This place is all about ambiance. If you want to experience Polish place from 80's - should be first on your list. Stuff is very friendly and attentive, prices are great. Once you are there (and you should visit the place) do not forget to ask Turkish coffee - really great.

A once amazing place to dine is now quite an average experience. The atmosphere remains charming and the service both warm and very friendly, but the food is not the quality it always had been. The schnitzels are now thinner, smaller and lack the crispness that characterized them as only Izba could. You can still count on a tasty, filling meal, but the people who have been handed the torch from the original owners definitely need to bring back the standards they were given in order to make this incredible restaurant shine brightly again.

I've eaten here 2 times. Very authentic homestyle restraunt. I am no expert in Polish(?) Cuisine..but it's simple, tasty,, hearty food, reasonably priced. I look forward to exploring more of the menu in future visits.

The food is really amazing. Everything is definitely fresh and authentic. The borshch was incredible. Only four stars because the service wasn’t that great and it’s kind of old and not upkept; however the table areas and dishes were clean. This place is definitely excellent though and highly recommend!

You won't find many places like this in Toronto. Even the building from the outside is pretty unique to the city, in that it looks like it belongs more in some mountain town in Europe than it does in North America. One of the things I liked most about Europe was their schnitzel. When I ordered the potato pancake and the schnitzel at Izba, I was not disappointed. Very generous portions and most importantly, it was delicious! If you want some authentic European food to fill your belly served by legitimately friendly folks, give this place a try.

Used to come here monthly with my family years ago and the owners knew my parents very well and usually threw in a loaf of bread or salad for free. Service is friendly, decor gives you that old European style feel. Their schnitzel is fresh and you can hear the chefs pounding and flattening the meat in the kitchen.

Owner is very nice. Provided an order of perogies on the house which has a lot to do with my rating. Portions are good and food has a home made taste. I did not find the Schnitzel super tasty nor my side potatoes. The perogies was not a favorite of mine as the onions on top were cooked in a wine sauce that was a bit strong for my taste. Prices seem reasonable for the amount of food I got.

For local Eastern European perogies, schnitzel and cabbage rolls, this restaurant is authentic. 39 years in business owned by a husband and wife. They are down to earth and very pleasant. The husband served us tonight and was so friendly and happy. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This place turned out to be an amazing surprise!! It's a combination of Austrian, Hungarian and Polish cuisine... It's the closest thing to home cooked meals I have experienced in a very long time!! Stopped by this local gem on a Friday evening to kick off the weekend. Friendly service, and honest, home-made food. Brought me back to my travels in Austria and Germany. Don't let the dated-interior and homey service deter you. Some folks expected a 2-star Michelin experience, which is not realistic. The folks who run this place keep it real and try to pour their hearts into keeping customers happy. Food and service were both great. Pictured is the Vienna schnitzel. Dash of lemon, salt, and pepper, and you'd be nothing short of smiling!

Absolutely beautiful setting serving delicious, traditional European food. Highly recommend the pierogi entrée, I am obsessed with the caramelized onions on top. Outstanding service, we were served by a very kind gentleman who went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. Pricing is very affordable as well!

My parents have told me how good this place was. I should have listened more carefully, they mentioned how good it used to be. While the food was alright the meals were small and the food was unfortunately bland. The goulash one of our party had was nothing more than a broth with few veggies or meat. Overall not one of the worst meals I've had, but when I know of better places to eat in the area I know this will not be a place I will be returning to soon.

Got invited for my friend’s birthday here. Some dedicated parking spots, but not many. Not a large restaurant but cosy and nice. Eastern European / European food: pirogies with potatoes, cabbage rolls, borsch and other soups, schnitzel, tea and coffee. Restaurant gets busy in the evening, good to call and reserve your spot in advance. I had a Vienna Schnitzel with salad and a Turkish coffee, they also serve complimentary fresh and delicious rye bread. Server was friendly and patient with a smile. Overall good experience, delicious food and live music. Will be back again when I have a chance. Thank you IZBA.

Incredible food and service! Sat outside in their cute courtyard patio, which they didn't have ready yet, but, set up for us when we asked if w could sit outside! :) The food is soooo good. Schnitzel is enormous and the mushroom sauce to dip in is seriously to die for...greek salad was super tasty and the perogies are delicious too. Cheap wine and beer also. Dont think twice...just go check it out!

The food is very good and not too expensive, they have a nice patio too. Unfortunately when I have been there, the serving time was very, very slow even though were there only 2 or 3 tables occupied (a couple of times).... Last time new ladies were there and nobody came to us for 20min at least to offer a drink...we found one lady, she was nice, but it didn't help much, nothing still was offered...unfortunately we had to leave..it's a nice place, but no wonder why not too many people go there lately. Maybe I haven't been on days when the owner is there.. Even though the food is great, I'm not sure if I'll come back in the near future... :((

Never again!!! My wife wanted to visit this restaurant for a long time. We tried it out today and had a huge disappointment. The service was lacking in appearance, knowledge and experience. The building itself had a really nice curb appeal (hence the one star). Interior design was lacking in upkeep, decor and cleanliness. Food was tasteless, extremely greasy and lacked presentation. Utensils and plates have seen better years too. I am surprised this location is in business as a restaurant. I believe it would do much better as a bar serving finger food on side.
