So nice to eat sushi and Maki again
They could improve their menu by showing the quantities for sushi and more descriptions since was a little confusing at first. We also kept receiving food we didn’t order. The portions were way too small and there was only two options for dessert: vanilla and chocolate ice cream. For the price of an all you can eat I expected more options. Other than that, sushi was good but some of the main dishes like the chicken in the pad thai wasn’t good and the texture was off.
Delicious food here. Always. Staff as always friendly.
Great food great service nice setting, the pricing is what you'd expect the sashimi is fresher than the other all you can eat places I've been in the area the calamari is cooked perfectly
Nice ambience, friendly staff, tasty cuisine, convenient location, though food portions could be improved for better price-to-value.
The Spoon & Fork is an ‘All You Can Taste’ Japanese, Thai & Pasta restaurant They also have an à la carte lunch and dinner menu, just in case you don’t want the ‘All you can Taste’ option. I went to the Spoon & Fork restaurant on Trafalgar first and I really liked it. I also tried the Spoon & Fork Plus around the corner on Dundas and Neyagawa and it was great also… But I like the one on Trafalgar – faster service. But hey, go to either one because they both have great food and friendly service.
Great service and food is delicious.
Very polite and attentive servers, food was very tasty and quite affordable.
Used to be one of our favourite spots to go to so we decided to revisit for a girls night as it had been a while since we’ve been. Worst experience ever! We made reservations for 8 and still had to wait a half an hour for our table and 15 minutes to even be noticed by someone. Finally when we were served and seated, service was terrible. I get that it was busy and can be understanding but we weren’t even checked on during our meal. The sushi looked inedible, we barely touched it. They forgot the main part of our order and we sat and waited 20 mins without food and without someone even coming over to check on us. The waitress brought us something we didn’t even order so when we made this known, she argued with us over it. All in all very disappointed and won’t be returning to our once favourite restaurant.
Great place for all you can eat Thai food. Dishes presented nicely. Lots of selection. Very good value.
Meal type
Amazing flavors! Quick service and polite staff. The all you can taste menu is great! Good size portions great for sharing! Well priced for quality of food.
Used to be our favorite sushi for the family. Unfortunately, the quality of the food went down after the new management. The food is not fresh anymore. We rarely go there now.
Went there for lunch with a few friends and their menu was extremely limited even more so with their regular lunch menu. Service was incredibly slow and items we ordered repeatedly never arrived only to find out it wasn't available. On top of that they stopped offering free refills and packed their soft drinks to the brim with ice. Overall don't feel it was worth the price for the selection being offered and the options that were available.
The food was delicious!! My favorite part was the puffy coconut shrimp, but the service was terrible! So slow, if your in a hurry avoid spoon and fork. But, if you have the hour to wait for a serving spoon and fork is for you.
This eatery provides you Japanese and Thai cousins. One can order limitless food, all freshly cooked, as per menu. They serve you in limited quantities so that you can eat as per your appetite with a lot of varieties. The ambience is very good and looks very beautiful. Looked very popular amongst the people. The service is efficient and smart.
This is such a worst restaurant ever. The staffs seem like they don't want to serve you especially Asian. Gotta wait for almost half an hour for foods. ONE MORE THING: you guys have to order twice for 1 order, if not they will cut it off on the computer ( I chose All you can eat option). Expensive food, bad service, mandatory tips. So what are we wasting money for? Trust me if you want to spend money to eat in the good restaurant, this is not the right place for you.
Food is just OK, and service is terrible. The waiter named Hung is sooo ignorant and low life, and doesn’t belong in any food service institution.
0/5 stars if I could. Waited 5 minutes to be acknowledged by staff . The lunch menu is confusing to say the least. When we did order, the apps came out 2 mins later (which to me is concerning). I am all about fast service but you could tell the food had been sitting. Maki rolls were disappointing, I think I could find better sushi at loblaws. Rice didn't taste fresh, hot and sour soup was so unappetizing to look at( they didn't have any miso soup) i took one bite and nope. Not for me. No one came to check on us. Each time we wanted assistance we had to flag one of the waitresses down, which I hate doing because I know staff at restaurants work hard. Not in this case. Overall extremely disappointing. Would not recommend to anyone. 20 minutes after we left I got sick. Stay away.
Been here many times. But the service has taken a beating lately. We were greeted by a host that spoke little English and when I told him about our reservation, he said okay and took off. We never saw him again. I complained to a waitress and she finally sat us down. The food is still okay but they have cut the serving sizes. For example one order of tempura or coconut shrimp comes with just one shrimp. Oh...and the waitress forgot to bring our steamed rice altogether. Anyhow my wife still insisted on giving a at least a 10% tip, so I did.
Great variety.
Great place. Cultural homogenization is what you experience here. You can have Japanese sushi and Korean kimbup on the same plate.
Great service and catering menu for takeout.
Excellent place to eat. No complaints! The waiters were respectful and quick. Service was A1! I would definitely come back here to eat again. Lovely atmosphere and the food was amazing.
I have visited several times and quality of service and food had been decreasing. Staff seems to be talking at you rather then provide a service. Asking for water seems to be a task as the wait staff zoom by before you can ask. Food came out cold and dishes we ordered forgotten about. I completely understand when you are busy but it shouldn't happen on every visit. I would still recommend their crispy beef or Penang shrimp.
Finally got out for the first time after long stay at home orders to celebrate my nine year old sons birthday- my first time at this place and my family got food poisoning. Do not recommend. Save your money and save your health.
Loved it. Great quality and flavors. Great concept
Consistently good. Been here a few times and the food is always good. Tried and tested.
My husband and I celebrated Valentine's Day here, and the food was so great! Their all you can eat menu serves a variety of Asian food (Japanese-Thai fusion) which is affordable. The staff are friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back!
Food quality is OK but not excellent compared with Spoon & Fork Plus location . Preferred to spoon & Fork Plus location rather than this location.
All plates taste delicious and the service is excellent. I will go there again.
Excellent food including sashimi at lunch which was a treat. Service was fairly good but I've had better. Overall it was a good dining experience.
Two adults for 90+dollars and nothing special but bad service. A terrible experience! When we sit down, the waiter asked what we would like to drink. We said just hot tea please. Then they give us two pots of hot tea and didn’t tell us this need extra pay! But when we pay for our bill, they told us two pots of tea for extra 6 dollars! Cheaters and liars! Anyway, If we have to order hot tea with extra pay, we just need to order one pot!!! Shame on you!
Good food and amazing prices.
Great Thai and Japanese all you can eat (or order from menu) restaurant in a very nice contemporary atmosphere. Outdoor patio seating available. Food is ordered and brought to the table. Lots of free parking. Close to highway.
Absolutely outstanding. My fiancé and I just had lunch here we are actually still in the restaurant but felt compelled to leave a review because the experience has been so wonderful. We love AYCE places and I already had one that was a favorite but this one has now replaced it. Almost every single item we had was not just good, but outstandingly delicious. We will absolutely be here again, and although it has a little bit on the pricey side it and said being a very good value considered
Called to place an order for pick up since I was advised that they provide 15% off when you order over the phone (previously ordered pick up through Skip and the hostess told me not to). Came in only to wait about 15 minutes for someone to bring out my food as there was no one at the front. While I was waiting inside I called their work phone 2 times so that someone notices me, it rang across the whole restraint and no one bothered to pick it up. As I was about to leave, I decided to ring their phone again and oh finally someone came from the kitchen. Ended up charging me the same price as I paid through SKIPTHEDISHES. Wow :)
Order dinner thru uber eats. Had the party tray assorted sushi & sashimi, spicy tuna roll, fried rice, spicy salmon sushi. The food quality was good, the wasabi was spicy. Good quality sushi for takeout from an ayce place. Menu from the trafalgar location have more items to choose from. Overall very good quality for takeout sushi.
Service
Worst place ever. The food is terrible. Worst all you can eat. Please don't waste your money there. The food is so sweet especially the Thai. The quality is terrible and the service just as bad. When we complained about the sweetness and hair in our food the server (perhaps the manager since she had a green shirt on) gave us attitude and just took the plates off the table and rolled her eyes. We had toato for the appetizers many times and it at the end. Please don't waste ur money here.
Service was very good - food was fresh and well prepared. They offer all you can eat - but I ordered four items off the menu which worked perfect. 5 star ???? Highly Recommend
Avoid at all cost. The food is tasteless and the staff is terrible. Waited for 20 mins for a waiter just to order and when the food arrived it was bland and oily.
Love this place , service and food are excellent!!
Bad service. Bad attitude. Bad food. Bad service - Throw dishes on a table. No drink for 30 minute after started eating. I assume they have to ask for a dessert (All you can eat) but just begging for tips. Bad attitude - Begging for tips. No service at all. Only welcomes White People (no offence). They think it's easy to target white people because they don't know much about Asian food. Bad food - I found plastic piece on my sahimi plate which I've told them but ignored lol what kind of restaurant does this to customer? Food was okay (only Thai food) but the other food was dirty as hell and smelly. Only Salmon seems good quality (but I found plastic piece on Salmon sahimi lol) Just DON'T EAT HERE!!! I never comment on restaurant in my life, but I want you guys to know this place is garbage in total.
Always decent food, very quick service which makes me wonder about how much of it is freshly made vs prepared in advance. The sushi and sashimi quality is actually decent for an all you can eat lunch. The fried items tend to have way too much breading, regardless of type. This included the coconut shrimp even, which was mostly breading and very little inside.
Due to Covid restrictions, you need a reservation to dine-in, no walk-ins. And lunch price went up to $30.99. Really wanted to eat here but they should have updated their website or on Google about the restrictions and increase price.
This was a really disappointing lunch for me. The staff was extremely rude in many ways. I was ignored, I was brought dirty and use plates and I was not treated with courtesy. Besides that it is extremely overpriced, and the food was mediocre at best. Some of the items came out way below my expectations. ( tasted like they've been cooked that morning.) The reason it gets a 2 is because the green curry was delicious dish but that was the only redeeming point. Overall I was really disappointed because I had heard such good things about this place.
Tldr: spent 2 hours and $130 to go to McDonald's. Food: Apps were good, grill was decent, sushi was comparable to Loblaws, did not order noodles. Experience: - Order first round, drinks, apps and salad. Food comes quickly (escargot was a bit slower but hot). -Order second round, 1 more app and couple items. Bit slower and missing 1 item. -Order 3rd, sushi rolls. Wait 10 minutes and no food. Spend 15 minutes waiving down our waitress as she zooms by, 3rd time is the charm. She apologizes and we get our rolls. - Looking to order final items and dessert as we've been here awhile now. Give up on food after 20 minutes. After another 15 minutes (35 minutes since our rolls) somebody in our group leaves the table to go find the waitress. Get our bills that come out to just over $130, pay and head to Mcdonalds. Location was very busy but lots of people waiting around for service. This place needs to hire servers badly.
Decent all you can eat sushi with some random SE Asian dishes. I personally won't go back but everyone else thought it was good.....
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE. We ordered our food for New Years Eve 24 hours before (Dec. 30th) to pick up at 6 p.m. on New Years Eve. We were called twice today (Dec. 31) to confirm our order. My son has been in line trying to pick up since 6 p.m. I have called 4 times and they are not answering. It is now 7:50 and he just got the food. If I wanted to eat my food cold and 2 hours old, I could have picked it up at 4 and at least been eating by 6. THIS IS SO UNACCEPTABLE. I understand there are difficulties with Covid, however if they cannot process these orders then they should NOT accept them. SO DISSAPOINTED!!!! This makes it very difficult in trying to support a local business. I will not be returning to this restaurant. I AM SO DISGUSTED!!!
i went to this place more than 5 times already. Always enjoy eating here. The atmosphere is nice and the owner take care of custumer very well. Will come back here again .
If you want fast and delicious service. This is the place to go. My friends and I have samples many all you can eats across Toronto and the GTA. This easily ranks in the top 3.
Not worth it ???????? we just came from there we order some appetizers and soup beside main course totally disgusting and the last sushi rice was not cooked well and fried stuff are so oily . Not gonna visit anymore . We didn’t stay less than an hour . It was good vibes with the food more than years 5 years ago .
If I could rate Spoon and Fork ZERO, I would! This was the worst customer service I have ever received. I spent $175 for four people to eat only to be treated like garbage. My experience yesterday: We asked for refills for drinks, and the waitress “assumed” we didn’t know refills were NOT free so she just walked away from our table, I had to get her attention and tell her to bring the drinks to our table and that we were aware of the prices. HALF the food we ordered was incorrect. They kept bringing the wrong food to the table. Avoid eating here if you can, the waitresses are rude and disrespectful. The management stands by their staff regardless of how they make you feel as a PAYING PATRON. SAVE YOUR SUSHI CRAVINGS FOR SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
Food is delicious. Thats about it becuse the service is painfully slow. Each order takes progressively longer and last order took 25 mins for 1 plate.
Great value and sashimi even at the lunch menu
They have an all you can eat menu
My husband and I had the all you can eat buffet lunch here in early June 2017. The restaurant is beautifully decorated but we were very disappointed with the quality of food. The chicken was of a very cheap quality, and overall we thought it was more of a fast food place than a nice, sit down restaurant. We tried both the Bangkok Street Style Pad ¬Thai and the Pad Thai, and were disappointed with both. The Bangkok was very vinegary and the Pad Thai had this very sweet over-sauced taste. Maybe the quality of the food would be better for dinner, but I do not see us giving Spoon and Fork a second chance.
Came here about a month and a half ago, and found a f***ing pubic hair in one of my dishes. Things were going decently up until that point. Honestly, utterly disgusted and disappointed in a place that has a lot of potential.
No comment. Highly not recommend!!! It was "new" soup!!!
Great food and atmosphere. I like the thai and sushi options. Chicken and beef satays are my favorite. And I also love the mango salad
Food is amazing. Little pricy for my liking and usual a line. But it's great for semi fancy get togethers
Great food and a wide variety on their menu. Service was relaxed and friendly.
Went here for dinner tonight. The lady who served us was not friendly at all. She did not smile once through out our entire time there. We didn't get her name but she had a pony tail. At one point a man with white glasses was taking our orders for the all you can eat menu and he was smiling and friendly and so pleasant, we wished we had him as our server and that our tip could have went to him. Secondly, we found the meat, specifically the chicken and the beef, to be slimy, rubbery, and not of good quality. We couldn't even eat it which was disappointing, because we really wanted to have the Thai flavoured dishes. This is something that definitely needs to be improved. Despite these two things, there were some dishes on the menu we loved including the Coconut Shrimp, Crispy Beef & Pad Thai!! Would definitely recommend these dishes.
Friendly staff and reasonable pricing. I love Sashimi and its the only place that I know off that offers Sashimi at lunch for all you can eat. Amazing
Could not eat poor service kept bringing wrong food asked for chop sticks waited for a while when I asked again he just picked them from the the part you put in your mouth I hope his hands are clean but I couldn't use them
Probably the best Thai food in the GTA, amazing quality, service and food. I would highly recommend all of their locations.
Good food but based on busy it is, thing can seem slow or disorganized, but its just the cost of being popular imho
Great food, great service every time. Would recommend it to all my family and friends. Will definitely visit again.
At first I would like to thank staff for service,it was very good. As for food,I feel bad for coming all the way here. While seated and served food,I felt the smell of spoiled fish. I thought it’s just me,but at some point my husband just left the table saying that he cannot handle the smell and it makes him sick. I tried to smell every single item, but it was sushi maki with shrimp and salmon. Sashimi salmon were good, beef was rare and smelled bad, like baad. I’m not coming back, and don’t feel happy about this experience. I do not recommend this place.
FOOD WAS JUST OK. I felt everything was saturated with soy sauce. I could not taste the difference between chicken with basil and chicken with cashews. My favorite was fried shrimps with coconut.
Dinner

Waiter was super friendly! Food came fast.
Food was ok nothing special... and it's soo freaking cold in their. Was not comfortable eating
Very poor seevice. Not helpful and instead of allowing you to take extra food leftover home they throw it out...very rude anout it too. They should assist you so you don't order too much....but no...they bring all this food to you and when you want to takw rhe left overs home they throw it out....shameful policy....I would have given the extra food to the homeless...but they would rather throw it out
Great food, loved the all you can eat sashimi for lunch. Pad Thai is decent but the Thai curry is great.
So happy they are open for dine in again!
Excellent quality and choice. All you can eat at a decent price and they serve you at your table. What are you waiting for?
This is one of the best local restaurants for all you can eat Asian cuisine. It's nice, clean, has a fine dining feel without the pretense or formality. The food is consistently good and the service is friendly and efficient. It can be long wait if you don't have reservations, but worth the wait if you're choosing between this place or the Mandarin. Great experience every time. A good go to local spot.
Ford was great as usual. Hot and fresh
Excellent food, good service and great value!
A very good level all you can eat sushi restaurant. Fast service and actually in our opinion the best rolls and sushi of that type of restaurant in Halton region. Everything is fresh and tasty.
the food we had here on my birthday was absolutely amazing i would def tell friends and family to go here for dinner as i wad very satisfied with the meal.
Good spot for all you can eat sushi. Location is clean, service is fast, almost too fast. Portions could be bigger. I've dined at other all you can eats before and they provide a new more pieces for each menu item. Felt very rushed. Otherwise, decent and i would go back.
I came here with my family. This place is used to be very good and popular but not any more. I found the food quality is not as fresh and not many choices. We love sashimi but we only order 1 dish because we found they are not tasty. The server was nice since she keep asking us if we want anything else. We finished 95% of the food and left few sashimi on the plate but one of the server said we need to finish 100% otherwise they will charge for the food left over. I found it’s so funny since we didn’t order a lot and we try to eat all. But I told her that the food is not fresh, we don’t want to over eat and get sick when we get home. Anyhow, they even call the manager to come out to explain about the food cost is very expensive so they try to enforce the policy to all customers. We didn’t want to argue in front of our parents and our kids so me and my brother just split all the food left over to make them happy. Hahaha, we even give tips after all the trouble. We are not so smart. Are we coming back? FOR SURE NO WAY. We have many sushi restaurant in Toronto to chose from. TO MANAGEMENT: please be flexible and the customers are still the one who pay the bills, so make them happy instead of pissing them off. By the way, I hate to give bad review since most of my review is 5*. But in your case I want to share my experience so that you guys can improve and get better.
Great spot for take out or ayce even, prices are reasonable and food tastes superb.
Spoon & Fork is a good place to go when you’re looking for quality all you can eat sushi. With their wide range of food you really can get your craving while also filling your hunger. Only reason I don’t give them 5 stars is that for dinner service the food was coming very slowly
One of the best all you can eat restaurants in the GTA! The Sushi is great and their overall service is top notch. The Manager at this location is exceptional and very friendly. Highly recommended!
All you can eat freshly made sushi brought to your table at a reasonable price. What can be better?
Great selection of food, and great service! Our server's name was Lee. She was super polite, and accommodating. Will definately revisit this location of Spoon & Fork.
We showed up there today with a big group for lunch. The staff were excellent, the manager was on point. The food was delicious every time we hit the send button. Will definitely go again.
Pretty good sushi, but slow to get out since of the orders. Sushi is good, but chef-manship is lacking in the artisanal skill of making the sushi, meaning simply that the sushi falls apart easily and a bit sloppy at times; but I get that it's all-you-can-eat and they have to be fast. Problem is that some orders were very slow to come out. That's why I'm not the greatest fan of all-you-can-eat sushi. This one is better than most. You will enjoy it, as long as you know what to expect.
A friend of mine suggested this place and without a lie - it was one of the best sushi I've ever tried in my life! Super-friendly stuff is a great plus. I've fount this restaurant in a cozy stile and it was a perfect harmony of enjoyment both for my eyes and my stomach. I would visit it again and definitely recommend it for anyone! Thank you guys, keep it up!
The restaurant is very dirty and unpleasant. Staff is not kind too
Good selection of items. Sushi was ok, but I enjoyed the wide selection of Thai dishes on the menu. The "special dinner menu" fish and lobster tacos were winners too. Soft serve ice cream dessert was a treat. A bit pricy I think for weekday dinner AYCE, but I'd say the available choices factored into that. Service was generally good, water was topped up frequently and we were checked in often. This fell off after another large party arrived, which makes me wonder if they were a bit understaffed that evening (maybe not unexpected in today's environment). Didn't get one of my items even after a few reminders, but that's not uncommon for AYCE I find.
Best sushi place in Oakville ????????Delicious and beautiful presentation for take out orders and great customer service.
The Spoon and Fork chain has been my favorite place to get sushi for years. However, I recently had my first visit to this location. The service was AMAZING, and so was the food. Definitely the best sushi experience I have had in a long time. Drove 1+ hours to get here and was well worth the drive.
I've been to a lot of sushi places, and Spoon and Fork is still the best. The customer service is great and the prices are reasonable. We love getting the green dragon roll, spicy salmon roll, rainbow roll, peanut chicken, green curry, garlic bok choy... basically everything is yummy!
Ordered a Sushi platter to go for a Christmas potluck. It was very reasonably priced and ready within 15 minutes. Will definitely be ordering again for future functions.
There's no Nam Prik at this Thai fusion but Nam is definitely a prick. He accused me of being a trick aswel said he couldn't treat me like royalty all because my rainbow roll was decorated with rancid fish. I have been coming here for a year spreading the word and bring people in along the way. There are only a couple of servers who deserve a tip. The manager Nam doesn't believe in any form of customer service. I had asked him if he cared If I came back he said "it does not matter to me" . I complain about some funky fish , never had a problem with the food any other time. Unfortunately the game is this.. customer goes and spends good honest money for good honest food. You end up serving the customer rancid food, let alone fish.. you lose. . you act accordingly. and solve the problem, He just looked at me like I had 3 heads and said "ok" turned around leaving the plate in front of me. According to Nam his answer to all is ice cream. .. Ice cream ...? Then The manager continues to accuse me of being a trick? Ah yes I forgot I was the one who put the rotten fish on my plate .. I am just upset to have spent money on people like this . No room for people like this in the industry. Not only did the fish ruin my appetite, the service was even more spoiled
Located on the Queensway, a 20 minute bus ride from Keele Station on the 80 bus—according to Google it should have taken 35 minutes but it was much quicker (no traffic and the driver did not stop at all stops). Spoon and Fork was situated right next to Mandarin and very close to a Japanese AYCE. Dinner event was an intimate dinner with friends who were leaving Canada for good at the end of the month—a solemn event but nice and cozy. The menu wasn’t crazy extensive yet there were more than enough choices. $30 allowed you access to the appetizers, sushi, sashimi, handrolls, grilled foods, foods from the wok, noodles, rice dishes and soft serve ice cream for dessert (which was very good, choices were vanilla, chocolate and twists). Noted items on the sashimi list: Unagi was an option which you rarely see. My favourites Ika (squid) and Tako (octopus) were also available. The egg was surprisingly quite good—salmon was nice but nothing extraordinaire. Noted appetizer was the escargots—they were quite good, could use a bit more garlic but good nonetheless. Agadashi Tofu was done very well. Friends commended the crispy beef and we all enjoyed the calamari. The bok choy and garlic and the Chinese broccoli dishes were sized well for one person and good as well, a bit salty but decent. Friends loved the teriyaki beef which looked great, a bit pink on the inside suggest texture was not over cooked and chewy. Kalbi on the other hand was too fatty and chewy. The pad see ew was not great. I wouldn’t recommend that. However, all noodles you were given a choice of: beef, chicken, shrimp or vegetables. All in all, choices were good and fulfilling. The Rolls selection has over 20 options which were great however, each came with 8 pieces and would only work for groups that can share the rolls. It was very busy and recommended is to make reservations unless queuing is your thing ???????? I would definitely come back and try out the rolls!
This is a great place to eat for lunch. Staff are friendly, helpful, and fun. The decor is modern, the atmosphere is casual, and the food is very yum.
Dine in
Delicious Asian food. Highly recommend the maki rolls and the thai red curries. The all you can taste menu gives you a great selection and allows you to get all the classic thai dishes everyone loves.
The food is always delicious sometimes the service is lacking why seat someone at a table opposite the garbage bins when there are many other places to sit
So nice to be back at Spoon & Fork, one of my faves
Last Saturday I hosted a party there for my baby full month celebration. They messed up the time and the number of guests. They blamed each other for the mistakes. The service was bad and slow because not enough staff working that day. My guests left the restaurant unhappy, disappointed and hungry. The worst experience ever due to bad management. Never come back again.
We went to celebrate our daughter’s birthday here. The staff were not welcoming at all. The first thing they told was that we don’t have much time and it’s better for us to come later. We came out without eating. Never again.
The food and service here is always great. The take out prices are always reasonable and I like that they keep precious …
Best Sushi in Halton Region. My wife and her family LOVE sushi, and this is the only place they all agree on. For an all-you-can-eat table service restaurant, the quality is top-notch. The staff is prompt and friendly, and there are plenty of options for non-sushi lovers and vegetarians.
Good food for the price BUT Terrible Service, 1. the waiter stepped on my shoe without an apology 2. Gave me a dirty fork after asking to change an already dirtied fork 3. After asking why is the ice cream taking so long, gave me a half melted ice cream. (pretty sure they forgot about it as it was ready waiting for the waiter to give it to us? but still... they should at least see that the ice cream is already half melted and should change one...) 4. overall the waiters there are okay to good attitude but the older waiter with glasses on him has a really rough attitude every time...
Ordered take out for dinner. I got the chicken pad se-ew. It was horrible. It had absolutely no taste, probably because it was lacking sauce. But worse than that, I found a hair in my meal. I will not visit this location again. I regularly visit Spoon and Fork Plus on Neyagawa and they do not disappoint.
The quality of the food is terrible, we really had a bad experience here and will never go back.
Sooooo yummy! This place has great service with even better food.
Great service. Great food. Great music. Can't complain about this place. It's great for couples and families. Would come back again!
It’s a nice place to try different Asian foods when you get the buffet option for about $30. The service is a bit slow, I’m sure it’s paced that way, but the food is good. It’s a good place for a big birthday party with friends. Don’t forget to like my review below!
The food is always good. I only had one thing I did not like and that was a personal preference regarding the spices. The staff is super friendly and we were well taken care of. Our table was always cleared promptly and or water refilled. The only issue was with our both on the top level. The AC blasted us with super cold air. I'll avoid that booth in the future. But it was a heatwave so overall the AC had to be on full!
Interior design? ✅ Table aesthetic? ✅ Speedy dinner service? ✅ Food quality? ✅ And it's all you can eat??? ✅✅ Let the photos speak for themselves. Fantastic place!
A different kind of All you can eat. A fusion of Asian (Thai) and Japanese cuisine. It is not a buffet, but they give you a menu, and you can order any item from the menu as many as you want and as often as you want to your heart's content. Sushi, sashimi, many kinds of appetizer, noodles, fried rice, and main dishes. They come in small portions, so you can order and taste many items without being over stuffed. The best thing is to come in a group and share different dishes. One drawback is that they only serve ice cream for dessert. You can order different kind of flavors, but mango ice cream came as vanilla topped with mango sauce, strawberry ice cream was vanilla topped with strawberry sauce. Not the real flavors. Too bad. They can do better than that.
Most of everything we tried was decent, not really spectacular though
Ordered a mixed sushi platter on Sat for pickup at 3:00pm on Sun. The order was not ready at all due to a mix up. However, the manager got involved and the order was prepared in 6 minutes, and was delicious as usual.
The food and service were wonderful, plus it's very affordable. Louis, my server, was extremely attentive! Well done to all!
Love coming hear its awalys a great experience. Food is cooked well and service is always great. Great selection for the all you can eat menu.
Should've turned around when i saw the dead mice out front. If they didnt forget orders we made they brought a completely different result each time you ordered it. Actually charged for a drink we couldnt even finish because a fly landed in it. Worst 100$ dinner ive ever had.
So good for the price and for an all you can eat restaurant
Went to Spoon & Fork for my birthday celebration. Such great food, atmosphere, and service! Will be going back again for sure!
Stellar service, delicious food. Everything you want. Truly treated like family here.
Very fresh fish! In addition they have Thai food and Chinese food, they serve small amount each time, which is nice, you can try variety of food. Love the Salmon sashimi, good quality food, and quick services. BTW, i checked menu before I went, under the sashimi they state "Choice of either 5 or 8 kinds of Sushi per order" I though I only can have 5-8 kinds sushi then that's it. Actually they means you need to order more than 5 pieces per round. Which means eat as much as you can of Sushi/Sashimi. Also they offer ice cream, just ask the server :) ice cream is not on the menu.
Service is super slow. Took us an hour and a half and to get the spicy salmon rolls.. and in general dishes take 20 min to come out. Quality is sub par. The seaweed on the hand rolls came out soggy. The queensway location is way better.
By far my favorite restaurant when it comes to all you can eat sushi. It’s very delicious and the service is excellent. I have been to several sushi places but Spoon & Fork is by far the best one! @zainah.mb on Instagram if you would like me to review your restaurant and share my experience ❤️
Not good at all. Went there for a special celebration ( Anniversary). We chose to go with the all you can eat menu. To start with, the drink arrived after the appetizers. The flow of dishes was very unpredictable and haphazard. Sometimes they were too fast. Other times the wait was like forever. Finally when it was time for dessert, that we were waiting for, they said they ran out of the ice cream that was included in the all you can eat menu. But they were ok to bring us desserts that we had to pay extra for. So we ordered for those paid for desserts and guess what they brought the desserts first and then the shrimp and steam rice after. Looool Not a good experience at all. ( But our server was nice)
Great experience, I loved it the food and the ice cream best ever.
Staff at this location are a lot more friendlier than the Dundas/Newagawa location. We probably to to this location 6-10 times year and enjoy each visit. Great selections for AYCT menu. Quality of sushi isn't the greatest but you get what you pay for.
Prices shot up a little due to COVID. But besides that, you’ll get a good and filling meal after eating here.
Excellent food, friendly staff. Can't ask for more!
I'm not usually a big fan of all you can eat. But I will make an exception with the Spoon & Fork. The big reason is the food. It's a great place to dine. First of all it's not set up like a buffet. Wait staff come and take your order from their large menu and your order is brought to you like most restaurants. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant is tastefully done. The washrooms are well kept and there is plenty of parking. The menu has a lot of variety. It's great place to entertain friends
Sushi look stale Don't get stuck in a corner because you won't get served Even when they take your order they'll bring you something completely different. There are much better alternatives in the area, better go there.
Food is delicious and serve was very helpful with our choices
Really delicious food, and very nice staff! Always made sure to check in and see how our table was doing with the All-You-Can-Eat.
Always fresh and delicious
Food is served quick and with a smile. My children like the all-you-can-eat so they can try lots of different and new things. Server made great suggestions for children and conscious to ask about allergies (none here - but good to know they are well trained) Such a huge variety there is definately something for everyone.
I ordered several times, and now I just figure out, they always provide rices to instead of salad or miso soup, I just ordered one party tray, how can I have four rices? And how can I finish them all? Excuse me! I satisfied with my first order, but rest of them are like to fool customers by using their leftover rices without any explanation or notice. Won’t order again!!!
Nice spot, hard to find all you can eat sushi that's worthwhile, but this place is. Their sushi and maki rolls were fresh, and lots of non sushi options for those picky eaters. Went on a Saturday evening, with a reservation -- and the location was packed, so definitely recommend a reservation. Modern look and feel, and a bustling atmosphere. Only complaint was the lack of desert options (soft serve chocolate or vanilla). Ordered their sushi, maki rolls, sashimi (really good salmon sashimi), and a bunch of cooked plates.
I was very disappointed in the service. Very slow and the servers did not seem to care whether they got everyone's orders at the same time or not. I was also disappointed in the variety of the menu. The food was poor in taste and in appearance and toppings for rice came as a separate plate, which didn't make sense. Overall...could have been better.
Great sushi place— love the food ( very authentic) and the atmosphere. Wish I had the time to take pictures but the food was just too good to wait.
I’ve been to this place 3 times and the consistency in the quality of the food and service still remains the same. The food is nice and fresh and the staff are very friendly. Definitely recommend this place to all sushi lovers.
A step up from Mandarin just down the street. The general ambiance is superior, and the food is a bit better, although the selection is not nearly as extensive. Biggest difference is that it is not self-serve in the way other buffets generally are. You order from a menu and wait for the server, which slows things down a bit but allows for you to remain with your party (assuming you're not eating alone).
Had sushi for the first time. Tasted great and really enjoyed the customer service. Our guy Sam did an amazing job serving my boys and we had a great time.
This was my first time eating here as i wanted to try a new sushi place. After reading the reviews I decided to check it out. My experience here was I say alright. The food here is absolutely amazing no doubt about it. For an AYCE sushi and Thai restaurant and for their prices the food was on point. So your asking why the 3/5 and not 5/5. Well I spent most my time at the restaurant waiting for my server to come take my order. There was a point I was waiting 20 mins.... The service here really needs improvement. Also I took off a star because the restaurant itself needs some touching up to do. The booth the waitress assigned us to had ripper seating. Which was taped together and was uncomfortable to sit on. Seeing it was busy we did not want to make it a big deal at the restaurant. Also the washroom needed some serious cleanup. We also caught the employees not cleanup the tables properly. Maintenance is definitely needed. Overall food experience was amazing! Service big down side and appearance needs work.
When we were waiting for our table, we waited 15-20 minutes even though we had a reservation. Plus a waiter came and didn't even acknowledge us. Then, when we were ordering, our waiter only asked 3 of 4 people's orders. We did not feel welcome at all. Never coming back.
I had a blast! We had the all you can eat, wow, there is some really awesome stuff. Orders are rather small but they keep coming if you keep ordering:) service was good and super fast.
Understaffed which made for slow service, pad thai tastes really aweful
Really nice place for AYCE, the quality is much better than most sushi restaurants I have been to! And the service was awesome with a great ambience inside!
Great service! Food was delicious. Recommend the all you can eat buffet, a lot of variety!
Slow service, lots of flies, quality of food was below average and hot foods usually cold
Place was smaller compared to other branches but it wasn’t a peak night so we were seated right away. Service was fast and food was good. Was hoping they had more options for dessert (they only had vanilla or chocolate soft serve cones).
The food is always fresh and the service is usually excellent. HIGHLY reccomend the Thai Dumplings and Coconut Schrimp... The entire dinner menu is worth trying.
I love this place , the quality of food is good . And the vibes are exactly what I really like
The sushi looks fresh. But it lacks the fresh taste of the fish. It seems it is falling behind last few times I was here.
Excellent A La Carte and all-you-can-eat options! Decently priced and perfect portions. Must try. Highly recommended...
There are many tastes to choose from with good quality. I always get the fresh seafood and have never gotten sick from this place. Some times they serve oysters and scallops which aren't bad. Not much to complain about.
Nice and clean environment and friendly staff. The prepared food was fresh and sushi and sashimi were excellent. Will be back in the future.
WOW.... I am so shocked by the service I received from store manager Catherine on Jul.6.2021. 19:20 p.m. from the Trafalgar location Spoon & Fork over the phone. Used to be a regular customer from this location but from now on I will not recommend this store to anyone or ever comes back again. The manager Catherine who picked up my call for a simple take out order was very rude, and impatient. I asked the question "how much do I need to pay if I want to order salmon sashimi on the side" She is being very ignorant about her duty and does not know the answer but no only that, she then raised her volume and impatiently said "I don't understand you". This is not a customer service level should be in Oakville and I am so disappointed to see this in 2021. Save your money and go somewhere else, there are tons of sushi restaurants in this area who is willing to do your business with a smile. Also, this place is not famous for the food quality at all, people comes here because their menu is cheap.
Order takeout from location regularly. Food is great!
I have been to this location before, however the service we received last night was not that great! We were seated and had to wait around for about 20-25 mins until the menu arrived. A special shoutout goes to Nicole, a server who was clearing up the table next to us, and noticed us being frustrated with our own missing server. She quickly approached us, and became our server for the night. She was very friendly, and courteous compared to the server we originally had. Other than that, food was delicious!
Great variety of food. Little bit for everyone. My family and I really enjoyed it. It was my moms birthday and they have a 50% off birthday special on all you can eat. Also the service was very fast and very friendly and professional.10/10 would recommend.
Excellent place and very friendly customer service ????????
Went there for lunch today. Had the Salmon Bento Box.. Miso and salad were divine. Portion was fair. Disappointed that salmon was a bit dry. Been here before and absolutely enjoyed it. I do recommend to others to try.
The service during these tumultuous times is fantastic! They're including free spring rolls or seaweed salad with every order and cutting some THICK sashimi to make sure you come back for more. The pad thai was loaded with vegetables and prepared to perfection.
Food was tasty and authentic, but the staff we not very pleasant. Do not like having to ask multiple times for the same thing, making it look like I am the inconsiderate one.
I’ve been here a number of time because it’s one of the only places that offers all you can eat sashimi that comes on a bed or crushed ice (makes the whole experience of eating sashimi to another level). Other food is pretty decent as well. My favorite appetizers are escargot, coconut shrimps, and variety of tempuras. There is a pretty good selection of other food and ice cream for desserts if you need something sweet to end with, all for a great price. Service can vary depending on the crowd and where you sit.
Good food but the service wasn't good. Didn't receive everything we ordered and had to place a second order just to have the same thing happen again. After the third order we started to receive items from the first order an hr after it was placed.
Delicious food and high quality AYCE! Excellent service. Coconut shrimp is amazing, best ever mango salad & mango chicken! Would highly recommend the ice cream & sesame balls for dessert as well. Fair warning: make sure you don’t plan anything else for the remainder of your day because you won’t be able to move after!
Hands down the families favorite restaurant in all of Oakville. Great food, exceptional service, fantastic dinning experience all in all. If you are looking to celebrate or just casually dine in - make Spoon and Fork your go to for all occasions.
Definitely order off the menu as the portions are very generous.
Food was nothing special but the service was very good. As others have mentioned, the sushi is almost subpar. Offerings from fortinos/loblaws are much better. There was very little avocado, or crab. Mainly all of it was cucumber. The fried chicken and grilled meats were ok, but nothing memorable. The waitress was very nice though. Always prompt and ready for the order. All the staff were pleasant to deal with. Although Covid restrictions (ie. mask wearing) was too loose in the restaurant by customers walking around. All in all it was ok, can’t say I’d come back.
food is ok but I get cold food for take out
Fairly average experience and meal.
EXCELLENT sushi! we went right before the new lockdown and it was truly incredible. the best sushi i’ve had in a very long time 10/10 would recommend
Honestly, don't bother. You know that all you can eat sushi that you had last time that tasted exactly like the other all you can eat sushi place you went to the time before that left you so disgustingly full and an inch away from a good breath that made you swear off all you can eat sushi forever? Yeah its exactly like this place.
The two older guys should not serve. They don't know how. Watching how they handle even water glasses, fingers in the glasses he's about pour water, you have to wonder. They never asked if we needed anything else or how food was. Not a, have a nice day or even a thank you. Hire a real host and leave the serving to others. The green curry was nothing special, but the sushi was good. I won't go back. Should have gone to the other location, but this is so close to us.
The food is good, but the place is too small, ordering is confusing, and service is a bit chaotic during dinner time.
Lovely staff tasty food... Definitely recommend it !!!
The patio was awesome. Food and drink were delicious. Covid precautions in place.
I don't really know how this place is so popular but based on what I saw, I'm never coming back. The first thing that struck me as odd, was the fact that there were literally about 20 people waiting to be seated on the inside of the restaurant. I guess the restaurant owner has realized that people don't like having somebody hovering over them as they're eating, so what they end up doing is installing effectively a glass box around the table that's in the center of the seating section. If you want seating, demand that it's far away from the door because it can get very cold as well as there's going to be many people hovering around you. The food is pretty awful, nothing really has that much taste, you can taste low-quality in pretty much everything. The sushi itself tastes rubbery and you can smell fish on it (poor refrigeration). The teriyaki chicken is pretty much 50% fat, so there's no real chicken in that actual serving. The calamari is rubbery and all you taste is batter. I don't think I'm ever going to come back here, the price as well was not exactly great, and for what you get for an all-you-can-eat buffet in terms of options, actual edible options is disgraceful.
We enjoyed ourselves at all you can eat lunch today!
First time at Spoon and Fork. Really enjoyed our dinner. My husband loved his beef curry and the side order of the coconut rice. We shared a delicious mango salad. I had sushi as my main course. Nice space, good service, and lots of free parking. Good value. Will be dining here again. (In addition to the All You Can Eat Menu, there is an a la carte menu which we requested. )
It's ok. Wish you could order your own food on an iPad and the portions are tiny. Nice style resturant! Great waitress!
Best sushi!! Come here once in a while for lunch and the quality is amazing. Great service, elegant restaurant and amazing food!!! Definitely would suggest the Japanese chicken fried rice
Food was fresh. Great quality. Patio arrangement was adequate. A little pricey but worth it once in a while!!!!!!
The namesake is missing something: chopsticks. The sushi rice is missing key component: rice vinegar or mirin. The sushi rice (yes, the nigiri sushi rice) here tastes plain (yes, plain steamed rice). I will travel extra 10km to go to an AYCE that's worth my money. ????
It's just like every other AYCE sushi place. They don't have the ipads ordering system so the waiter comes to you and asks you what you want. For me that was a bummer because I just think Ipad system is more convenient. The sushi was very average, way too much rice, and no flavor to any of the rolls. The hot food was good, chicken satay, steak, and terriyaki, but I went for sushi, and was disappointed. Service was great though.
Food are not Japanese enough and choice limited. They are more Chinese than Japanese. Unpleasant service too, by the time I arrived half of the seats are free but got arranged just beside the door firstly so I asked to change one, and then in a corner, Raise my hand so badly to get their attention for asking more food.
Love the food. They have all you can eat also. Tired a bunch of stuff and it was great. Service was top notch. Will definitely go again.
The best sushi bar in this area. Delicious menu. Affordable price. Excellent service. Recommend it.
Great Thai food and good service
Lunchtime menu was great! Seemed like I had a little taste of everything... but I barely made a dent in the menu. I think another visit is is order... soon! :-)
Great food. A bit delayed on service plus a bit of an order screw up. You can forgive when its all you can eat. Would go back.
I enjoyed my visit here. While the food wasn’t stellar, it was about as good as you can expect from an AYCE spot with a good variety of options. The patio is nice and tables are very spaced out. Some dishes were a bit slow coming out and we sat without drinks some time which is why I’m giving it four stars.
Food tasted delicious and they were opened till late, which is really appreciated!
I used to love this place and haven't been there in more than a year. What a disappointment! Pad thai was a mush of thin noodles swimming in sauce. The shrimp tempura was raw. Complained and ordered it again, and it was still raw! Spicy chicken had a burnt chemical taste (as if it was the first cook on a chemically cleaned grill). Service was extremely slow.
Food is amazing. We have been here several times as well as ordered takeout. They are very organized and clean. Only complaint would be the prices, but you get what you pay for!
Right after being seated a cockroach crawled across my husband's hand and we had to kill it with the soy sauce container ???????????? None of the safe mentioned it or apologized. We were grossed out.
Service
It was one of the worst experiences for all of us. Never been to a place with such bad service . The old lady(short hair) had a weird attitude. Not welcoming at all. I just hated the fact she kept making faces as she picked up our plates. Not only that the food was not even fresh, the rice were falling off , the wasabi was not strong enough ,the tempura was stale.Except for sashimi everything was bad. Don't recommend going to this location. More than the food it was the attitude of that lady that disappointed me the most.
What a horrible experience I had at this place. Before being seated I asked the hostess that I was dining in for the first time and wanted to know if the all you can eat meal includes endless Sashimi fish. She said it does! I sat in the booth and proceeded to order. I ordered 50 pieces of sashimi of all sorts of fish. ( As I usually do at any other sushi all you can eat restaurants without issues) SPOON AND FORK did not give me my order and played around giving me only 15 pieces, saying I can wait to order more if I finish the first 15. Now I understand they are being cheap but I can eat a lot and told them I usually consume over 100 pieces at other places. They still did not give me my order on the second run which was another 10 pieces only. (these were small pieces too) Then they brought me the garlic bok choy. I noticed the bok choy wasn't even stripped into pieces but simply a entire piece just cut in half. I proceeded to pull apart the layers of leafs and found small dead flies and dirt tightly in between the leafs. I called the waiter to address this matter and the manager who was close by overheard my complaint and told me that those were the seeds and not flies. I showed my date and she confirmed it was tiny fruit fly looking bugs. The manager still argued to me as if he was in the right. Mind you the entire staff were Asian and hardly spoke English or just had accents and tried to play dumb in order to avoid the conversation. I was outraged by the service and food and would NEVER EVER EVER recommend this restaurant to anyone, unless you really do not care to be treated fairly and respectfully. I would see it that the Halton Board for public health is informed and sees into this matter against the management, owners, corporation. .
Food was good. Went during lunch hours and there was still lots to choose from. Price is what you can expect from an all you can eat sushi place. Our experience for service was really good and balanced (wasn't overbearing nor neglecting).
Used to be great, but the last two times I’ve been there the service was incredibly slow, and I was only able to order around 8 taster dishes from the all you can eat menu in 2 hours in a medium sized group. Our orders would consistently not get delivered even when we’re not ordering a lot of food, which was really annoying and the quality of sushi has definitely gone downhill when you actually do receive the dishes. Changed from 5 stars to 1 star.
If you want to get extremely full that's your choice. Food is delicious, staff is attentive, spicy salmon is the best.
Food was great but service was a little slow
I would avoid this place. The customer service isnt very good. They make you wait extra long to order more food so you get full very fast. They forget your order and pretend that it was on the way when it actually wasnt. They dont greet you on the way in just tell you where to sit. They bring the wrong food to the table. The food as actually not bad but not special either. The dessert options are very limited to soft serve icecream. They still use physical menus so who knows if they have cleaned it. The washrooms were pretty clean however. I dont think we got our money's worth here as eventually they take so long you get so full.
Great customer service, delicious Asian dishes. We were able to get a table early. All servers were very nice. I was surprised by the chocolate vanila ice cream as desert
Excellent food. Very fresh, so flavourful. Friendly staff. I'll be back!
Dine in
Long time customer of Spoon and Fork. Our favourite Thai place in Oakville. Wonderful selection of dishes. Great service. Excellent portions. Highly recommended!!
Great place, food is tasty, atmosphere is nice, but the portions of food are very small and sometimes not get all the food you ordered. But will other than the portion sizes, I would recommend this place for any occasion.
Think of an all you can eat buffet, but instead of getting up and plating all your food you just order it from the menu and it arrives. Want more - more arrives at your table. It eliminates the getting up and sitting down part of most all you can eat experiences which really gives you more time with your dinner guests. Dimly lit space with modern furnishings and comfortable seats. Food was delivered quickly and my water glass was topped off about 30 times over the course of the meal. The food was good for an all you can eat set up. I would return. Lots of parking, go hungry, there is a time limit of a couple hours but I was able to become quite full into the 1 hour mark.
Great service each and every time, super fresh sushi, best in the GTA!
Great service and good price. Liked their sea food and sushi. Not impressed with the cocktails.
Food is really good. Like this one better than Neyagawa location. Really like Terrence, the Manager on duty and our server Albert.
My husband and I had a disappointing dinner experience here last night with the all you can eat menu. I dont typically write negative reviews, but feel this one is warranted. I ordered salmon, tuna and butter fish sashimi. I found it all to be very chewy and the tuna tasted rancid. When mentioned to the server, he said that the belly of the salmon tended to be chewy and offered to remake it. The remade plate was slightly better but not great. Appetizer selection was pretty limited...I would have liked to see a seaweed salad and more dumplings. What we did get was oily. Dessert consisted of premade icecream sundays that came in a plastic container with a little wooden spoon. Overall it felt inauthentic and basic. Theres nothing special here whatsoever. On a positive note the servers were friendly and helpful. The cost of the all you can eat is expensive ($29 per person) for the quality, plus we were charged extra for our hot teas at $3 each. We wont be returning and do not recommend this restaurant.
All I can say is mmmm Sushi lol !!
I went here for their table all you can eat service. The first thing I told them when I sat down was "I have an allergy" make sure anything brought to this table has no eggs. If you cant make it without the allergen, let me know. I don't think they really cared. Every time they brought food I asked and they said no its fine to eat. An hour later exactly I had a massive reaction. This wasn't at the level of cross contamination, I know what that feels like. This was full on "there was a lot of it" in something reaction. Luckily I don't have a life threatening reaction, so I didn't need to spend the night in medical care. If you have any allergies avoid this place. in my opinion, they don't care about your allergies, at least they didn't seem to about mine.
Worst waitress I have ever had. Can't even remember to bring one thing, yet gets side tracked with everything else. Definitely not coming back
Pad Thai was decent, calamari was okay.
Chicken Pad Thai for take out. Food was good.
If you're eating AYCE Sushi in Oakville for lunch and you're not eating it at S&F, you're wasting your money. Only place serving sashimi at lunch and most dinner items are still on the lunch menu. Why settle for a restaurant that doesn't serve Sashimi? Avoid the others and maybe they will all follow suit. Would give 5 stars but nothing is perfect :)
The service was good but the quality of food is subpar. The quality has really gone down since the last time I was here
By far the worst meal I have ever had. Terrible food. Pad thai had no flavor. Sushi was 100% not made fresh and was in the fridge and the crispy beef was horrendous. Never again. Steer clear
I ate here a couple of weeks ago and I was shocked that they never asked for my proof of vaccination or my ID when I dined in. I use to love this place. Obviously they think they are above Covid19 mandated law. Shame.
This place blew away my expectations of sushi restaurants. This restaurant's interior design is one of the best out of all the sushi restaurants I have visited. I have never seen a restaurant that looked so plain on the outside, yet so beautiful on the inside. Also, their presentation of sashimi is extravagant and pristine. Between the giant sashima glass bowl and the "giant glass interior" I would have to say my favourite part of the meal was the ice cream. The vanilla ice cream was very soft and creamy; a great way to end off the meal and clear your palate. I will definitely be visiting here again.
The service and food are always exceptional!!!
I'm eating here looking at pictures of food from other restaurants just to feel better. Food is inedible and the waiters will definitely let you down. The last time I've felt this disappointed is when I showed my parents my report card. Also I am 99% sure the sushi gave me diarrhea.
Had a great night with good friends and fantastic food:)
The Green Dragon roll was so good. Worth noting that everything on the menu is included in AYCE.
Expensive, yet for the price of the meal, it doesn't include deserts or tea. Food quality was OK at best. The one good dish was the Roasted Duck Salad.
Myself and three others ate here prior to the dinner rush (around 430pm). The service was incredibly fast and efficient. I always enjoy this restaurant when we order the all you can eat. The food is fresh (especially the sashimi). We tend to overeat here because all of the items we order taste great and are made in small batches. I am particularly fond of the coconut shrimp (crispy battered) and the beef short ribs. The prices are definitely reasonable for what you get unless you are a particularly small eater. I can easily recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants to try Japanese fusion and is hungry enough to take advantage.
Heard about this place, so thought we'd give it a try. Me and my wife are big maki roll lovers and our favourite place is Heart Sushi. So the lamb chops were boiled not grilled. Short ribs were good. The rolls were kind of dry and not as tasty. Disappointed to say the least. Back to Heart Sushi!
Service was slow, refused to serve dessert as they stated they were too busy. Didn't bring all the food we ordered. They really need to have drinks included
Food was great and they implemented social distancing measures. Servers are attentive and food came quite fast. Will go again!
This is one of my favourite restaurants. Love the quality of the food and the service. I miss coming here for the all you can eat menu. Looking forward to visiting once covid is over.
Best all you can eat sushi classy place great value for money and very fresh, waitresses were amazing
Great service, amazing food and good drinks. Great selection of food and always fast and fresh! Will be back again for sure
My family and I visit this restaurant every other Sunday being walking distance from our home. The service and food is always top notch and their friend rice is my personal favourite! I would definitely recommend this place.
Food is ok, definitely not the best AYCE around, but not many options and most dine in is closed. Service is sub par but its Covid so im not suprised. VERY BUSY!! Take our orders were piled in the restaurant waiting for 30/40 minutes. I was here pre covid and service wasn't much better. They always seem to forget dishes or never bring them at all. Serving are VERY small, for a table of 5 we got only 5 wings? I mean...I asked for enough for table so you'd think that would be at least 2/3 wings per person. We found hair in one of the rice bowls and all they did was replace the rice, no discount or nothing. Probably won't be back
Hostess was extremely rude when my daughter and I came in for lunch. She spoke to us from 20 feet away with a mask on while it's extremely busy and loud, when I said sorry I didn't hear you she got extremely rude. It's disgusting and sad when you have zero customer service and are the face of your restaurant.
I try not to leave any bad reviews during the pandemic. However, my experience here was so bad that I would feel bad not to post it, considering take-out support could be going to restaurants deserving it. Ordered Pad Thai for take out. Worst Pad Thai I have ever had. Extremely bitter, tasted like under-cooked bean sprouts. I could not eat the noodles past two bites. Had to throw them out. It was that bad. My partner ordered their Chaing Mai Noodles. They were pretty bad as well. Had way too much oil and the chicken tasted like it had gone bad. Everything that was somewhat edible tasted very cheaply made. The Pad Thai was not edible at all. Gave this place a try. Never coming back. I would not recommend this place.
This place was good to enjoy your time with your family members or friends. Foods were tasty. Price okay and services were good.
The food was very good and unlike many similar places I've visited, they don't forget parts of your order or bring you someone else's food. It's a little more expensive than some other all you can eat restaurants but I feel like the additional cost was worth it.
Food is great, really enjoy the atmosphere as well. My less a star comes from their parking situation. The Tim Hortons right beside it just completely eats all the spaces up and you will definitely have to prepare to go for a walk. Typically this wouldnt be an issue, but when it is freezing cold and slippery, it really sucks.
Great food, reasonable cost and the staff are so friendly. Can order food or go all you can eat. The all you can eat option is great for sampling so many different dishes in a single visit from sushi to pad Thai...the appetizers are also amazing like the calimari.
For sushi, sashimi and this kind of meal this is a great place. IMHO you will NOT regret
We ordered Thai green curry, Basil fried rice & spicy eggplant stir fry. All the dishes were very good. All these dishes we ordered were specifically vegetarian, this restaurant is vegan friendly.
I was here for a late Holiday party. The quality and service has gone down since the last time I was here 2 years ago. On the plus side, the food came quickly.
I’ve never been more dissatisfied with the food. The rice was old and overcooked. The service is good.
Disappointed. Food did not taste good. Chicken didnt taste like chicken, it was chewy and cheap. Waste of $26. Do not eat here.
Ok selection of food and nice staff. Spacious patio
Small portion...taste wise just ok. Ambience is great.
Glad they survived the pandemic
Been going here for years. Great service, great food
So sad go see another AYCE sushi restaurant which was once so good, go down hill. This place is only good for people who don’t care for good quality AYCE sushi. I get service is incredicbly slow due to COVID but come on, the quality has really fallen off over the years since this place first opened. Definitely not worth over $30 per person. It’s time for new management.
Very good Thai food, we tried vegetarian since we don't eat meat..
We've been there a few times. Food is decent for an all-you-can-eat sushi place. Our server during our most recent visit, a middle-aged gentleman, was fantastic. Took off two stars for them not having a baby changing table in the washrooms. This is a reasonably large restaurant, and it's unusual for a restaurant this size to not have a changing table (not even in the women's washroom). We had to change our baby's diaper in the dining room because it was -2C outside and there was not even a chair in the washrooms. They have accessible stalls in both washrooms, it should be quite easy to install a changing table!
The chicken wonton soup was delicious and tasted like that in China. The coconut shrimp seemed to be overdone. The deep fried chicken wonton dish was a great deal for the price. The squid dish was a little greasy.
Absolutely astonished that this restaurant is serving customers especially with the combination of terrible customer service and bad food. Frankly, they didn't give my party of four about half of what we ordered on the all-you-can-taste menu, (even after a reminder) and what was served was of terrible quality. To note, it wasn't until our food arrived that they mentioned how they didn't have any tofu items available (this significantly limited what our vegetarian colleague could have, and the messaging wasn't shared politely either). Additionally, the food we ordered came very late (if they didn't forget what we ordered). Only mango ice cream was available. Coconut shrimp was dry, and that one lonesome french fry you see is actually the sweet potato tempura. We expected better.
Lots of food. Really tasty. Attentive.
Was here for dinner with my family on a Tuesday night at 6:30. We had 12 adults and 2 kids in our group. The food was decent, not something to write home about, but the service was close to non-existent. We arrived at about 6:25 for our 6:30 reservation and there were 2 other parties waiting at the door for service. There was no hostess, just a server walking about trying to get guests seated. We were seated quickly since our large table was already set. Becareful with the menus, some of the menus we received had very sticky covers, had to wash our hands after touching the menus. Throughout our meal, we had to work hard to flag down servers to place orders or to get more water. Other than bringing us our food, our server(s) didn't come by to see if we needed water refills or if everything is good. At the end of the night, we were so frustrated that we contemplated walking out as a large group to see if we'll be noticed, but of course we didn't do that. We managed to flag down another server to get our bill. When the bill arrived, she explained that 15% gratuity is charged for parties of 8 or more, which we expected. However, my husband asked to have the gratuity removed due to the lack of service. The server agreed, apologised on behalf of our server (we don't know who our actual server was since 4 different ones came to our table to delivery our orders).
Great Thai fusion. Lots of vegetarian options. Sushi and sashimi is lovely! Thanks again
Food was good. Service was slow
Excellent restaurant for Asian fusion. They seem to be one of the few places that do both Japanese and Thai very well. The owner is an outstanding guy. Once, when my wife and I were waiting (no reservations), he took pity on us and personally brought us a complementary plate of calamari.
came here for lunch, for the price selection is poor, quality of sashimi is poor, food quality in general is poor....
Good but serving was not good
Food very good staff were excellent.
I like to take the family here once every couple months. We like the staff and atmosphere. The food is good but I find that they really scaled back on the all you can eat menu (just before COVID hit) so if you’re looking for a wide variety you may be disappointed.
Very good food at a reasonable price. This all you can eat restaurant features Thai and Japanese cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere outside of the downtown core
Slow service. They take your order, then go to the next table and take theirs, then go to the third table and take theirs.... Waiter was also acting smart saying things like "oh I think you've ordered more than enough food" and "you shouldn't eat that much of this"..
This place is a constant date night (or day date) spot for hubby and I. We've brought our friends and family here confident that they'd love it too. Ambiance, food quality and professional staff all get 4.8 stars. Only missing 0.02 because of limited dessert options for all you can eat. Other than that tiny little detail...this place is a must-go-to-like-now.
Great Place for sushi Thai, fast service and awesome menu items. Beef Satay for the Win
Have been here many times in the past but my recent visit was awful. The lady in the front was indifferent and borderline rude. When you were talking to her should would walk away from you in the middle of the conversation. The food quality was subpar and the service was even worse. I understand it's a difficult time for this industry but this is not how you bring back customers. Will not be returning here anytime soon.
Excellent service and food, but I believe that compared to competitors the place should at least have a faster way to place an order (like a tablet or something like this).
Good atmosphere serving portions small and should know what you want with the written menu.
Filthy! Dirt caked on to patio tables. Take a wipe and wipe the tables your wipes will be BLACK.
It was a awesome restaurant I went so far. The ambience and the food was extraordinary. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.
Great food for an all you can eat! Enjoy the appetizers & different rice options.
Food was excellent, ambiance was inviting and waiter was very pleasant and patient with we first time goers. Will definitely be back.
We come here occasionally, good food. Fast service
Good for dine in. The food quality had considerably dropped last year but when we went recently, we noticed the food was delicious and very fresh. Service is average. But the “all you can eat” lunch deal is pretty good!
The food was okay, the portions are all over the place. The noodles and rice are huge, but the rolls are 4 pieces. The service was fine and the restaurant was pretty clean.
I love this place. The thai food is also very good.
Simon! Thank you so much for your great service You make spoon and fork a better place With quality of your elegant service We go there from time to time And I can say with confidence you make our visit every time more pleasure We hope to see every time we go there Very nice place for sushi All the waiters speaks English and they know what they’re doing Quality of sushi is good Very nice atmosphere clean fast service tasty food They do not have iPads
If you are not white don’t expect good service. It’s too bad I really enjoy the food!
I was not particularly fond if this restaurant. Alot of rave about it, but you definitely have to have a palate for Japanese food.
Amazing food quality and price. Service is super fast and house sake is a great complement to lunch.
I feel really sad for what is happening with Spoon & Fork restaurant over the years. This place use to be a great place in terms of food and service. Since it is not the same owner/management the quality of the service went down hill. Many of the good servers which knew you (believe or not by your name) refused to keep working for them according the new conditions imposed. The quality of the food became not even close when they use to be one of the best sushi places in Etobicoke. Finally, the last point is Price x Quality. If you are expecting your food to be prepared how was in the past, well made, tasting great, with really attentive servers and with a good price... I would highly recommend you to go somewhere else. You won't find this there anymore. P.S - I gave 1 star, because they still keep a good decoration...But the most important is the food and the service, Is it management? SAVE YOUR MONEY.
Really tasty! I got the all you can eat lunch menu and loved the variety of items between sushi, maki, and the mixture of thai and other items! Good portion sizes too - not too big so you're able to try lots of things. I really enjoyed it! Price is high but about the same as other all you can eat places.
This place will forever be one of my favourite restaurants. The food is always so good (the soups are my favorite but maybe that's just bc I'm a soup person lol I always have at least 5 bowls of soup there). I'm not able to eat sushi but according to my partner and family, it's fresh and tasty. The overall atmosphere is amazing - classy yet comfortable and welcoming. The service is also really great. I just wish they had better dessert - I've only tried the ice cream and it was just eh. But overall, this place has never let me down whenever I go.
Food is good but the ordering system is outdated and some orders were delayed or we had to request many times. On the other the servers made an effort to assist us
Excellent food...pick up was ready in 15 min. Thai chicken gold curry was amazing. Chicken satay was yummy, loved the peanut sauce too. General tso was ok. They gave free spring rolls ...so nice of them. Will order again.
Good sushi. Always fresh. Service isn't always the quickest but it is expected at an all you can taste. Other foods on the menu are decent as well
Love this place We always order take out Friendly staff, fast service and great food.Never disappointed Easy parking
Service is slow it shows you the ingredients of the foods
Two star because at least the customer service was okay. The food was not good at all. Had all you can eat today with my family and it has been the worst tasting place I've ever have gone. For the quality of the food, I find this place over price, and they give you your tea with small one cup portion tea pot with espresso cup and charges you $3.
Great menu especially the appetizer Beef Short Ribs. Best dish there. Sometimes menu items come in random orders and additional quantities but nothing to problematic. Service is standard. Menu selection is overall well done with a good selection of different dish types
Food, service, quality and portions have really gone down hill yet the price has gone up. Service staff forgot orders, that some ppl had food delivered at our table 2 or 3 times before my son even got 1 order of avocado rolls. I used to frequent this place and even had corporate dinners organized at other locations. This was the first time I've been here since pre covid but it's safe to assume that I will not be returning.
Good food and service. Very clean and organized
Went to Oakville Spoon and fork on Near Trafalgar. Food is always great. Staff is hit and miss. Also, I called in to reserve and was told I don’t need one. I reconfirmed due to covid protocol, the gentleman said no need. I arrived with my wife and the person at the reception reacted with a frown when he learned we were “walk-ins”. I told him we were told we didn’t need a reservation when I called-he didnt even answer (?). We got a table a few minutes later.
Great service as always. One of my favorite places to go with the family. Highly recommended.
Dispite having the same name, each location of spoon and fork is different. This one is by far the best one. Great quality food and service.
I love Spoon & Fork. I always do the AYCE option because Thai and Japanese food are my favourite. They do a lot of dishes great. I recommend the Woodbridge location over Etobicoke but this location seems to just be getting on its feet. Almost everything is good. It reminds me of Springrolls which was a favourite of mine. Must check out if you are a fan of Springrolls restaurant. ????
Service
An all-you-can-eat sushi place which is somewhat different from other places since they don't use ipad. However, customer service here was amazing. They are fast and very friendly especially Gordon (if I'm not mistaken). They are also very accommodating to kids. Spoon & Fork also offers a la carte. During my last visit, I had AYCE and I think it was worth my money. The food was great. Whoever is the chef that day did a very good job. Sushi ingredients tasted fresh. Chicken skewer was exceptional. Compared to other places, their shrimp tempura tasted like shrimp NOT batter and not too oily. My favorite was their sashimi - squid sashimi is a must try. Beef tataki was okay but I think needs improvement. Their crab meat salad was good - had two. They only offer ice cream for dessert but it was a good soft served ice cream. The place is cozy and have a good ambiance. I happily recommend coming here. I think from now on, I will be coming here if I'm craving for AYCE sushi. They beat the taste and service of places near me.
The patio is so nice and food was sooo good ! Highly recommended
Didn’t have a positive experience here, service was very poor . Staff members that I spoke to you were both very rude when I called to speak about a mistake in my order. Received the wrong order and no apology, just indifference from both of them. I won’t order from here ever again.
Great food, very nice place to enjoy Thai/Japanese food, also great customer service.
Spoon and fork plus on neyagawa was better in terms of both selection and quality of food. Food at this location was just okay in comparison
I have called calling 7 times and have received no answer when all I am trying to do is receive a bit more information on if I can eat there due to dietary restrictions but mainly if they are accepting walk ins due to covid. They have no answered the phone even once and I find it highly unprofessional to not answer the phone this many times throughout a day and also have a full voicemail.
Husband and I came here for lunch and had the all you can eat. Was not particularly impressed. Couldn't really decipher between dishes and word to the wise stay away from the crispy beef
Save your time and money. It's not what it was years ago. Really awful service, fake over fried disgusting food. The soup tasted like can soup with hot sauce in it. When the lady asked me why I didn't finish it, I told her it doesn't taste good, she just took it away. No apologies, no reasoning or trying to fix it. And they didn't bring a few things we ordered. Valentine's dinner ruined. Spicy mayo came after the sushi was done. Very limited options. But first of all is the customer service here
Good range of food to choose from. We had the All You Can Eat but there's also the Alacarte menu. Only 2 servers so ordering was a little slow but food was good.
Great place to eat. Fast service, tasty food and clean.
Ordered from here a few times on Uber eats and at the restaurant. I've having a hard time trying to understand why this food is 2$ signs on Google. Tonight we ordered vegetable basil fried rice, lemon chicken, coconut rice and spring rolls. I don't understand how you can have the flame symbol next to a food item and the food be so bland. They don't even use salt. If I didn't know I ordered coconut rice I couldn't tell by the taste.
The only reason to ever go here is for the all-you-can-eat buffet. Not only is this the absolute best all-you-can-eat sushi place around here, it's the best sushi place period. I thought that maybe a non-buffet, expensive sushi place would be better, but so far Spoon & Fork beats them all in every way. Even down to the chopsticks. They always have really nice chopsticks there, not the cheap disposable ones. Everything about this place is quality. Now if you don't like sushi, then don't come here. You could probably find better tai food elsewhere. The tai food here is still really good, but really, you come here for the sushi. You get your money's worth eating the sushi. I always judge and compare sushi places with their spicy salmon maki. Spoon & Fork has the best spicy salmon maki ever. It's just perfect, and has the right amount of crunch. Yes, the service can be a little slow sometimes, but I find that that's the case at all sushi buffets. Honestly, you're never going to find a better sushi place for the money. Once you go here, you'll never ever go anywhere else. Why pay a bagillion dollars for a couple rolls of sushi, when you can go to Spoon & Fork and eat as much high quality sushi as you want? You'd think that sushi buffets offer a lesser quality, but this is NOT the case. Don't listen to the bad reviews. As long as you love sushi and don't want to pay tons only to not be full, just go.
Had a reservation for 7.30pm and was a bit late on Monday. This guy named Hong welcomed us and our Guests very rudely. We go to spoon & fork regularly and was very disappointed with his attitude. We always value Gordon's service but will never take guests there in future. Was embarrassing
Every time I order out from this restaurant I regret it. Yesterday we ordered California rolls and it was 10% crab 80% rice and tasted like cardboard. I will never eat from this location again. It has consistently disappointed me.
We had a suboptimal dining experience here. The interior is nice, as well as the service, although the food was abhorrent. Compared to other sushi all-you-can-eat restaurants, Spoon & Fork offered a limited selection of dishes plus no dessert, which in addition were basic and unoriginal. There is not anything unique about the food. The sushi rice was undercooked and too sticky, the tempura was hard and dry, the coconut shrimp and salmon pizza too as if they were left in a fridge for too long. Fried calamari was tough and difficult to eat, the Thai spring rolls were bland and stale, I could tell the fish was not fresh in some sushi rolls as they were mushy to the touch + lacked vibrancy, the Basil fish was very very very salty, they were food you would order from a substandard take-out restaurant but as this is a buffet I expected more. The food generally lacked much flavour, character, and authenticity and had nothing to offer. I am honestly estimating that their food is cooked with low-quality ingredients. It is challenging to make a delicious dish with low-quality ingredients. As a home chef they were dishes that could easily be replicated at home. For the food quality, the prices were disproportionate. The only dishes that I was somewhat satisfied with were the Chef’s Special Salmon and White Tuna tataki. Otherwise, I would not revisit this restaurant nor recommend this place for anyone. Two out of three guests from our party vomited after our meal. Our waiter did not inform us that we were looking at the dinner menu either. We had a child in our party but they charged an adult price without inquiring her age. Just a heads up for anyone considering this location for a sushi lunch or dinner and feedback for the chef here. Photos below.
Really good AYCE because the selection is great and the service is pretty fast. When I'm not getting AYCE, still a really good price... spent $35 on take-out and it fed me for two days. The pad thai is really great and I absolutely love their dynamite roll.
We loved the food , it was so fresh n tasty. Special mention to our waitress Shailene , she was awesome . God bless her !
I ordered from here last night through uber eats. I ordered red curry chicken and when I took the lid off you could smell spoiled chicken very strongly. Uber eats refuses to reimburse for this item. How fair is it that I lost $14 and didnt get to eat. My order was $44.41 and all I was requesting was $14 back. I will NEVER order from this place again.
Food quality has gone down in this place. Used to be much better - especially their Thai dishes. Our server with the colorful glasses was very passive aggressive and didn’t come around much. When he finally asked to take our order the first time, he rudely and abruptly walked over to another table as we were in the middle of speaking to him. We didn’t get all our order from the first round and when I asked the server if we have anything else coming he said no and argued that we got everything already but then proceeds to bring out items from our first order! Customer service is poor. Won’t be returning.
Great place to enjoy with friends. Clean. Friendly staff. All you can eat, what more could you ask for.
Service and food was awesome but better to make reservations so you dont have to wait
Lots of flies buzzing around while eating indoors..annoying but the food was good .
I've been here a few times and the food and service is good. The only downside is that their menu does not show you what each item looks like. Most sushi places typically have an iPad that allows you to view each item before you order. I'm a fan of this because each restaurant tends to make their sushi a little bit different than the rest, so I'd like to know before ordering that it's what I want so that I do not waste food. Beyond that, everything was good!
The food was not as tasty and there was not as much on the menu in comparison to other Spoon & Fork restaurants. It was expensive compared to what you received. I would not recommend this place.
Food was fantastic, service was great!
My sister in law was leaving to go back home to the Philippines the next day so we went to Spoon & Fork. It was the first time I have eaten there. We were greeted with a really nice young man welcoming us, did the Covid19 checks the seated us. He was very funny, making jokes while taking our orders. The food started coming fast and furious. The food was very good, the service and ambiance also very good. Love the food. Definitely worth it and would go back anytime. Thank you. Bubba.
I have been going here for years and have recommended them to others- even after a dine in "all you can eat" where one dish had rotten fish that we were able to detect before consuming, and no one got sick luckily. But after today, NEVER AGAIN. I ordered take out of salmon and smoked salmon maki. Within 10-20 mins I developed Scromboid poisoning. Went to the pharmacy and was recommended Benadryl. I called the store to inform them, and the manager had no idea what this food borne illness was and he was rushing to get me off the phone saying "well- theres nothing I can do on my end" and "it CAN'T be a storage issue here". Not a care in the world that a customer gets sick? ridiculous.
Food is good. If you are looking for a place to eat only sushi, you won't find a lot of variety there. The Thai food option is really good but will fill you up quick. Overall, it's a good restaurant to have a nice lunch or dinner out to celebrate an event.
We came here yesterday for the all you can eat sushi and it was an awful experience. The service was very slow, we had to wait for 60+ minutes per order we made, and also a lot of the food we ordered never arrived. And the sushi was not fresh. The servers were also very rude, and one of them even called us “disgusting” when we complained about her service. Go somewhere else honestly, this was the worst sushi i had.
Incapable of advising allergens as sauces such as curry paste ''bought in''. Pad Thai included soy sauce, although not listed on menu. In the end, we walked out before ordering as nothing was clear or trustworthy.
Great Japanese Japanese Thai food
Great all you can eat variety. Very limited outdoor seating. Unfortunately it rained when we visited and the area did not have proper cover. Servers did their best to help with wet tables and replacing soggy food.
Great food. Big variety. I try to come every time I'm in town.
It’s not bad. Little pricey and felt a little rushed to leave. Sushi was okay. Nothing special. Not sure I would go back. But I would say it’s a good place to try.
Last year I gave a solid 5* and for all the past few years we have been going here celebrating bdays, etc.the service and food were always great. Once they reopened we went 2 weeks ago and had such a different experience. The girl at the door was so nice but our waitress was exceptionally rude. I thought it was just once but her rudeness lasted the whole meal. She wasn't friendly and didn't put orders in. She snapped on me a couple times for asking questions abt sushi. Green salad had old veg. She said we had to pay but we still hadn't received our last order. We paid and as we were putting our coats on the order arrived. Hope this isn't the new way they will be doing business or will not be returning.
Not sure about these stars. Too bad about Google now. Been to about 2 of these spoon and forks. By far the worst. Worst service worst food by far. The meat was terrible. Fish was rotten at least 15 percent of the time. Absolutely frustrating and the service was insanely terrible. I'm paying $150 for 3 people with wine and I feel like I'm at a $15 a head sushi joint. Do not support this business. Oakville needs better standards. No desert. The one in Barrie is literally totally in a different level. This one is an embarrassment to all of them.
Love this place. The food is always freshly made and delicious and the service is always impeccable. Thank you for a wonderful birthday lunch!
The quality of the sushi is not that great... Tastes like the ones you get from the grocery stores like b.Trust, T&T, or even Famijoy
The decor, service, background music and food were excellent! I also enjoyed the Japanese beer, Singha as well! My wife will be back!
Food was good. Service was good until it came time to pay for the bills. Left with a bad impression because we were made to pay for drinks they insisted our party had ordered. Left feeling very disrespected.
Nice inside lots of confusion about who ordered what and where is this dish we ordered etc. Liked some dishes did not like others. Ordered curry shrimp and it was under done and my friend orderd pad thai and noodles were chewy.
Nice food. Very quiet today during lunch time. Wait staff were very attentive and food came out quickly and hot food was fresh.
Really good! Found this place by accident! Delicious!
Slow service, they take too long to bring you the food
Horrible service. We had to ask 3 times for wasabi and ginger. Waited 30 mins past our reservation to be seated. Only seen our waitress once after sitting down. And had to go to the front to see the host to pay bill because we got so fed up with waiting. Food was okay. Not worth the wait or money.
Great service. Staff were on the ball and manager was super attentive. Meals were fresh tasty and fast. Would not hesitate to revisit.
The food is great. But the service is way too slow. I had to ask for water 4 times before reviving it. The waitress also skipped several people at my table.
Don’t know if I got unlucky given how the restaurant is rated but the food I had here was pretty bad. The ingredients used are extremely low grade, specially the beef. Overall the taste of the dishes are subpar. The variety, service and ambiance however is good, but I would never repeat. There are much better alternatives out there.
Good real good but sometimes this is sometimes the shimmy plates keep getting smaller they start big but they aint up small by they're not very very good service and food the best
Alot of the food felt like it wasnt cooked properly, ordered the snapper, felt like eating a tootsie roll, was too chewy for fish, the manager was super friendly and brought out a fresh batch. It tasted a bit better. But unfortunately I have woken up to puking my guts out at 3am in the night. Not sure if it was the snapper or something else. Also had to wait too long for glass of water, specially for a all you can eat, maybe we came at a wrong date they must have been under staffed, but for the first time ever I had to ask more then 3 times in a matter of 15mins for glasses of water from 2 different servers.
Good service. Sometimes the food comes out a bit disappointing. An example is when we ordered some fried rice for the kids. The fried rice was not supposed to be spicy, but it was because the cook made fried rice in the same pan right after making a spicy dish without switching or washing the pan. We once ordered edemame as an appetizer, however the beans tased bitter. Each this occured, they tried to make it right. The manager of the restaurant is all about customer service.
We are loyal clients if this place, always fresh, yummy, reasonable prices. Great customer service. Enjoy all you can eat, like dinner menu better ????
It was pretty good, I would recommend they get an iPad ordering system at each table like other AYCE places to make it easier and faster to place your order. I would also suggest listing the ingredients, I can’t eat avocado so I had to ask which rolls had it and which ones didn’t but the staff were really helpful and accommodating.
Good service and great food, also the waiter was really patient and nice to my nephew and niece. If you like August 8 you'll love this
Used to be one of my fave sushi joints! Love it!
Delicious food for great value in a fine dining atmosphere. Got the all you can eat lunch and there was a wide variety of choices. The curries were especially delicious. I would definitely go again!
Loved the food!!! Worth the visit again ????
Always a pleasure to dine at the Oakville Spoon & Fork restaurant. The service is very good - fast and professional. Staff are very friendly. Selection of food is great. We consider ourselves regulars!
Website and host said $29 for buffet but bill came to $32 plus $3 for tea. Half of the food was really good while the other half the worst sushi I've ever had and seen. Inaris taste like candies. Red dragon is NOTHING like what's pictured. Hand rolls were good except I had to remind them 3 times to bring them as they were it coming
The food were delicious, the service was great and all of the staff were attentive.
"beautiful interior!" What time we arrived/Wait time? Arrived on a Sunday night. We got a table right away. Atmosphere? The atmosphere is probably what makes this place the best. It's beautiful especially for an AYCE place. I appreciate the thought that went into the interior. It's a very dark and musky vibe. Service/Staff? The service was okay. It was very fast and efficient. The other spoon and fork I went to on yorkmills used Ipads but here they don't. You order the whole AYCE off a physical menu. I thought that was a little inefficient but it's okay. Food/Menu? The food was great! Some of the things were a hit or miss, but our favourites were the escargot, the oyster mushrooms and the salmon sashimi! Miso soup was good too. Overall, it's a little not worth it's price and it didn't taste as worth it as I thought it would be.
Fantastic food for value! All you can taste lunch has everything you would like. The waiter with the blue glasses is very friendly. Highly recommended!
The absolute worst. I've ordered take out from this place multiple times and they never get it right. I've even checked with the cashier before she gives me the order and they refuse to check the bag... And then the order is wrong. Go to any other spoon and fork ... But not this one.
One of the best spots in Oakville to get japanese and thai food.
Great sashimi for lunch and probably the only place with great Thai and Japanese flavors and to top it off their service is superb!
Our whole family loves this restaurant. It's our favourite place! We've taken friends and extended family there and everybody loves it too. I read some of the "not so good" reviews and I can't believe they are talking about the same place. We have ALWAYS had excellent service and the food has ALWAYS been great! The place is clean, the restrooms are clean, the staff is friendly. We go there hungry and order at least 3 rounds. With each round there are so many dishes you cannot see the table. We go there to celebrate everything. Birthdays, Anniversaries, graduations, Mother's day, Father's day, you-name-it day. Whenever a family member finds out we went there without them, we never hear the end of it. We love Spoon and Fork!
Dine in
This is my fav sushi spot! And the fried rice is great too! Too bad they got rid of the creme brule tough.
???????????????? food is so good. Waiters and waitresses are fairly good but aren't the most friendly. Either way I would go 10/10 times
Went for lunch. Food was good. Having 3 servers stand around and not ask if we'd like any more food was not.
Thai dumplings and mango salad to start. Then get into the Sushi... won't be disappointed.
The Thai Sautéed Chicken is to die for and their sushi is divine! We love taking our friends here to experience the best all you can eat sushi in the GTA area! The waitress and waiters are all wonderful - but we would say our favourite is "Mavis" - she is great!!
I was hesitate to try because of some of the reviews but so glad I gave it a shot. I had the best service. The staff was so friendly and informative. He spent time explaining the different dishes. Water was promptly topped up and the food was so good and flavourful. Lots of variety and the food came out quickly. The curry was so tasty. I will definitely go again and will recommend to family.
Went there for an a la cart dinner... the portion is small. Decent service, not the best... just OK.. But the worse thing I've noticed and the main reason I will never come back here is that the men's washroom smell like ammonia. It was so pungent, that I could smell it before going in. So this smell has probably been brewing in there for at least a month, meaning that the washroom hasn't been cleaned in at least a month. In my mind, if the washroom isn't clean, then the staff probably has dirty hands since they probably use the same washrooms
Good food, dessert options were limited. Felt a bit rushed but over all food. Definitely coming back.
We usually go to this place, food quality is amazing, the service as well is good but today all the waiters we're not welcoming, kind of nervous and have attitude toward us. They wanted us to leave the shop while we were waiting for a table to be ready
Great experience everytime I visit this place!
Usually excellent, but the server was rude and messes up our orders. The food also arrived tepid, so we had to send it back. Perhaps just short staffed? I hope so-usually reliable for an excellent meal.
All you can eat!!! It’s amazing ????
????
Really enjoyed the food here. The sushi is great, and the noodle and Thai dishes are top notch! Sometimes I find that at all-you-can-eat places the other entrees are second thought, but that's definitely not the case here.
Service is bad, don’t come here for sushi is is ass, we keep geting the same rolls over and over again even thought we said otherwise, the waiter made us feel like we where dogs and we where begging for his food, we waited more than 30 minutes for just some sashimi and even thought the noodles are mediocre and have good flavour....we ask for plain noodles and he gives us pad thai????, I would never retur to this restaurant again even if if was for free
Loved the food and service. Portion sizes are perfect for buffet. You can try a lot more things.
Decent food but extremely slow service. I waited half an hour just to get a glass of beer . The first appetizer (edamame) came shortly after. All reservations were made in advance so the restaurant should have been staffed properly in order to serve everyone effectively.
This is a smaller location but the ambiance is a little more polished. Great food - I've been for the all you can eat option and haven't been disappointed yet.
Had high expectations for this one due to the review. The staff was rude and the ladies seemed annoyed that we were there. We were not explained the all you can eat rules. The waitress cut us off several times during our order process. Needless to say we will never go back and we will spread the word about the staff.
It was great foods with fresh ingredients . Price is quite reasonable. Thumbs up
Straight to the point. Food is great for all you can eat. All you can eat prices are average. Where I wasn't to happy is whatever I ordered I would get different things. 2 calamari please, get 1. 8 butterfish please get 2 and so on. Long waits between orders. They need that iPad self order or even a pencil paper so you get what you order.
Food was just okay. Had the service been better I might’ve given a better star review. Unfortunately the staff is very unprofessional in terms of how they handle customers. The atmosphere is nice, in terms of decor, but I felt that it was only to mask the terrible service and the ‘just okay’ food. I’d recommend K and B if you’re looking for something more efficient and better tasting in the quality of food.
I ordered maki using Uber Eats, and I’m very happy with the food I received. It was fresh, tasty, and decent size for the price. Will order again soon.
they deserve a 4 stars. they have many nice selections on lunch all you can eat menu, even got sashimi! lovely!
Unfortunately this place has really gone down hill. The quality of food is poor- rolls are small and falling apart. The overall taste is not good like it used to be. The price has severely gone up. You'll be looking at $90 for two people with tip and no beverages. So disappointing
Still enjoy the diversity of tasters. Have not been there for over 2 years....pre-Covid. Went last weekend in Aug 2021 and have to admit it was not up to past standards. Appetizers reminded me of home party frozen food party platter products. Entre portions were too tiny. Service was not great. Price was far too high for the quality and experience. Basically $50 without any beverage. Before you go think about your options.
Not too bad for an all you can eat. They have soft serve for dessert
Tasty food, beautiful customer service, beautiful brunch location.
Fantastic food and customer service. A bit pricey for AYCE Sushi, but it's worth it in the end. Huge kudos to Janice, our server, for providing excellent customer service. She was on top of her game!!! She regularly checked in with us, topped our glasses of water, and cleared our plates. Thanks Janice!
I visited this place today. The food quality was pretty good as well as the price. However, as somebody mentioned, the service was not as good. Not the attitude, the waitresses were friendly, but the serving style was kinda awkward. Not sure I am coming back again. The serving style hesitates me somewhat. Again, food was great.
Food was decent. Portions are small and service is a bit slow.
First time here. Saw some negative reviews but still wanna give it a try. But the quality was so low and the lady at the front was impatient and unwelcome. Probably she’s the owner this restaurant, otherwise any server like that would be laid off. I would rather grab a pizza from the Dominos next door. At least their pizza is fresh.
The atmosphere is very nice along the lines of Moxie's, Joey's, Milestone. I only had sushi and it was good. The presentation was nice for the sashimi served on ice in bowls. The actual rolls seemed to be thrown together and were very small. Overall it's worth checking out and they do have gluten free soya sauce.
First off . We got there to a 15 - 20 wait . There was NOONE in line and staff walked straight past us . Before that we we made a Reservation 2 times after the man didn't actually say we had one. When we were ordering food she only asked 3 out of the 4 people what they want to eat . And didn't even ask then 3rd
I like this place I didn't have to wait to get a table, food was hot and sushi was awesome
Nice ambiance. Very cozy. Unfortunately cup for tea was not clean ~ lipstick mark. Even though we ordered all you can eat, it was mentioned that we have to pay extra for the item we order and only taste. Waitress would sometimes bring food that you did not order, would confuse order with other table. One waitress that did not speak English could not explain the food that was brought to table.
The food is amazing. The staff are wonderful and friendly, but it's a bit pricey.
I made a reservation for 25 people a month in advance. When we arrived, our section was ready, but it seemed as though the restaurant did not have adequate staff to handle our party plus all of the walk-ins during the lunch rush; not my problem, considering we had made reservations. What quickly became my problem was how slow and disorganized the service was. Ordering the food was more trouble than other AYCE Japanese places - every other place I have been to either has an iPad to order with or a sheet of paper, where you write down the quantities beside each item you want to order. At this place, we had to tell the servers what we wanted to order (like a la carte) which made things more confusing, especially for a larger party. One thing that drives me crazy is when a place has fountain pop but doesn't offer free refills, after charging more than $2.00 per glass. Fountain pop costs literally pennies; you guys are definitely losing more on some of the AYCE food item (such as the beef ribs). The real kick in the ribs (no pun intended) was that the server was unapologetic about this ridiculous no refill policy and said, "we don't have free refills, but what I suggest is after you finish your pop, drink lots of water." When the bill arrived, they included the tip which was to be expected, as we had a large group. The server who made the drink lots of water comment informed us that the tip was included, and then he had the audacity to tell us that any extra money we leave will go right to him; I'm assuming that the included tip will be shared amongst the wait staff that helped with our party. Overall, this was a really lousy experience. The only reason I decided to give this place 2 stars instead of 1 is because the food was actually pretty good. At this point, it probably seems self explanatory, but I will say it anyways, I will not come back to this restaurant ever again!
Th food was good but much, much too expensive. Service was very poor as well. The waiter kept running away, dismissing our questions simply saying "I'll bring you samples." We actually had to get up and ask him to please come back to take our drink order!
Torn seats, greasy dirty paper over the table cloth, dirty greasy menu. Had 4 waiters keep asking what we wanted after we ordered and were kept waiting for ages between meals. Vegetarian options were mixed with meat on the same plate. I bit into some kind of bone/cartilage mixed in with my tofu dish. I had to ask what stuff was mine and vegetarian- lady just pointed at some middle part of dish and hurried away before I could understand. When we were finally done, got our jackets on and waiting to pay - 15 min later they brought our curry. We had to ask if we can pay and leave now. Pretty chandeliers though :)
I really enjoyed lunch here. The atmosphere was welcoming and vibrant. The service was good, and the food was tasty and beautifully presented. Very good value for the high quality dining experience, too.
A more upscale all you can eat dining establishment. It offers a sizeable selection of Thai, Japanese and fusion dishes, in what they call a taste menu. The atmosphere is cozy and the decorations lift the ambience with a bit of posh.
Great place for an amazing meal . Standard of food and service is a bit down after COVID but I am sure they will be back to as good as they were
All you can eat. They get the food for you. Quick service. Loved it!!!
Very cute vibe, I found the all you can eat menu a little limited but their ice cream is the best!
Amazing customer service, great desert, I ate the entire menu pretty much...
5 stars for buffet!
So disappointed !!! Was our favorite restaurant for many years.Waited 15 minutes at our table to be acknowledge...So we left. The older man who is usually working in the restaurant , I asumme is the manager is so unpleasant and uninviting. He really should not be working in customer service. It's a shame because the food is so good but the customer service is the worst I have ever encountered.
Great food. All you can eat style buffet but ordered as tapas to the table. Pinot Gris was also good. Staff friendly and the food comes out FAST but FRESH. Would recommend.
I enjoyed my time here with my family. We came in for Father’s Day and it was quiet busy! Due to our party size, we got seated in this glass section in the middle of the restaurant and the decor was lovely. Food was good and service was okay considering the day. The cocktails weren’t the best and will stick to wine or something simple next time.
I adore this place. It's the only good all-you-can-eat sushi around. It's not the BEST sushi, but it's the best of it's kind.
A high quality all-you-can-eat. It is very rare that sashimi is offered on a lunch menu and I would go out of my way to come here for that reason alone. The best of all is that all the other Chinese and Thai dishes offered are also very good!
Very painful place to do business with. Every location seems to have a different menu, no one has the same things. And certainly overpriced.
My daughter has been waiting for her food for over and hour so we called them back and they said they didn’t deliver after they asked us for our address and told us that it would be delivered in 20-30 minutes.these people are playing and they got the nerves to hang up on us when we are talking to them.
Great atmosphere, great place, staff are friendly. Only 4 stars because our server forgot a lot of orders. Other than that it's good
Usually better than our experience today. Staff is excellent but two items of food had hair in them.
This restaurant has fake reviews - look at reviews with similar or even identical (copypaste) phrasing, or gushing praise with no details. I shame every restaurant with these because its its beco far too common. They literally will seat you and then not take your order, it's bizarre how badly run this place is. The food can actually be pretty good sometimes but it can also be very bad, particularly takeout.
I went with my family on Sunday evening. We didn't have to wait for a table as there were some available. The service was good and relatively fast for this kind of restaurant. We tried the all you can eat menu, with different items. Everything was in right order, and freshly prepared.
I tried what was my new favorite AYCE sushi place for lunch but when I arrived I was told that the patio wasn't open. Because of the Covid-19 variant I preferred the patio since I felt it was safer. On the advice of a friend, I was told to try Spoon and Fork in Oakville. When I arrived I asked for the patio, the server unlocked the patio for us. The service was prompt and friendly. This restaurant had items on the menu that were not available in the other restaurant and all the items we tried were terrific. One of my dining companions felt this restaurant was friendlier and better than one we previously tried. We just might have a new favourite!
I went to this place with some family members for dinner. It was my first time there. I enjoyed all there food from the chicken, raw beef was the best. There sashimi was so delicious and there rolls were great as well. I also like that they had a great Thai selection I had there green curry chicken and some basil chicken and lemongrass beef. If it wasn't so far from Toronto I'd definitely be back. I notice they have one in etobicoke but I'm not sure if food is the same there desert could use an upgrade. They had no green tea or mango ice cream.
Horrible. The quality of the meat, either beef and chicken, was bad, with lots of chunks of fat, when by the price I paid I expected tender loin, without fat. The Japanese food was better, but only regular, nothing extraordinary. Arrogant attendance. I don’t recommend.
I enjoyed the food but the service was subpar. Don't make your customers feel like they're an inconvenience. I was happy with quality of food but staff was quite cold and pushy.
Great food, nice atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff. Great for parties and/or larger groups. Get the VIP card, it is worth the $10.
The place had a pretty decent interior for a chain restaurant. It was a professionally run staff. Nothing against ma and pa sushi places, but sometimes it's nice to have a high end look. Came in during special price hours, gorged myself with salmon and cheese. I'll come back
Great place! Went with a group of 8 people and we were not disappointed. Service was great and the owner was very polite and made sure everyone was content with service and food. Food was excellent! Will be back!
Used to be my go-to AYCE sushi place. However, the quality of food, service, and menu options have all withered to literally nothing. They’re are way better options in this area. Avoid at all costs.
Food is always fantastic and the staff is great. Recommend to go with a group to enjoy the share portions better.
I went there on a Saturday for lunch around 130. The occasion was for a surprise bday. The old man (probably the mananger) was rude from the very start. He kept on coming every 2-5 mins pretty much forcing us to get started and the bday celebrant had not even arrived yet. Servers (including the old man) were terrible as well. Servers would reach in to grab plates without the common courtesy of a warning. Not very comfortable when one is eating and then all of a sudden a guy reaches over to grab a plate and his waist or stomach is right in your face. Waited a long time for good and drinks as well. Most of us only drank water too. On a good note, the food was very good. I commend the cooks for a job well done. Just the experience was marred by terrible customer service. Will not be coming back.
Excellent food and service. A bit pricey but worth it once in a while
The food here is amazing! The only downside is that the ordering could be a bit more streamlined, but they might've had problems with people ordering too much food. A great mix of Thai and Japanese cuisine, and the atmosphere is great. Service is good, but it would be nice if diners were provided with a pen and paper to write down their next order.
The food is always very fresh!
very pricy for what you get. service was good however the food was hit or miss. pad Thai was extremely chewy. peanut sauce had a skin on the top of it like it was sitting out for hours. service at 430 pm is great! and with only one other table it was very quick. nasties maki rolls I have had all where mushy (spicy crispy salmon included) will not return.
Great food quality and quantity. Tiffany served us, and she went above and beyond! Perfect customer service ????
I went to Spoon and Fork yesterday with my family and we were a pretty large group of people (14). The staff were amazingly accommodating during our entire time at the restaurant. They had seated us at the patio as requested, moved umbrellas for us when it started raining, provided us with extra waters/plates/drinks/cutlery when some rain got on our stuff, moved us inside after all the additional work they had done to accommodate us outside and got all of our orders correct on the first time, and there were a lot of orders. The food is what you would expect from an all you can eat, not amazing but pretty good. I preferred the Wok/Appetizer foods more than the sushi but overall it was good. Some of my favourite items included the sweet and sour chicken, spicy California roll, cheese-filled wontons and the shrimp dumplings. My family and I are super appreciative of how staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and we will definitely be coming back!
Went tonight. All of us, including my hubby, my toddler aND myself, loved it. Sushi tastes fresh and tastes a bit particular but so very good! Will go back!
Delicious food & great service. I'd recommend tablets/iPads on the tables to help ease the service.
All the sushi and handrolls I've had here are great and Tiffany always provides us with great service.
Good service! Good tasting food, good selection of meals. Meals at ur table fairly quickly!
Good food...good ambiance , slow service
Great selection of food choices. Our server was pleasant, friendly and accommodating. Great food.
Giving it a 4 because the service was good, they were really fast at bringing our food on our table. staff are nice too. the only thing i didn't like is that they didn't have enough varieties for desserts, they literally have either vanilla or chocolate..but wait, you can mix them! lol. but my experience wasn't that bad.
Some of the dishes were good, while others were not that great. Service was slow due to the lack of staff.
Food is good. Service a bit odd, not all what we ordered came.
Save your time and go to the Etobicoke location. We made a reservation as the Oakville location, only to find out they were fully booked once we got there. The young Matre’d brushed us and the other guest off by stating that he did not speak to us and asked us to leave. The Etobicoke location is bigger and the staff are pleasant. Would have given this 0 stars Owners response was - something doesnt seem right. I agree. maybe staff re- training.
Restaurant canceled my order from their end after 30 minutes of waiting. When I called the store to inquire as to why it was canceled, it sent me to their voice-mail box, which was full. Extremely disappointing service, especially after waiting for so long, only to have them cancel it.
As a regular frequenter of the Japanese/Thai themed Spoon&Fork restaurants, I am always terrifically impressed by them, and very often have no issues whatsoever when visiting. On occasion, menu items change, and some that, while I may enjoy greatly, others are not fond of vanish, but such is life.
Great food and great service. Amazed how well the patio was serviced. Our go to restaurant for good food
Always have had good food here. Chicken and beef satay are incredible with the peanut sauce. Green curry is amazing. Sushi is always good. The pad Thai is a little too sweet. Calamari is good too. Ask for it made fresh.
Poor customer service. Wanted to put in a pick up catering order for 11:30am on a Thursday (called to put in order on Wednesday). But they absolutely refused saying they can only do 11:45am. While it's a 15mins difference it makes a HUGE difference for a company lunch at 12pm. Sharp. Very disappointed and will not be supporting this location going forward. Do better!
Unbelievable quality of sashimi amd other goodies, only thing i thought was pathetic was no free refills and each one for a small glass of sprite was 4.50 lol stick to water
Food is pretty good, but the service is a little bit slow for my liking. I am not sure why they are not moving to iPad ordering like other all-you-can-eat Sushi places. They have a server come up to each table and ask what the table would like all at once. It kind of gets annoying if it is busy and your server does not come around very often (to no fault of their own because they have to jump from table-to-table to take orders and bring food over). The menu is limited, but they are all delicious items. The servers themselves are friendly, and the restaurant is clean.
Very nice ambience, food and service is good quality, lunch price is $19.99 each / all you can eat. Tables are clean, plates and utensils are clean. Prompt service to ask for another dish. I had to clarify what was cooked and raw to be clear. Ice cream is also part of the buffet at the end of lunch. Overall I will return again.
My food was so bland and lacking any flavor. I ordered something listed as "spicy" which usually means it's going to at least have a little kick. Not even a slight hint of spice and was extremely mushy. I also ordered a dish with vegetables that was pretty bland and didn't have any rice or noodles with it. I ordered through Uber eats and there were no options for a side of rice or noodles, so I figured it might come with the dish. I would definitely not recommend this place for the price!
Horrible services. The waiter came to our table once every thirty minutes. Very slow. Food was over cooked.
to crowded no spacing out between tables felt crowded. Hope no one gets Covid from eating here ...they seriously need to start following the distancing rules
I’ll get right to the points that matter! Food is great! Atmosphere is great! Staff are efficient and friendly HOWEVER the service is undependable because orders seem to get mixed up or forgotten all together, staff need to work on that... It was my dads birthday and the whole experience surrounding that made up for the miscommunication because our waitress went above and beyond to make up for our last round of food being neglected. I still highly recommend this place because their all you can eat is a fantastic deal as long as you really make sure that you make your orders clear to the staff.
I've enjoyed all you can eat meals here at Oakville couple of times before pandemic, and the owner was fantastic and so kind. Went last weekend to support their business, but now, I feel the ownership has been changed or Covid changed their attitude - everything changed, especially food quality and service. Fried rice was salty and the salad had vegetables going bad. One waitress who I suspect is the new owner or related at least, was incredibly rude, being snappy, uncooperative, and shaming us for our orders. Really? Wasted my family's time and my money. I'll never go over again, and would like to share my experience that someone doesn't make the same mistake as me.
The staff, especially the manager, were very friendly and the food was great! I can't recommend it enough!
Quality of meat served is very bad. Staff are not friendly. Not a good place to dine in.
The best Spoon & Fork location I've been to. The food is pretty good and the service is fast. Most of the servers are really friendly.
Excellent quality and above average service. An overall excellent value and experience. I expect to increase my rating to 5 stars after a few more visits .
Used to be a good place... Something has definitely went wrong. Food is no longer good and service is just plain awful. This experience reminds me of days in 2010 where you stumble through many places and just hope to find something worth while. Currently there are way better options available and great timely service with it. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Hope this helps people to avoid such a disappointment...
The waiter with turquoise blue glasses has a bit of an attitude problem. Food was ok. There are far better Asian fusion places.
I went to spoon and fork for the first time today looking for a good ayce option. And I found a great option. Everything was amazing and the service was incredible. Thank you to the team for an amazing first experience.
Supreme ambience and miso soup. Staff are nice. The rest of the food is not that great. It didn't feel fresh and flavorful.
A great place to dine in and a great place to pick up takeout to indulge in sashimi, sushi and rolls. They also have other items on the menu. This is my to go place in Oakville.
Food was good but there were flies flying around which is never a pleasant experience. The servers were very hospitable but the service was too slow
Extremely racist and rude staff. Treated us very badly, swore at us, and refused to bring us our plates after we ordered them several times. Was very upset and disappointed in this place. Do not go there unless you want to be treated very badly and practically starve since they don’t bring out anything you order. Worst AYCE in the GTA.
Service
The dinner menu is very big with lots of options. Good service and tasty food!
For my first visit, I love the dark wood and minimalism vibe that the restaurant has made. The buffet food are small for tasting sample, which may be unusual for some people who wanted larger size. But the idea is to try many foods as small portion.
Friendly service and top notch food. Make a reservation to be seated quickly
Food is good. Some dishes are really good. Service is prompt. Just sometimes they make mistakes by bringing you the wrong orders but otherwise nice place.
It was the Sunday of Labour Long weekend around 5 pm, the food and the service was horrendous!!! We took the buffet option of $29 + plus tax per person, and everything we ordered was not fresh. Shrimp and yam tempuras were as cold as it can get, instantly establishing the food was not fresh, and set the tone for rest of the evening unfortunately. Every sushi item we had ordered had rice dried up to the point it was breaking off on its own, nothing sticky about those rice, the green seaweed was soggy when it should have been crispy, the vegetables in it were stale, the meat also was dried off. The only thing exceptional was the salmon sashimi, one of the best we had eaten. It seems to me that they were serving all the old and stale stuff to people having buffet when they are charging over $30 per person and probably not sure serving better quality food to a LA care. The attitude of the lady, short in height with short cropped hair, was extremely unwelcoming and kept on staring so bad. We felt like we were watched the whole time. Ambiance is lovely, no doubt about that but if you are sushi lover and enjoy quality buffet food, this is surely not the place to go to!!!!!!
We were at The Queensway location. It was our first time. The service was attentive. The kitchen cooked food was alittle salty. The sashimi was very fresh. My only issue was when I bite into a Hawaii roll, there was a very small piece of plastic. The head server did explained that the mango is from a container. She apologies. This is a hard time because of COV. As much as I was disappointed, we still give 15% gratitude. I hope the chef will be more careful.
Wide selection of scrumptious meals. Great ambiance for a date even though everyone is packed in tightly
I loved the big selection, but the server made me feel rushed. I like that they still have a birthday discount even though so many places have stopped. I thought all the food was ok. Nothing was stand out great to me though.
I could have rated them 5 stars but they keep on forgetting our orders.
Was there for a staff lunch. Friendly staff, quick with the orders. It's all you can eat. Everything is presented in small portions which is a good thing. Lots of space. Great place to eat with a big or small group.
Excellent food, great value on weekdays especially. The spread is delicious and worth trying out most things on the menu. The quantity in each serving is ideal and ensure that there is no waste. Keep ordering once you get a table!!! which is the most difficult part!! Book in advance and be there on time, else you end up at the end of the line!!
Great place to go and try new foods. Excellent selection and always pretty good service. I've been a number of times and would recommend this place especially for dinner.
Best value for all you can eat/ or order from menu fine dining restaurant.
Food was good, but didn't leave a lasting impression. The atmosphere was alright, it was very busy when I ate there and the servers were spread thin. Perhaps I'll try again in the future and change my review.
Spoon and Fork is a favourite but this time was so fun. We let our waiter do all our ordering! We tried different things and loved every minute. Best of all we were full but didn’t feel stuffed like we over ate. Great night out!!
Took a friend out for a birthday dinner. I chose the all you can eat option and the way it works is that you order off the menu and it comes out in sample sizes for 2... We started with 3 appetizers, and then 3 from the wok...next was 3 rice... the kimchi rice was amazing! 3 Thai and 3 sushi and then desert and tea. My friend was brought a piece of complimentary cheesecake with a birthday candle and had Happy birthday sung to her. I got 50% discount on her meal! Was a wonderful experience... great food, very attentive staff.
Not sure the reason for the negative reviews, we found the food to be extremely tasty and the staff were very kind, friendly and helpful! Great food and service!
I go here for lunch often. Not expensive. All you can eat menu is a nice way to try everything. Try the lemon grass soup.
Really overpriced... 30 bucks for all you can eat??? We had like 3 servers helping us and the food came so fast. Nice decor but the food just isn't great
Today i went there with my friends for lunch ,the food was good and the service was very fast ! And we had a very nice waitress i couldn’t know her name ,(she had blond hair )but she was very nice and smiling the whole time !honestly this is the first time i had a nice waitress in a sushi restaurant because most of time we had rude waitresses but today this waitress made our experience excellent and because of this amazing service i will give this restaurant 5 stars.
Great beef and chicken skewers! Love their all you can eat menu and the variety of selection. It is a little strange how there are pasta dishes and Italian food at a sushi AYCE restaurant.
Spoon and fork has definitely gone downhill for the past couple years. Flies around the restaurant Service is bad, ordered food never comes Food is below average, old and cold
All you can eat! Most food items are decent. They offer some interesting items like escargot. I like the menu variety, but they don't seem to have anything that are amazing.
Forced tips, service is not exceptional either. Sometimes if we order multiple things they would have missing items. The forcing tip part is extremely rude and unconventional. Never coming here again.
We went with another couple and with our infant. They were accommodating towards the infant , we let her run around and everyone was very helpful and cheerful. Great spot close to the highway, open late. Easy to find parking. Hit it up !
Horrible service. Ordered atleast 10 things off the menu and received only 4 out of 10 items. Really disappointing.
Service was great, constant removal of finished plates. Also each dish was was carefully placed with a kind "here you go" or for example. "Escargot" most AYCE places don't do this- little things that count. Food on point for a AYCE- sashimi and dim sum which was the majority items I've ordered were better than other places that specialize in them.
I'm a bit late in posting this review, but I have to say the team at Spoon and Fork did an outstanding job for our grandson's Baptism celebration. We booked the entire restaurant for the afternoon. It was a beautiful day in September, so their team opened the sliding doors and allowed for our guests to use the patio to socialize. Everyone, and I mean everyone had an incredible time!!!! The food was amazing- large portions and cooked to perfection!! We can't thank you enough for such a beautiful day and experience!! Anthony managed the day so well, and the entire team was super friendly and accommodating to our guests. You truly made our first sons baptism day a wonderful experience. We will definitely be looking to book our family celebrations here in the future! Thank you again!!
Appears a location Manager change. Service has definitely changed. Less attentive and long wait times between taking orders. Food quality is still good but they don't go out of their way anymore with service. Ordered Uber eats. Had to take away a star. Green Dragon was good. Crispy beef was disappointing and Japanese fried rice tasted like regular chicken fried rice. Seems like quality is slipping
My first time eating Ramen and I loved it! Would go again. And the service is amazing, the workers were extremely helpful and attentive. Do recommend ????
Dine in
A great place for all you can sushi/sashimi as well as other dishes, the decor is modern and clean, I would and have recommended it.
Good selection of all you can eat items. Good service too
Food quality is way down from older experience. Had not eaten here in over a year. Will not be back... better Thai elsewhere in town closer to home.
Ordered takeout. Waited 25 minutes. They never made our order. Asked for a refund and left. Will never be back.
Great food, and even better service!!
The food is very good, they changed the prices after the lockdown! Hawaiian blue tastes good as a cocktail, but it tastes just like a juice with no alcohol
YAY deep fried roaches for $20!! Appetite got ruined half way eating found this piece. This is not acceptable even during the pandemic. It will only cause more sickness and health/safety issues. I’m very disappointed.
The food here is really great and service is fast. Great selection too. Definitely going back soon. Our table was in love with the peanut chicken.
Serving a la carte buffet - asian fare. Sushi and maki rolls are of the "mass production" quality typical of a buffet. Service comes pretty quickly after ordering. Love that they have soft serve ice cream. The fried bananas as a dessert option was a real treat!
We love this place. Workers are so friendly, courteous, fast. The food is superior quality and served super fresh, hot and fast. The price is amazing. cheaper than other all you can eat chinese buffets and always hot fresh and served fast. We are here every 2 weeks and honestly never had a bad meal.
Food was good. Lewis our waiter did a decent job. There was a party of 80 there tonight so the booth we got was a little crammed. It was mentioned when the reservation was made that our group was celebrating a birthday and the info was not passed to Lewis. Anyway. It was a good experience.
The food was good but the manager came up to us and questioned the amount we tipped. He told us either tip more or don't tip at all. We felt insulted and left with a bad taste in our mouth.
Unfortunately, I have given this restaurant a few too many chances. I have eaten here a handful of times over the last 2 years. Each time, it seems that my experience gets worse and worse. I joined my family in a birthday celebration here on Friday October 13- First of all they gave us too small of table to accommodate our party (there was about 20 of us). We had to ask for them to add chairs to our table- when we asked the waitress asked if we could just squeeze together on the bench portion of our seating area. I guess comfort is not one of their priorities for their customers along with honesty. At the end of the meal everyone ordered their soft serve ice cream - btw this is on the all you can eat menu in VERY SMALL FONT - it does not indicate what flavours. After ordering a round of Green Tea ice cream, we asked to order more for those who were not aware they offered it. They then brought the manager, and they had explained to us that they were out of the green tea ice cream. Unlucky for the manager, some of our family members understood Cantonese (the language they spoke), and overheard the manager tell the server that "Green Tea ice cream is not on the menu for All you Can Eat". We were buzzing with the information, but decided not to make any complaints on it since we were near the end of our meal anyway. Later on we see guests around us being served the Green Tea ice cream. We confronted the waitress and she said "it's $4 for the green tea ice cream". When it boils down to it, it's just bad customer service because, if you made a mistake and had just explained it to us, we would had understood. We weren't going to start a problem with a restaurant trying to make money at the end of the day. The problem is that they had the nerve to lie to us, when we were a large party bringing them business. On top of this, they wanted to charge us a refill fee on soft drinks, I think I asked for a refill on my water more than 5 times during this sitting, they cut us off on ordering food (we were only here for 1 hour), when asked when a plate was being served, they actually answered us with "I don't know, maybe it's still coming", they didn't bring out the food we actually ordered, their hand rolls were thick with hard left over rice, with NO salmon or meat filings in them, and when they were bringing our dishes, they expected US to move the items on the table and place the dishes ourselves. Overall, time and time again it is a major disappointment here. The main issue is the customer service. If you're ok with paying for bad customer service and mediocre food, then this is the place to be. If not, I highly suggest finding another restaurant.
all you can eat... if someone bring the food. The environment is good, but the food is almost ok. The service is lazy. The sushi is hard to eat. When the waiter ask if the food is good, say YES, otherwise he will insult you.
Outstanding food experience every time. Their all-you-can-eat portions are perfect over long chats with old friends. Service is quick and efficient. Must try their honey ginger green tea as an accompaniment to your meal.
Food was good but a lil 2 expensive
Good place for Sushi, Thai and Chinese food. You can try it once for sure.
Excellent service. Polite staff. Yummy food. Keep it up S&P!!!! We walked in super late for a Sunday and they accommodated us with a smile!
I usually go there when I want to eat more than sushi. If you or your guests are not so keen on sushi and want to try other dishes then this place is for you. Service was fast and friendly. Prices have gone up but I guess this is everywhere.
It takes a while for restaurant staff to get back into the swing of working as a team. This was our first time at Spoon&Fork. We were there on the evening of July 9th and had to wait 30 min to be seated on the patio as indoor was still not available. We decided to do AYCE. Our server came by pretty quickly and took our 1st order (they don't have the e-order pads). From that point the process became chaotic. We ended up getting orders from different tables and missing orders we put through or the order would have different amounts than we ordered. The food was just ok. The menu is not as extensive as in some other AYCE sushi places. At this point they are only serving the dinner menu. With 2 teas, the bill was $90 not including tip for the 2 of us. I should also mention that is was an unseasonably cold evening and the restaurant didn't have any patio heaters. All in all, I don't think we will be going back.
Meal type
The food here is always fresh and the rice doesn't come out stiff-- ever. I usually go for the sashimi and maki, but the sushi is amazing too! My friends and I love the beef tataki (the sauce is delicious and the meat comes out just perfect --rare). I've never gotten sick here, so I know the quality is always carefully observed by the staff and master chief. All in all, ambience is relaxed & friendly, and the customer service is great. It does get quite busy, so you may have to wait a while longer for your food to come. Pro tip? Order 2 rounds in 1. You'll be just finished eating when they come back to your table so you can order more food. :) It normally gets busy between 5-8pm, so reserve a seat in advance.
Great food and price
Consistently top flavour and great value
The stars are for the extremely poor service. We were barely waited on. We were literally waiting 15 - 20 min each time for the guy to come take our orders. Terrible system of ordering food for an all you can eat restaurant. You have to remember what you want to order, as the guy writes it down! Invest in a paper pad so people can write it themselves!! Everything was average. But the tatakis and sashimi are very good. Used to be very good in the past, I don't think I will ever visit again.
The food and service are excellent. I loved the ambiance.
Great Food, 5 star quality for sure.
This restaurant was one of my favourites in Oakville. Since COVID-19, the quality has gone down quite extremely, especially in portion size and taste. Thankfully, more available options in Oakville.
We enjoyed the restaurant and the food was tasty and it was a nice diverse mix of flavors and textures. Unfortunately the service was poor, and they seemed to decide that we were fine and had to be repeatedly hailed back to our table for continued service.
Always a pleasure eating here. Staff are better than amazing. So friendly and prompt. Food is delicious and you never have to wait long. Ambiance is great for family or a date. Just go hungry because there are so many options. I don't think there is anything on the menu we don't like. Enjoy you meal!
Love the sushi here. Always fresh!
All you can eat Lunch service is terrible We waited an average of 15 minutes between orders. Food was decent but lost its lustre due to the poor service. Second time visiting and still a disappointment.
Lunch
Our family went there for all you can it diner on a Friday night. The service was good. The first round of food was very good and delicious. However, the third round of fried wings and ribs were just ok, quite disappointing. However, there were a good variety of choices. will give them another chance. hope it's just an isolated case.
Great food. Fast service. I would like to come back as I did not get to try everything that I wanted on the menu. It was all SO good.
Really like the added Thai options, always enjoy the food here .
Same great spoon and fork. Usual fare. Quick service ..
We all enjoyed it. Service was fast and friendly.
What's not to love? Beautiful decor, fresh food seconds from the hands of a master chef. We'll be back
All you can eat Lunch menu is a little limited in regards to Sushi choices. On the plus side there is some sashimi included inthe AYCE lunch menu. Food quality is good. Loved the Calamari and Pad Thai. Service is excellent. Attentive servers. Free wifi too.
Glad they have sashimi in lunch menu..and loved the basil sauce fish..so spicy but yummy..I just wish they included some dessert in the ayce, but overall good.
The food was good, the service was a little slow at times but friendly and welcoming despite the covid restrictions. They were very attentive if we asked for something they were helpful. We felt safe and far from everyone even though we ate indoors. As always their ice cream is very tasty and I only wish it were a large serving size.
We had reservations for a large group and when we arrived on time, they did not have our table set up. We, as a large party, stood awkwardly at the front for 10 minutes. The service was horrible. The food was cold and took long to bring out. The server attempted to explain that each order is made to order but after 30ish mins of waiting even the server was astonished when the order wasn’t ready. It’s my first and last time here. Not sure if any of the previous 5 star rating people left before are valid.
I've been Spoon & Fork on another location which left me a very good impression. This place got nice decoration, friendly waitress. But the food quality is just not as good. My stomach complaint right after the meal. The duty manager was even worse, rude and unprofessinal...damaged the image of Spoon & Fork.
For an all you can eat sushi and Asian cuisine, this place is a definite go to! The fish selection is good and fresher than other places in you'd find in downtown. Their other Asian starters and main dishes (Japanese and Thai mostly) are also good and tasty. This place won't disappoint, the only reason why it's not a 5 star is the service, it may disappoint you at times that servers may take orders wrong, don't visit table often, and forget orders or repeat others. This may also be due to reopening after Covid with more capacity that average for the past year. Great place nonetheless!
This place ruined my day. Me and a couple other guys got all you can eat, and let me tell you, it was bad. I ordered some salmon sashimi (8 pieces) I got 2 pieces and I thought oh it must come in waves, I wait and I wait. I get annoyed so I order a roll (spicy California) (highly recommend) and I waited and I waited and it never came. I than got upset and ordered 2 rolls and a yellow curry hoping Atleast one would come. I Recieved 1 roll and the curry was cold. I then spoke to the waiter about this problem and than I was told that they "don't know what happened" which may have been the case, but it's not something I want to hear when asking where the food I ordered is. I then ordered a couple more things, some came, some didn't. It was outrageous how much they messed up with the food I ordered. We came on a Monday and around 2:50 pm. Not sure if the service had anything to do with that, but the service was below expectation. It was horrible.
So delicious and fast, excellent for team building
It was my favourite restaurant before loved bringing friends for dinner, but over the years the service got poorer. When you choose the all you can eat you'll notice the delivery of food becomes slower as you order. I think it's kind of a trick to slow down the delivery because you have a two hours limit to stay and order. Not worth my dinner money anymore.
Great menu well run and following COVID protocols
Love this spot for quick all you can eat sushi on week nights! The patio is nice but quite loud at times. Food is always great and the service is fast.
The greeter at the door failed to ask whether we wanted the a la carte or all you can eat experience and so, when we ordered did the waiter. As a result, we received miniscule portions of what we ordered and were nonplussed because the dishes cost a lot according to our menu on our phone, but there was nothing to show on the plate! A few questions later we were much more at ease. Scary! As for the food, it's just okay. I would recommend Mandarin over this any day of the year. It's too sweet and lacks texture. The only dish I would recommend is the prawn curry. That was well done. Desert is vanilla or chocolate ice cream. Or swirl.
Excellent food and great service.
Great food and fun place to meet with friends!
I went for all you can eat. Good price. Nice size portions. The taste of the food was ok. .. I received fast service as they brought my orders out quickly. I prefer the etobicoke location though.
Decent service. Food was great. We had "all you can eat", which was totally value for money. More "buffet" style restaurants should switch to the Fork n Spoon service at the table model.
All you can eat sushi Resturant was good, with family and was nice experience i do recommend to visit.
The Best all you can eat Sushi Restaurant! Great Asian Food. Friendly staff, and a nice place! Lots of Vegetarian options. We will be going back!
main complaint: miso soup on menu was labeled suitable for vegetarians but when i asked the waitress, she said there was likely fish in it MAKING IT NOT VEGETARIAN - either fix your menu or educate your employees more
Good food, quick service, friendly staff. A bit too pricey
Very tasty Thai & Sushi restaurant ????
Great selection of food if you dine-in for their AYCE. The prices are also really reasonable (especially on your birthday!). I love their sushi so much I even come here for take-out. Their catering menu has a lot of options for party trays that are good alternative if you want to take out instead.
I have been to every all you can eat sushi restaurant in the GTA and Hamilton. This place is hands down the best and most consistent with not only taste but the quality of the fish which is really the most important thing you can look for in my opinion.
We frequent this place and service has been very good until the last visit. Manager had the evening off. The male waiters were rude but the female waitresses were kind and served us well.
Slow service. Waiting over 25 minutes for a salad. Probably because its take 20 minutes for the mind to know ur full from the stoumac and they believe in really streching that time. Restaurant was half full. Makes me want to open up next door with a restaurant called spork
Thought it was a good place to eat out, it turns out very disappointing. Price is good for all you can eat, but food quality and services of the waiters need to be improved.
Terrible place. Took over an hour to get any food. Was not even busy. Will not be returning.
Very good selection of food
Lovely selection of food. Nice ambiance and extremely lovely service. We had Nicole taking care of us and she was over the top amazing.
Good food for its price, especially during lunch time. They have an all you can eat menu that includes sashimi!
Food was OK, environment was not bad either, but the service was absolutely terrible, I don't remember that we'd ever experienced such bad service in entire GTA area for over a decade. Canadians are known to be polite, sensible and generous, and we'd like to be treated the same, especially as paying customers, with kid! We thought we just had bad luck today, ran into some middle aged waiter who might be going through some personal crisis as we speak, but after going through many other reviews here I'm no longer sure about that, because obviously we are not alone with what we experienced. I can't stop wondering whether the owner knows what's happening here? Or maybe he/she knows but somehow chose not to care? Either case to us it's no longer relevant. To end this review in a typical Canadian way: To our waiter: I'm sorry that I did not give you any tip today, but I believe you knew why; To the owner: I'm sorry that we will not be your customers any more...
Delicious sushi and sea food. Amazing service and decent ambiance at the restaurant. ????????????????
Excellent menus, friendly and pleasant staff and mostly, very affordable price. Keep it up guys
The food is ok but service is horrible. After two big table sat down beside us no one ever came around to take our order, when they did they were in a total rush. The guy who gave us the bill (I’m tempted to but I will not name drop him) literally walked away before we could told him it’s separate and was ready to start a fight when we told him later. It was only the start of the day and he was already losing patience.
It's supposedly "All you can taste" but their portions are too big for a taste. So you don't really get to try many things. Their food isn't that great. Moreover their customer service is week and the servers aren't well behaved.
After being in the Barrie location we were disappointed . The food was good but not as good. The service was not great, items were missed multiple times and desserts were limited to ice cream. This may be due to covid and lack of iPad like interfaces. We notice smaller portions and less choice as well. The food was altogether good, fresh and hot. The servers were polite and attentive for cleaning up our dishes and delivering the dishes hot. We all got our money's worth but would probably save our next visit for the Barrie location
Just luv it. Food I'd delicious ????n u don't have to wait long for it to be served
Horrible experience continued from the beginning till the end. 1. The receptionist did not offer a table until we said we cannot wait and leave..what’s the purpose of keeping people standing? 2. He touched and pinched my toddler’s cheek three times without asking. It’s not acceptable as it’s rude. 3. The server catered a dish that was not belong to us, which was okay. But he took it back so abruptly with no word or apology.. 4. The sever did not take an order nor asked if anything we need, not even once..he spent all his time at the group tables, completely ignoring us..it’s not professional. 5. I was heading out with kids while my wife was paying at the front.. The server ran into me and blocked, asking loudly if I paid..Excuse me? 6. Well, my wife returned to us and said the bill was wrong..they counted us 4 adults..(we were 2 adults, 1kid and 1 toddler, and I remember I told the server twice). Grrr, the worst thing was these all happened in one visit... If you do not care about service, go as food is fair..but I won’t go again this place..it was not a pleasant experience.
Mediocre food quality and service is sup-par due to short of staff on a busy night. Not recommended.
This old guy spoke chinese to us. We dont speak chinese but he continued to speak chineses. When we were trying to order lots of things that we asked werent available. He tried to walk way when we didnt finish our order. Very poor service. I don't usually write the review but honestly if they want more people to come they should hire servers who can actually be friendly and know what they are doing.
It was a nice dinner! Tasted Escargot, and eel for the first time, loved it. Really wide variety, definitely recommend.
This restaurant has gone downhill in recent months. The staff is indifferent and seem not to care at all to make your dining experience pleasant. The service is very slow and the food is mediocre. Too bad as it was one of our favourites.
We've been coming here for years and think it has one if best options for AYCE sushi (& thai food). Service has gone down for sure - slower and not as friendly. We've experienced the same issues cinsistently the last 3 times we went - No miso soup available (really?), need to ask for wasabi, slow service (possibly understaffed). The quality of the food though is what keeps us going back!
The petite portion sizes allow you to sample many dishes. We went the sushi and sashimi route and added some other dishes. Came home exceedingly happy!
One of the best places we have ever gone to. We went as a group of 11 that have never been here before. Service was great, food was amazing. Location was cute and cozy. Great decor. Would recommend.
I feel the overall rating is lower than it should be. Went on Saturday and experienced excellent attentive service and good quality food. If you're eating lots, the trick is to order more before you run out of what's in front of you. Always seems to be a lineup on the weekend so earlier us better.
"All you can eat " - lots of selections, food is tasty, good value
I'm disappointed. The place is fancy, but there are some issues with customer service. Too much avocado in the rolls; also, salmon teriyaki, miso soup was cold - even after I complained. It took too long to get the things I ordered... It's not a great experience for a Japanese food lover, definitely.
Love this place so much, definitely we will come back again soon. Squid sashimi is my favorite, very fresh.
Had take out and won't be ordering again. Worst Pad-Thai I've ever had. Barely any meat and the sauce was not only too sweet but had an odd taste. In my husbands rice was a hair... yuck.
Everything was fine. It was way too expensive for what it was. You’re paying for the physical space. The food was all mediocre and disappointing. The ayce dinner menu was limited. Many of the typical items you’d expect at any sushi restaurant weren’t there - no shrimp tempura, no black dragon roll, no butterfish hand roll. All the food was cold. The spicy salmon roll was soggy and tasted pre-made. The fish was fine, a little fishy so not the best quality.
Love their starters, Tempura, Mango Salad, sashimis, California Rolls. Their Beef Teriyaki is divine. Love to entertain clients, hangout with friends and family.
The food quality is decent but service has been on the decline for the past little while. Missing items from our order, servers not coming by at all. Not sure if the place is understaffed or just bad staff. I'm assuming it is understaffed but still the last time we were here we saw larger tables get better service due to the higher amount in potential tips. I would skip this location and head over to the other one on Neyagawa.
My boyfriend and I have come here many times over the years for certain family occasions and always struggled to find staff that knew what 'all you can eat' options there were for vegans. We always ended up playing it safe with just rice and edamame. We were there a few days ago for a big family lunch and had a server with blue glasses that was extremely helpful in helping us order carefully. He even offered to have non-vegan options made vegan just for us, which was never offered to us before. He went out of his way to do this and kept coming back to the table when he thought of something new he could do to have something from the menu be made vegan for us! We usually only eat a select few things, but now we know that there are tons of options for us! We are so grateful and truly appreciate how he went out of his way to make the annoying vegans happy!
Not much choices of food not like before, not good food. staff are not friendly, not nice, needs more training to treat costumers.
This restaurant is all you can eat served at the table. The menu has a lot of different options and many are decent. Great for small to medium sized parties. Busy place and you should make sure you have lots of time blocked to visit, but worth going. Lots of free parking available. A number of dishes have peanuts in them, so if you have a strong allergy to them, be warned.
So happy for this restaurant to be opened again. Never disappointed. Staff were friendly and very welcoming. Thanks so much for great lunch
Good food, decent service. Try the Thai Dumplings. They're yummy!
Love this place! So much flavour, colour, and atmosphere. Great service, been here twice and cant wait to come back.
I took the family here for mother's Day and I have to say that this was the best service and experience that I've had in a long time! Our server was Seher, and she was just remarkable. Even with a full restaurant she made sure our waters were never empty and we never waited long for our food to hit the table. I would recommend asking to sit in her section if you ever eat here. As for the food, it was just as great! The calamari was fried to perfection and the sashimi was very well cut. The salman was beautiful and lean along with the surf clan! Overall, this was a great experience and I would highly recommend this location for small and big events.
Have not gone to any of the Spoon and Fork places but it seems like each a one has Good and poor reviews And with Google having random people up selling places they never been to I thought i would add my 2 cents ..On a night out You want value for your money I dont care if the waiter isn't smiling But the food needs to be fresh and cooked proper and on my table on a fair amount of time Seems this place fails to provide many of these Would you really want a "Hit and Miss" night out With your money on the line?
Great for big groups. The food selection is plenty and everyone that goes there will find something on the menu.
Meal type
It's all you can eat restaurant. Very nice food however because you can only order couple of things at a time and the portion is very small you end up having dinner over 2 hours because you have to wait every time you order something for it to be prepared, wait for someone to bring it to your table then you have to wait for the waitress to order something else and repeat. Lol, I think it's a tactic so you don't really eat "all you can eat" lol.
My favourite restaurant in Oakville. Love the all you can taste concept, excellent service, nice ambiance. On par with downtown Toronto dining.
Met up here after a long day at work, wasn't disappointed! We did all you can eat. Louis gave us excellent service and tasty recommendations, food was delicious, prepared fresh and quick. Nice atmosphere.
I only gave it a 2 star because they are open during covid for patio. But their options are limited and they charge for green tea ice cream 4 dollars!! For 2 scoops. What rip off. Green tea isn't free either. Like its just hot water. Unbelievable.
They have sushi!!!!!!!!! Did you guys know that????????????? Here is a picture of my cat Sushi
One of the best places for Thai and Japanese in Oakville. The food is flavourful, portions are great and the price is so reasonable. Most importantly, I love their incredible service. Their staff person, Gordon, is amazing and so welcoming. I highly recommend this place, see you soon Spoon and Fork!
Terrible service. Server gave attitude for no reason. We were polite and respectful, and he treated us like we are a bother. Never had water refilled after requesting multiple times. Food is below average at this price point, even for all you can eat.
Ordered few dishes , Chicken and Veg. however the portion size was not enough . the noodles especially chicken one having smell of seafood , look like the noodles were fried/cooked after they cooked the seafood in same utiencill without …
Great service and great food.
Had a very good all-you-can-eat experience here. The service was great, which you don't usually get at an AYCE. The food variety was decent and the food itself really good. Will definitely return.
Great place! Best buffet in the area (and there are lots around). Quickly served (rolls came out later than I’d hoped but didn’t impact experience), spacious and clean bathrooms, food was great, no complaints
For an all you can eat, it's above average. Give it a go! Not just sushi; they also do small plates of the rest of their menu (bento, Thai, etc.).
Went there for buffet dinner but some of the food items were not even on the buffet menu. You have to ask the server for these. Not a good buffet experience at all. Won't visit again.
Food was fresh and tasty, service started off very nicely, but then waned. We waited for excessive amounts of time between dishes from "taster menu." Some other tables got multiple items served and we got one at a time sometimes with 15 minutes between items. First item was teriyaki steak - lovely, but took 15 min's for rice to arrive and never got 4 items (maki roll, mango chicken - ordered twice, salmon sushi and second order of taster chicken teriyaki) over the course of the meal. I'm not a big eater and was there with my 15 yr old son - took 2 hours for our small meal. Toward middle of meal, waiter would ask if we wanted another dish and would ask "you didn't get yet?" we said no and he'd not return again or follow up.... 15 mins later we get one dish from another server, then sometimes another dish within a few mins and sometimes another 15 mins for the second item. MAY CONSIDER a la carte but would not go back for buffet. Sad because I've heard it's so good and the food was nice - just a long hungry experience.
This is the best restaurant in the GTA imo. Delicious food and sushi and it's all you can eat in a post-covid healthy way ????
Staffs are nice. Foods are not to come back. Rolls have a lot avocado, cheese, cucumber, rice or crab imitation in stead of fish. Food taste is so so. I have been to Mississauga place, so I am disappointed with my experience here.
Extremely mediocre food with extremely high price point
I really like this restaurant and how they have things done. This location in Oakville is a lot smaller than the one in Barrie that I usually go to but the food is just as good. Definately would come here again.
Delicious!! Great for work lunch, dinner, or event. Staff is great, food is fantastic - haven't tried the Italian???
Sushi and sashimi selection was very limited and not fresh. They did not even serve tuna (maguro) which is a common household item at any japanese restaurant. Hawaiian roll was very dull and dry. Rest of the menu that were non japanese were good, but I wouldn't go there again though.
Classy sushi place. The food is very good, presented nicely. The service is very good, attentive servers. The menu has a lot of options but I wish there had more images as I don’t really know what those names mean. Yes I could ask the server but I would have preferred if the menu was more visual of the food itself. It’s an all you can eat but you can also order a la carte or take out. It’s more expensive than others good quality all you can eat sushi places but I feel that the good service is what makes this place stand out.
Great food and the staff are very accommodating as well. We were quite late for a reservation last week and they patiently waited for us. ????
Food was good but way overpriced. Some dishes weren't the best, thebpad Thai was really bad.
Good service, Friendly staff, decent food. Lots of Thai flavors.
Very good service, all you can eat dishes are good quality. I would recommend a larger menu to compete with other all you can eat sushi restaurants
Very nice place, delicious food!
Went for all you can eat lunch. Always happy with the food and service. Sushi and rolls are amazing. The rolls aren't huge, and are stuffed with great ingredients, so you don't feel like you are eating only rice. The portions also are not huge so you can try many different types without feeling like you are over eating.
Used to be excellent but this place has gone down hill. Food is OK but used to be great. Service is OK but used to be great. Today they kept getting our order wrong and our server is very crusty. Don't get me wrong, it's still hard to find a fusion all you can eat this good, but this place used to be outstanding. This very well be our last visit.
Food was excellent. They have a few new menu items that are a must to try - the Lobster Taco and calamari tempura rolls were excellent
Always a great experience with AYCE sushi and wok options. Portions are enough for tasting a great variety of plates a service is good too
Very good all you can eat Japanese and Thai restaurant. Great service. You order whatever you want from the menu at your table and they brig the food in perfect small portions to you. You can order as many times as you want. The price includes appetizers, main course, desert and cold and hot beverage.
Have dined here many times over the years. Would have rated it 5 stars 2 years ago. Waitress said it’s under new management now. The food portions are significantly smaller than in the past. And the quality of food has gone downhill. Curries are still really good. The sushi was ok. Teriyaki’s are not good any more, especially the chicken, bland and watery. Tempera shrimp was undercooked. The waitress was really nice and we had several other servers visit our table with dishes. I think the smaller portions make the wait staff have a lot more running around to do. Overall the meal was good but disappointing compared to the past.
Come here when you’re hungryyyy! Great selection of food that’s made fresh. One of the best all you can in the city for sure.
Good quality for all you can eat. All a la carte. Price is ok at 30$ after tipping.
This is the only place, and only location I will purchase Japanese food! So good!
Amazing customer service, great food and it’s fresh.
Food quality has changed drastically from when I was here 3 years ago. Maybe it was because of the minimum wage increase, I’m not sure. But if it was the same quality when I used to eat here on occasions I would give 5
Not bad overall. Service is fine and the selection is good(hot food+sea food). The hot food is great, but the seafood is not very fresh. You get what you payed for, can't expect much more then that. *Edit: You might want to order all of your seafood in one go because they will start to hold back your seafood order(s) after that.
I really love this restaurant. If you want a bite of many things this is the place for you. The prices are fair. The service is quick and friendly. There is lots of parking and it's a very convenient Etobicoke location at 1233, 24 The Queensway #24, Etobicoke, ON M8Z 1S1. It's not that fancy but it is a great treat. I highly recommend.
