Prashant was a welcoming host...He gave us some good recommendations for spicy food. We got the cashew green curry. Also, The chef jaypal came up to our table, chatted with us about the food..gave us to try his famous bhuna chicken which we originally wanted to order.. The food here is finger looking good as you can clearly see there was no time to post before pics.... definitely going back to try all their dishes.. authentic Indian cooking is what you can expect here.

This was definitely a feast! The Dahl was really my favourite, it wasn't heavy and thick, the flavour was so balanced with a unique sweetness that is not commonly found!!! Wondering flavours across the board!!! Well done!

I ordered take out from this place and I can honestly say the taste was amazing. The picture doesn’t do it a bit of justice, as I also ordered garlic naan which was fantastic. For the price I would recommend dining there, as opposed to take out as there isn’t a price difference, so ideally the value is best if you get the full experience but the food will not disappoint!

The food is incredibly delicious, some of the best Indian food I've ever had. I had the mater paneer and it was awesome. The staff were helpful and friendly. Even though the restaurant is small, there is quite a bit of seating area for dining in.

Amazing Authentic Awesome ???????? Really enjoyed the the bone in butter chicken with a distinctive tomato sauce not overly sweet, bhoona goat curry and achaari paneer. My husband Bobby who is from Delhi visited taste heaven for sure with the butter chicken similar to his childhood memories. I want to give an honest review. There is no adequate parking and the washroom had no paper towels and it was dirty. These things should improve. In food, we tried the butter chicken and onion naan. Chicken was sour, it taste like a cheese tomato not like a butter chicken. In last but best of the restaurant was workers. Manager of the restaurant was so courteous and smiling face. This is one of the best Indian food in Canada. Chef makes it especially as per your taste which you would only find in 5 star’s for heavy money. My recommendation is cashew chicken. Finger licking , mouth watering stuff. Came from Ottawa just to have this awesome food.

A group of six people went to the restaurant last night (Saturday). We were greeted by a man who seemed to be the owner and also, by "The Chef" himself...! They sure made us feel welcome. We ordered a bunch of dishes they recommended and they could not have been better...! A nice mix of spicy and sweet. Lots of food and a very decent price. Easy to find... park in the back. I hope they are here to stay and don't increase their prices (as many restaurants of the area do...). Definitely recommend it...!

We came for the first time today and was pretty happy with the food. Except from the lentil soup which was a bit sour to our liking, everything else was delish. The portion is generous and the gentleman serving us was very friendly too, love his suggestion for the chicken! Definitely will come here often.

Hands down. Best Indian Food in Toronto I had in a decade. Best part, very close to my place. I always appreciate a dish which is prepared out of love and care, and just not ingredients thrown in a pan full of oil. EVERY dish we order is exceptionally good. First time I ordered, I cried out of happiness and then called to thank them. I have not been to the restaurant due to lockdown but I will the moment it opens. Through my conversation with the owner/cook, they seem to be nice, genuine and hard working people who put their soul in the food they prepare ????

Went here for the first time this past weekend, we had a large group near the end of the day. I had the Butter Chicken with Samosas for an appetizer, the Naan and rice with peas were all cooked to perfection! I heard no complaints at all from my friends, everyone enjoyed their meals. My first time here. I’ve tried many Indian reataurants. Feast of Dilli by far made the tastiest butter chicken ever. There’s a depth of taste like no othet. Saag paneer was beautifully done with a hint of heat and not greasy at all.

I have been here probably 4 or 5 times with my family, both dining in (pre-COVID) and now getting take-out during COVID. I always get the matar paneer with garlic naan and I have never been disappointed. It is always delicious and very flavourful. The food is ready relatively quickly. The portion sizes are enough to fill you up. The staff have always been polite to us. My family will continue to come here and I would highly recommend this place.

Worst experience ever. Religious festival (Diwali) ruined. Earlier this evening I called the restaurant and asked how long delivery would take. I was told 40 to 60 minutes. I placed my order vua Skip the Dishes as 5.49 pm. Our family was celebrating Diwali. The order was supposed to be delivered between 6.55pm and 7.25 pm. At 8.15 pm I started chatting with customer service at Skip the dishes to track my order. I kept chatting till around 9.30pm and they could not contact this restaurant. I also called around 20 times from 2 different numbers and could not get through. The kids were getting hungry so we had to make something for them. We kept waiting thinking the delivery was delayed. The grandparents left without eating. Skip the dishes gave a refund. But the food never showed up and our Diwali was ruined. I've ordered food for decades from restaurants. This has been the worst delivery experience of my life. Unbelievably unprofessional service. Would never recommend this place.

I would give this place a 3.5 star. As others have said, it’s a “Hole in the wall” with great food. I am a huge fan of Indian cuisine! When I was recommended to try “Feast of Dilli” by a friend I was stoked to try it! My wife and I arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. The place was quiet / empty so we were able to sit anywhere we wanted, we decided on a booth. Appetizers: 1)Veg Samosa 10/10 2)Veg Pakora 10/10 Our apps were to die for ! My favorite part of the meal actually ! Extremely fresh, nice and hot, very authentic/home made. Our server also brought us complimentary papadums which were also fantastic! Main dishes: (we decided to order a bunch of our favorites so we could try a little bit of everything & take home the leftovers) 1)Aloo Gobi 6/10 2)Muttar Paneer 7/10 3)Saag Paneer 6/10 4)Chicken Vindaloo 7/10 This is where they lost one star from my review. The portions were perfect, and the dishes came out nice and hot. Everything tasted very fresh and not overly oily / greasy but the flavours seemed to be a little bland/ less exciting when compared to their appetizers. Now I do understand that each locale in India cooks slightly different and my tastes might be slightly different than the next person. The main dishes were good but not amazing. If I were to go again I may ask the server for their recommendations rather than ordering the same dishes again. I should add the garlic naan was very good ! The other missing half star would be due to the points below: 1) the restaurant is not anything special to look at, if you are looking for a killer atmosphere this isn’t the spot for you. It’s a small/ cozy, looks like it needs a little bit of a makeover but has good food 2) parking is limited, (this might be a deal breaker for some). There are 4 spots our front and 2 more that they say can be used at the back of the building. 3) cleanliness, overall the place is clean, high level of hygiene. BUT... a pet peeve of mine is dishes / glasses that have been through the dishwasher and are “clean” but have food particles still stuck on the inside or hazy from the rinse cycle. My glass of water had some stuff stuck on the inside and looked like it could have used a quick wipe down after the wash. Another thing that I found strange and a little unprofessional, I asked for an itemized receipt at the end of our visit and was told they do not offer that. I thought maybe it was a communication error, but was reassured that they do not give itemized receipts, only the debit machine receipt showing the transaction was completed. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant but I do hope they can improve the overall experience and improve the quality of their main dishes to match up with their appetizers.

What an amazing food treat we got at this place!! We were on our way from Canada's Wonderland to Niagara and were looking for an Indian restaurant on the way for dinner! From the time we called, till we arrive, than served and finally left - the experience was simply awesome; Warm People; Tastilicious Food, Warm Hospitality, Mr. Prashant and Team did take care of us very well; We are from Ottawa and it was indeed a treat to taste a food like Feast of Dilli.

I don't review many places, but I must say, the service was awesome here. The server, who I assume was one of the owners really wanted to make his patrons happy. I unfortunately ordered something that was a little too spicy, to which I was cautioned about, but being the stubborn person I am, still ordered. That being said, the gentleman saw my struggle and did everything in his power to improve my meal. Props to you guys. Naan was great, and despite the heat, meal was great. Will definitely be back.

authentic North Indian Reataurant. My wife and I had dinner there this evening. The chef came out and spent some time with us at our table. He shared few of his techniques with us that truely differentiated the taste from other Indian restaurants. He has so much passion and love for cooking. The place was clean and the food was fresh and flavourful without the heat. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a true Utter Predesh style home cooked meal.

Food is fresh cooked, very delicious and many choices for all vegetarian and non-vegetarians. I tried multiple indian restaurants around Mississauga recently with my family but this is the best tasty food we had here at reasonable prices. We tried chicken rada, butter chicken, paneer achari, kashmiri pulao and all were amazing. Coffee made with gur (jaggery) is worth to mention for it's uniqueness. I am looking forward to do many more visits and try more menu items to enjoy.

This is my favorite local Indian resto. The folks are super friendly, the manager and chef always make sure you are happy. The chef loves spicy food, so be prepared the spicy dishes pack a punch! Everything I've tried is so tasty and always excellently made. The kitchen is not fast, but it's always worth the wait.

We frequent this place a few times a year. We drive from Kitchener as the food flavors are excellent. During our last few visits, the service has been extremely slow. Last night we waited well over an hour for our food. Others came in after us, they received their food, ate and left before we got our food.

Ordered food at 6:24 pm was told food would be here in an hour. It’s 8:57 pm and still no food. We’ve called 5 times asking where our food is and they keep saying “it’ll be there in 10 minutes” ... lying to customers after you’ve already failed to deliver within an hour is literally pathetic in this day of age. When we called at and hour and half later and asked what discount they’d be giving us they said “none”. Unfortunately, we already gave these CROOKS our friggan credit card number. Don’t make the same mistake as us. Our Friday night in has been ruined, and as someone who works in customer service I am floored.

My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time last week. The food was excellent overall , we especially liked the tandoori chicken and the seekh kabob as appetizers. The whole meal was delicious and we certainly had enough for leftovers the next day. Portions were generous, everything fresh and appealing. The service was friendly and attentive , definitely worth a second visit soon. I think we finally found our "go to Indian restaurant"

Been waiting to visit Feast of Dilli, and when friends from Montreal came to Toronto and craved some good Indian cuisine, the first place that came to mind was this place. Our experience was thoroughly enjoyable, from the mouth watering flavours to the hospitality. Not to mention that everyone in the restaurant were either regulars or very happy first timers. I'm trying to remember the things we had...Madras Lamb (so rich and delicious) Butter Chicken (classic, very bright flavours, so tasty) Giant garlic Naan that I'm sure can't be duplicated. A very tasty veg Paneer dish that isn't even on the menu. Numerous appetizers that were all excellent. Our meal was rounded off with the most delicious Masala Chai. I look forward to a return visit and highly recommend you visit!

They justify the fact that they are bringing Delhi to you.. they serve you jeera rice exactly how you will find it back home. I just thoroughly enjoyed my first meal from this neighborhood restaurant. I ordered their Signature chicken (Cashew chicken), Aloo Gobi and garlic naan for take out and 20 minutes later it was ready. I have to say, this meal was one of the most tasty and generously proportioned meals I've had from a sit down restaurant, bar none. I will definitely be eating their food again, often.

Fantastic food! Picked up dinner for Diwali tonight and I was so impressed by the service and quality of the food. Not sure if it was the owner but gentleman from the kitchen came out to let me know he was adding dessert to our meal because of the special holiday. So yummy. All the dishes were great, especially the lamb biryani which is not a dish I normally eat (not a big fan of lamb) but they do it right! Will definitely be back for more.

The meat is always cooked to perfection and I always enjoy what I get. However, it can be a bit pricey, the menu lacks depth and some of the dishes seem to be a replica of others that are on the menu. Some of our sauces have been watery too. But, definitely worth trying out every so often.

If you have 3 hours to kill before eating, Feast of Dilli is for you! If you enjoy being lied to about your delivery wait times, Feast of Dilli is for you! My friends and I helped move our friends and their newborn into a new home and decided to order food to save on dishes. Little did we know we would have to wait 3 hours before our food arrived. We called a few times to confirm it was still coming, and were told 10 minutes, each time. If you read this review in the future, we may still be waiting. I’m not worried about wait times, but I’d like to have a reasonable timeline on arrival. We were also greeted with terrible customer service when we called. I’m sure the food is delicious but I may never know. EDIT: it never came, so I’ll never know.

This place is gold! We ordered chai, aloo kulcha, achaari paneer, roti and raisini dal and gulab jamun. Everything was so delicious and well made. The most differentiating factor about this place though is their customer service. It was our first time here but they treated us like family and we absolutely loved the experience. Had some take out. Food was not very good at all. All meat dishes had meat pieces that were severely dry. Towards the end of my dinner, I found one piece of hair inside the oil soaked samosa, and another one in between a piece of potato and calliflower. I very much doubt I will be returning. Oh yeah, curry dishes tasted like they were from jars i.e. overly oily, bland in terms of spice, and sweet for some reason...

If you like Indian food this place is for you! This is my current favorite Indian! I am happy to report they make a proper vindaloo! It is vindaloo hot! The vindaloo is my favorite curry, if we are having Indian; I’m having vindaloo! This is easily the hottest Vindaloo I have ever had in Canada!!! Hopefully they will keep it up and not Canadianize it!! I start off with a veg samosa. From there I have had both the Chicken and the Lamb vindaloo both were excellent. The rice is good and my favorite bread the paratha is tasty. The people are very friendly and helpful. A wonderful family run Indian! Go there support these guys!

This is hands down the best Indian food in the West end. Our family has eaten here many times and we absolutely love the food. Authentic, delicious Indian food. We highly recommend the Malak paneer. Mmmmm. The garlic naan is ???? amazing. The service is also great, but my 5 star review is strictly about the food. Unfortunately, their bathrooms are not nice at all. Worst customer service experience ever! Just walked in and out of the restaurant within 15 mins. Restaurant opened at 4 pm on Sunday as per the site. As per the menu nothing mentioned about lunch timings decided the food and requested for server, server came and asked for the food we wanted... were told the food selected is from lunch menu without any timings mentioned on the menu... Typically you would see lunch menu run from Monday to Friday this time to that time but nothing mentioned... It was fine with us to go with something else but the way it was told it was very derogatory and disrespectful... Just left the place. Worst customer service received ever... One of the best restaurants in entire Ontario. They are the sweetest couple and they have magic in their hands. I tried their naan for the first time today, and it was like air. Even lighter that a chapati. The garlic chicken is heavenly soft and rich in flavours. The chef is extremely experienced and can make a dish according to one’s flavours and recommendations. I eat here regularly. The food and staff are great and make every effort to please. Today I walked in and there was a large party with one extremely loud person directing the ordering of more food and where it should go. I was waiting for this person to start telling people which utensil to use. Never once did the words please or thank you emerge from this individual. I could tell that there would be trouble while they were eating because I've seen this type of person before. Toward the very end of their meal, an order of paratha arrived and the person insolently and sarcastically demanded from the staff, how were they supposed to eat the paratha after the meal? OK, it was late, but the staff had done an amazing job serving these people with ongoing additions almost to the end. This person was incredibly rude and pushed the poor waiter over the edge and the waiter responded angrily. The customer declared that a negative review would be posted online. This is a review of this customer. Don't believe anything that may be said if the person actually writes something. This is a very pleasant family restaurant, with kind staff and good food.

In my opinion it was not at all worth the hype. I saw the reviews and wanted to try it out, had ordered chicken Biryani for take out and it was more like chicken pulao just yellow rice and chicken pieces. May be it would have been a different experience with other food items but I am never going to try Biryani there ever again. Have stayed in Delhi for more than three years and there are many varieties of Biryani but nothing like this. Even my wife who cooks learning you tube can cook 100times better than this. What happens if you get five star food and one star service? A three star review. The food was fantastic - absolutely top notch. Excellent flavour balance, deliciously spiced. Chicken was tender and juicy. But in order to get the chicken I had to wait 15 min for even a menu. Water was given but never refilled. It's a shame because I'm sure one extra server during the evening rush would've changed the entire experience. So my recommendation would be: Go for takeout, or consult the graph here, see when it's busy and avoid the restaurant during those hours. Or be OK with a bit of a wait (and really, had I not been very hungry, I'd likely have happily just read my book until they could fit me in.)

Some of the best North Indian food I've had in the GTA. Toronto, for a city with many Indians, seems to have a surprising lack of good Indian food - with many restaurants serving up tomato puree doused with cream. Feast of Dilli serves up authentic tasting north Indian food - a more homemade style (which I like). The food isn't overly spicy and it seems like it is prepared in butter. The owner is quite the character and is fun to interact with. The restaurant reminds me a little bit of a dhaba in it's ambience and experience.

Have done take out there about five times now. Great place with friendly service. I find the portions a good size and the taste is very nice. They'll do the nan when you arrive so it's fresh. This has become our favourite local Indian spot.

I don't normally post but this restaurant blew me away it's a tiny gem that most people would walk by. It is cozy and inviting once you get inside and the staff is beyond friendly. Their suggestions were right on the ball and their food was worth the hour long trip to try it. If you skip this restaurant you're missing out it's fantastic and a very reasonable price you get way more than your paying for. Definitely try Feast of Dilli!

Chef JP is a master of his craft. If you are sick and tired of eating run of the mill dishes, please consider his Delhi Style Cashew Chicken dish. It is seriously finger licking good. In fact, I'd go as far as saying, if you look up the phrase "finger licking good" in the dictionary, you'd probably find a picture of Chef JP's Cashew Chicken right next to it. It's a very rich, Mughlai dish. It tastes as royal as it sounds. The portions are super generous. The food is deliciously fresh. The plain butter Naans actually taste like someone slaved over a hot tandoor and tossed them in your plate just as they were done. they are just fresh out of the tandoori. You can actually taste the softness of the dough that was used to make them. I can't even begin to describe the lachcha parathas. This is the first time in All of North America that I've had parathas like this. You break off a piece and your heart so gs, Yes! This is how it's done. This has been my experience. Love after first bite.

When we called after 90 minutes, we were told within ten minutes, then we were lied to again and again each time we called to check in. They would not entertain any kind of discount despite the horrible service. The manager of the restaurant was really courteous and ambiance of the place was good but coming to food I specially came from Sarnia to try some authentic food but I am really disappointed as my dessert was missing in my takeout order and had chicken korma and mango chutney and the moment I took my first bite off it resulted in upset stomach. It is clear that ready-made sauces are used. It is not delicious. Butter chicken is very sweet, and the prices are also high and the quantity is low. I will never repeat the visit. Look for a better place. ! I was never asked about the taste of buttered chicken if I wanted it mild or spicy and I am sure it was not mild but rather sweet. I have gone to many Indian restaurants so I am aware of what I have to say. I hope the quality of the food will improve, especially the biryani, of which we did not eat anything due to the bad flavor.

A hidden gem. A different take on Indian food that I haven't tasted in a long time. A real touch of indian food. The chef gives you a very personalized experience catering to your taste. Ask for some special and he will go out of his way to make you something thats not on the menu. My go to place when i crave indian food. Recommenations: butter chicken, cashew chicken, black pepper chicken, and ask for the special naan. And if you are still not full, ask for the biryani.

We went there after seeing impressive reviews/comments, but such a disaster turned out for us. This place is not worth more than 1 star. Right from waiting to get a seat for dine-in to ordering our food, everything was working at such a slow pace that we had to ask them to pack our food away. We were there in the restaurant for more than an hour and all we got, two pieces of papad as complimentary and samosa chat-filled green chutney (yuck). We thought food will make up for a wasted time but that also was not good. Not sure if people who appreciate their food ever tried other Indian restaurants. People there are good Indian restaurant. • Butter chicken – Too sweet and the chicken they used was frozen for sure • Chicken Biryani – it is simply chicken pulao and that too bad one • The only good was naan.

This is one of the best Indian restaurants in Toronto. Pleasantly surprised...is outstanding! We ordered the lamb (very tender), Goan fish, okra, butter chicken, naan bread and rice. The portions were good. It's a hole in the wall Gem! You're not over paying for contemporary decor. Instead you're paying fair prices for high quality food. Only downfall is the service can be a bit slower especially if the restaurant is full. But it's worth the wait!

The next day the owner called and was very apologetic and explained what happened, the driver had car trouble. So to make up for that he sent us out free lunch. My husband and I moved to a new neighborhood and stumbled upon this place, decided to give it a try! We got takeout from here. We parked on the street. It's a small place, very small patio. I think they have about 4 to 5 tables. We ordered roti, channa masala, peas pulao and tadka daal. Everything was fresh and tasted good. Channa masala was combination of sour+spicy+sweet so if someone doesn't like sour taste in their food, they might find it weird. We enjoyed our dinner and will keep coming back!

One thing, it's all a bit too spicy and you can't taste as much flavour as you'd like because of the heat. Definitely can't share most of this with my kids. But we would order from here again in a heartbeat.
