Piccata. The ambiance was amazing and so was the pianist in the background. Despite how nice the servers were, our wait times to order food was a tad long for our liking. Other than that, this is s great place for Italian food.

We enjoy ViBo often and we love it. it is sassy, it is classy, it is perfect. Grilled calamari is to die for, fresh and simply divine. Our Steak and Lamb dishes were cooked to perfection and Linguine Alfredo prepared for take-out was outstanding. Creme Brule was just right, Semi Freddo melt-in-your-mouth goodness and Amarena cheesecake simply delish! Staff is superb and we love how Greg took care of our needs in a very professional, quiet, unassuming way. Their service members are well organised , team oriented and great tribute to a strong leadership that is behind it all. Such outstanding service is only possible with all on board, and at ViBo - they sure are. Clear goals , awareness of same and love of their profession is undoubtedly what produces nice atmosphere, delicious dishes and friendly, knowledgeable and capable an "extra mile" staff. Make a reservation already and enjoy!

Good was...ok not great. Pasta was undercooked and had bones from the shredded meat. The service was aweful. There was absolutely no attention to detail. We were never asked about our meal by our server...I had to point the bone the shredded meat in my pasta to another. My water glasses sat empty for most of the meal. We were asked if we wanted bread but then had to ask for it after our appetizers came. Server was quite unfriendly and never around. The ONLY time she was primpt is when we asked for the bill.

I took my aunt and godmother to lunch on Wednesday. Mirin took care of us too. Our meals were delicious. I had a wonderful meal .... the grilled branzino with grilled vegetables. So flavourful. The apple pecan salad was delicate and refreshing. It was a comfortable setting with perfect natural lighting. We sat at a round table (in front of the friar wall mural) and enjoyed this location.

However, when we went for Winterlicious this past weekend we waited over 90 MINUTES between our appetizers and main course. I have been to Vibo many times, for business, for family and friends dinner and I have to say it is the best Italian/Mediterranean restaurant in south/central Etobicoke. Whether you're two or ten, you get attention (unlike some others where large groups get the attention). Our last time there was just on the long weekend and the restaurant was full for dinner and we were a table of three (we had reservations). Our server, Blake, was outstanding with a great sense of humour, knowledge of the wine (he suggested a great one for us as we don't like oaky wines) and of the menu as well. All three of us had appetizers and ate every bite: daily soup, salad special and my standard Buffalo Caprese and all were delicious..

Went to Vibo many times, for parties with my family and relatives for lunches and dinners. The overall foods are excellent delicious I enjoyed to eat them. Customer services are good such as friendly and polite staffs. I'm concerned about lack of accessible includes no automatic entrance doors, etc. Parking fee includes. Close to Royal York subway station in less than 100 - 150 metres in walking distance.

Went during Winterlicious and loved it! The atmosphere is very well thought out - real fireplace, lots of lighting, stain glass art on the ceiling. The service was a little slow, but it was relatively busy, and the restaurant seemed to fill up all at once (as a past server I know what it is like to have all your tables come at the same time!). We each ordered something different so we could try a bit of everything. I got the polenta fries (AMAZING!), my boyfriend got the prosciutto stuffed meatball (very good, sad there was only one), and his mother got the beet salad (very fresh and the pears added a nice touch). For our mains I got the Cheese And Mushroom Agnolloti With Black Truffle Cream Sauce.... let me tell you... this was one of the most delicious pastas I have ever had... creamy, but not super heavy.... mushroomy so you didn't miss the meat.... a little nutty... words can't describe how sad I was when my plate was empty.. I even used the table bread to mop up the rest of the sauce! My boyfriend got the pork tenderloin and his mother got the veal. Both were also very good meals, and they gave you lots of green vegetables which I always appreciate. For dessert we got one of each (the brownie, sticky toffee, and blood orange sorbetto). All were good, however I am not a huge fan of very sweet, chocolately desserts so they weren't my favourite part of the meal! I would definitely go back to this restaurant!

We went there for a dinner date. We booked ahead on line. Once we arrived we were seated right away. The wine we ordered was very good - Souvingon Blanc from New Zealand. However our food order got mixed up and we had to wait extra long time. The waiter was apologetic, but nothing was done about it. A complimentary glass of wine or dessert would have been much appreciated. The food when it finally arrived was very good. The ambiance was great. I would go back, but allow plenty of time.

Went here last night for Valentine’s Day with the wife. Even though they only had a select menu for yesterday’s occasion we managed to find something we both would enjoy. Calamari was great not chewy at all fantastic! Marsala veal was amazing and the deserts were top notch! Food Portions also was very filling. Could not move after our three course dinner. Highly recommend definitely will go back to try there regular menu!!!

A board of groups with goat cheese is worth trying to start with delicious eggplant bruschetas. Huge and very delicious tiramisu. (Original) O atendimento merece um registro a parte pois é muito cordial, educado e principalmente paciente. O calamari (lula) é muito bom, uma delícia. É o primeiro calamari que como que não é/estava borrachudo. A carne angus beaf aaa ao ponto muito bom mesmo a cozinha sendo típico italiana. Uma tábua de grupos com queijo de cabra vale experimentar para começar juntamente com deliciosas bruschetas deberinjela. Tiramisu enorme e muito delicioso.

Meh - it's all right, went for the rabbit stew which was the chef's recommendation and of course sold out. Had the rack of lamb instead - NZ fresh frozen and tough, it was far away form the best lamb I've ever had. P.E.I mussels were okay, the "Classic Linguine Vongole" was made from dried pasta and pretty bland and paramsean cheese offering was the dried powdered version (blah). Fish cake special appey was lifeless and bland. Wine selection was good and I noticed the prices are more sane they they once where. Service was slow but good. 2 and 1/2 stars.
